Hiya, I'm moving from Rockhampton, Queensland to Melbourne to study full-time at Swinburne University as well as work. I have recently graduated from high school with an OP2 (ATAR 98) and work two casual jobs, one at retail and one in an arts/framing store. Being a student, I will keep mostly to myself throughout the day but will always be up for a chat/dinner/TV binge in the evening. I'm quite tidy, laid back and love to have a good laugh. As I am moving interstate, I would love to have a housemate who is willing to show me around Melbourne and is interested in going out and socialising occasionally. I'm not a big alcohol drinker (but I'll gladly share one every now and again), I don't smoke nor do I do drugs. I'm looking for someone is happy, tidy and respectful. Simply put, I am looking for a friend. Hope to hear from you soon, Meg
I'm organised, easy going, and I have a good sense of humour. I enjoy casual sports and cooking although I strive to be respectful of everyone around me.
Hi! I will be moving to Melbourne soon to start a full time job. I'm a reasonably neat person with terribly average cooking skills! I'm pretty easy going and love to try new things. Would love to find a friendly household with some flatmates who can help me settle in to Melbourne, and who are happy to share a meal and a drink. I've put down to stay 4 months but am definitely open to a longer stay. Also a bit flexible with move in date :)
I'm 24 and currently employed full-time as a project engineer. I consider myself quite outgoing, easy to get along with, reliable and very sociable. I’m very neat and clean up after myself religiously. I have had experience living in share houses and on my own before so I am aware of what is expected. Besides working usual hours of 8am-5pm, in my spare time I love to play guitar, binge watch crappy TV shows and eat more than I probably should. I am usually out and about on weekends, but also enjoy the occasional night in. I would love to move into a place with social people of similar age who would be up for sharing a couple of meals or drinks with each other now and then. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
Hi my name is Elise. I am currently working in hospitality and going back to study next year to finish my Masters of Occupational Therapy Practice. I am looking for a place closer to my current work and future University placement and job opportunities. I like an equal amount of quiet time and socialising. I am friendly, easy-going and hard-working. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
My name is Trevor. I'm 31 years old and work full-time in Blackburn. I'd like to believe that I would be the perfect house mate as I am happy to cook, make sure I clean up after myself and will definitely be punctual with bills etc. I'm happy to share a meal and/or a drink or even a movie/tv series marathon, but also keep to myself at times. I try to keep myself fit by getting to the gym most mornings (yes I said try). I am looking for a place with preferably only 1 female housemate, someone who I can build a friendship with and create a fun and relaxing household. If you think this sounds like you please shoot me a message. Thanks!
I've just recently moved over from New Zealand. I work in an organics store in Balwyn, so I often bring lots free tasty organic food home. In my spare time I like to do parkour, and I read quite a bit, lots of non-fiction, about things like; gardening, philosphy, sociology, autobiographies, etc. I also used to be a chef, so I'm pretty keen on cooking. I like to think I'm pretty good to live with :) Cheers, Theo
I'm Gee, 25 years old and moving out of home for full-time work as a lawyer in Abbotsford so a place Inner East would be a godsend. Lived in NYC for a couple of months last year so have a bit of share house experience. I'm not looking for a party house and prefer a quiet and pleasant home to come back to after work, and somewhere close to great brunch spots for the weekend! I'm clean, chill and definitely love wine & chats although I understand boundaries. I have a partner so ideally I'd like a place where my housemate/s don't mind if he comes around. He has his own place though, so at the most it would be once a week. We're respectful, and so far have had no issues with his housemates, so hopefully this isn't a deal breaker! My other requirement is a place with off street parking or a parking permit. If you like the sound of this, send me a message and we can get talking :)
Hi there! My current lease is up in Feb and I'm looking for an unfurnished room to rent, preferably less than an hour commute from the city. I work full-time Monday-Friday, and tend to just stick to my routine during the week. At weekends I spend my time going out with friends, catching up with family and relaxing at home. I’m tidy, quiet and considerate and would be looking to rent with people the same. I'm always up for a chat and enjoy the occasional social drinks, movie nights, games nights and the like but also enjoy my own space too. I am moving with my 3 year old koolie, Rikku. If you’ve ever wanted a dog but don’t want the responsibility Rikku would be ideal! She’s used to living in sharehouses and loves all the people. I can assure you she’s very well trained (top level obedience and currently training in agility) and I walk her daily (she’s an excellent running partner if you need one!). Both my past landlords have known about Rikku and it’s never been a problem. She’s predominantly an outside dog but I do sometimes have her inside in the evenings to watch tv with me. She is 100% housetrained and will quickly learn to stay off furniture and out of rooms that are off limits. However she does need a backyard so unfortunately apartments/townhouses won’t work. Rikku’s never lived with other pets (except for a top goldfish named Yevin) but I would be willing to try it. She doesn't always get along with dogs but would love a cat friend. If you’ve just set up a new sharehouse (or someone just moved out and took everything) I can also provide the following (otherwise I will be storing it with the parents): -dining table -bookshelf -washing machine -fridge (fits food for 3 people) -couch & two arm chairs -chest of drawers -bean bag -coffee table Cheers :)
Hi peoplesss, 30M, looking for a long term accommodation here. I am a podiatrist working full time, also amateur home cook who experiments with food from time to time. I'm easy going and respectful of other's privacy, not a party animal, doesnt smoke, like my place clean and tidy. On my day off I usually go fishing/camping/exploring/etc, I love movies and random TED talks (I tend to binge watch a little). My new year resolution: learn how to surf like a pro.
I'm 22, from Melbourne. Commercial Pilot, though currently undergoing further studies. I'm easy going and respect the space I live in. I love to maintain a clean environment and workspace. I've lived out of home for 3 years and familiar with sharehouses. I love cooking various foods, travelling, playing and listening to music, animals (I have a Labrador, who won't be with me), catching up with mates and anything Aviation or Automotive related! I would rather a room that is furnished or semi-furnished, though it wouldn't be a major issue if it isn't. I also own a car which will require parking of some sort. -Looking for either short term or long term- Feel free to message me if you have a listing that would be suitable!
Hi :) I am a 33 year old male that has picked up a role with Telstra in the CBD commencing 1st Feb. It is a full time role within the Business & Commerce field. I completed my Commerce degree in Perth, W.A and will be focusing heavily on this role. At present it is an 18 month contract. I'm looking to settle in semi-close within a hour public transport to the CBD but I will have my vehicle in Melbourne eventually. Lifestyle wise, I am laid back, caring and trustworthy. Whilst it shouldn't be mentioned I am tidy and respectful of people's space and property. Essentially, expect a caring and open person that will cause no conflict. I am occasionally funny and somewhat intellectual too... Outside of this I will be working Mon-Fri, with gym times 3/4 times a week most likely in the afternoon and with time pending I love video games, PC and Nintendo :P Otherwise I will en-devour to explore Melbourne and venture to see the sports on offer (Huge NBA fan and sports in general) and am open to any suggestions from house mates for activities. It is all about fun.
My partner and I are both building a house together at the moment and it won't be built till May/June. We're both currently working full time in the eastern suburbs and have been commuting back to fourth to Geelong. We are low maintanance, clean and friendly people. We would only be at the house with you on Monday-Thursday and then spend the weekends in Geelong living there.
I've recently moved from Byron Bay to study and find part-time work. I'm social, responsible and clean! I enjoy spending time outdoors when I can and making new friends. Overall I'm easygoing and always up for a drink/chat while also respecting the privacy of others.
Im a 17 year old female (18 early april) going into year 12, looking for an environment to complete my studies in. Im considerate of others around me while being flexible, tidy, respectful and thoughtful. I'm a team player and am very easy to negotiate and reason with. I'm looking to leap into my final year with a positive attitude and the right surroundings that can further that positivity.
Hello! My name is Bec. I am 22 years old, from Geelong and looking to move after recently starting full time work as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist. I have lived in share houses for the last 3 years. I am very neat, clean and an easy going housemate. I enjoy making time to exercise, socialise, read, cook, go out with friends and have some chill time.
We are a relaxed and fun couple who love to travel, go out with friends, be creative, get active and always try new things! We have been living in our own property for the last 18 months and are in the process of renovating it before looking to rent it out. We are wanting to save a little more so would like to team up with another couple or person to rent with! Looking for a share home which is relaxed, homely and not a party house..although a few wines never hurt nobody!
From Brisbane, I'm half pomy and half cambodian, fun to socialize, outgoing, can cook, I generally play games a lot and binge watch TV-Shows and Movies. However I am smart and focused to help others as well as myself, financially independent and will be undertaking Law School at Swinburne University.
I'm easy going, friendly, reliable. I have a master degree in Microbiology, I have a PR visa since 2015 however I'm not going to apply for a full time job in Australia because I want to develop my own business. I will learn 1.5 years full-time at Swinburne University from March/2017. I love all animals, especially cats and dogs. I can sleep with them.
I am a product and furniture designer who just moved to Melbourne from New Zealand last week. I love cycling, photography, music, going out to events, trying new things and lots of other stuff. I'm a tidy person to live with and I bake a good cake :) I have no idea how long I'll be here but at least a month, probably a few, if not a year. Looking for anywhere about a 40 minute maximum bike ride to the city centre
No barrier with age, Has long as your mature. Age is just a number and age doesn't necessarily determine ones personality. I am sure in our life's existence we have meet people and for there age have either been pretty immature or very mature:) SHARE HOUSE MUST BE SMOKE AND DRUG FREE, MEANING NO SMOKING INSIDE AND OUTSIDE, YES THIS INCLUDES YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. PREFER TO LIVE WITH NO CATS, might consider well trained outside dogs ONLY but i am not the caretake or babysitter. I am also interested in Teamups, including respectable and considerate couples, happy to sign a lease agreement and flexible with rent. I do require car parking. Looking for likeminded people and creating new friendships. Open minded and Sense of humour, if your not either please dont message me. Not interested in a party house or drama home. Your home is a safe place and your sanctuary to chill, unwind cheese and wine and put your feet up! Don't mind sharing a chat and meal with my house mates. Vegetarians, vegans and meat-eaters are all welcome, as is the L&B community and friends. Open minded, friendly guy. I study masters at Deakin and work part time at Coles Express. Will be no delays in payments regarding rent or bills. I like to keep the house clean. I can cook as well! Love pets (I don't have one though). In general, a chilled out person who minds his own business. Hi, I am a vet nurse and her pooch looking for a place to call home. Like my dog I'm a bit of a forever puppy, that being said I work hard and that includes longish hours 4 days a week. I'm 27 and live a pretty clean lifestyle apart from the cheeky cigarette at the end of the day. I'm not apposed to hanging out/a movie marathon with a glass of wine/beer or whatever, but also more than happy to entertain myself if you are more on the private side. My dog 4yo dog absolutely adores people, he is a big boy so that may not be everybody's cup of tea but he will do his utmost to make you fall in love with him (It's not hard), don't worry though he knows he's not a lap dog! I am very open minded and accepting and looking to share a home with like minded people. I'm looking at a 4 month minimum stay, but could definitely do a long term stay depending on how suitable the situation is. I am looking for a place to call home.
Hi there, I'm a 28 year old aged care support worker and masters student looking to move into a new place. I'm a cheery, social person who likes cooking and gardening and exploring new places. I've listed a few locations but I'm pretty flexible as to where I go, really. I'm flexible with the rent per week too. I'm more interested in finding a good place with a good group of people.
Hi everyone, I am between leases and looking for a place to live near my work in Kew East, I don't have a car so I'm looking for somewhere close to PT. I'm aiming to get my own apartment in the next month or two so I'd like somewhere to stay for the time being - I'm guessing 4-8 weeks? I'm looking for a furnished room (just a bed and a few drawers will be fine!) as my stuff is in storage and I don't want to move it all twice. A bit about me, I'm 39, from Melbourne, I'm a low maintenance, considerate house mate - I work full time so like quite, early nights and not a party animal (anymore!) I just like chilling on the weekend. I love cooking (I'm a veg but have no probs at all with carnivore housemates!) Love music, I play a few instruments, like having a beer with mates on the weekend. I've sharehoused a lot over the years so understand how to live respectfully of others. I like a house where we do our own thing and have space - doing stuff together occasionally as it happens not as a must ie like cooking together when it suits rather than it being expected each night. I'm a smoker. I don't have any pets and I'd prefer a pet free house.
I'm new to Melbourne, the plan is work here for 6 months, and then I'll be heading overseas to Asia and Europe for a year or two. So I'm currently quite excitable and my future. I have been living in houseshares for the past 4 years and enjoy keeping a tidy house and a relaxed atmosphere among my housemates. I vastly prefer to clean up after myself and think of myself as a very conscientious person. I'm not a party animal, nor a recluse. I'm commited to my own thing, which currently is language study as well as being a gamer, enjoingy D&D, learning languages, going for a drive to new areas, discussing anything and everything. Biggest Bonus: I am very self-dependant. Adore Animals. And love learning new things.
I'm an artist and knitter who works hospo full time. A bit of an introvert but quite relatable. Spend most of my spare time reading or making stuff. Don't really drink alcohol but like being around others that do. I'm clean, keep to myself mainly, and not much of a party animal. I moved to melbourne recently and am looking to settle in to a flat so would prefer to find a place thats long term ish (:
Hi, I'm Georgia :) I am 19 years old and am a full-time student looking for accomodation at an affordable price. I study at Deakin (Burwood), and am currently looking for a casual job here in Melbourne (I have one back in Tassie that I work at when I am back for holidays). I dance a few nights of the week also. I am from Tasmania and moved to Melbourne at the start of 2016 for university. I am studying Exercise and Sport Science and will be in my third year in 2017. I will be heading back to Tassie soon for the Christmas/summer break, but will be back mid February and am flexible as to when I can move from my current place (in Eltham). Looking for a place in between Deakin (Burwood) and the city. Not too far from either. Loved living
