Hello future housemate! I'm Gel, 29, and currently studying at Box Hill (Lilydale campus) and used to live in a homestay at Surrey Hills but i'm currently on vacation. My friend, Maw, just came this January to study at Deakin (Burwood campus) and we agreed to join together in a shared house/flat when I get back this coming Feb. 20 to keep each other company. We are studying in different directions that's why we'd like to choose somewhere convenient for us to get to our school/work locations. We prefer an accommodation nearby Box Hill Central Station, maybe 5-7mins. walk max. We are both Filipinos. We are friendly, fun, enjoy outdoors and very sociable. We are very considerate and love to keep things neat and organized. We also highly respect each other's privacy. We've been friends since high school, with degrees from different universities, worked for a couple of years with non profit organisations and decided to study again abroad. We are looking for a shared house ideal for students and prefer to stay in separate rooms (fully furnished). If not available, we can share a big room for two with separate beds and enough space for study (study table and chairs). However, we are on a tight budget- 700/per month/per person (inc. bills and internet). We soooo love dogs and cats!! and we do have pets back home!!!! So if you have 1 or more, they'll be a delight to us. If we like your place, we might even choose to stay and live longer. Pls. send me a message if your listing fits our description and pls. include price per week including the bills (gas, water, internet, electricity). :-) Gel
HI! I'm Laura and I'm moving to Melbourne for work in late January. I am social and love having fun but I also require some quite to do work at home in the evening and weekends. I love dance, especially ballet and latin (salsa, bachata etc) and I enjoy cooking, going for walks and being active. I am friendly, respectful and clean and expect the same from my housemates. I am allergic to cats sorry! I'll be working in Box Hill so I'm looking either nearby or along the lilydale/belgrave train line as I don't have a car.
I'm an Anthropology student at Deakin and I'll be graduating in May next year, then headed overaeas for summer school so I'm only looking for short term accommodation. I also work part-time at a supermarket (That means free out-of-date food, yay!). I like to be social and have a drink or two, but I'm also happy to have alone time. I study a lot and I work a lot, but I also like to go out occasionally (by no means a party animal, though). I'm respectful and tidy and I can get along with anyone. Not keen to live with kids or dogs (sorry!) and I'd like to live close to a train station on the Belgrave/Lilydale line OR the 70/75 tram. If there's anything more you'd like to know just send me a message!
Hey, My names Chloe and I work full time in Banking for a big 4 bank. I work in Camberwell and am currently looking to move a little further out but still be close enough to work. I have been house sharing for 12 years so am very familiar with the process. Incredibly respectful of others and tidy, also a great cook. I have everything required to start a share house just looking for the right people to do it with. Don't have furniture? Don't worry I have it all!! I do have a dog - english staffy called Willa she is 6 years old, house trained and just a beautiful nature little girl all round. she will supply ample cuddles. Ideally looking for one person to team up with however will not dismiss the idea of 3 people. I have all the furniture required to start a new house, just looking for the right person Hit me up if you might be interested. About me - I enjoy cooking, going to the gym, spending time with my family and friends. I am originally from country nsw - I've been living out of home since I was 17 - again very familiar with the share house etiquette. I'm incredibly down to earth, happy and enjoy life.
APPEALING TO ANY GOOD SAMARITANS WHO CAN HELP!! I'm friendly and clean. I'm generally a private person but occasionally like the company of others to socialise and have a cuppa or a meal. I also am a huge dog lover!! I have a small/medium female dog whose 12mths old and super friendly towards humans and other dogs! She is well taken care of and I clean up after her. So I do require some type of yard space. Doesn't have to be huge but bigger the better! We currently live in an apartment so it's not suitable. I have to move ASAP due to a bad break up! I don't have my daughter living with me. She's 16 and would like a 2 bedroom place so she can join me. It's quite sad due to break up she had to stay with my parents! So if I can't find a 2 or more bedroom place that's affordable and right location then I'll need something temporary 3-6 months while I look and not rush! I'm praying for any Good Samaritans out there who'll have what I need/want! So basically it's just me and the dog if only a bedroom in a house or if 1 bed/studio/bungalow place. The rent needs to be cheap as I'm a pensioner but also have child so got more income. I'm just looking for a clean quiet peaceful place to call and make a home! I'm needing to rest and recover from an abusive partner and already feeling so much better and getting on with life! Some of u may be put off but I hope u don't judge too quickly as I'm a honest dkind caring and big hearted person!
I'm a Franco-American (fluent in both languages) coming from Paris, France to work as a French teaching assistant for a year in Australia. It'll be my first time in this country so I'm looking forward to discovering it ! I'm neat and organized, I don't smoke. I'm from a big family so I'm used to sharing and respecting others' space. I'm friendly, I love cooking, going outdoors and games. I'm only coming with one suitcase so no worries about overcrowding the house !
Due to unfortunate circumstances I am Looking for a place to move into desperately around the inner eastern suburbs. My max is around $250 p/week preferably including utilities. Whether it’s furnished or not doesn’t bother me. I am a happy, bubbly and outgoing 19 year old pharmacy assistant who is very neat and tidy and never misses a rent payment or bill. I have been living in Melbourne for roughly a year now and my job tends to take up a lot of my time which means haven’t really met any friends, so not only am I looking for a place to live, but someone I can be friends with and hang out over a couple drinks. I love a good chat but enjoy my down time and will respect yours too. I love to hit the town but will also settle for a night of binge watching tv shows. In my down time I like to play video games and do a bit of painting (I’m very cautious of mess so don’t worry about that). I’m looking to move into a house with people who are like minded and are easy to get along with. I love animals so that’s not an issue for me either. I also love to cook so I don’t mind cooking for everyone too. I’m ready to move straight away so if anyone has anything available feel free to hit me up, cheers. 🙂
I'm quiet, intellectual (if that's your thing- we don't have to talk), and financially stable so I can get rent in on time. I am willing to do more than my share of the chores because I could use the experience.
I am currently studying wildlife and conservation biology at Deakin, and I also have casual work. I am looking to share a house with two or three other people in a clean, neat house with a relaxed environment. I have a pet snake, I keep her enclosure in my room and she is quite small so nothing to be scared of! If it makes you uncomfortable I will make sure not to bring her out while you are around.
Hi! I'm a pretty laid back person who is looking for a place that I feel comfortable in and get along well with the other residents. Some days I like to go out and socialise, other times need to sleep and binge watch tv. I'm planning to head back to study at the start of 2018, but am looking for a place to live close to Swinburne University before then :) I like horror movies, coffee and chinese food.
Hi im Mitch, I'm currently Studying IT & Media at deakin, and working part time in advertising at some companies in surrey hills and hawthorn, and I work from home a bit. I'm naturally a tidy person, and love living in a neat space. I'm looking to make some new friends who I can live with. Other than work and study, I'm a huge movie fan, into a bit of photography, art and design, love a quiet night inside, but enjoy the outdoors, occasional play some video games, I'm in a relationship, and i've done a bit of travelling.
Hey there! I’m Marini, a Deakin University student working casually. Looking for a friendly place to share with friendly housemates. I respect other people’s privacy but also love to have a chat and a glass of wine now and again. I am tidy, clean and reliable with rent. I’ve been in sharehouse situations before and understand how that works. I’m usually a quiet person but I love to hang out with my friends when I get a chance. I love nature, trying different places to eat, the movies and the beach. If you want to know anything else, feel free to shoot me a message.
Hey! I’m Tahlia. A 22 year old about to start her journey as a nurse at Box Hill Hospital. I’m looking for somewhere to live, or a team up, with likeminded people that aren’t only going to be my housemates but my friends too. I am respectful of common spaces and other people’s space and belongings. I consider myself to be a tidy person, but as like most people can be a bit slack at times. On my days off I like to chill out, catch up with friends, go on a day trip or watch one of the plethora of tv shows I’m addicted to. I’m open minded and love learning new things. So feel free to introduce me to a new experience or hobbie! Send me a message if you’d like to know anymore, have a room to offer or are interested in a team-up!
Professionally employed, single female, non-drinker and non-smoker, nor illicit substances. Very very clean, neat and tidy and take pride in where I live. Easy to talk to and take care of my possessions and others and clean up after myself. Ideally looking for a place on my own but open to sharing with one other who is single and respectful of each others privacy and works normal hours.
Hi, I’m Desiree, I’m doing my PhD in education working with Indigenous people and working part time. I love traveling, learning about diverse topics, nature, hiking, clean places, good vibes and lovely people.
Hi, we are a friendly and easy to get along with couple, looking for a quiet cosy place to stay. We both professionals, working full-time, one as an accountant while studying the CA and one in management while studying the MBA.
I grew up in a big family, lots of chaos so I've learnt to appreciate privacy, quiet time and tidiness. I'm in my second year at University studying business. I've lived out of home for a year now , I like watching movies, reading and cooking. I'm looking for a long term stay, close to a station.
38 Years old male, professional manager, works in Project Management firm in the Docklands. Also a MBA student. Clean, tidy, organised and responsible. Quiet and want to have my private time, although I always like to have good chat and solve the world's problem over a drink :-) Regards
We're returning from living in Switzerland in February 2018 - looking for a place that could become available around then. Dylan is a social worker originally from Adelaide and Ezgi is studying a Masters in Construction Management at Melbourne Uni. We're both pretty easy going - enjoy our own space, but also enjoy a casual drink. Dylan loves cooking and we love good food. We enjoy travelling, weekends away camping and both volunteer as Scout leaders in our spare time. By the way, the dog in the picture isn't ours!
Hi I’m Shivani! I’m looking for a place to move into from approximately 21st of Jan 2018. The place will need to be pet friendly as I have an 8yo mini dachshund (6.0kg). His name is Jono and he’s the most awesome dog you’ll ever meet. But best of all he’s 100% house trained. I will be commencing full time employment at Monash Medical Centre in Feb 2018. So ideally I am looking for a place that’s a maximum 30minutes from there. I will be doing shift work, but rest assured you will not be required to look after my dog. I'm a quiet person and I'm looking for a quiet and clean (ish) place to live long term.
