Hi all! My name's Terry. I'm originally from Adelaide and I've been in Brisbane now for about 2 years. I work full-time as a soil technician for an engineering firm. I have an indoor cat named Stella who can be a bit shy, depending if she likes you or not. If you like cats, I think you'll like her anyway but unfortunately she doesn't seem to get along with other cats :( A couple of other things about me - sport climbing is a big part of my life when I'm not working. I often won't get home until past 8 pm during the week because I'll go climbing straight from work. If I do find myself at home, you might find me unwinding in my room with a bit of gaming or poking my head out for a chat if anyone is around the house. Otherwise, I enjoy getting out and about with friends, doing house activities, or getting out for a Sunday lunch and a swim at South Bank. Mostly, I'm looking for a place I can call home with people that actually want make an effort and contribute to making the house a nice place to live, and not just "exist" in a house together.. I'm looking for people that know how to have a laugh, but can also be upfront, direct, and sincere. So.. Full disclosure here for a minute - I'm terrible at remembering to take the bins out, so I apologise in advance for that! xD Along the same vein, I'm generally pretty good at cleaning up after myself but if I come home late I might leave some dishes in the sink sometimes. I do also appreciate housemates who can pay the rent and bills on time! If I sound like someone you could live with, feel free to drop me a line - I'm happy to fill an empty room or do team-ups with the right people :) Hope to hear from you soon! Terry
I'm an MBA student and am looking to move to Brisbane by February. I have been staying on campus accommodation for the last 2 years and am very used to living in a shared accommodation. I'm very clean, friendly and easy to get along with. I'm looking for a clean, modern house with friendly housemates in a safe location.
Hi, I work full-time as a graphic designer and I'm looking for a quiet and calm place to come home to. I've lived in a few share houses before. I don't mind having a chat after work but sometimes I can be quite exhausted and like to keep to myself. Can also be respectful and considerate towards other peoples space and I like to keep shared areas such as the kitchen and bathroom clean. Don't want to live in a large house and just looking to share with two other housemates. Don't think I could live with any smokers, sorry.
Hello! My name is Alex. I'm a professional animator working full-time for a studio based in South Brisbane. I am a friendly, considerate and tidy individual who enjoys cooking and loves animals. I am also super flexible (personality-wise, not physically currently... need to get back into yoga haha).. As far as hobbies go, I actually get to do what I love for a living. Making animation! So I'm very artistic and you'll often see me in my own world drawing away on my tablet with my headphones on. I have a small female 9 year old Golden Retriever named Yuki. She is very affectionate, docile, friendly and fully house trained. She is also my studio's office dog, and comes in to work with me 5 days a week. She keeps me busy, and I'm always running her around to dog parks and the beach. I also appreciate honesty, so if there's something I am doing that goes against the share house protocol, please let me know. I'm not precious and I'm always keen to find solutions, not dwell on problems. I would love to live in a share house with like minded professionals around my age. If you feel I could be a nice fit for your household and current living atmosphere, I would like to hear from you! ...also happy to organise a doggie inspection for Yuki as well.
I am moving to Brisbane mid February to study my masters in speech pathology at Griffith university. I have been a special needs teacher in Darwin for the past five years and need a bit of a change. I’m generally pretty friendly and not too loud. I love running, gymming, board games, day trips, exploring and travel. I’m looking for a good environment to study in and making some new friends would be an added benefit :)
I am working part time while saving money to move overseas. Uni graduate. I am a socialable, clean and friendly person who loves a chat. I don't spend a lot of time at home due to work and friends. Bit of a nerd.
I'm starting my Bachelors at Griffith University from February 2019, hence looking for a place to stay. I'd mostly be staying outside at library/uni premises to study or be in my room. Even though I'm not really the 'partying type', I do enjoy occasional Netflix or hang-out. I'm neat and I don't smoke or drink or have any pets.
Hi All, I'm young full time Cafe manager looking to team up with people in the Mount Gravatt East/Upper Mount Gravatt area (and surrounding suburbs). I do have most large appliances for a house, so would prefer to start fresh in a new place! I'm currently teaming up with another 23yr old dude who's interested in similar areas and budget. We're currently looking for a 3rd roommate to rent a place with 3/4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a max rent of $500 p/w. Also keen to find a place with a gym and pool facilities if we can but not necessary! I'm super clean and super organised and generally out at work, seeing people or doing some art at home. Love a clean and tidy environment, and I'm very respectful of people's quiet time and space! Looking for good communication and consideration of other people using a space. Get in contact if you're interested in finding a nice roomie space for the next year!
Hey I'm Jesse! Been living in student accommodation here in Upper Mt Gravatt for the last few years now.. I originally moved down here when I was 18 from an old country town called Maryborough.. If you know of Maryborough you'll understand why I left hahaha🤪 I studied Audio Engineering & Sound Production for 2 years when I first moved down here and i'm currently working 2 jobs at Garden City. I'd consider myself a pretty chill dude, easy to get along with I treat people with respect, im clean and tidy, I like a good chat, love a laugh. I'm currently saving to go travelling so I dont find myself doing too much that involves too much mullah at the moment😌 I try to stay active and healthy dont mind going to the gym, enjoy some rockclimbing, just started muay thai, sometimes i pretend ima masterchef👨🍳dont mind a good book before bed🤓 at times you'll find me kickin' back with a few beers watching the Footy on a Friday night, also love me a good doco and a bitta PS4! Ideally i'm looking for a nice relaxed modern 3-4 bedroom place where everybody has their own space, an ensuite with a decent sized room would be nice as I have a queen size bed n some furniture already. Also totally open to teaming up to get a place with any others that may be interested, hit me up! Anyway thats enough rambling on about myself! I look forward to talking to some people. Peace✌❤😄
*I will only be in Brisbane from 24 January onwards* I am a 31 year old male looking for a private room in an apartment or house with 1 or 2 other flatmates around my age category, for under $200 a week, ideally with all bills included. I am looking for anywhere from Brisbane CBD to the south eastern suburbs, not super fussed about the location as such but would really like it to be walking distance to a bus stop that has a direct bus to Griffith University. I will be starting my Masters in Secondary Teaching there so I will be a full time student and probably spend most of my time on campus. I do require a furnished room, at least with a bed and cupboards, because I will be coming from Perth and I do not have very much with me. I have allocated a six month request but of course, if we get along well, I'll gladly extend it, as I will be a student and would rather not have to focus on moving around :p Also, I do have a car so I would like some sort of parking please. These are some of the things I bring to the table : - I come from Perth, so you won't have to deal with any visa issues that may cause me to suddenly leave - I come from a family of sisters, so I play well with all genders - I enjoy rum and sake - I enjoy watching and playing tennis and soccer and I hope to continue keeping myself active in Brisbane by doing this regularly - I cook for myself quite a bit so I would like a place with easy kitchen access. I'm not much of a recipe person but I like exploring flavours when I cook, usually for my meals for a few days. It's okay if you don't cook, I'm happy to make a dish for you too. I don't bake though, well, not yet anyway. - I love music but I don't really do enough of it. I will have my keyboard with me which will be kept in the room I am renting. I understand that after a long work day you want to come home to some quiet so I'll restrict playing it to when you are away but I do hope to get back into it. - I am not a fan of gardening so if there is any patch of lawn that requires some looking after, I'm probably not going to want it - I keep to myself a lot but please don't mistake it for being anti-social - I have visited Brisbane multiple times but as a whole, it is still a new city to me, so someone who is relatively familiar with the city would be great, to help me to learn and love this city that I will potentially call home - I wear nail polish sometimes, so that must not be an issue Feel free to question me on anything else that you need clarification on!
I am a student at QUT currently looking for a 2 or 3 bedroom house to move into . I am easy going. I am looking to live closer to the city because of work and uni 😊. I am looking for someone to share a 3 bedroom place with end of June into July. Willing to get a 6 month to a years lease.
Hey, I'm Erin and I'm planning on moving out for uni a couple months after I turn 18. I'm going to be studying psychological science at Griffith. I'm moving out of home so I'm looking for somewhere cheap with roommates that are up for a laugh. I work at woolies, so I come with a 5-10% discount on food and alcohol. I'd like a flatmate that I can get along well and still be able to respect each others privacy. I'm looking for any location within a 15 minute drive to Griffith uni.
Hi, I'm Georgia. I'm 23 and I study full time at Griffith. I work part time at a Bookshop in tee city. I'm looking for a place to live where I can be social, but also have space to study. I'm in the last 18 months of my degree, so I'll be studying pretty hard and heading out on placement a few times. I tend to be a bit of a stress head, as there's a lot on my plate right now, so I would like to live with people who can be accommodating of that, and can be understanding of that anxiety. I like to go camping and hiking, I like to swim, love the beach, and I just got into yoga. I also don't mind curling up to watch a movie or read a book, and I don't mind having a drink or two on the weekend.
Just moved back to Brisbane from Hervey Bay and looking to share a place with somebody. I have some furniture (i.e a fridge and a washing machine), so would prefer to team up rather than move into a furnished place. I am a high school teacher going into my second year in the profession. Pretty social person who would enjoy good company with good people.
Hi, I'm Jesse. I'm a 26 year old male originally from the North-West of Tasmania, but have been living in Queensland for a couple years now. I am looking to do further study early next year and seeking accommodation in Brisbane while I do so. I'm a quiet but approachable and friendly person that you should find easy to live with. I enjoy reading, gaming, listening to podcasts and watching documentaries. Up for a polite chat or deep conversation. I'm also vegan, so living with other vegans or vegetarians would be pretty cool as well. I am open to a range of accommodation/house-sharing options. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in having me as a flatmate :)
Hello, I am looking for a cool new pad closer to work, open to team ups and room shares. For fun, I am super passionate about the outdoors, I love rock climbing, hiking, cycling and going to the beach. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, attending hip hop lessons and making delicious snacks. I am generally out and about, during the week I work full time as an interior designer (I absolutely love my job, it is very important to me) and so I do enjoy a nice chilled, relaxed home atmosphere where I can get a good nights rest during the week. I am a very tidy and thoughtful person. I think home is a very important place where you go to to relax and unwind and I am looking for someone who enjoys the same vibe. I also love to have a laugh, a cheeky wine, chat about life, philosophy, books and ponder human complexities! I am after a place with storage (garage would be ideal), so I can safely store my climbing gear, bike and bits and bobs. If I sound like someone you would like to live with, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you future roomie! ****away Xmas eve until Jan 3rd, I will be back online and messaging on my return, have a wonderful Xmas and NYs everyone***** Thank you :D Sara
Very clean, respectful, busy young professional. Easy to live with. I would love a room which is somewhat separate from other bedrooms - e.g A downstairs bedroom whilst most other rooms are upstairs. Thanks!!
Full time kindy teacher. I'm a tidy Kiwi who has been living in Brisbane for a year. I enjoy making new friends, and my own space to wind down after a hard days work. I like coffee, music, writing and singing too. I'm pretty easy to get along with and open to new and exciting experiences.
