I am a writer, singer (no need to practice at home) and tabletop game designer. Independent, easy-going with flatmates and unintrusive. Mostly I keep to myself but I'm not shy and can work and cooperate with groups. I travel light and budget hard to avoid needless expenses. Right now, I'm tossing up whether to stay in Sydney or move to Melbourne or possibly Newcastle, but if something comes up soon in Sydney, I will stay. I am bright and mature, and get on with people of any age. When it comes to cleanliness, I like to keep up a good standard without being anal or pushy. I don't mind sharing or helping out as needed, within reason. Have a car and happy to drive people around sometimes. Other interests include martial arts (very rusty though), history, psychology, world events and futurology, arts and media, and esoteric studies. I have an equivocal mindset and am open to a wide variety of worldviews, as long as I get the same in return. I am also open to living pretty much anywhere in Sydney, though I would prefer somewhere cheap, and in the vicinity of the locations listed. I don't have social media, but can cite any number of friends and associates for a reference. I have plenty of experience living with a wide variety of different people.
My job has just moved to Rydalmere, I'm looking to find some place close to there to cut down on my commute. An ideal room would have space for a double bed and a desk, with an attached ensuite or private bathroom. An ideal house is clean and friendly with clean and friendly housemates. Also somewhere I can put my car. I like to occasionally cook and to have a chat over dinner but aside from that I'll be keeping mostly to myself. References from current and previous housemates/landlords on request can be provided on request. Flexible with move in date. I can move in any time on or after the 20th of January.
Very chill and clean, I keep my things organized. I'm very sociable, I like to talk and to have a good relationship with those I live with. I'm studying Patisserie at TAFE Meadowbank and I work part-time as an Apprentice Pastry Chef.
Hi :) I am an environmental law student at Macquarie University, with one year of study left. I am kind, friendly and outgoing, love getting to know new people, am respectful of others' space, and live a good balance of work, study and relaxation. I also work part time, and have just come back from a semester exchange in Copenhagen, Denmark. Looking for clean, friendly and reliable people to live with for the year!
Hello there, I'm Tina, 33 and currently looking for room in a friendly and comfortable environment. I am easy going, mostly keep to my own, clean, quiet and responsible. I am not much of a party animal but I do enjoy hanging out with friends when I get the chance. I usually work in retail but I have taken 2 months off to re energize myself after a year of total burn out. (UPDATE: I NOW HAVE A P/T JOB) I am now actively looking for a new job (though I assure you I have enough savings to pay rent) and will be studying at Macquarie Uni as of February, so I need a new place that will be more centralized. I am a bit of a geek, I enjoy gaming on my PS4 and am quiet the movie buff. I also enjoy creating special effects makeup, reading and learning new skills. I am of Greek background so I could probably cook up a delicious Greek dish if you wish, too! I am looking for a private room, as long as there is a desk, a bed and a wardrobe I'll be happy. No preference in a specific gender household, as long as you are cool with having a laugh once in a while. I prefer a place close to transport also as I do not drive. If I sound like someone you'd like to have around, then message me! :) T.
I'll be moving from Adelaide to Sydney in January 2018. I'll consider most areas, as long as it's close to public transport and a supermarket. I'm on a disability pension, I'm very quiet, organised, and keep to myself. I'm not looking for party houses, or to be around smokers/drug users. No shared rooms, thanks! If you have any questions please contact me.
My partner and I are looking at moving to Sydney at the start of February. Currently we live in Melbourne. I will be doing a master's program at MQ uni and teaching ESL part time, and my partner will be working part time. We are looking for a quiet studio or granny flat.
I completed my masters at Macquarie university and will soon be on temporary visa. I like my personal space and respect others space as well. Well, a glimpse of me: A tidy person who love sports, occasionally cooking food, going gym etc etc the list is long so let's skip that at the moment. I am looking for few people to team up with and find a place which we can call our home for at least a year and for now maximum 2 years.
I'm a 31 year old academic at Macquarie University looking for a place to live close to work. I work Mon-Fri, 9-5 and am out a couple of evenings a week at martial arts training. Apart from that I like to cook and relax with a nice beer, watching sport on TV. I'm from Adelaide so I'm fairly laid back. I'm an experienced share-houser and am tidy, quiet and respectful but not a hermit!
Very Introverted Kid who is about to commence studying Applied finance at Macquarie Uni. I have a full time job which i plan to continue whilst I study. My hobbies include Running, basketball and a assortment of video games. I prefer to spend my nights in my room and getting to bed at a reasonable time.
I'm a student at Macquarie Uni. I'm from Hanoi, Vietnam. In addition to characteristics like being friendly, responsible, caring, sweet, funny, bla bla ( 😆😆), I can make Vietnamese traditional dishes and I would love to introduce them to my roomies/ housemates sometimes. Also, I'm into boardgames ( werewolf, exploding kitten, uno, bang, catan,... ) I can communicate in Vietnamese, English and ( a little) Japanese. I'm a cat person. Dear future flatmate/ roomate/ housemate ( or whatever word you prefer), we could be great friends. 😎
I am a French student and I am currently in the first year of a Master of Biology in Paris. I’ll come to Sydney from mid-February (or the beginning of March) to mid-July for a research internship. I’ll work with a team of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Macquarie University. I am looking for an inexpensive place to live near the University (because I won’t have a car). I would enjoy to live with flatmates as it will be the opportunity to meet people (from Australia or not). I’ll be at home the evening, for the meal, and the weekend. I also wish to discover Sydney during this free time.
Hey, I am a visiting postgrad student at Macquarie University. I am from Germany and I have lived in shared flats my whole student life. I love sports, little adventures, sharing food and stories. I am tidy and uncomplicated. My budget is very limited (100-150 would be perfect), thus I am looking for a very simple room, furnished would be perfect!
I'm quiet and to myself, very accommodating and easy to get along with. Clean, reliable, friendly. I'm studying at Macquarie University, and work for the campus magazine so I'll be at uni or work most days. If I'm not busy, I'm a homebody, so will be curled up in bed with a cup of tea and a book. I'm vegetarian and cook a lot, always happy to cook for others.
We are masters' students looking for a two bedroom house/ flat near the train station. We work part time and are in our early 20's. A furnished house is preferred but semi furnished is also good to go. We are accommodative, keep the place tidy and pay rent on time. Please inbox with your phone number if you have a suitable place for us. PS - we are looking for a house/apartment near the train station. Thank you.
I am just like any other student out there. I come from Ahmedabad, India & will be doing my postgraduate studies in Sydney. I am an easy going person, won't invade your private space. I need a place to reside, temporarily initially but can be extended if everyone is comfortable. I often go for walks & surf some music to get my mind off of things.
I am a student from Macquarie Uni taking Masters of Accounting (CPA Extension). My past working experience is a Finance Analyst in Deutsche Bank Group - Manila for 3 years. I resigned last year to pursue post grad degree. I came here in Australia Feb 2017 I live in Parramatta since March 2017 with the same flatmates. As I am approaching to my 3rd semester, uni is getting tougher and I am aiming to do my CPA subjects this year so it will be best for me to move closer uni at the same time parking in Parramatta is an issue. I am easy going, down to earth, respects privacy, tidy, and minimalist when it comes to house. I always make sure to find balance between being quiet and being sociable. I am used to living in a shared apartment / dormitory from my bachelor and working days. All housemates are my good friends until today. I am looking for a private bedroom / studio with parking. I am willing to pay 1 month worth of rent as well! :) hope to hear from you soon!
We are from India and currently studying in Macquarie Uni. Also working part time in a marketing company. We love to keep our living place neat and clean and Also co-operate with other flatmates to keep place tidy.
Hey, I moved over from NZ earlier this year. I currently work as a support worker for a disability service, and I'm also gaining a qualification in community service at TAFE. I'm a non-smoker, and my idea of a good night is rolling up in a blanket and watching a movie, reading a book or playing games. Having said that, I do enjoy socialising, and I won't say no to a good night out with friends. I'm looking for a place to share with tidy, responsible people who understand we all play a part in making a home.
Hey! I'll be moving to Sydney from Perth (first week of Jan 2018) to start my Postgraduate studies at Macquarie University. I'm super chilled and easy to get along with. I make it a point to keep everything in the house clean and tidy. Definitely someone who respects the privacy of others. I love soccer, travelling, technology, social entrepreneurship, reading, music and movies! Room preference - Looking for a private room with my own bathroom (en-suite). Since I drive, I also need a parking spot. And most importantly, decent internet!! Please let me know if there's any additional information you'd like to know!
I am a 23 year old student at Macquarie University, studying a Bachelor of Medical Sciences in my second year. I am very quiet and keep to myself, I'm honestly not much of a talker, but please don't take that to mean that I'm not friendly. I consider myself a bit of a phantom housemate - rarely seen or heard. I do have a boyfriend that I like to have over sometimes [we're both quiet, we generally study and play games together], but otherwise I don't party or like to have people over. I spend most of my time studying, playing video games and listening to music, however you won't have to put up with my tastes as I know that sound travels throughout a house and so keep it down, especially at night. I am also a very strict non-smoker. I am generally tidy and clean up after myself, both in my own room and in common areas. I'm a light user of the kitchen, and follow a "clean as you go" mindset, and always clean up when I'm done. I also always pay my rent on time! I've been living independently for ~7 years, so I like to think I'm a bit experienced with sharing spaces with others. Anywhere within a ~10 minute walk to a train station on the T1 line is ideal, or within walking distance to MQU. I do have my own furniture, so I would prefer an unfurnished room - I have a double bed, a desk and a bookshelf. I can supply all of my own things like towels and plates/bowls/cutlery if needed, so the only things I would need to share would be a washing machine, dryer/clothesline [or space for a drying rack] and fridge. I adore cats and can happily live with them, dogs depend. Please feel free to get in contact with me and ask any questions, I hope to meet you and become a great housemate~ - Blake
