Looking for somewhere not too far from the coast to call home with my two little furballs. I work full time doing shift work in the city (2 days 2 nights 4 off), but don't worry, I'm not asking anyone to tip toe around on the days I'm sleeping, just have to bear that in mind before you get the drum kit out. My days off are usually pretty chilled out. Usually spent hanging out with my doggos, going to the beach, keeping fit, getting cosy with a book, seeing friends and family, little crafty projects, gardening and relaxing. I'm an absolute plant lover so bonus if there's a bit of a garden to tinker around in. I'm respectful of others personal space and property and I hope the same in return. I'm tidy, try to be conscious of my power and water consumption and recycle where possible, would be nice to have someone like-minded. I have my bedroom furniture, a tv, a washing machine and kitchenware (currently in storage, but i have all the cool gadgets like slow cooker, rice cooker, juicer, bake ware etc) so flexible on what I bring to the table. Oh AND I have a hammock. It's heaven. Happy to share it! Doggo lover a must as my two can be very cuddly. They're tiny, only a few kg each so need a secure yard. They stay outside while I'm out and about but I let the inside when I'm home. They are well trained and I ensure they cleaned up after. If I sound like someone you'd like to share with please flick me a message. Not looking for a party house but rather a relaxing yet social space we can be comfortable to be ourselves in.
Hi. I am Roshan from Chennai, India. I am doing research on gravitational waves at OzGrav UWA. I enjoy playing most sports and am a huge cricket fan (Go CSK!). By the time I move to Perth, I would know how to cook a few dishes. Would love to learn some dishes from flatmates of other cultures as well. Looking for budget student accommodation. No specific conditions on flatmates except that I don't like indoor smoking.
I'm starting my PhD in Perth, really laid back and sociable. I'm from the UK so yes I do love a cuppa tea! Looking for a place to stay, short term or long term is fine. Looking for a place starting on the 6th January 2020!
Hey everyone, my name is Koen Franse, 24 years old, from the Netherlands! In January I'm starting my internship in Perth at UWA, which is part of my study Medical Engineering that I'm doing in the Netherlands. I'm already looking forward to living in Perth for 4 months, and it would be great to live in a house with some other students during my stay! I will be busy with my internship from 9-5, but after work I like grabbing a beer with some friends, going to parties and concerts in the weekend or doing some sports together. My hobbies are playing guitar and singing, and I would like to improve my surfing while I'm in Australia. Looking forward to meet you!
I'm easy going with a sense of humour. I don't mind cooking and doing Jobs around the house. From Perth, enjoy music, sport/being active, riding, reading, playing guitar and a few social drinks. Working and studying. Have put 3 months for now but may be wanting/able to stay longer.
Hi guys, we are from Taiwan & Germany. We are searching for a peaceful home until April, 2020. I am a student and Phil is on a working holiday visa. On weekdays we are usually quite busy working and studying whereas on days off we love going out into nature with friends or just on our own. Yes we are sport lovers, and we enjoy cooking. It would be cool if we meet people with similar hobbies, if not, we are very easy going too. Of course we also need our bits of privacy and we keep other people’s as well. Additionally to that we bring all the other wanted attributes as being clean and social.
I'm studying biomedical sciences at Norte Dame and working at a restaurant in South Perth. I love to bake and I make an amazing sourdough loaf!
Hey! I'm an environmental scientist working in contaminated sites remediation and assessment. I'm active and social with a passion for running, music, languages, and the outdoors. I tell jokes of questionable quality but am quick to laugh and smile.
I am coming to Perth for pursuing my PhD in University of Western Australia. I am very social but I like my privacy a lot. I want a peaceful place for my studies as I spend a lot of time for my education. I want my place always neat and tidy. I love pets so that I do not have any problem with sharing a flat or house with pets. I love to share house with different nationalities if its a shared place. I am a social drinker and sometimes I would love to say cheers with my flat or house mates.
I am a German engineering student who will work on his Master thesis at UWA from Mid-October to Mid-March. I am a sports and outdoor person so it would be cool if my flatmates were interested in running, swimming, cycling, hiking, camping and these things as well! I recently joined Swanny SLSC and I am about to start training for a triathlon as well! I like socializing, especially afterwork drinks and weekend activities. I have been living in shared flats for years (maximum of 8 people) and I love it. I am very tidy and clean! I'm now looking for a furnished room asap!
Hi, I'm Sam. I'll be moving over to Perth from Canberra in January to work in law. Pretty active, most weekends out on the bike, going to gym, currently training (poorly) to run a marathon. Also enjoy cooking - I'll usually do a big meal prep on Sundays for the upcoming week which I'm always happy to share :)
I've just arrived from California for a post-doc at UWA, and I'm looking for a place as soon as possible. I enjoy swimming, outdoors things, and capoeira. I'm quiet, respectful, communicative and very clean.
Eliska and Jaimee are 24yo and 22yo nurses. We are looking for something closer to our workplace’s and are looking for a third person to commit to a property. We are fun, chilled out, love the beach and like to have a little socialise over a glass of wine or two. We are not big party-goers and we do like our own space at times, but would definitely like someone open to socialising on days off. We are looking for someone who is able to cooperate easily with others, has a sense of responsibility but is fun to be around! We would prefer if the individual had either no animals or just a cat (if the property permits) but an animal lover is a must as there will be one grey feline fur-baby living in the house. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I am a student UWA starting masters next year and I work retail as well as DJ for work. I am an organised housemate who is clean and enjoys a friendly communicative household. I would like to move into a place with some outdoor space and with people who like plants (as I have many).
Hi! I will be starting my masters of medicine next year at UWA and am looking for a room to live in. I'm a friendly, relaxed person who likes cooking, playing music and exercise. I would love to live somewhere close enough to UWA or QEII to ride or catch public transport, and in a house that I will enjoy to coming home to
Somewhat alternative when it comes to making home, we treasure: 1. Open and fluid spaces over lots of rigid furniture. IMHO, a living room is best "lived in" if there is space for cartwheels and dancing rather than being a static space with a solid coffee table as a centrepiece. 2. The ability to optimise living as the seasons change. E.g. explore different layouts of the home and live flexibly rather than maintain stagnant spaces. 3. Opportunities for spontaneous creativity. Unimposing backgrounds, blank canvases, nature and simple beauty lets the spirit soar as opposed to commercial music/TV which is vexatious to the spirit. 4. Shoes off in the house. Crumby floors are no fun to play or roll around on, but we are happy to get dirty in the garden! 5. The environment. We have a long way to go in terms of living more consciously rather than conveniently but it's a working project, one step at a time with a new goal to aim for with each lunar cycle. We are: • Three people who love the richness that sharing life brings; • Clean, tidy and respectful of people's space; • Seasoned housemates (lived with blended/extended family, exchange students & travellers); • Happy to do our own thing and keen to engage as well. Mum: Works as full time Admin, part in West Perth/home/mobile office + 2 Boys: 12 and 13, the brightest, sweetest beings with great humour and enthusiasm for life. They are with mum every second week. Our few possessions include: An antique pianola, sewing machine, massage table, yoga mats & bolsters, soccer balls, Catan&Dixit, and other essentials that encourage playful creative expression and activities. Ideally, we’d share with another female (or couple) in the western suburbs of Perth conveniently located near the beach, school and public transport. Our ideal home would have: • Bath, • Garage to park our car and bikes, • Min 3-4 bedrooms, • Min 2 bathrooms. Morning birdsong is great to wake up to (not wardongs!), and a park next door or grand climbing trees on the property would be a dream. Please be in contact if you share a similar ideal for living!
