I’m a young guy working as a PE teacher. I am sporty, active, into my health and enjoy talking with others and playing. I am a clean person, I like all communal areas to be tidy but I am not over the top with it. I respect others in the house. Looking to rent close to Blackman’s Bay and happy with any suburbs surrounding or within 10-15km of the area.
We're Dan, Erika and a very friendly kelpie named Cole. We're an Aussie/American couple just moving from Victoria. Erika will be working full time and Dan will go to school (working part-time), so we're fairly busy people. When we're not at work or school we love being outside and taking Cole on walking/hiking/biking adventures. He's well trained, doesn't bark much and is good with people and other dogs. We're looking for a place with other workers/students or a family who enjoy a relatively peaceful and quiet home and may enjoy spending time together occasionally, but all have our own routines. A backyard would be great for Cole to have some outside space. We clean up after him well. Looking around up to 30k from Hobart.
Quite quiet, but quite quietly annoyed by quite a lot of people on this site not knowing the difference between quiet and quite!!! I tried to stay quiet on this, but quite frankly it's quite hard to sit quietly and watch these crimes against basic use of the English language! (& it's quite often native English speakers who do it!!!). Hi, I would either like to join an established share house with my friend (so we need 2 rooms - 2 women in our 40s) or apply for 2 bedroom places with 1 other person (I think with same friend), so if u have a 2 bed place anywhere from Margate to New Town/Moonah let me know!. (NB: I have lovely old male cat). I am open-minded, green-minded, in my 40s, love music, like questioning the status quo, and care about people and the world we live in :-). I am quite quiet, but I am not into a fully soulless non-interactive household.
Friendly, clean, tidy, respectful, sensitive to the needs of others. Have not shared before, have had my children on my own for 22+ years. All left home now. I have been living in Queensland for 13 years and want to return to Tas. Most of my family are in the Huon area, I would visit them. I’m fit and healthy; run, hike and cycle most days - mainly run in the winter (not fast). Any other info required please message phone. Thank you, Leah
Hi there. Im Dan, 37, Im a free thinker, enjoy nature, books, discussions, food etc. Im studying at Utas and seeking a career change as well. Im respectful, can be social; can curl up into study or a book also. I ideally would love to get a dog so would love a place that accepts pets.
My girlfriend of 3 years and I are looking for shared accommodation and to create a humble abode. We relish in meeting new like-minded people. We are not party animals, but we do enjoy hanging out with friends for social drinks and game nights. We are both avid cooks, who love getting involved in the kitchen with a willingness to share and learn new recipes. We also know how important it is to keep a clean and tidy household in order to prevent conflict and promote well-being, which is something we have practiced in all of the houses we have lived in thus far. I have just finished a bachelor's degree in environmental science on the north coast of NSW, and will be starting a master's in planning at UTAS. I thoroughly enjoy being outdoors and hiking, kayaking and fishing. I also love taking it easy by watching films, reading books and chatting about philosophical ideas and sharing the human experience. I think you will find that I easily mold into my surroundings and practice open and clear communication. Cello is currently studying a Bachelor of art and design degree, and will be transferring over to UTAS to finish it off. Cello is a open and creative minded person who is always willing to having a conversation and participate in housemate activities. She takes great pride in cooking for others and sharing her recipes passed down by her Spanish ancestors. We are willing to both occupy a room together, but are also open to having a room each if that is more appropriate. Our current plan is to find a place around late July/early August.
Hey! I'm Grace, I'm 24 years old, working part-time in hospitality and studying languages (German and Indonesian) part-time at UTAS. I'm easy-going, clean and considerate, and really enjoy my own space. When I have a day off I love to do anything in nature. Exploring, running, hiking, surfing to name a few! I also enjoy relaxing over a nice whisky or wine some evenings. I'm currently living in a large share house in Hobart and wanting to downgrade to a house with no more than 2 other housemates. Preferably looking for somewhere out of the CBD but no further than a 30 min drive from Hobart if possible.
I’ve just returned to Hobart and am working from early morning till late afternoon restoring an old classic yacht. I lead a quiet respectful lifestyle without dramas. I’m courteous of other people and their space. Always clean up after myself. Send me a message and let’s meet to see if we are a match. Cheers Gerry.
I am responsible, respectful, very approachable and social. I am looking to be apart of or create a HOME environment, not just a place to live.
Hi! My name is Amy and I'm 23 and my best friend and probably best part about me is my 3 1/2 year old rescue dog Popeye! He is obsessed with people and very friendly and fingers crossed is finally starting to mature a bit so he's getting quite mellow and happy to sleep the day away. As for me, I am a 2018 Utas grad (arts) student, just ya good old bachelors and I currently work at the Australian Taxation Office. Before that I was at the Dept. Veterans Affairs and before that I was a Dept. Human Services employee, so I've been in government for over 3 years now and before that I was a bartender in various Hobart waterfront spots which was a little more exciting. Although I sound a bit boring I can actually be quite fun I promise! I love a good drink and a chat, but I am not much into parties so that won't be an issue from me but am more than happy if you are! I also like camping, hiking, the beach, a good tv series, eating and going on spontaneous day trips with my friends and dog. I'm very clean, can cook (if you trust me enough I'd be happy to share meals) and am an overall happy person who loves a good giggle. Am happy to get to know each other well or keep to myself and will do my very best to make your life living with me as easy as possible! :)
I work for Woolworths as a Produce Manager. Hobbies include gym, PlayStation, Netflix and outdoor activities in the warm weather. Recently moved home from Melbourne to the parents house, just pondering about a bit more space to myself.
A pretty adventurous and chill personality on the lookout for likeminded housemates! I spend a lot of my time working which I love, but that also means I really appreciate alone time. That said however! I'll almost always be up for a beer or (occasionally) indulging in guilty pleasures like Bachelor in Paradise or Game of Thrones. I love anything to do with the ocean / bushwalking / dogspotting, and am currently saving up for hopefully a grand trip around Australia. In the meantime the perfect household for me would be near Hobart (as that's where I work) have a bathroom to housemate ratio of 1:2 and a bedroom big enough for a double bed. Also open to forming a new household so please feel free to message with any queries!
Hi! I'm a 26 year old studying Ancient History at UTAS. I'm looking for a new long-term rental as my current landlord has decided to sell at end of my lease. I am pretty laid-back, respectful, quiet, tidy, friendly but introverted (I tend to read or watch Netflix) I would love a place where people are around in the evenings to catch up. I love books and movies/tv shows (particularly horror and fantasy/sci-fi!) history, pizza and having the odd drink of a good cider. I don't drive, so good access to public transport is a priority
Hi, my name is AVI Male,27 Non-smoker No pets 1 car I work for coles Sorell. I am looking for a shared or individual accommodation and I study in Hobart CBD as well. Hey, I am new in Tassie and look for a room. I was a Medical scientist in VIC but I am back to study at the moment. I am very easy going, clean, quiet, tidy and respectful. I also like to chat and share meals with my housemates..oh..oh..I have a good sense of humour, too :)
hey potential roomies ,I’m Glenn originally from Sydney and moved down to study at Utas .Sociable, outgoing, tolerant and respect privacy. I’m an Easy going person, very clean and tidy and very respectful of others. I’m very friendly and easy to talk too. I have a part time job and sometimes like to keep to myself.
Hi all, just getting a sense of what is around at the moment as my current housemate is leaving in July. At the moment I have a two bedroom unit in Lenah Valley someone could potentially move into or am looking for a place elsewhere. I am pretty easy going. I am studying a Masters in psychology which keeps me fairly busy. I love all animals. Anything else you’d like to know feel free to ask :)
Hi, my name is Joseph and I'm currently looking for a place to live over the next twelve months in the Hobart, Taroona, Sandy Bay or Kingston area. I'm a second year uni student studying Psychological Science with the long term aim of becoming a Registered Psychologist. I currently work as a Youth Worker for Centre Care Tasmania (working with disadvantaged youth, etc). I'm also a massive muso (so there will probably be a few guitars lying around my future bedroom). Other than that, I love to read, draw, hike, run and do volunteer work. I'm looking for a place not too far from uni but also happy to live in the Kingston area as I have a car. Obviously would like my own bedroom, but happy to share a bathroom. Off street parking would be strongly preferred also. Furnishing and internet required. Hoping to find somewhere soon!
(Flexible about rent amount and length of stay) G'day! 😁 I'm from Queensland, been in Tas for a couple months. I work in hospitality. Love the outdoors and enjoy a lot of hobbies! Jack is moving down here in a couple weeks from Queensland. Loves his cars! Loves a drink or few, Netflix and PlayStation. We are both easy going people! respectful, and could fit in with any types. We both have a fun and quiet side, depending on what's welcomed :D cheers
I’m a nurse, working casually at the moment looking for a new home with friendly respectful people in a quiet location. Moving from living in my own flat to somewhere with a little more space and perhaps greenery or coast. I love art and would treasure a spare room or area for creating but it’s not essential. I have a pretty friendly low maintenance ginger cat called Ethel. She’s good value. I have not share housed for ages but I have been lucky to have been part of excellent ones in the past.
I am a Ph.D. student in UTAS.. I have experience of living in shared homes and dormitory and I am a tidy, clean and reliable person. I will pay rent on time and respectful to others and you can consider me as a well-educated person.
I live in Melbourne but because I'm studying part time in Hobart I will be in Hobart every two weeks for classes. I have an 11yo boy who will be with me every fortnight in Melbourne. I'm an artist, art therapist and art teacher, studying law (for activism). I don’t smoke or drink. I eat organic as much as possible. Health and laughter is important. Love gardening and the beach. At this stage I need something for short visits (I have three visits remaining for this semester) but next semester onwards perhaps something more permanent would be good.
Hello! My name is Nenagh (same as Nina). I am a 24 year old Tasmanian student at UTAS studying in my 4th year of a Bachelor of Arts with sociology and a Bachelor of Science with zoology and plant science. I also work 2 jobs. I love cooking, gardening, bush walking, drawing, reading and a good ol' pint at the pub. I am a really easy going laid back type of person and have had experience living in share houses before so I understand the responsibilities that come with it. I do have a pet budgie called Alfie. He is very sweet, easily contained and very low maintenance/mess as a pet. He has his own cage that I would normally just keep in my room. I'm looking for a share house with housemates that I could easily get along with and call my friends. So I would love to come and meet you!
Hi there! I've been living in my current place in Sandy Bay for about three years but unfortunately my landlord is selling the place so I have to move out. I'm originally from New Zealand but Hobart's been my home for a long time now. I like to fix up old bicycles, and I volunteer at the Hobart Bike Kitchen when I'm not working in the city. I love music, and have done since I began listening to my brother's vinyl collection in the 70s and I'm still onto something new every month When I'm at home I like to fix bicycles when thair are to many like six I give a few away 😬 I read a lot go mountain biking and I'm pretty handy about the house good at spoting problems befor thay become expensive problems landlords like me I tend to eat out, so I don't use the kitchen much I always like to live in a clean home I'm Clean by nature easy to live with and I like to help out if it's called for. I'm polite never grumpy I really don't get the point of grumpynes it's such a wast of time 😳 I respect my housemates' personal space and their privacy, but I like a chat as well. I pay all my bills on time and pay my rent like clockwork. All in all, I'm pretty low maintenance. I'm looking for something with easy access to the city on a bike or bus, around $200 and $220, depending on the place. Looking forward to meeting you! Regards Alan.
