I'm a 30 year old kiwi whose been in Australia for the last 10 years. I'm pretty quiet when I am home and not the type of person who always has people over. I work 4 x 10 hour days in superannuation and pet/house sit as often as possible, so I won't always be home. I'm looking for my own room with ensuite/my own bathroom; this is a must for me. Completely happy to live somewhere with pets as I'm a huge animal lover. LGBTIQ friendly. I'm incredibly clean and tidy so you never have to worry about me messing up your space. Looking for somewhere for the next 6 or so months. I'm into rockabilly, makeup, burlesque and anything animal related. A bit quirky and alternative.
Work full time in Sales and Retail in a small business selling trailer and auto parts, which is located in Northgate. Need to live closer to work so I don’t have to pay tolls and drive an hour to work everyday. Easy going and laid back person. been in Queensland for a bit Less than 2 years, so I don’ t know many people outside of my family who are spread throughout south east Queensland. Originally from the outskirts of Sydney. Starting to go to the gym a couple of days a week again. Clean after myself, not much bothers me. Good for a chat about various topics and a drink on weekends if you are a social person or I can keep to myself if you aren’t because I’m more of an introvert. But I love my sport so keen to have a few beers watching nrl, cricket on weekends to relax. Also could be away with family camping on weekends exploring south east Qld.
Hi my name is Betsy and I have a small dog named Archie! We are looking for another person or couple to share with to save money on rent! I work full time in the city and am looking for a place close to a train station as I try not to use my car everyday. I have furniture & appliances already so I’m really looking for someone that will only need an unfurnished room! I'm neat, tidy and not a big party animal (occasionally is fine). I am quite shy and quiet but would like to sit and have a chat and dinner over a glass of wine some nights if you're keen, but mostly keep to myself. My dog is a small mixed breed Chihuahua cross Cavalier, he is not a yappy dog and loves to be with people, so dog lovers please apply! Let me know if you'd like to meet and maybe line up some places to look at on the weekend :)
Hi! My name is Adele, I work full-time as a website designer, I play soccer & futsal and like to have an active lifestyle. I'm friendly, clean & easy going. Always down for an occasional wine and cheese night! I have furniture that I can bring, however can make arrangements if it's not required.
I am quiet and very clean. I'm friendly and I work full time as well as go to the gym a lot. I like being social and also like my privacy. I have my dog and I do smoke but strictly only outside. I'm basically a positive happy person who works hard and loved a good laugh.
I am young an fit so the gardens and housework isn't a problem. Aside from that I am a quiet self-contained individual spending most of my time working or self-studying as I love learning ... almost anything. At heart I am a gamer and spend what spare time I have gaming ps4 atm working on fixing my PC and, occasionally split my attention with guitar practice, and exercise and enjoy a bit of basketball here and there. Whilst I stick to myself most the time I don't mind the occasionally bbq or get together.
Current nurse, studying paramedicine from Victoria moving to Brisbane. Will probably only be around a couple of days a week, do have family in NSW I’ll be returning to as much as possible- weekly. Super clean and tidy, keeps to self. Looking for room or property within a reasonable budget.
Hi Potential New Housemate, My name is John, I'm a 24yrs old Dutch guy who's in Australia since May 2018. To give you an impression of my time in Australia I decided to devide my stay here into periods: - May 2018 - October 2018 The first five months of my stay I have traveled the whole continent by car, together with a friend of mine. After he went back to Amsterdam I decided to stay in Australia for a longer time. - October 2018 - May 2019 To make this possible I had to fulfill my 88 days of farmwork requirements, which I did in the Sunshine Coast. I lived together with the couple Tommy & Jon (40+) in The Glass House Mountains for seven months. A one week AirBnb-stay turned into a small gay household for more than seven months, the best period of my life! - May 2019 - November 2019 Back home in The Netherlands I have worked as an IKEA Sales man for 4 years, so it was an easy step to work for IKEA in Brisbane as well. As soon as my farmwork requirements were fulfilled and my Visa extension was approved I moved to Camp Hill, Brisbane. I've worked as a CheckOut coworker for 6 months at IKEA Logan. - November 2019 - Future At the moment I'm working as a Sales Coworker again at IKEA North Lakes. I'm living in the beautiful area of Lutwyche together with my housemate. Unfortunately the lease of our appartent will run out in January 2020 and the rental company doesn't allow us to stay another five months (only 12 months extentions are allowed...), so I need to search for another place to live for the last 4,5 months of my stay in Australia. My contract at IKEA North Lakes is 40+ hours, what means that I'm away for work a lot. I have my own car as well, so that makes me fully independant. I'm aiming for a place to stay at the Northside of the river where I can stay till the end of my Visa period (May 2020). Are you the potential housemate who can offer that to me? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About myself: My spare time consist of a lot of social activities, because I like to catch up with people and learn from them. I'm not a party type at all, but am always in for a casual drink and a chat. That's also the reason that I don't want to live by myself. It's simply too boring. Unfortunately it's still a necessity to mention nowadays.... I'm gay. All my former housemates were very open minded and also accepted me to invite friends to come over for a casual drink and a sleepover every now and then. Please know that I'm someone with a 'professional'-mindset, what means that I am aware of my housemates, their privacy and happy to adjust myself where possible. It's common sense for me to take part in the house hold tasks. A clean and tidy environment is a must for me. Maybe a bit stereotypical, but that's why I rather live with professionals than with students. I'm very curious what you think about my background and my vision of life. Preferably I want to move in as soon as possible, but am open to dates a little bit further in the future. Wanna grab a coffee to discuss the possibilities? Would like to hear from you. Dutch greetings, Gr. John
I’m a recent engineer graduate, moved up from Sydney to work for a racing team up here in Brisbane. In my spare time you can usually find me playing guitar, going to the gym, volunteering at the RSPCA or out travelling and seeing new things. I’m hoping to expand my social circle (as I don’t know many people outside of work) by living with some flat mates who are young and at a similar stage in their lives as me.
I'm looking for a place that's close to the inner city with easily accessible public transport (bus and/or train), since I don't drive. An unfurnished, spacious room with a wardrobe in a modern or renovated place would be ideal, since I already have my double bed, desk, and shelves sorted in terms of furniture. Move date is an estimate, but somewhere around late Dec or early Jan is when I'm expecting to move. I am an IT/design student at QUT, currently looking for part-time work to do alongside my studies. When I'm not buried under uni assessment, I like to read, go for walks, tend to my indoor plants, stay in to watch YouTube/Netflix/Stan/Disney+, and go out to hang with my friends. I may invite a friend over occasionally, but other than that, I can assure you I won't be hosting any parties at all during my stay! I would describe myself as a quiet, reserved person; typical for an IT person, I guess! I also like to keep my surroundings reasonably neat and tidy, but I'm not too OCD about things. As long as everyone pulls their weight with chores, I'm pretty easy to get along with. If there's anything more you'd like to know, don't hesitate to contact me. :)
