***UPDATE - I will be overseas from 20th Jan to 10th Feb so will have delayed response times during this period**** My name is Jess, nice to meet you! I’m 26 and a Paramedic Student at QUT. My current place is being sold and so I'm looking to move somewhere near Enogerra / Newmarket (close to train and bus) by the 25th Feb 2019. I’m friendly, clean and respectful - hopefully you are too! Life is pretty busy at the moment with study, casual work and volunteering (plus some exercising and socialising squeezed in), so I'm looking for an easy going house where I can relax and feel at home. As far as share houses go, I've had some really good ones and made some great friends along the way. I'm happy to socialise with you - board game nights, housemate dinners /drinks etc. are always fun. I will also give you your space when you want it. I always pay bills on time, pick up after myself and help keep communal areas clean. If you would like to know more please feel free to swing me a message :) Cheers, Jess
My name is Rachael and I'm a 26 year old single female. I work full-time Monday to Friday as an accountant in the city and also study part-time as a distance education uni student, which keeps me busy in my spare time! I have a well-trained 8 year old Pomeranian named Lola who is used to living in rental apartments/townhouses and has lived with other dogs and cats in the past with no problems. I like to keep things neat and tidy and keep to myself mostly (due to studying), however enjoy a chat/wine every now and then! Move date is flexible and am looking for a minimum stay length of approximately six months, but happy to stay longer.
Studying to be a Vet Nurse, I have an old grumpy (but friendly) cat called Jupiter, I'm clean and keep to myself most of the time, but always up for a chat! I'm either at work, at TAFE, or at gym, or you'll find me potatoing on the couch watching dumb tv shows.
I am 18 years old, please don’t be discouraged by my age. I was born and grew up, here, in Brisbane. I am very easy going, clean, friendly and reliable. For work I work in childcare as an early childhood educator, I usually (99.99% of the time) work 5 days a week... So on the weekends I usually just like to relax and enjoy my me time or have a cheeky night out in town.
Hello fellow members of flatmatesAUS! My name is Chloe, but my friends calls me "Chloence," I am known for my countless efforts of keeping both my workplace and my home fun and uplifting, i also prefer to keep my place tidy just incase of guests, and force of habit. If you like to keep your bathrooms floordrobe free and have toilets that make your #2 smell like roses too, then hit us up with a message! If you'd like to have a house-mate as a local bartender, or just a human nocturnal friend to sit up late and talk shit with then again swing us a message! Just a cruisy, spastic looking for someone to either team up with -or- move in with, and just to go about our lives as normal and respect each others privacy :)
I'm an easy going bloke who likes to keep my home clean. I work 6 days a week and try to exercise regularly so I usually like to relax on my day off. I'm always up for having a good convo and even a cheeky drink every now and then. I'm ideally looking for a 2 bed, 2 bath unit/townhouse to share with just one other flatmate. Open to the idea of either moving into existing Sharehouse or starting up a new one with someone from this site. I have all my own furniture in storage so can bring as much or as little as needed. Looking to secure a place in the next couple of weeks.
I’m looking to start a new household with another female, preferably close in age to myself. I’m 22, work full time and have an 11 month old toy cavoodle. He is very well behaved, quiet and pretty well toilet trained. I would love a housemate that will occasionally join in on weekend adventures and movie nights at home. I also enjoy time to myself and am very respectful of space and privacy. Wanting to move into a townhouse, house or villa. Something with at least a small grassed courtyard for my dog and a garage. I will be ready to move mid January. Would love to catch up for a coffee or chat on the phone to discuss!
I'm Mikaela, but I also go by Mink. I'm 20years old (soon to be 21) and I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Behavioral Science and working as a bartender to pay the bills. A love for horror movies, cats and coffee sum me up as a human. For 2019 I'm trying to achieve a more harmonious lifestyle and am planning to move closer towards the city to allow for a better work/uni/life balance. Ideally I'm looking for somewhere with bills included in the rent to allow easy budgetting as well as to move in sometime through Febuary so I can be settled in before uni starts to heat up. I am more introverted leaning and don't mind keeping in my own company but that's definitely not to say I don't like to be social as well. I do have a boyfriend so housemates who are comfortable with having him visit the house or occasionally stay over would be great.
Hi, my name is Carla. I've just moved back to Brisbane after living in Melbourne for the past 8 years or so (hence the snow profile photo). I'm currently working full-time but will start studying Horticulture in a few weeks as a complete career change! I'm really excited about this new path and I am hoping to find a place with a garden so I can put all my horticulture studies into practice. I really like being outdoors - hiking, swimming, sailing. I also sew clothes, and dye fabrics with natural dyes (e.g. turmeric). I'm hoping to start my own label pretty soon. I'm a really friendly, gentle-natured person. I can be pretty social or a bit of a hermit, so I'm looking for a friendly household where we're all up for a chat, group dinners and hanging out sometimes, but also respect each other's need for space and quiet. I'm pretty flexible on locations as finding the right people to live with is more important to me. I can move in anytime. I have some furniture and white goods which I'm happy to bring into the house, or else I'll sell them.
Hi there! I'm Zoe! I'm currently searching for a social share house with people who are down for a chat but also respect a closed door policy. I'm a student, studying a double of Psychology and Social Work and I also work part-time as a Disability Support Worker. When I'm not working or studying, I enjoy to paint, listen to music, cook and drink some (cheap) scotch. Feel free to shoot me a message :)
I'm a wellbeing consultant and yoga teacher to corporates & veterans/emergency services, and moving back to Brisbane from the Sunshine Coast for work. I am friendly and love being able to connect and laugh, tidy and respectful of boundaries sharing a space, and really value clear (and kind) communication between housemates :) I'm looking for somewhere that is pet friendly but (unfortunately) with no other pets present, as mine are rescues and have past trauma: 1. Very loving and loveable 5 year old husky - OUTSIDE only (seriously) and loves humans, would love any attention given :) 2. Sweet, timid 10 year old cat - INSIDE only, is litter-trained and doesn't do a whole lot other than sleep I've lived where I currently am for 5 years with no issues with real estate or landlords regarding the pets and can provide dog-training certificates etc. I'm not a partier but can enjoy a wine or two (out or at home) over good conversation, and also value and respect time to yourself. I love exploring new places outdoors or food/coffee/wine-related, or where I can people watch or read a good book. I'm also partial to a good Netflix series. Otherwise, I spend a lot of my time working on my business. I'm looking for somewhere that has space for my desk where I work from home (but I'm out teaching enough - especially in the evenings - that it doesn't feel like I'm there all the time). Bonus: I also come with an espresso coffee machine! I also have white goods that are pretty brand new (including a large fridge which is super ideal when sharing space with others) and super comfy lounge suite (can confirm: best napping couch!) My move date is just dependent on finding the right place. My current lease ends in April so will DEFINITELY need somewhere by then, but would love sooner. Let me know if you have any other questions :)
I have just completed my undergraduate studies in Computer Science at The University of Melbourne and will be starting a full-time honours program at The University of Queensland in February and thus am looking for a room to rent. I am a very independent, considerate and clean house mate, having lived in shared accommodation since I was 18. I like to eat well, exercise regularly and enjoy the odd drink. I also enjoy hanging out around the house and like sharing interests with the people I live with.
Hi, my name is Travis, I'm 27, single, gay, super clean, super tidy and super dorky, I'm respectful of personal space but also don't mind hanging out, specially if it involves Netflix and a big box of Cadbury Favourites although wouldnt mind a housemate who I can be friends with at the same time. I'm not a party animal but don't mind going into the city or somewhere nice for a couple drinks on the rare occasion, so I'd like a housemate who is similar in that sense and who has a friendly and easy going personality that's clean and tidy. :) I'm currently working 20 hours a week as a night shift Environmental Services Assistant at the HSNPH in Chermside and I am looking at starting study in IT next year whilst working. Im after a place that has the following, - Pet free - Smoke free - Drug free - Child free - LGBT friendly - Air-conditioning - Non party house - Off street parking - 1 other person maybe 2 max depending on the person/situation - Queen size room with built in (Unfurnished) - Ensuite (Preferable) (Will pay more) - Storage (Preferable) - New or Newish house/townhouse or apartment (preferably) - Super clean, as I am really clean myself so ideally Id like my future housemate to be the same as I work as a cleaner and as you can imagine its not very nice to come home to a messy or smelly house. I do have a few bits and bobs that need to be stored, some I can just chuck in the cupboard and under my bed but I do have a sensor dryer and also a mountain bike which I'd like to keep out of the weather. If you like what you read and feel I'm suitable please done hesitate to message me.
I currently work in retail, and have just started studying Law. I am shy and introverted, so I keep to myself most of the time, but I do enjoy spending time with my friends (they all have places suitable for catching up, so I'll have no need to invite them over). I am very tidy, and therefore would prefer a tidy flatmate/s. I would also prefer my own bathroom for this reason, but beggars can't be choosers. I have no need for a car space, I don't have any pets, and I am not a smoker (and would not like to flat with smokers if possible).
I am a full time uni student working part time in retail. I would much rather stay at home and watch Netflix than go out drinking so I would love to have a friendly and relaxed home environment to spend my limited free time in.
I’m from Greece and I’ve been living and working in Australia for five years. I am a tidy and independent person who works full time and studies part time. I’m friendly a respectful person looking for a nice place to live. I’ve been living with my current flatmate (female) for the last five years with no issues but now she is moving to her own place so it’s time to leave home.
My girlfriend and I are very laid-back, open and chill individuals. We are both coming from Los Angeles to Australia to travel and to work. I am a professional soccer player and will be playing for Mitchelton FC and Lauren is a professional dancer and will be working for Velvet Rope Entertainment. We have always wanted to come to Australia and are really excited to start this new adventure. We are always down to have a good time and are considerate and respectful of all.
Hi, my names Cait. I’m a full-time working who is looking to start studying mid-2019. “Wow, you’re such a good room mate” - mum
Hi my names katie. I am currently living in USA but I was born in Australia. I was born in brisbane and then lived there from 2008-2014 so I do know the area. I will be moving back to brisbane in January 2020. For fun, I like to sit down with some mates and have a drink and a chat.
I am currently working most days, i consider myself respectful and considerate. Always able to pay rent and clean. I have my adorable puppy with me, shes almost a year old and loves attention, her name is Nina and she's a quiet but playful Maltese shih-tzu. I am almost 19 and enjoy art in my spare time, also spend a lot of weekends on the gold coast, I plan to study nursing in the near future. I have just lived in a sharehouse for 6 months and alone 6 months before that. I'm now looking for a friendly household to share/ move into with respectful, easy to live with people.
Hey! My name is Paige. I currently live in Toowoomba QLD. I’m looking for a place to live in for approx 6 months until my partners lease has ended so we can move in together! I have a job down in Brisbane also. I am extremely easy to live with. I keep to myself and am very tidy. I’m not much of a party animal, only on special occasions. I do smoke cigarettes but only outside. I game professionally, so spend a lot of time streaming. TIA :)
Hi! I’m a 21 year old uni student in my final year of study. I’m a pretty relaxed person, don’t mind having a few people over every now and again. I work part time in retail to fuel my need to have take out on several occasions a week. We’ll get along if you love swapping travel stories, easy going, and are always up for a chat.
I'm an international student from Sweden. Easy going guy, very friendly and tidy. I like living in a clean house. Do like being able to sit down at night and have dinner with roommates but also have my own private space in my room. I like to cook and even to clean, so my room will be tidy. Very social guy but busy during the days. Oliver is a full Aussie, studying at QUT in Brisbane. He is a very social, easy going and friendly guy. Works part-time.
Looking for a Room with in a House with some good vibes! I work in the Building Industry, I'm also In the Army. I'm Usally out on weekends, and I play my Guitar and Sing. Mmmkay I wanna move into a clean environment, 420 friendly (I dont smoke) Send your number.
Very happy bubbly girl, love adventures and sports. Very respective of others and clean. Have most necessary furnishings eg, fridge, washing machine, I also have a queen and a double bed available. (So big expensive furnishing will happily be provided). I am a cheerleader and also study sport science at qut. I love animals and pasta 🙂 I’m looking for a respectful person that is interested in looking for and renting a new place with myself.
Will move almost anywhere in Brisbane. I prefer Northside living but if I'm near a train line, it's definitely an option. I'm quite neat and tidy, not much of a party goer. My friends would say I'm funny, kind, and easy-going. I just graduated from QUT with a bachelor's degree in Justice and I'm a young professional in a law firm in Brisbane's CBD. I love to cook & bake so if you're down for homemade veg burrito bowls, sushi and stir fry's, i'm always up for shared meals. I have two pets - Deja, my cat, and Jinx, my dog. Deja lives inside (my room basically) and Jinx is an inside and outside dog. She's incredibly well trained and very friendly. I take her out to markets, the beach, and cafe's quite frequently, and she gets along with other animals and children.
Originally from Townsville and living in Brisbane to complete my studies. Right now, I'm a third year student studying Civil Engineering at QUT while working as a Pharmacy Assistant in Clayfield. In my downtime, I like reading, maybe watching some TV and just relaxing. I like to swim for fitness so be prepared for me to smell faintly of Chlorine, and also like going for bush walks or a run if the weather is a bit cooler. I like cooking and baking, and experimenting in the kitchen, so be prepared to some killer meals
Im 21 years old, currently working full time and looking for somewhere new to live as my current lease ends on the 31st of January. Ideally I'd like to find somewhere that is available before my lease ends, however I am flexible with dates. I’m looking to move in with someone roughly the same age. I am very tidy and respectful of others. I generally like to keep to myself, however always down for a chat.
Hi, we're Krystal (28) and Scott (30). We've just come back from a working holiday in Japan and are looking for a new place to live. We're friendly, quiet, clean and would love to live with people who are similar to us. Krystal is a writer with interests in language, reading, travel, music, animals and nature. Scott is an engineer who loves photography, mountain biking, and of course travelling! We both love camping, hiking, riding, swimming, kayaking and snowboarding!! We like to socialise every now and then, but quiet time is good too! We like to cook most nights, but we are good at cleaning up after ourselves :) We will probably go out to friends and families places at least once a week and will spend many weekends over summer camping and enjoying the great outdoors. We ideally would like a place with an undercover carpark for Scott to park his car.
Hi! I'm Hayley. Looking for a room in the Kelvin Grove/Brisbane City area. Moving in preferably before university starts. I'm an 18 year old student, beginning study at QUT Kelvin Grove campus in February. I am clean, considerate and would love to have flatmates that could also potentially be friends (but if not that's fine too I get it). For fun I like to question my existence in the universe, preferably in a dark corner - my room MUST have corners for this reason. In all seriousness I am an okay person with a decent sense of humour and I love meeting new people and watching Netflix and chillin out! Plz live with me! :) xxoox
I'm a 21 year old uni student, quiet but always friendly and happy to have a chat. I play music (guitar) and am happy to live with other musicians and to host guests and have roommates with guests around but otherwise looking for a fairly quiet place.
