Hi, I'm Dan. I'm a 27 year old sports biomechanist moving over to Canberra from Perth to work at the AIS at the start of February. I've spent the last 10 years at uni, so I'm looking forward to the new challenge. Given I'm moving across the country, I'm looking for a furnished room (preferably not a single bed). The location of any potential house doesn't really bother me, as long as it's in Canberra. I'd be after a housemate or housemates that are easy to get along with and share a space with. Unsurprisingly (given my profession) I am a bit of sport nut. I also love music, food, and the odd drink. I’m easy going and happy to socialise but am also fine with keeping my own company. I’m clean and tidy and definitely don’t mind helping out with housework when it’s needed.
Hello there! I’m moving to Canberra to study at UC next year and am looking for a room in a share house around $150p/w. I’m planning on driving across from Perth late Jan but am happy to start paying rent earlier so I have a place to go when I arrive haha. I’m a very clean, tidy and organised guy, early to bed and early to rise. I’m pretty active and live a very healthy lifestyle. Love a good healthy, weekly meal prep and don’t often drink (unless everyone else ). I spend quite a bit of time with outdoorsy pursuits hiking, running, camping etc. I have been living in share houses for a few years now with many other housemates so I know how it all works. I’ll also be bringing my doggy with me. She’s a small/medium mixed breed mutt who is super affectionate and friendly. She has a big personality will work her way into your heart (guaranteed). She loves nothing more than to curl up next to you on the couch at the end of a long day, or a short day – pretty much anytime really. She’s house trained and very obedient. I would love to find a house where she can stay inside during that day because I don’t reckon her short hair and slim frame will lend itself to the frigid winters. I’ll be studying full time, working part time and walking the dog part time but when I’m not doing those things I’ll be exploring Canberra or hanging out in the communal areas of the house. I’m pretty social, always up for chat and a yarn - I won’t be spending much time hiding in my room though I do respect peoples need for personal/quiet time. I would love to find a house with peeps I can be friends with and can do housemate activities with. I enjoy living with social people more than anything! Won't be bringing much with me so a furnished room would be ideal but I'm not fussy. Thanks!!
I am currently studying full time at university (b. Sports and Exercise Science / b. Sports Management) and working 3-5 days a week as a waitress and in events, plus completing an internship. I will often be out at uni or work, but would like to socialise with my housemates occasionally when I am home! In my spare time I enjoy watching all sport (I get a few spare tickets to all Raiders home games that would be available for my housemates most of the time if they're interested), going to the gym, reading a good book and going for coffee with friends. I also love to travel when I can get time off! I am a considerate, clean and tidy person, and am good at sharing responsibilities. Having my own bathroom would be a huge plus, but it's not a deal breaker if that's not possible.
Hey, my name is Jamie and I'll be studying in Canberra. I'm easygoing and more than happy to help around the house. I enjoy cooking, photography, and going for runs. I like going out but prefer Netflix and a heavy doona most nights. So far this is sounding very cliche so I may as well double-down and cover all my bases by stating that I'm looking for a fun but relaxed; open but cosy; quiet but adventurous place to live. To be honest, I'm quiet and respectful and I'm looking for a place that matches.
Current full time student who is in their final year of University. Will be studying Industrial Design at the University of Canberra in 2019. Super easy going individual who is very clean, easy going, relaxed and respectful. I’ve lived out of home for 4 years now so I’m all to familiar with living with others and being respectful of their belongings and space, cleaning, cooking etc. Would ideally like to move in with people around my age and with who I would consider friends rather than just house mates. Do enjoy a sneaky casual drink and a night out occasionally. Would be pretty keen on exploring Canberra in my time there and potentially go snowboarding in the surrounding resorts. Honestly just want to make fun memories with cool people in 2019. I will be moving from Newcastle to Canberra and am currently looking to find a place with myself and a mate who also studies the same course in his final year. Ideally somewhere relatively close to the University if possible. My friend (Jarrod) will be away most of the week so it would be nice to have other house mates to hang out with. Flexible on the amount of extra people in the house. Happy to move in with someone who already has a house or pair up with someone and look for a house all together!
I've almost finished up at uni (ANU) and I'm working full time as a town planner. I'm interested in a room in a house or apartment that is within a reasonable cycle of the city (I don't have a car, so I don't need parking!) I am a pretty social person so i'm always keen for a chat and to hang out, but if its a quiet house that is fine too. I don't mind maintaining a yard and I obviously will be happy to do my share of chores. I like to cook so I am definitely interested in being involved in meal sharing arrangements, but again I am not bothered if things don't work that way. My hobbies include cycling, hiking, politics, board games, watching the AFL and a bit of handy crafts.
House-trained final year medical student (this means: busy most days (at least) 9-5, studying most nights, keen to have company over meals when that works out). Financially secure (I have a scholarship and work part time). I've lived all over Australia, enjoy meeting people, cooking, conversation, the odd glass of wine. Looking for quiet household where I can study and relax. I like outdoorsy things (hiking, cycling, water sports) when time permits. Happy to live with those who value privacy and prefer to do their own thing but equally flexible and enjoy social interaction with housemates during downtime.
I’m originally from Sydney but am moving to Canberra for work. I am clean and tidy and very respectful as a housemate. I am also very relaxed and easygoing. 🙂 Single, 27, female, professional, non smoker.
We are tidy, considerate and also enjoy our food. We have both previously shared houses before so we know what it is like to live with others. We are moving interstate from Tasmania to study at the University of Canberra and work, we are needing a place to stay to get us on our feet and look for our own place. We have one car between us, a place near the uni would be preferred but we are flexible :-)
I am a friendly and quiet person. I am considerate of other people. I would keep the flat/house tidy and always pay my rent and bills on time. I also would only smoke outside. I can put a deposit on the bond early and pay the bond completely on 11th of Feb.
I like to read and am passionate about the enviroment and conservation so naturally love the outdoors. I work for the ACT government in belconnen so ideally looking for something close by open to anywhere in Canberra Im clean and love being part of a team. I appreciate my alone time but also love socializing. Dont mind a cheeky beer and am often away on weekends camping.
From the Gold Coast originally, I’m looking for a room to rent from Mar-Jun 2019 so I may complete my final semester of undergraduate studies at the ANU. Friends describe me as easygoing, quiet and respectful. Please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thanks!
I’m heading back to study part time and looking for a place to rent that won’t send me broke! Most days I'm usually up early to hit the gym and work keeps me busy during the day. My party days a loooong behind me but I enjoy catching up with friends for the occasional Friday night drinks, BBQ or girls night (which are never big nights). I also enjoy a chilled out night on the couch (binge) watching Netflix too. The kitchen is one of my happy places - I like getting creative with my cooking and baking. I like to do lake walks and brunch on the weekends. I thought I would give the share house thing a go - might give me a chance to do some solid saving over the year (for more holidays!) and get to meet some friendly new people along the way. Bec
Hello, My name's Dave and I've just moved to Canberra as a graduate health professional. I'm friendly, easy to get along with and have travelled a lot around the world, so have plenty of stories! I've also lived in a lot of share houses over the years, so am clean, considerate and respectful. Cheers, Dave
I'm an easy-going, friendly chick who loves good food and good company. I love music, nature, and socialising, and am looking for a place I can call home for a while. I've just moved back to Canberra and am working full time in Acton, so would like to find a place that is convenient and close to work.
Hi Canberrian's! I am hunting for a place to live from late January/early February. I have just been accepted into a Bachelor of Secondary Education/Bachelor of Mathematics to become a secondary math teacher. I am moving from within Canberra so I can meet up for a cuppa to get to know each other before taking the big leap. More about me and my situation: - Looking for somewhere around $200 or less p/w, could pay up to $250 if it includes bills - Close to UC campus would be desirable. - I'm into Netflixing, casual drinks, and most sports. Love music (not all), and I am heavily involved in the agricultural industry. - Looking for a household that is social, but also respects privacy. I do enjoy going out from time to time but I'm not looking for a full-time party house. - Fully house trained, actually going back to share-housing after living alone, mainly for cost reasons, but also people are kinda fun. - Bonus points if you consider allowing my cat to move in with me. She is desexed, and extremely well behaved (house trained too!) and loves new people. I can sign a lease when needed, and supply references from previous rentals. currently have two jobs so rent will not be an issue. If you have any questions, or are interested in living with me shoot me a message or text.
I am moving from Melbourne to do my honours in Visual Arts. I am a private person who loves a good chat now and again. I believe in cleaning up after oneself, and rather sooner than later. I have the philosophy of each to their own.
I'm a Yoga teacher, dancer, photographer, nature-lover. I'm very tidy, thoughtful and responsible. I am independent with a full life, but I also enjoy the buzz and colour of communal living with good-hearted and gentle people. I like to live in places with beautiful light and near to nature.
Having just finished a masters, I'm moving to Canberra to work in an APS grad program. I’ve lived in share houses for the last four years, and I like housemates who like to have a good chat, watch a tv show or play a board game from time to time. Mostly though I’m just looking to move in with people who are clean and easy to deal with.
Hey! I'm from Melbourne, moving to Canberra to start working full-time as a graduate within the public sector. I enjoy playing and watching sport. I can keep to myself, but happy to spend time with roommates. I clean up after myself and am happy to help out with chores. Message me for further information.
Will be a student at CIT in 2019, studying vet nursing. Currently live on the mid north coast of NSW so I'm unable to meet roommates or view rooms until moving day. I have my own car and am happy to drive people if they need in my free time. This is my first time living out of home. I'm quiet and keep to myself most of the time unless Netflix is on. Feel free to stalk my social medias or message me about anything you'd like to know.
