Hi there :) Looking to move as soon as possible! We are Emma and John, young(ish) Scottish couple looking for a place to live until the end of July. The only reason we won't commit to longer than that at the moment is down to the fact that sponsorship might take a while and we might have to go off and do regional work at the end of July/start of August. We are here on a WHV, but aiming for permanent residency. John is a sound technician and I am currently temping in office and looking for permanaent work, I have a human rights degree and experience in events. Ideally I'll be working in the not for profit sector. (We do have savings and John is working so please don't let my temping put you off). John usually works long days (sometimes 10 hours +) and occasionally is working away on a big on tours for a few weeks at a time! We are looking for either flat/house share, a studio, or 1 bed - we really aren't too fussy! Trying to save where we can so $350 all in would be max :) We are currently in Yarraville and are quite fond of the west! So it'd be a bonus if you were around that area. We are clean and neat, non-smokers and aren't big party animals. So whilst we are looking for somewhere fun and relaxed, we'd prefer not to live in a party house. We would also prefer something either furnished or part furnished, we do have a some savings so paying for some things won't be an issue, we'd just prefer to save where we can... (visas ain't cheap). Easy train access to the city is a must, the ability to decipher a Scottish accent is a bonus! :) Let us know if you need any more info. Thanks

Hi, I'm Jack, a 23 year-old qualified botanist (BScHons) that enjoys gardening, cooking and bush walks on weekends. I work full time as a consultant in Port Melbourne and am currently living in Kingsville. As my lease is coming to an end, I'd like to find a place close to work. Lets catch up for a chat!
Hey there, I'm Jess. I'm a friendly, down to earth woman, I'm very social although also enjoy my own company. I'm currently working full time and studying paramedics. As a housemate I'm tidy and respectful. I'm always up for a meal, a beverage (or two) or just a chat at the end of the day. During my free time I enjoy listening to music, catching up with friends, gym, gigs, reading and making things with my hands whether its cooking, sewing or art. Look forward to chatting with you soon!
Hi lovely people! What am I looking for? - Somewhere fun to stay with awesome housemates - Looking to stay for either a few months or for the long haul with the option of subletting my room when I go off for more than a month at a time (e.g. going to europe sometime this year) - Would be great to have outdoors or sports loving housemates that enjoy things like climbing, cycling, hiking, tennis or whatever else - A backyard would be amazing Why would you want me as a housemate? - I'm out of the house most of the time, working, I have things on most evenings and I'm often out for days or longer at a time on outdoorsy adventures - When I'm around, I like to be social, have a chat, share a beer or a wine, a meal, a movie or anything else happening - Got plenty of board games, and always keen on games nights - I have a car with plenty of space and a towball to help cart around big things - I enjoy working on projects around the house, and keen to do some gardening (by way of experimentation!) Frequently asked questions: - I was born here. Lived in NZ for awhile, and now back in Melbourne - I'm house trained. I'm not a neat freak, but believe things work nicer when dishes are cleaned soon after they are used (or the morning after if it's near bed time), objects are not blocking the walkways, and lawns are mowed - No dramas whatsoever about anyone's race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation - Left leaning, not that others need to be, but we'd probably get along better if we all were :) What you should know that might be an issue: - I would like a place where couchsurfers or visitors (anyone's) are welcome time to time - I like dumpster diving and won't hesitate to join anyone else willing or invite others - I'm mostly vegetarian but don't care what others eat / don't eat. Happy to be vegan in the house if others are

House-proud, clean, social, respectful, communal furniture, team ups only. discussed in more depth below. Hi All, I'm Andrew, A 29 year old Disability Support worker. I value friendly, courteous, mature people who are proactive in self development and considering others and the environment around them. I am very house proud and reflect this within my ideals of cleanliness, which is centred around the idea that we clean up after ourselves in communal areas after use and maintain our home and furnishings to a high standard to reflect how proud we are of our home. Living within the home I respect my fellow housemates by doing my best not to disturb them while sleeping or relaxing. I enjoy time together in communal areas as much as time to myself in my room, whether it be sharing dinner together, playing a boardgame or simply having a chat while we occupy the same space. I enjoy sharing the good and bad parts of our days and offering each other inside from a third person perspective. I consider housemates as family. I'm looking to start a home with people who are like minded and encapsulate the above. My hobbies within our home would be playing video games, cooking, gardening, the occasional dinner party or board games and relaxing on my bed. My leisure pursuits outside the home usually consist of Cultural events, visiting friends to play video games or watch movies/tv shows, lasertag, assisting friends with renovations, camping, going to the beach, and a range of other random activities. My work as a Disability and Aged Care Support Worker sees me working weekdays and weekends assisting people to develop and maintain a value of life they aim to achieve. This involves me cooking or cleaning for people, assisting them to access the community or teaching them skills to live their lives as independently as possible. I have all the basic furniture and appliances to furnish a house. This includes an l-shaped grey couch, a hexagon shaped table, rugs, a large one door fridge, upright freezer, large front loader washing machine, tv and more. Most of these are just over a year old. Thank you for reading my profile and feel free to send me mail if you think we reflect similar values and could create a great home together.
I'm a 25 year old engineer from Ireland, on a year long visa in Melbourne. I've just started a 6+ month job in Yarraville, and am looking for a room in the area. I'll be working 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday. I'll be spending most of my evenings and weekends in the local area, and occasionally going to out to the CBD. I'm easy-going and sociable, but not a big party-person. I'll be in bed before midnight each weeknight. I'll enjoy making friends with my housemates, sharing meals, and going for a beer with them on some weekends. I'm looking to move into a room ASAP, to be closer to my work.
Hey all, Im great to live with because I pay my way, and I know how to clean up after myself. Im quiet but enjoy company too. Dont know too many ppl only been her 18 months. Im from NZ and single and have a stable job. currently I am travelling every day from Ballarat to work in Laverton and the petrol is getting a bit much so need to move closer. Dont need any dramas and having me around is good for safety around the place. I smoke outside only and like a drink after a hard week. If you think we could be flat mates give me a call and we can arrange a time to check out the place. Cheers, Dan
I’m an easy going, down to earth osteopath and part time student. I love to counterbalance work by seeing my friends and getting outside - anywhere! I’m seeking a sociable share house where we can all hang out together and feel comfortable in our home. Whether this be exploring new cafes, sharing a bottle of vino or indulge in a Netflix binge session I’m down. I am also independent and value having time by myself to read, paint and contemplate life in the shower. I am an adaptable open person who is happy to work together on how we can make our place into a fun restorative little oasis.
Hey, my name is Ajay (FYI; 29, single, born & raised in Melbourne & Indian background ) and I am working full time hours in hospitality. Looking for a place in cbd or outer city (any side-N.E.W.S.) as I work in the city. I am very sociable but also know people need their privacy. I enjoy to the gym, cooking and enjoying outdoors activities. With work and hobbies, I won’t be home often unless I have a day off (rarely) but would make time to spend with my housos (dinner, drinks, grocery shopping, cleaning etc). I like a clean and tidy place (not a clean freak though). If you have any further questions, just ask. Also, have no problem going on the lease (would prefer it) but flexible considering circumstance. Thanks, Ajay.
Hi! my name is Kim Cynthia, I'm a 19 yo French student currently enrolled at Melbourne Uni. I study environmental science so yay to reducing energy bills! I may be young but I'm very independent. On weekends I like to either swim/go to the beach or grab some snacks and watch a movie at home, maybe both. I'm laid-back but organized, easy-going and friendly but respectful of everyone's privacy and very open-minded. I like to think that makes me pretty easy to live with :)
I'm polite, extrovert and funy... I'm looking for a place to stay in my period of English Studend, I'd like to stay in a homestay to learn more about the culture and talk. 4 months, I hope to work in the morning and Study later.
I moved from Daylesford to a temporary apartment, and I'm looking for a place to stay long-term. I'm a hardworking student and I'm friendly and respectful. I like making art and music, exercise, going to the pub, reading and studying.
Hi, I'm a quiet, respectful seasoned house-sharer. Well traveled, with an arts background (VCA) currently doing a PhD. I like to socialize mostly outside of the house and keep home a chill place. I enjoy meeting friends at the pub, checking out op shops and art galleries. Looking to share with someone who has their own things going on, but is open to a chat when we cross paths. The occasional shared dinner would be nice also if schedules permit.
I have a friendly and outgoing personality and love hanging out with people to make new friends. I'm from England originally but moved to Australia in 2003. I lived in Cairns, QLD until 2016 when I moved out of home and moved to Footscray, Melbourne. I currently live in Kings Park now but am looking to move to Sunshine or surrounding suburbs. I'd like to move by April the 26th but can move earlier too. I am a violin teacher/performer/busker and I currently travel to the student's home to teach. I'm starting work with the Music Education Academy in term 2 of this year. I love busking on my violin in Footscray and I also enjoy playing keyboard. So I definitely love music!
I'm 24 years old studying business at Victoria University at Footscray Park. I was born and raised in Canada and have been in Melbourne for almost 3 years now. I Love to listen to music and go for a drive. Enjoy cooking but also like to try different restaurants.
Hey, I am super friendly, chill and down to earth and enjoy meeting new people. I am currently studying and working part-time as well. I have lived in share houses before and I love the concept of it. I really respect and value one's privacy and take that very seriously. I love helping out with the house chores and cooking too. Please do hit me up if you any questions!
My names Grace and i am a fully Qualified hairdresser that works part time at a bakery/ cafe and my Partner Brodie owns his own window cleaning business. we are a quiet laid back couple that are friendly, respectful and tidy. always up for a chat but also respect your personal space.
We are young couple in their early 30s from Pakistan and looking for temporary accommodation while our stay in Melbourne. We love to explore the city and make new friends. Living in a multicultural environment is something we are looking for.
I am 28 years old, I work full time in a industry of food in Deer Park ,I am a responsible person with the rent ,clean and tidy. i dont like smoke. i love cook . I need move because my work is far away from the city and i need a quiet place. I am really interested in the room .my stay is for 6 months or more. i have my own car .
I'm relaxed, caring and friendly. I love to make a house a home, which for me means somewhere to unwind and recharge in. I like to keep things clean (especially kitchen/food areas!) and will always clean up after myself, but I'm tolerant of others' muddles and believe in keeping a good vibe where I live. I like to have conversations with my housemates, and occasionally share a drink or a meal, but I also understand people's need for their own space and time (and I do like my alone time myself!). I work as a geologist, but I have just returned from 12 months in Europe travelling and teaching English! When I'm not at work you may find me at circus classes, hula hooping, Spanish lessons or salsa classes :)
Hi I'm Paula 3rd year nursing student with culinary background I like to keep my room clean and when I'm not working I usually just stay at home to relax/study. I go to a lot of music festivals too :) I'm an international student and my parents are paying for my uni, I have no problem paying rent and bills when its due :) Overall, I'm a pretty chill person/housemate.
Hi, I'm Nicole! A bit about me: I'm 29 and work full time in banking. I've also returned to study part time this year, completing a degree through USQ which is all online so I'll be pretty busy! I absolutely love to travel, I love food (both eating and cooking), the outdoors, animals and winding down at the end of the week with a glass of wine. I have a four year old cat, Pippa, who is an indoor cat, very friendly and loves a cuddle or to chase a piece of string around the house. I'm always clean and tidy and am looking for a flatmate who is the same - but in saying that I'm not a super clean freak. Ideally I'm interested in teaming up with 1 other person of a similar age, someone who is happy to socialise and maybe share a meal now and again but also keen on their own space. I don't want a party house but do want to be flexible with having friends over for dinner occasionally. I'd prefer to find a new rental property with someone rather than join an existing house, somewhere in the vicinity of $250 each per week. I've lived alone for the last year and so have pretty much everything for a house except for a washing machine and dryer, as my apartment supplied those. I'm hoping to find a 2 - 3 bedroom place with 2 bathrooms and either a balcony or outdoor space. At this stage I'm looking to move in early April, and hoping for somewhere around St Kilda, Elwood, Brighton, Elsternwick or surrounding suburbs. Also open to areas around West Footscray, Seddon or Yarraville. Let me know if you are interested in meeting! Nicole
Hi, my name is Saskia and I'm looking to move down to Melbourne from the country during my gap year. I work in libraries part time, and am doing a film course at VCA. I'm looking for somewhere in the Western suburbs since it's where I grew up and I know them, and it's on the train line to visit my friends in the country. I'm very easy going, pretty social (but I'm somewhat introverted and need some down time), friendly, cheerful, clean and a great cook, but not a party animal. I love films, film making, off-beat tv shows, music (playing and listening), reading, exploring and cooking (and eating). Would love to share a house with people who are also pretty ambiverted socially, and who share my "let it be" attitude to life.
Hey! I'm a very easy going and chilled out guy from a small town in North Eat Victoria wanting to move down to Melbourne. I currently work as a cleaner will be on the hunt as soon as I move. I spend a lot of time on my own but of course enjoy company. Although I lack in cooking skills I make up for them by enjoying cleaning and don't find it a task at all. I enjoy the casual drink and having a good time with friends while keeping respectful. I will be bringing my large/anxious/incredibly sweet American bulldog with me too, as she is the absolute love of my life! She is a 'sleep in my bed' type of dog but is 100% house trained and will hang out and give you kisses while I'm not home. So a yard is necessary. So honestly the only requirement I have for a housemate is for them to be kind and love her. EDIT: Two friends (one is moving at a later date) and a cat have joined in on this hunt! Can move from mid March onwards. Would love another person to join :)
Hi! My name is Dan. I have recently arrived in Melbourne from Brisbane. I have moved to Melbourne for a work opportunity. I will also be studying at the University of Melbourne for the next year :(. I am almost 24 years old, tidy and easy to get along with. In my free time I love to watch movies/ sport and have a coffee with friends. I am a very active person. I enjoy exercising and pretty much all sports. I have been living in shared accommodation in Brisbane for 3-4 years now.....so I know the drill. I am always respectful and polite to my housemates. I am more than happy to help out if you need a hand and will take very good care of my room and the house. I am looking for a place that is located near(ish) to Parkville/ Melbourne CBD at a reasonable price. Please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks Dan.
Hi! I'm Cyndal, I'm a 28 year old health professional working full time in Geelong. I've lived in Geelong for a year and am looking to make a move to Melbourne to expand my social horizons. I'm planning on commuting to Geelong daily. Housemate-wise I'm responsible, clean, tidy, and keen to create a homey and relaxed environment. I'm introverted, but social, love to get to know new people, and try not to take life too seriously. I enjoy some time to myself, but generally enjoy having a chat over a drink in the evening and sharing the occasional meal. I'm omnivorous but make and enjoy vegetarian and vegan foods too. I love cooking (and eating!), walking, being outdoors, and ideally combining all of my favourite things at once (hiking picnic anyone?)! Also partial to movie nights and Netflix binges. I'm active in the Melbourne roller derby community and train with the Westside Derby Dollz in Footscray. I come with an 8 year old short haired desexed/microchipped ginger tabby cat (Manny), who is very friendly and loves being around people. He is playful but well behaved and does not bite or scratch ever. He prefers the company of people to other animals, but he has lived well with other dogs and cats in the past. I am a very responsible pet owner and am very considerate of the needs of others I live with, hence I vacuum regularly and empty Manny's litter tray when it is used. Manny is both an indoor/outdoor cat, although I prefer that he is kept in an enclosed area (shed/garage/laundry) at night. I'm looking for a place to share with one to two other people. I have minimal furniture (bedroom only) and would be open to teaming up to purchase whitegoods etc. if needed. I would prefer LGBTIQA+ friendly housemates who are looking to create a homey environment and potentially be open to sharing a meal or a drink in the evening once in a while. Or, you know, that hiking picnic. Hope to hear from you soon!
Hi I’m Nick 31 years old. Work full time in construction. Have a 7 year old pugalier. Enjoy having a beer. Spend a few weekends away camping and fishing etc. Cheers. Nick.
