$250/week29 year old man

Looking for long term housemates / new friends - either existing or new team ups. If after reading below and you think we could fit, let's have a chat ! Look for a house in / near Glen Waverley, and with two other priorities: 1. space away from bedrooms to fit a small home gym (half rack, bench, space for deadlifts) - open for everyone to use. hard pass on commercial gyms atm 2. lock up garage and off-street parking. My current lease finishes in February and aiming to secure my next long term lease by January. Searching now so that I will have ample time to find my next humble abode. I am generally a social person who is down for light chats or deep conversations, but I will also respects everyone's personal boundaries, and for the most part understand how to behave around other human beings (COVID things). If I do something that could be improved or changed to suit your behaviours, please let me know as no offence will be taken and I am sure we could work it out. Happy to take the smaller room and share a bathroom with one other person. Very much preferred if the other person's bathroom schedule does not clash with mine, more specifically in the morning around 0630, so I can comfortably get to work by 0730 every week day. Amateur cook that comes with some basic kitchen stuff and that will be aiming to try to do more home cooked meals on the side of healthy - keen to try new things, and happy to cook more to share. Share in the costs, preparation, and / or cleaning, and I am sure we can figure out our daily intake of calories for the week. FYI i like my herbs, spices, and hot chilli. In terms of furniture and white goods, I do not have the necessary items to fill a house - more specifically major items such as dining table, couch, washing machine. Hopefully you can fill that need, or trawling for secondhand ones is to be undertaken. I will however come with some house plants, but that is negotiable, and I can limit them to a small section of the house. More personally, my additional interests and hobbies - all things sci-fi, wide range of music tastes (currently immersing myself in d'n'b and melodic trap), live music events, (potentially) golf and slowly been getting back into piano. My younger brother with Autism will be staying over weekends every now and then, to give my parents some respite. Honestly not sure what else I could add to this, but if you are interested in being housemates, let's have a chat and see what happens. I look forward to hearing from you.

$180/week22 year old man

About me, My name is Duncan and I’m a 22 year man looking to find a fun, creative and supportive housemate to share a home with. I would be happy to move into an established Homeshare or find a flatmate and search for a property together. I keep myself busy throughout the week with a range of activities such as, playing video games, art/drawing, listening to music and socialising. I am qualified in security work and I am currently looking jobs in the security sector . I am looking for a housemate who is easy going, open-minded, fun, and supportive. I enjoy socialising as well as my own downtime. I am hoping to create a good balance in the home with someone who lives a similar lifestyle to my own outside of work hours. Although I really enjoy socialising I also really value time alone and I hope to find someone to live with who understands and respects this. I am hoping to find a property to rent in the south-eastern suburbs, ideally close to some shops and public transport. I drive and have my own car, however I enjoy being able to walk to a local café/shop when needing to get out of the house. I am also hoping to find a spacious property with some outdoor space. I’m also hoping to rent a property with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to create some extra space between myself and my flatmate in the home. The third room could be used as a study, a creative space, a room for storage, or a spare bedroom for guests. I’m open to discussing this with my future flatmate. This will be my second time living independently and to support me on this journey the NDIS will financially reimburse my new housemate by subsidizing their rent in exchange for some informal support. The commitment is to spend 5 hours per week providing companionship and mentoring and light support in return for free rent. These 5 hours will be structured each week and will most likely be in the evenings and weekends as this is when I would most like to have down time with my flatmate. The type of support I need is mostly need is based around cleaning, laundry, reminding/prompting about commitments and socialisation. Although I am capable of completing these tasks alone, I may need to be prompted and supervised at times. Before any final decisions are made there will be plenty of opportunity for us to get to know each other and to explore whether the arrangement will work for each of us. If this type of arrangement sounds like it would suit you please get in touch with Home Share Melbourne (ollie.bates@homeshare.org.au) who are helping me to set this arrangement up.
