Hello! I'm a full time student at the University of Melbourne, though I also work part time. I am a friendly, laid back person and love meeting new people. I strive to keep myself neat and organised wherever possible and will respect your need for space and alone time. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports (tennis and soccer), watching shows and eating.
Hi ! I’m Chen 24 Male Perth born and raised Sri Lankan Tamil ethnicity I can move in now or as late as August 15. I've been here since July 24 and am currently rotting on my sister’s couch. I've moved over here to study, so I’m keeping my head down - mostly to avoid the sight of my sis and her boyfriend touch each other too much while making tacos. I’m technically here to complete a Masters of Journalism, but the true inspiration for the move was to get out of the small town vibes of Perth Western Australia. I fell in love with big cities and cultural epicentres after a recent trip to Toronto and NYC. My interests include psychology (which I have a bachelors in), hip hop, egg noodles in soup, oblique emojis, cinema and journalling. Some things I dislike include approaching girls in clubs, superheroes, Jay-Z’ new album and Netflix perfectionists that can’t select a movie and then settle on a bromance comedy they’ve already seen ‘but could watch again because it’s been ages.’ I used to live with three friends from high school. We enjoyed a drink, discussing Kendrick Lamar’s Damn and going through BBC’s critics poll of the 100 greatest films of the 21st century. I’m clean and minimalist. I want to make the most of my time here. Imbibe on art, meet strange characters and take in the views. Contact me if you’re interested in letting me inspect. Cheers, Chen

While looking for work and waiting to study Vet nursing I mostly spend my time volunteering at various animal organisations to further my knowledge. I guess I am a down to earth, open, honest person. I love to laugh, smile, read and sketch.. Im a bit of a geek when it comes to games, although I don't play as much anymore. Creating things is my hobby, whether its a planting something just to watch it grow or a painting some furniture, small or big I am always actively doing something. Im a bit of a klutz and air head at times *forgetful* but very adaptable. I love to see others happy and believe honesty is the best way when living with anyone. I like constructive criticism, to discuss, Im always looking to better myself. I love to get to know any person.. but I would like to live with people that I can maybe collaborate with. I have two cats, Elye and Monk, they are beautiful and pleasant to be around, the least pushy, most visibly appreciative cats. Elye- Showed up on my friends door at 4 weeks old, tiny with huge globes for eyes that he never seemed to grow into. Loves to be spoken to and always knows when you're speaking about him. He is very sociable, loves to snuggle and is still very much a kitten, despite him being 2 years. Monk- Only still a little one, Monkey is full of energy. He has a very strange persona, skittish but brave? The reason his name is Monkey? He makes these little high gurgling noises much like his brother but he hardly ever meows. Everyone falls in love with this duo. Funnily enough even people that don't usually like cats become fond of them, they're just so unique and random. Oh, I have a heap of furniture that is in storage. This huge double door fridge, a 1 door fridge probably suited for outdoors, an 8 seater beautiful oak table, bookshelves, a washing machine and a few other cute bits and bobs. It would be great to get them out but if they aren't needed its no biggie. As I mentioned, I love to get to know people but I also love it when people take the time to know me. Please feel free to send me a message with any questions :)
Hi ppl, I'm Oggy and I'm looking for a private room asap :D For the last two years, I've been living and studying here in Melbourne. I'm also working full time, so I'm quite organised and regular rent and bill payments will never be an issue. I'm very friendly and easygoing and I can get along with everyone - I've houseshared for the last two years and I've always had the best experiences. When Im not working or studying, I love going out to eat and hang out with friends at cafes, and when I have a break, I love to travel around Australia. I'm clean and tidy and will make sure to do my bit to keep the communal areas nice and clean. Cheers
Hi, my name is Thea and I am a 25 year old exchange student from Sweden. I recently got to Melbourne and will be studying Childhood Education at ACU in Fitzroy until mid December. Currently I’m staying with family but looking to find my own place ASAP and preferably for the duration of my stay. I am a responsible and tidy person who would love to share a house with someone who I can have a drink with and have a laugh but I also want to have my own space where I can relax after uni and work. I will be both studying, working and exploring this amazing city so will not spend too much time at home. Best, Thea
Hi! My name is Jasper, originated from southern China and I just came down here to Melbourne and started my Master program (Food Science) after spending four years college time in the U.S. I’m a very clean, friendly and respectful person as a roommate. I have an academic background of Nutritional Food Sciences and Sustainable Food systems. My interests include reading, cooking, traveling exercising, music, modern arts, and etc. I enjoy my time out with friends and don’t like to bring random strangers back to the house. Overall, I’m a really healthy individual doesn’t have any annoying hobbies. In terms of the type of room and roommate I am looking for, I hope I can find a place where I am able to spend my comfortably and (a) roommates that I can get along with very well. I don’t have a preference of living with guys or girls. But I do expect we can work it out and building a place that’s homey! Please message me if you are interested in renting a place with me or want to offer me a place to stay!
I'm doing a PhD in physics at the University of Melbourne. Australia is a very generous country so they decided to give me a salary/scholarship, which means that I can always pay my rent and bills in time, without having to rob any Woolies. In my spare time I like to do sports (running, swimming, yoga, soccer etc), annoy people around me playing my guitar, read books and travel as much as I can even if that just means going for on an adventure to the nearby pub. This is my 5th year living abroad in shared houses, before coming to Melbourne I lived in Ireland and Canada, so I am an international expert in the art of sharing a house. I value a lot the relationship with my housemates, so I'm looking for a bunch of people I can feel comfortable with, inside and outside the house, sharing dinners, drinks, lazy afternoons and any random moment life brings about. Luckily I also know how to respect others' privacy so I promise I won't follow you inside the bathroom. Living in a clean house is fundamental for me, so I hereby solemnly commit to put my efforts in keeping the place tidy and neat, and cleaning regularly.
Hi, My name is Lydia, Im 18 and a visual arts student. Im currently living in Preston but my lease ends in October and I'd like to find somewhere closer to the city. I can cook and I don't mind cooking communal meals. I went to boarding school so I have experience living with other people in a shared environment. I love a nice cup of tea, chats with housemates and baking delicious treats, whilst also trying to get some artwork done as well. Id really like to find a nice share house with people similarly aged to me, enjoy arts, music and laughing about memes. Im more than happy to do chores and help out around the house. So if you've got a room in a fun and close knit share house, please consider me! :)
I am a 26 year old German master student at the UOM and will be in Melbourne for the next 2 years. Having lived in shared houses around Europe for the last 6 years I know how to keep it clean and organized and most of all have a good time with the other house members :) I really enjoy reading, movies, sports, going out for a drink or food and enjoy the possibility to relax in my room and also chill with the housemates.
All-round chill housemate that just wants to get along with my housemates and have a fairly neat house. I love to cook and read, so expect me to force feed you and lend you my books. Always down for Netflix binges and getting stuff on Ubereats together. I respect others' privacy and do like my own quiet time as well, but don't mind if you have friends over from time to time, and I'd like the same for myself as well. Wanting to start up a new share house with awesome like-minded people (preferably females) where we get to start a home from scratch together! :)
Hey guys! I'm a small town girl from the Yarra valley and currently work all over metro Melbourne with my new job! I also go to Uni once a week, so I barely am home except weekends and most of that time I'll use to catch up with friends/or get to know housemates! I am so sick of the travel so I want something that's nice and close to the hustle of the City! I'm open to everhthing so holla if you think you've got the solution for me!
Hi there, I am looking for a private room with a clean and relatable flatmate. I am an Indonesian and I am very organized with my stuff most people say I am too clean aswell. I am a student at RMIT University and am working part-time. Hope to see you guys in person and deal with the room.
Originally from Sydney looking to relocate to Melbourne. Currently working full time looking for a private long term room. Typically chill during the work week, super easy going and want to live with like minded people.
Looking for a new place to stay starting around mid-august. About me: French Canadian law student from McGill Uni. I’m responsible, organized, and respectful of people’s space. Having been a counsellor for a while, I don’t shy away from real talks and good connections. I also like to go out and dance from time to time. I have already settled into a social life here, so you don't have to take care of me, while I'm obviously interested in the house life! Oh, and I like biking and volleyball. Kind of household: I am quite sociable and I hope to spend some time with my new roommates. However, I kinda like/need my sleep and privacy, so I don’t think a busy or party house would be the best fit. Animals = sure. People around my age = yas. Quick witted spirits = damn right. Gardening extraordinaires = yes please. Hit me up!
Easy going couple who travel a lot so only looking for a short term stay. Matt is from Melbourne and Anja is from South Africa, both working and will help in upkeep in and around the house. We like a clean space and pull our share in that regard. Non smokers. Great peeps.
I will be landing in Melbourne on August 22nd and looking for bar work. I'm easy to get along with and respect the privacy of others. Not looking for anything fancy, as long as it has a roof and a toilet. I will be arriving with only a suitcase & laptop so I will not take up much space.
I'm Ryan, 25, full time electrical engineer working with robotics startup. I like music, going to gigs/festivals, having beers and hanging out, looking to move into a fun sharehouse where everyone gets along. Looking to move immediately for the right room! Some things that are on my wishlist but aren't deal breakers: -NBN or fast internet -Garage/Shed for tinkering Some things that are important to me: -Unfurnished room - I have my own stuff -Parking (permit/off street or quiet street)
Hi guys, Omni here! I'm a rather obsessive love of the colour green, I also like traveling, good coffee/tea, crafts, theater, music, cooking, plants, candles, computer games! *Neat & tidy *Social but respects privacy *Not a party animal but can appreciate a shared meal or a couple of drinks. *I identify as an androgyne, pansexual and polyamorous. I'm currently living in regional NSW but hoping to make the move back to Melbourne (where I've lived a few years previously). I'm a palliative nurse by trade and currently looking for work, although I'm hoping to find something a bit more chill (call centre, desk job ect) after spending the last 5 and a bit years as a live in nurse for a family member. (Hoping to find a place that's no more than $250 a week inclusive of bills or there abouts and a place to park my car (Bertie)!)
