I’m easy going honest, person that enjoys the outdoors don’t mind I chat from time to time and a quiet place to relax after a days work,I like a tidy house and like to clean up after myself! I’m after a secured car park and unfinished room with on bathroom if possible 😊
I work a standard day of 10 - 6:30. My belongings are usually contained within my bedroom and I'll rarely leave any mess in communal spaces. I can share meals if required Also bringing guitar and electric piano. Free to use but don't break them
We love to keep the house clean and basic hygiene will be well taken care of. Wants to come back to healthy home cooked food? Just let me know and I can always just cook an extra portion for you. Maybe healthier cakes/ muffins for any celebration We are environmentally friendly when it comes to energy consumption. So far only used heating in winter evening to heat up the room and aircon to cool down room when it is above 30 degree indoor. Our current housemates were amazed that water and electricity consumption went down after 2 of us moved in to replace one previous housemate. Time to move on as one of our housemates decided to have an unemployed guest who overstay from 2 weeks to 10 weeks, damaged the oven and even created a mess daily in the kitchen which I have to clean up. We rarely have visitors except for the occasional dinner with friends. And maybe friends/families from Melbourne who might stay a day or 2. Furnishings we have to share on top of our room furnishings: Indoor: 23" TV with TV Box, Indoor Antenna, HP Envy printer, a foldable dining table, microwave, crock pot, rice cooker, kettle, sandwich maker, vacuum cleaner, a mop, a kitchen bin etc. Optional (can give these away) Outdoor: White table with 3 chairs, outdoor umbrella, umbrella stand. Garden: Shovel, garden fork, manual lawn mower, leaf blower. We do prefer house mates who are respectful to others, easy going and clean up after themselves.
My partner and I are responsible young adults looking to move out for the first time. We are both recent graduates from Lake Tuggeranong College. Ben has a full time job and I am currently looking for one. We are tidy, non-smokers and we are more than happy to be social with flatmates. I don’t tend to login to this website very much and I don’t pay for it so if you’d like to team up and start a new sharehouse or if you think you have the perfect house for Ben and I, please message me and I'll give you my number. Thanks everyone!
I am 22 year old female, moving from Sydney to Canberra to join the public service. I am clean, respectful and sociable. I enjoy cooking (so you can expect lots of home cooked meals), reading and watching TV/Movies. I love my alone time but also love a good chat. I am looking to share an amazing home with equally amazing people.
Neat and tidy, easy-going, with a cute little (non-shedding, hypoallergenic) doggo! Originally from northern NSW, I've just returned from a few years in London and am will be starting my new job in March. Please get in touch if you've got a pet-friendly room near Phillip, Woden, Garran, Lyons etc.
Active, funny and friendly professional looking for a 6 month sharehouse on the 200 or 300 bus routes. I sold my house in late 2016 and have been overseas. Need a place for up to 6 months to decide what I want to do. I am a clean, meticulous person who is flexible and accomodating. I've lived in many sharehouses before. Although a 'people' person who loves a good chat and a joke, I do like my own space and like the home to be a quiet sanctuary. I like the communal nature of cooking and enjoy sharing work and social anecdotes. My ideal setup is renting the main bedroom with ensuite. I don't have furniture so would prefer furnished but can provide furniture if needed. Working in a 'normal office hours' business development role in government.
G'day! I'm a an easy going, reliable, tidy and respectful 29 year old from Brisbane looking for a new share house in Canberra to call home. I have a full-time IT job in Phillip which keeps me busy, so most evenings I'm pretty keen to take it easy and watch some Netflix or play video games. Though I also enjoy socializing and going out when work isn't too crazy
I'm moving to Canberra for an APS role. I will be working in Greenway so would prefer something nearby, or in woden valley or the inner south region. I would love some friendly housemates who enjoy exploring and casual wines, but also respect personal space and quiet time. I am easygoing and clean up after myself. I enjoy swimming, banter, kayaking, reading and watching TV.
Hi all, my name is Lawrence and I am moving to Canberra in mid January to begin work in early February. I am from Adelaide and graduate from mechanical engineering two years ago and I have been working full time since. I am also looking forward to exploring the national parks near Canberra. I would describe myself as neat and tidy. I like to get out of the house during the day time, but prefer to relax at home in the evenings.
Hi, I'm Cameron. I'm working full time as an electronics engineer and moving for work starting on the 12th of February in Canberra's West, and looking for somewhere to call home. I'm currently living in a sharehouse and you will find me to be friendly, respectful, and easy to get along with. I'll keep the place reasonably tidy and pitch in for chores. I like enough of my own space, and respect that you probably do to, but otherwise tend to be up for a chat, even over a few drinks or a shared meals from time to time. I enjoy nerdy stuff like books and board games, but I also want to get out and explore our illustrious capital. So what am I after? I'd like to be within 20 minutes drive of work, 30 max (and obviously somewhere to park my car). Bonus points if I can cycle within 30-40 minutes too. (Preferred suburbs above are a guide only!) I'm after housemates who are easy to get along with, respectful, reasonably tidy, and will respect my need for enough of my own space and privacy. That said, I'm keen to live somewhere at least somewhat homely, so after housemates who want to hang out sometimes too. It's important that I meet (or at least talk to) all of the current housemates first. Also, I'm not interested in sharing with any couples (sorry!). The house will be big enough that I am able to have space from other people when I need it - whether or not much of that space is in my room. I also have my own bedroom furniture. Like what you see, but more questions? Don't hesitate to ask! I can also get you a reference from a current housemate on request.
I’m Haynes, 24 years old, and from Melbourne! I’m working full-time in the APS (in Barton) and I’m looking to move closer to the city. I've been in Canberra for just over a year, but I’m still keen to explore new venues/bars/restaurants and see what the city has to offer. I'm a very respectful, tidy and happy housemate who loves to be social but can also respect others personal space. I don't have any pets or dependents & I'm interested in securing long-term accommodation. Things I like: - Food festivals - Good coffee (basically a pre-requisite to living in Melbourne) - Reading - Hiking/jogging - Cycling Ideally I'm looking for my own room in a friendly house. I’m interested in a long-term rental close to the city or work – but I’m flexible. Shoot me a message, I’d love to hear from you.
I’m a full time public servant who is also studying part time. I’m originally from sunny Western Australia. I enjoy keeping fit and playing sports. This is balanced by a baking addition (if you have a sweet tooth be prepared for diabetes) and love of bad television. I’m social and friendly, always up for a chat, coffee, gin or trashy television but I’m respectful of the need for personal space and not living in each other pockets. I’ve lived in sharehouses for quite some time and appreciate a clean and tidy home and am respectful of my housemates :) Ideally I’m looking for somewhere around Kingston/Braddon/Turner/Campbell etc so that I can cycle to work in Barton however but will consider outside of that.
I'm 26, moving from Adelaide to Canberra for work. I am sociable and keen for a chat over some wine, but respect the privacy of others and am looking for similar housemates. I love dogs but unfortunately can't bring mine across. I like to jog a bit, and go on netflix binges to counteract that. I also like baking. I'll be working full time but will be planning a few weekend trips to the snow and the beach!
I am a 29 yr old vet, who has recently moved to Canberra from Sydney. I love cooking and baking and sharing whatever I've made. I am always happy to sit and have a chat, but also respect the need for space. I clean up after myself and not opposed to doing whatever dishes there are in the sink. :)
I have recently moved to Canberra from Wollongong to work full time as a registered nurse. On my days off I tend to enjoy eating out, exploring Canberra, socializing with friends, reading, sketching, gaming, Netflix (and tons of movies) or occasionally visiting family back in Wollongong. I go to the gym quite often in the week and try to stay relatively healthy in my lifestyle. I value personal space and am not much of a party goer so I can come across as quiet. However, I enjoy good company and will socialize at home with other flatmates. I also consider tidiness to be quite important and try to keep a clean, hospitable home environment. Please don't be shy, and say hello!
Hi, I am a 4th year Radiography student at CSU and I have a final 36 week full-time residency beginning 29th January in Canberra. I plan on remaining in Canberra after placement concludes. I have previously lived on campus university accommodation in Wagga Wagga for the previous 3 years with up to 7 other people at a time. I am clean, friendly and respectful of other housemates and have never had any issues. My hobbies include fishing and I plan to join a local AFL team. I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Cameron
I'm friendly and easy going, mostly keep to myself - but wouldn't mind occasional chats and a bit of a social house. I'll be starting full time work in Jan end. I like to keep the house tidy and am respectful of other housemates. I like to cook sometimes, read and have occasional outings with friends. I don't have a car, so would ideally like to live within walking distance (upto 10 minutes) from a main bus stop.
Hi, I'm Albert coming into Canberra from Melbourne. 24, about to start full-time work in Federal public service. I love to go out (bars, clubs or just dining out) and travel when I have the chance. I am also interested in social issues, law and abstract questions which have no practical application in real life.
Hi I’m Ilya a 24 year old starting a graduate position next year and looking for a place in Canberra for at least the next 12 months. Ideally I would be looking for somewhere around Kingston or Woden but get in touch anyway as I'm not too fussed! I'm looking to move in by February but keen for a place earlier than that. I’m tidy, friendly and considerate and have lived out before. As I’m moving from Sydney I would also be keen to explore Canberra and see what it can offer. I like nature, tv and coffee.
Hi! I'll be moving from Sydney to Canberra to begin a graduate role in early Feb 2018. I'm an easygoing, responsible and tidy person and I enjoy doing some zumba, watching TV shows and reading. I'm respectful of personal space but also happy to hang out and socialise!
