Hi there! We are a friendly and polite professional couple looking for a room close to public transport for 4-6 months. We work long hours so if you're looking for a couple that aren't home a great deal, then we are the flat mates for you! We are extremely polite and friendly, but do not party. We are low maintenance and don't have much stuff, and we don't take up much space in the fridge! We also have a rabbit named Henry and we will need somewhere to put his cage- just on a balcony or outside is fine. He is very well behaved- you won't even know he is there. He loves cuddles and you are welcome to snuggle him anytime at all! We just signed up to Flatmates.com.au and are ready to move in TODAY! Looking for a room that is under $250 per week, including bills. We can't wait to hear from you! Many thanks, Madeline and Carey :)
I am currently in Melbourne on a working holiday Visa from England, looking for a full time job! I make a great cuppa, and love eating nice food and drinking good wine! I love Melbourne and am looking to move in somewhere as soon as posssible!
Looking for a room around Melbourne. My partner works full time, about 20 minutes West of Melbourne. I study full time in Caulfield and hold permanent part time position. We live a healthy and active lifestyle but definitely love a relaxed day off. We completed schooling in 2015 in Brisbane and have been working in Victoria for the past year. Looking to move anytime between Feb 13th and the end of Feb. Will negotiate if necessary. Contact me if you believe we may be suitable housemates :)
Hi!! I'm a 24-year-old international student from Spain. I have moved on my own to Melbourne to study English and work part time until June. I'm friendly, clean and tidy. I'm a bit sportive and interested in arts and culture. I don't smoke and I like having small talks at home but I'm quiet and considered with my mates so we all need our own time and space. I am quiet, friendly, considered, sociable and interested in different cultures. I also like sharing part of my spear time with other people, family or friends while doing activities or haveing a drink. I have my own single bed, a small table and a mirror, everything can be sold or packed under another bed very easily. In what food is concerned I am very flexible, I like almost everything but it is true that sometimes can be better to organise it separately.
Hi! My name is Laura (26) an outgoing, sarcastic and easy to get excited Dutchie looking to start a new life in Melbourne far away from windmills and wooden shoes. I consider myself as clean and tidy and i'm pretending to be a great chef even though I have no idea what i'm doing in the kitchen. I love red wine, wondering around town, books, sketching, family guy, movies, music (soft spot for soul), live bands in bars, running, david attenborough, snowboarding, motorbikes and conversations that pass the limits of time. I'm currently having multiple job interviews planned so I hope on getting a fulltime job soon but until than I'm already able to move into an appartment. Am I the roomie you're looking for? Than don't hesitate to contact me for a meetup! Cheers! Laura Ps. I'm carrying around a bottle of rum from Thailand that is meant for sharing on the first day i move in to a new place.. (Just so you know;))
I am in search of a private room and private bathroom for an upcoming performance gig. A bit about me: My name is Ashley and I am a professional musical theatre actress, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. I moved to Brisbane from Manhattan in January 2016 to be with my partner. I consider myself a hard worker, clean housemate, and easy going. This makes me an easy person to get along with for pretty much anyone. I enjoy being social with my housemates, but I definitely enjoy my solo time too, finding time to rock out on my ukulele, or review scripts for work.
Hi! Im pretty outgoing, sociable chap. I'm super chil at home, had shared houses and flats for the past 6 years so I know how to share spaces. I love exploring the night life in a new city but like to have a nice space to come home too. I'm a personal trainer so I'm pretty active, If im not training or eating I'll be trying to surf or get to some snow. Look forward to meeting you! Ali
I am a post grad student moving from Sydney to study Veterinary Medicine. I am very kind, relaxed and love a chat... a rare good listener! I am sociable and always up to listen about your day over an arvy tea/wine/beer (and make a mean cheese plate). I can find a way to get along with anyone really. I'll be studying an intense course full time so am interested in a home where I can have a bit of down time. I am ideally looking to for not only a roommate but a friend. I'm a Sydney Swans supporter... so don't hold that against me! I'm patient & pretty flexible in terms of fitting in with however it is your house already runs. Used to keeping communal areas tidy and being considerate of others (i.e- I won't leave my dishes for a week ;) I'm an early bird, horse rider, avid reader, art enthusiast and enjoy brunch and good coffee. If you have pets, you'll have a free petsitter too!
Easygoing and able to get along with everyone, wanting a warm and friendly share house. INFJ that would love to hang out with housemates but also values alone time. Love to cook and happy to share it with my housemates too!
Looking for someone to sign a new lease with my sister and I. Preferably a young female or coupe in early to mid 20's with rental history. We are reliable and clean people who enjoy our own space but like to sit down over dinner or drinks and catch up. Both of us love live music and hanging out without being big party animals but we still enjoy going out every now and then. The preferred suburbs we are looking at are North Melbourne, Moonee Ponds, Brunswick and surround suburbs. We look forward to you learning who is who (We are twins)
Hello. I'm a single male looking for a place to rent for a year+. I work full time and enjoy my down time, sport and getting out on weekends with friends and family. I have a pup who is 12 weeks old at the moment and is slowly being house trained. I'm very easy going, very clean to live with and can cook a few decent meals. I'm respectful of people space and belongings, honest and very trustworthy.
I'm originally from Perth but have been living in Melbourne for the past few years. I'm a respectful, easy going and super clean housemate and am currently studying for the Gamsat/science subjects at uni. I generally keep to myself when I'm home but love to socialise over boardgames (really into 7 Wonders) and food. In my free time I workout, watch a lot of movies (current favourite Arrival) and go to the occasional gig with friends. I also play guitar from time to time to destress and relax. Looking forward to meeting you :)
We are two friends who met in student accommodation looking to move out to our own place. We are responsible and respectful individuals who know how to balance fun and work. We enjoy cooking and watching movies as well as going for drinks but also are in third year, therefore need quiet time for studies.
I'm originally from Adelaide, have lived in Melbourne for two years now. I work in high end retail and study full time so I'm pretty busy. My goal is to move to Asia to do business. I'm a good cook and enjoy documentaries.
Hey guys, my name's Dylan and I'm moving from Newcastle in order to commence study at Melbourne Law School at the start of February. I'm looking for a place to call home in an established sharehouse/flatshare with 1-4 other people, or looking to team up with other like-minded individuals to start a new one. Preferably looking for a place within walking/cycling distance or close to public transport, and would like to be able to move in by the start of February, as my course starts on the 2nd, however am flexible if I cannot move in until later. I am a relatively quiet person, however moving to a new city I am looking forward to embracing new opportunities, meeting new people, and exploring a new environment. I enjoy playing and watching sport, having played tennis for 10 years, as well as working as a coach last year. I am not a massive partier, but do enjoy a few drinks with friends on occasion. Thanks for reading. If you feel like we would be a good match, feel free to hit me up.
Hi I'm looking for a long-term private room to stay from 16th Feb, (still som e time to go :) but I'm happy to already share some of the rent before moving in if needed) About me: -24yo, Master's student at Unimelb & part-time worker -clean, laid back, house trained, organized, quiet unless when having a party, terrible entertainer but always laugh at terrible jokes -into good movies, series, music, fitness, like to try all kinds of booze and go explore bars from time to time -Live a busy life but would love a good drink or chat or occasionally shared dinner -mad dog lover -have a German girlfriend whom I Skype with regularly about the house: -Not fussy about living conditions really, but consider myself pretty neat. Like natural light, a big window & a super clean toilet. Good-enough-for-Skype wifi is a must -hoping to live with chill & friendly people who would love to have a relaxing drink and chill together or hang out sometimes Looking forward to hear from you if it sounds like I could fit the house vibe. As I am currently traveling abroad I won't be able to come visit but a Skype chat could definitely be arranged.
hellooo!! I'm URGENTLY looking for a private furnished room (at least the bed, c'mon xD xD), possibly not more than 15/20 mins (tram distance) from the inner city. I'm looking to spend maximum 700$ per month. And yes, i can afford to pay rent always on due date. Don't worry! quickly about me life! I work in formal menswear in Collins st. and also (at the moment) live in the CBD but I'm starting to notice that I ain't saving much like this and also the place i'm living in ain't that nice and I gotta be a parent to my housemates who tend to do nothing at all in terms of keeping the place neat. So here is my urge to move out ASAP as i would like to avoid having to pay another full month here and prefer to give you the money and start being good housebros asap!! I don't really know what to say about myself but one thing i can tell you: I'm defenitely a clean and respectful guy and treat the house as if it was my own and my housemates as my best buddies. I don't like to party too much in the house and honestly I never do. :):) When I'm home most of the times you'll find me chillin, cooking, watching some Netflix (yes i can share it) or just reading something about how to become rich overnight!! hauahaha I'm not a party animal, unfortunately those times have gone and now i just go out with a couple of friends few times during the week for a chat and a drink. I used to be a smoker but I'm not anymore so if anyone smokes it won't bother me, but I don't smoke anymore. (100% honesty?? ok i sometimes allow myself one or two on friday/saturday night if i'm drinking something,but... anyway). if you wanna chat a bit with me please don't hesitate, i'm friendly! Dario
Hi Well, I am a quite, clean, honest, tidy, considerate and respectful person. I like to deal with simple, easy going people, who are friendly and tolerant. I'm from Egypt, was working previously as a doctor, GP, I wanted to continue my studies to develop my skills as well as enjoying a life in a new lovely environment. I like to go for movies, theatre, restaurant, do some exercise, sometimes, I like to just relax at home especially after long long day
I'm a neat, reliable and great to live with. I work full time at ABC radio in Melbourne, love my work but also enjoying socialising and having fun. I'm mature, considerate and will respect your space.
My names Chris, I'm 31 years old and in my humble opinion, the perfect housemate! ha. I like to like to keep my living spaces clean without being an over the top germophobe and I like to get out the house and give my housemates space without becoming a stranger or bedroom recluse. I'm a social person and love a good conversation and getting to know people and i really like the idea of communal cooking, hanging out in the evenings a couple times a week and even the odd glass of wine. I have two subjects to go before completing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne, where I'm studying part time as a mature aged student, while at the same time doing my best to hold down a full time job up in Brunswick East in the cable and connectivity industry. For the last 5 years I've been living in sharehouses with 3, 4 and sometimes 5 people and increasingly as i get older i've started craving somewhere a little quieter, where the recycling bins not overflowing with beer bottles all the time and the floors aren't soo sticky. I'm looking to live with someone who's matured minded, got their life together, enjoys recycling and has an open mind to the world and all its diversity and complexity. Someone who can find joy in the mundane, appreciates a good sense of humour and doesnt mind the odd pun or silly joke. I really enjoy music and would love to live with people whom also love their music. I like all sorts
my name is Dalia I am a humanitarian aid worker I was in Australia already to do a permaculture course, which is sustainable farming and an eco-friendly way if living from August to October 2016 .This time I am coming back to do a Masters of Social Work at the RMIT. My mother is German, dad Egyptian and I speak three languages. Personally, I would say about me that am a very sociable person, I like to interact with people, but also like to spend time alone and respect the privacy of flatmates very much.I like to cook and keeping a place clean is very important to me.I like nice, long walks. I like to party from time to time but not every night...too old for that :)..i like nice interesting talks and meeting new people...could always stay up late for a good midnight talk...but other than that don't stay up too late.

Hi Guys, I'm looking for a place close to the city and public transport. Max $200 per week... Ideally less. I have just graduated university and I am currently looking for a full-time job whilst also completing further study part-time. I am financially stable and always pay bills and rent on time. I have plenty of experience in share houses and I enjoy being social but also my own time. I am very laid-back and easy to talk to. I go to the gym most days and love the healthy lifestyle but I will happily eat domino’s pizza or get Uber-eats. I like going out on weekends or Thursday nights for a drink and dance. Please send me a message if you want to know more :)

I'm basically the best house mate ever 💁🏻 I am moving to Melbourne in the next few weeks and am looking for a room (ideally furnished - fine if not) in a house/apartment for 6 months until my friends arrive. I am a positive, honest and reliable person. I will be working a lot and I'm generally out and about all of the time. A garage would be ideal as I'm shipping my car over toooooo. Shoot me an email 🍑
Easy going and social but respectful of other people's space and privacy. I've been living in share homes since 20, hence I know to pay bills on time and always like to keep clean and tidy. I have my own furniture and belongings and am looking for an unfurnished room. Current lease in Carlton North is coming to an end sadly after more than a year! I'm looking to find a new home around the inner north. Feel free to ask if you want to know anymore.
Hi there! I'm an adventurous American guy from California, who works in a cafe full time and is planning on being in the city until August, maybe longer. I'm looking to live in a laid back place with a social roomie or two. I'm a travel writer and photographer and enjoy going for hikes/photo adventures on days off and a pint or two! Why not. I love a good chat, but enjoy my personal space as well. Hoping to find a place by the end of Jan/ beginning of Feb! Cheers :)
Hey guys I'm Blair, I'm a 26 year old female, originally from NZ but have been living in Queensland and London the last 3 or so years. I work full time on Collins Street so am fairly quiet during the week but enjoy socializing on the weekends; pubs, gigs, food markets etc (and the occasional netflix binge). I'm looking for a private furnished room (must be furnished), ideally long term from mid-late February. I've been flatting since I was 18 so I'm well house-trained; clean, tidy and aware of the need for personal space. If you have a room suitable I'd love to hear from you. And if you're still not sold, I work for an energy company so get sweet discounts on gas and electricity!
Hi Everyone, I am currently working full time in the CBD area and looking to team up with one or two people to find an existing share house around the CBD area. About me: I am a pretty easygoing, relaxed and friendly type of person who is neat and tidy and always happy to help complete jobs around the place, be supportive of my flatmates, be respectful of everyone, enjoys a good chat and happy to cook and share a meal with my housemates and don't mind staying in and having some quiet drinks with friends. I like pets, going to gym when I can and don't mind watching a bit of Netflix from time to time. Look forward to hearing from you, please send me a message if your interested!
Hi there, I am mature, clean, considerate and polite. I am currently completing a masters degree in social work and psychological studies and I work freelance. I keep to myself for the most part, and I am also very health conscious and try to be positive about life. Happy to share a drink and chat too though. Looking for a girl or guy to share with 30-43. I am just looking for a safe, quiet and peaceful place to live and study while I finish a degree. I am a very respectful, gentle and considerate person. I have a complete apartments worth of some really great furniture; including a white stereo, Smart tv, lovely couch, and appliances. The best situation would be someone who is looking for a flatmate who is without these items. However, I am open to sharing 2-3 max if an ensuite is available - and can place my items at storage at the right price - probably $180-$220 a week to share. Otherwise $250-$270 in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house for rent is good ;) with the furniture. I have always payed my bills on time, and consider myself to be a reliable person, looking for the same. Looking for new lease 1 year+ or 9 months approx or more.
I am a friendly and fun New Zealander looking for a nice place to stay with some nice people. I easily make friends and love going out with them to explore or do fun stuff. In hospo so can cook, clean and am reasonably good at solving problems.
Friendly, respectful and tidy I work full time 5:30am-7:30pm 5-7 days p/w so your personal space and privacy will not be an issue.
I’m Richelle, I’m 25 years old and I study and work part time. I study at the in North Melbourne as well as working as a disability support worker and development coordinator. I guess the things you need to know about me are I have a little dog, called Hugo. He’s a boston terrier and is extremely well behaved. I am happy to talk to you guys about a pet bond if that’s something you’re open to.
Turning 18 in May and wanting to move to Melbourne from Perth to study a Bachelor of Arts at the university of Melbourne. Looking for a central place to rent near the Uni. Will also be working part time over there. I'm easy going, tidy and respectful :-)
I am from Pakistan. I recently graduated from high school and will now be studying at the University of Melbourne. My hobbies include working out, watching movies, listening to music and last but not least, obsessing over cars. I also like to play sports such as football, volleyball and cricket, as well as track/field. I can be flexible when it comes to sharing a place with someone. I don't drink or smoke, but I don't mind if others around me do either. I am not a vegetarian (for those whom it may concern), and I don't despise vegetarians either haha. I'm also cool with pets. I think the only thing I can be guilty of is taking too long to brush my teeth in the morning, so if we're sharing a bathroom we'll have to work around that. Also, I am a firm believer in personal space. I wouldn't want to intrude anyone's set boundaries of personal space and would prefer likewise in return.
My name's Liam, I'm 20 years old and I am moving on the 17th to study Law at Victoria Uni. I'm clean, quiet, and easy to get along with. I have a casual job lined up already. Ideally I am looking for somewhere close to the Craigieburn line so I can get to work easily. I enjoy music, rowing, and good conversation. Send me a message!
- Moved to Melbourne from Dubai 4 months back - Doing my masters degree from RMIT - City - Working part time as a business systems coordinator - Enjoyable to be around, but also respect people's privacy - Always up for a friendly chat and share a meal Rent budget: In CBD: 220 if shared bathroom 250 if ensuite/own bathroom Around CBD: 200 if shared bathroom 230 if ensuite/own bathroom Happy to stay long term.. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
I'm a science student at UniMelb, but I'm originally from interstate. Looking for places close to uni (ie Parkville, Carlton, Nth Melbourne), with flexible stay lengths. I'm easy-going and always on the lookout for new friends! I do have a fairly packed activities/work schedule, which means I'll often be doing my own thing. However, I'm always down for chill evenings with housemates over dinner/beer/wine! Hobbies include rusty violin playing (while being mindful of others of course), computer games, sports (especially tennis), plus I'm always keen to hang out with (flat)mates. Since I'm relatively new to Melbourne, I'm also keen to explore the city during free times. Shoot me a message if you'll like to have me around as a flatmate!
Hi there, my name is Melanie and I am a 21 year old Danish girl currently living in Melbourne. I work full-time in a coffee shop in the CBD, so I'll be gone during the day time, but I do have weekends off. I'm interested in hanging out and spending time with my flatmates, but at the same time I would respect if you would rather keep to yourself. I love picnics, hikes, going to the beach, and in general being outside. I also love discussing everything or nothing over a glass of wine. Cheers!
Hi there, I'm an international Student studying at the University of Melbourne. Overall I'm pretty relaxed and a bit reserved, but I'm open to anything that comes my way. Standard interests include typical ones such as gaming, music, movies, and dank memes.
I'm a traveller from The Netherlands working in Melbourne for the next couple of months. I'm open-minded, sociable and love music: I play guitar, piano, write my own stuff and know heaps about music. Also useful is that I can cook 🍳 (more than just an egg). I'm 18 years old, and you might think that that's quite young, but I'? wise beyond my years ;) and get along well with the 20/30 range.
Hi! Full time student from Argentina, doing a master of engineering at unimelb. You won't have to worry about keeping the place clean and tidy. I suck at playing musical instruments, so I wont make loud noises either. I'm happy to answer any other questions you may have.
Canadian moving to Melbourne for a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Looking for a space to call home. Flatmates who are either graduate students or young professionals ideally. My program is demanding so weeknights will be quiet with visits to the gym, but weekends I'll need stress relief via exploring the city and alcohol. I lived in a shared house during undergrad and know for a comfortable living environment everyone needs to lend a hand. I like clean spaces, but am not an OCD clean freak! I'm tidy, conscientious, and easy going. Hoping to find a living space thats a home; not just a house :-)
Hey guys. I've recently moved to Melbourne from Adelaide and am looking for a nice place to live in. I'm very considerate, used to living with others and always clean after myself.
I am a friendly, easy-going guy who's looking for like-minded housemates. I moved from Tasmania to Melbourne about a year ago to continue my career in web development so I'm into computers and programming but also like to play music, art, crafts, Photography and exploring Victoria with friends. I'm bilingual (Japanese) and love learning about other cultures and countries. I'm quite clean and respectful of space. I like a few drinks at the end of a week but am not a party-er.
Hello hello :-) I'm a friendly, tidy 29yo looking for a place to stay short-term in Melbourne. I've just come back from 7 months backpacking through South America, now I'm going back to the corporate life for a bit to save up for my next trip. I've got a 6-8 week contract at the Dept Health in Melbourne, which could turn into a longer-term thing or could not, so I'm looking for somewhere that will accept me for just two months to start. I cook and I clean (you should try my lemon chicken and baked feta), I love to talk and I'd much prefer a glass of wine over a game of scrabble than a party every weekend. I love to talk travel, current events, and food, and I love cycling. I'll be working a pretty standard 9-5 and I'm happy to hang out or do my own thing as the house goes. I'm deathly allergic to prawns so if they're on your menu every day that's not going to work for me, but other than that I'm open to any food preferences you've got, and any life styles. Gay and trans friendly, happy to live with kids if you've got them. Ideally I'd love a furnished place. I've got nearly all the things but would prefer not to have to transport them down from my Mum and Dad's in NSW. Happy to contribute any car-sized bits of furniture needed (TV, Wii, kitchenware, things...). I also need parking, though I'm fine with legal on-street parking. My job starts on Jan 30 (just confirmed!) so I'm hoping to move next week, or early the week after - I'll be staying with my sister in Brunswick East until then, but TBH I'm not so keen on sleeping on the floor for longer than I have to! Let me know if you'd like to chat - excited to meet you and start the next part of my adventure! Martina :-)
Social and very tidy couple looking for a room. We are moving over from NZ and will both be working full time in Melbourne - In accounting and digital consulting. We are looking forward to exploring the city and going on adventures in the weekend are keen to meet new people :)
Hey my name's joe, I work full time in Parkville, enjoy gigging and hanging out with mates. I'm looking for a share house, a social house would suit me pretty well but doesn't have to be raging every night. If you're interested hit me up.
Hi, I'm Rick, I'm 29 years old. I'm studying a Masters of Urban Planning at Melbourne Uni and currently working full-time for an insurance company (though may shift to part time when semester starts back). Looking for somewhere within a reasonable distance of uni. I have plenty of savings and an excellent credit history and rental history so paying rent/bills will not be an issue. During the week I'm normally pretty busy with various commitments, including trying to get to the gym a few times a week, on some committees and catching up with friends for brunch, dinner, drinks, movies or some live music, riding my bike around, etc. I'm a political junkie (ALP) and an avid music fan (anything that's played on Triple J basically). Because I'm generally pretty busy (especially during semester), I'm generally keen to relax at home and watch some Netflix or read. That said, I'd prefer a social household where I can have a chat, share a meal etc. Well-travelled and hoping to get to Japan soon. Also a frequenter of music festivals (Falls, Boogie, Meredith, Laneway). I've lived in an ace house in Kensington for 5.5 years with friends but unfortunately they've on so and it's time for move on too (*tear*). I'm a conscientious and respectful housemate, and very conscious of keeping common areas clean and tidy. I usually end up doing more than my fair share of cleaning. I love dogs, but sadly don't have one. My fiddle leaf fig is pretty high maintenance though.
Hello, My name is Nic, 27 years old and I work in Education! I'm a bit of a clean freak so If the like the house to be kept tidy most of the time then i'll be a great addition to the house. I don't like to be late! so paying bills and rent on time won't be a problem. I've just moved from Gold Coast to start my new job which is located out in Walla and I will need to stay overnight at my work during the week and weekend sometimes, so I won't be around the house as much as I would like too. I enjoy being social and getting out being adventurous when I have the time off. I like going to a footy match in the weekend or go out for a scenic drive for a bit of a road trip. I get a lot of holidays and I usually get away to Europe as I love to travel, so if you do get sick of me then you will have the chance to get a break from me for a coupe of weeks every second month. I'm not the biggest drinker, but I enjoy a beer at a sports event or hanging out around the house on a sunny day! I have a dog called "Bobby" he's 1yrs old and he's a black Moodle! He is 4.5kgs and the size or a watermelon. Bobby is very loyal and enjoys company! If you love little dogs but don't want to have the responsibility of looking after it by feeding and paying vet bills, then Bobby will be a great addition to the house! Bobby is toilet trained and doesn't shred. I respect everyones own space and own possessions, but if you go into the fridge and drink 100mls of my Ice Coffee, I won't hold a grudge against you as I'm a pretty easy going guy and don't like conflict.. I'm very busy and enjoy life and would like great positive people to make my time in Melbourne a good one!
Just two Canadian girls who are looking to spend a few months working in Melbourne! ( Looking to rent 2 bedrooms) We are easy going, above average cooks ;), love the outdoors and going for a pint or two once and a while!
