I am full time working professional. I don't have car and looking for room or house to share nearby airport. I am friendly and respectful guy, like to socialise and know to give individual space as well. I am looking for team ups or rent single room.
I am a young working professional that also does weekend work from time to time. I enjoy going to the gym and being social. I am relaxed, motivated but easy going and a neat and clean person. I work in the field of Television. Which people are always keen to hear about. Massive fan or art in all its forms or just keen for a beer or a glass of wine. It has to be red wine or we simply can't be friends. Its a deal breaker, sorry. Happy Hunting!!!
I am moving from Brisbane in early Feb 2017 to start a new role, so I'm looking for shared accommodation with some friendly people in Canberra. I've been renting for a few years in Brisbane, so I'm very good at cleaning up after myself, and I'm comfortable living with either guys or girls. As a housemate I am tidy, friendly and considerate, and I am looking for housemates with similar qualities. In my free time I try to get outdoors and go for a walk/hike, and love spending time with friends. Also love getting stuck into a good Netflix series! I have a good sense of humour and I enjoy a good laugh, and don't mind the occasional wine. I'm looking for an unfurnished room, and as a bonus I also come with a couch and front-loader washing machine! (but can put those in storage if they're not needed). I can flexible with my move-in date starting from 4 Feb, but looking to be moving by 19 Feb at the latest. If you think I might be the right housemate for you, I'd love to hear from you
I have recently accepted an offer to work full-time for the Department of Veterans' Affairs as an ICT Graduate. I have just moved from Brisbane to Canberra, and am looking for accommodation. I would preferably like to move into a place as soon as possible. I am twenty one years of age, and have recently completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Information Technology, with a major in Software Development, from Griffith University. I am an easy-going, considerate and sociable person, and am a strong believer in cleanliness. I have a passion for travelling and enjoy playing computer games in my free time.
I have just finished my Honours year in archaeology. Moving to Canberra for a graduate role that begins mid-February with the National Library. I am 26 years old. Well travelled, quiet, and a laid-back individual that likes to both socialise and spend time alone. I love to cook (my current roommates say they will miss my cooking), I clean up after myself, and more than happy to pitch in etc. I enjoy a few social drinks after a long week, enjoy an occasional Netflix session or movie night, and I love my yoga. I have a Mazda 2. I am also a bit of a nerd. I'm looking to share with people (male or female), close to Barton, or close enough to public transport to make that trip for work. I will be working full-time commencing mid-February 2017. Happy with a house, apartment, studio etc. I am looking for a shorter lease at this stage (6-9 months) while I settle in to Canberra, and look for a more permanent house where my beautiful Border Collie can join me eventually. If I find a suitable place straight away, I will be looking for a long term lease.
G'day, I am a 22 year old student who just completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science at University of Wollongong. I am about to commence my Master of Statistics at ANU this year. I am very studious, and will probably be spending a lot of my time studying at the uni. I am also very conscientious about my fitness, particularly martial arts. However, I don't mind the odd social drink, as well as TV show/Film/video game. I lived on campus at Kooloobong Village for the first two years of my degree, and off campus through a real estate agent (Cooper and Cooper) for the final year of my degree. I have never had a complaint at either locations.
I am an easy going 19 year old from a little town called harden. I enjoy playing footy and water skiing. I am moving to Canberra to start my apprenticeship in heavy on road mechanical and auto elect.
I'm 28yrs old, full time employee working in a bank. Clean and tidy, Fun loving, love to eat and travel. Own PS3 and can play games all day. I also have a washing machine, dryer, microwave, fridge which I'm happy to share. If you already have all or any of these things, I'd need a place to store all this. Enjoys music and movies. Looking for flatmate who enjoys similar hobbies. I'm new in Canberra and don't know much about this place and would love to explore. Flatmate who can become a friend will be awesome. I can drink anything but not a regular drinker. Don't like smoking next to me. Love to chat but need quiet time as well. I own a motorbike and will need a secured garage to park my bike overnight. Contact me
Moving to Canberra to start Full time employment with Geoscience Australia. I am very social but enjoy and respect personal time and space, also very clean in kitchen and shared areas and expect the same from other housemates, Personal rooms are yours to do with as you want. I am quite active, usually training one sport or another (mostly Judo and Ultimate Frisbee), and enjoy getting out of the house on weekends and traveling, my girlfriend would visit for weekends from time to time I am looking for somewhere reasonably quiet, but do enjoy a drink on a social night every now and then, I am starting to amass a collection of board games. Have lived with and get along with both male and female housemates, and age is not an issue, also LGBT friendly. If I sound like you could live with me let me know, Cheers, James
Hi! I am an incoming APS Grad student (Dept of Energy/Environment). I am an outgoing and fun person to hang around with while still being very neat, organised and accommodating of other people. I love travelling, socialising and playing sports like soccer/basketball and doing outdoors activities like skiing and hiking.
I am a quiet girl, so I don't really socialise much. I catch a bus to and from work at the moment so I don't need a car space just yet. I work 5 days a week usually till around 4:30-5 so i wont be home much during the day. Looking to make a few friends around my age as well so I can go out more and be more social. I currently live in queanbeyan but have to find somewhere else to stay.
My friend and I are about to begin studying at CIT and are looking to find a place ASAP. Friendly, easy going guys, up for a chat but will keep out of your way. We both enjoy photography so we would love to find someone the would be cool with us putting framed photos on the walls :)
Hey there! I'm Grace and I'm about to leave my home town Melbourne for the capital city. Currently homeless so here I am...I am about to start a new job in the APS and am moving up in a few weeks. My move in date is flexible, but would be sometime in February. I am not sure what length of lease etc I'm looking for but open to different options. Outside of work I like to find great brunch spots and great coffee, go to the gym, relax, go on Netflix binges and so on. I'm a low key kind of person especially during the working week so would love some people to relax at home with who also won't mind if I chill out in my room alone sometimes. I am a clean and tidy person and am looking forward to making a new home in Canberra. I would be open to furnished or unfurnished options. I'm a pretty relaxed house mate, I'd love to make some new friends so let me know if all of that works for you and you have a room or need a housemate to find a place with :)
I'm moving to Canberra in early February (can move in earlier or later) to work full time in finance in the APS. I'm clean and tidy and enjoy cooking/baking. I love animals so I'm happy to live in a household with pets. I’m pretty active outside of work with volunteering for various causes and also enjoy hiking and other cool activities. On the other hand, I love a day at home just chilling out crafting, watching Netflix and cross stitching and am more than happy to have company when I’m at home. I'm considerate of other people's space but also enjoy socialising.
Hello! I'll be starting full-time work with the public service in February 2017 and as such am looking for flatmates :) About me - I see myself as a friendly, but pretty relaxed person. I I like to keep active - swimming, cycling, and hiking are things I like to do for fun. I also love to cook and would be open to the occasional shared meal. As a newcomer to Canberra, I'll be keen for a chat over a beer and game for adventures in the CBD or bushland. That being said, I also value privacy and the need to feel 'at home' and comfortable in living situations. You can expect me to be courteous and friendly :) I am looking for two or three relaxed housemates who are happy for a chat. I value open communication, shared housework (roster perhaps?) and tidy shared living areas. Feel free to message me if you're looking to start a share house or in need of a flatmate - would love to meet you!
Hi I’m Von and I’m moving from Sydney to Canberra to commence a Graduate Program in February with the APS after finishing a Law degree. I’m generally a clean, quiet guy who enjoys reading and is into fitness. Non-smoker who’s up for a chat over a drink but respects personal space as well.
I'm moving from Sydney to start postgrad study at ANU first semester this year - I'm flexible with my moving date. I'm a mature individual, and I keep everything (but my sock drawer) tidy. I'm easy to get along with and I'm always up for a chat/being social, but am happy to keep to myself in the house if that's the go. I love sports, particularly netball, and am looking to get involved in a new club/team once I move. I'm a music fan (the non-snobby kind), and love to attend big concerts as well as local gigs. I'm open to different locations, though as a Sydneysider who has spent her life traveling and commuting to everything - I'd love to take advantage of the size of Canberra and live somewhere central.
(I'll add to this if I think of anything else useful) Also, NBN is a big plus in a place I'm looking for! I am extremely versatile and share many varied interests with many different groups of people so for the most part I get along with everyone. I'm also very clean, organised and enjoy a proactive mindset. I lived for a while in Korea and enjoy cooking very spicy meals! I ride motorbikes (it is also my primary mode of transport) and enjoy gaming, music, my home media server and photography! I also have a HTC Vive, so should you have an interest (and the space) for virtual reality at it's best I'd love to share it! I work for Avanade as an Infrastructure Analyst.
I'm a 26 year old former teacher from Sydney who's entering the public service. I'm a very easygoing guy who isn't picky about anything and is happiest when everyone gets along. I've lived at home all my life, but I'm currently the oldest of 4 brothers at home and my parents work a lot, so I'm heavily involved in house duties such as washing up, cooking for everyone, cleaning etc so I don't shirk away from keeping a house tidy! I'm a sociable guy who's keen to make friends with his housemates and bond over whatever activities they like, especially the brunch kind, but I also do like my down time chilling out with Netflix, playing some Playstation or reading up pretty much anything on the net. I watch and play a whole heaps of sports, so if you're particularly keen on basketball, any form of footy or soccer, you can be sure I'll slot in well! I also come from a Lebanese household so my mum plans on sending me back with a whole heap of food every so often, so if you like Leb cuisine, everybody will be happy for days!
I'm an engineer, who once dreamt of being an artist. I love reading (all-sorts including comics), catching up with friends, keeping active and working on random projects - I sew, I bake, I mould, I make. I like to learn or work at tasks and projects that catch my fancy, and every now and again I act. Beyond that, I'm tidy, reliable, relatively laid back and a non-smoker. I'm fairly easy going; a bit of an introvert, but happy to socialise. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
I am PhD student in Linguistics studying at ANU from the US (2 hours from Chicago). My wife is from NE India and working part-time. We are pretty quiet and like to keep things clean, but enjoy socializing with roommates as well. We are both non-smokers. She doesn't drink, but I can enjoy something now and then with friends. We are staying in Canberra until the end of July 2017 and looking for a room that accepts couples during that time.
Hi all! I am moving to Canberra from Melbourne in February to take up a graduate role in Barton. I love going out for food/drinks, exploring the city, going to the gym, or having chilled nights in at home. I'm very organised and clean, love a bit of cooking at home sometimes and just relaxing on the couch. I'm super excited about moving to Canberra, so would love to live with someone who knows the area well and can show me some cool places!! I am looking for a place to share with 1-2 other people that is new and close to either the City or to Barton. I would prefer to have an ensuite bathroom or my own bathroom. I have no pets, and I don't smoke. Please let me know if I would suit your place!! Caitlin :)
Recent uni grad, moving to Canberra for a new job. Looking for a place to call home. Like to stay at home just as much as I like to go out. I have a few friends in Canberra but will be looking to make more and would like a place where it's ok to have them over for a drink or a BBQ (and for you to join us).
I'm from Perth moving to Canberra for a grad program! I love to cook and am a very clean person. I like my privacy and hoping for a roommate who is the same but loves a drink or three on the weekend. I'll be working full time and would like to find a cool netball team! I like listening to music, bike riding, and Netflix binges.
Hi, I'm Emanuela and I'm 22 years old. I'm looking for a share-house. I'm an Italian girl and I'm friendly, smiley and a positive person!! I like live in a good place, such as a clean and tidy environment.
Clean tidy considerate of people and their space. Have a young family me my wife and and 2 yr old son. We are looking for short stay as we are new to Canberra. We are Vegetarian and we are happy to be with people who try different cuisines. Love movies and exploring places.
Hey, I'm Colin. I'm 23 and I'm moving to Canberra for a job in the APS. I was born in Washington DC but grew up in Canberra and came to Melbourne about 5 years ago. I'm super easy going and friendly, enjoy going out with friends but not a huge partier ("perfect combination of cool and not annoying" - current housemate, 2016). Working full time so I won't be coming and going at all hours. No weird/loud hobbies just a lot of TV watching and reading. I've also been living out of home for 5 years so I'm pretty used to picking up after myself and I cook pretty regularly.
I am a mid 20's university graduate (Law/Commerce) moving to Canberra in February 2017 to start work with the APS. -Easygoing -Clean & tidy -Decent cook and frequent baker -Enjoy hanging out with friends whilst enjoying good food and drink -Enjoy pilates & team sports but also plenty of netflix time -Also have great respect for personal space Looking for bedroom + ensuite and parking space
Hello! I'm a Melbournian moving to Canberra late January for an APS Graduate position. I'm friendly, open minded and really easy to get along with. I'm also very capable in keeping things neat and respecting personal space. I enjoy hanging out and exploring new places to eat, drink and see and would love to find someone to explore Canberra with. Happy to also do my own thing every now and then! Feel free to message me for a chat :)
I'm easy-going and friendly. I'm used to living with others and am respectful of people's space - I'm happy to catch up for a chat, or do my own thing. I work for an airline, so I'm occasionally away overnight, and work odd hours from time to time. I tend to keep busy with work, exercise, and the occasional catch up with friends. I also love being outdoors, planning new adventures and (as I'm relatively new to Canberra) exploring the best of what the city has to offer.
I am undertaking a Master of International Affairs at A.N.U. I am a conservative Catholic who goes to church weekly. I eat healthy food, except for decadent desserts and international specialties, made from Australian grown and high welfare ingredients. I must live in a clean and tidy home. I enjoy day trips to the surrounding ACT and NSW regional areas, cycling around the lake, walks in the botanical gardens, going to see foreign films, farmers' markets, classical music concerts, going to the gym, and visiting art galleries.
I'm a 26-year-old lawyer from Melbourne, moving to Canberra to work at the courts. I'm house-trained (having lived in share houses for a while now), neat and clean, but not to the unliveable extent. I'm a pretty outgoing guy, work a lot, tend to keep myself pretty busy, but am also a social and friendly housemate. My role requires me to move to Brisbane in July, but if that's okay for you, I'm a fun and dependable housemate, respectful of space, and easy to live with.
Helloo! 24yo female moving up to Canberra from Melbourne for a new full-time position in the APS, and looking for a chilled but social household to join. Looking in the southern Canberra area, around Kingston/Forrest/Griffith but also flexible in that. Would like to think I'm a pretty relaxed and fun housemate who can keep things clean and tidy, and have a bit of household chat or banter but also have some quiet time. Have to admit to a love of coffee, and am keen to check out the social and cultural scene in Canberra. But also enjoy following news and current affairs, watching sport, keeping active and a little homemade cooking. Any questions just let me know! Fiona
Hi there, I'm a 24 year-old young professional who works full-time in Canberra. I originally grew up in Melbourne and moved to Canberra in 2011 to study at ANU. I've been in a share house in Campbell for the past three years, but with my housemates moving interstate I'm now looking for a new place. I generally like keeping to myself, but also enjoy occasional after work drinks and the odd get together with friends.
Happy, down to earth and open minded - ideally I'd like to find a place with pets. I'm 25 and have lived in share houses since I was 18 so am well accustomed to shared living and understand the importance of communication and being respectful of fellow housemates. I am currently working 4 days a week at the Clean Energy Regulator while studying part-time at the ANU. If you'd like to know anything else feel free to ask.
Hey guys, I am easy-going person looking to find a place to move to over the next month or so when my current lease runs out. I am an active person who also works a lot so I won't be around all that much, but I do like the occasional kitchen catch up when housemates cross paths. Let me know if this sounds like it might work out! Casey
I'm Josephine and I'm moving back to Canberra after some years in Sydney and rural NSW. I'm a full-time high school French teacher, and I'd love to live around the South Side of Canberra to commute to school. I've had some experience living in share houses. I think they're great because you get to meet new people. I'm a tidy, considerate housemate who is always willing to cook dinner, pitch in to clean up or enjoy a drink after work. As I am employed full time, I would be away from the house during the day. I enjoy reading and movies. I'm from a small town outside of Canberra so I'd be back there on the odd weekend too. I'd love to go to trivia nights or join a netball team this year too! If I sound like someone you'd like to live with, let me know :)
My name is Caila Rothwell, and I begin as a New Graduate Dietitian at The Canberra Hospital in early February. I am looking for a home with someone that is laid-back, clean and friendly. I love having my own time, but also love company over the occasional dinner or tea. I love cooking, the outdoors, my friends and family, a feel-good movie (disney), board games and the simple things in life. I am very personable, flexible, easy to talk to and treat everyone with respect. I love animals, so if there are animals in the house that is no issue.
Hi, My name is Ellen. I am a school psychologist working for the ACT Education Directorate. I moved to Canberra last year, from country Victoria, where I used to work as a high school teacher. I am a pretty easygoing person who likes to share the odd meal/conversation with housemates. I also like reading, running/going to the gym, and cooking in my spare time. I am open to different move dates. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Kind regards, Ellen Sheridan
Me and my friend looking for house to share with nice, tidy, outgoing people. We both are working and preferrably we are looking for share maximum with another 2 people. We are from Azerbaijan :) Probably it will sound exotic) We used to live in university accommodation so we are up for social activities on weekends :)
At home I love to read non fiction, drink tea, and listen to house, indie, and jazz. I enjoy chats about culture and sharing war stories about travel. Currently trying to learn Portuguese. On weekends I wash, shop, market, cafe, cook, and bar while on weekdays I like to stay out playing soccer or pursuing other hobbies. Working full time away from home, I will occasionally visit hometown Melbourne and go on trips. Spending (too) much of my time tottering around in the kitchen and drinking hot beverages, I like to keep things tidy and clean. I appreciate housemates that treat communal areas the same way. I'm not looking for the perfect fit, just another straight-talker who is equally considerate.. and vaguely shares one of the above interests :)
I am an engineering student, I love old music, studying, being a nerd, shopping and I working full time as a research intern in electronics engineering. I mostly study, work, go for high teas, love a good cocktail, shop heaps, drink a hell lot of tea, bake cakes and enjoy some jazz. I have lived in a share house before and I make a good flat mate. Honestly the only reason I'm moving out of my current house is because the bills got too high and the place got too crowded. I am looking to move in as soon as possible. I am looking for a house that has the following: - near the city and ANU (preferred if its within walking distance) - inbuilt wardrobe - furnished with a double bed and a desk - within 170$ - Maybe has a garden/good views/windows/balcony though its not necessary to have this - Nice flat mates - Low bills - Washing machine and a microwave
Having signed my life away for the next 3-4 years to do a PhD at the ANU I am looking for a place closer to uni and work. I am easy going and always up for a bit of a laugh, I also like to keep busy and do fitness (which is lucky as I am a big fan of cheese and wine). Having spent long periods of time living in Cambodian and Malagasy jungles (yes jungles) I am pretty easy to please when I comes to living but I really don't enjoy shivering my way through Canberra winters. Perks of living with me include: 1) Having access to an impressive activewear collection. 2) Visits from an adorable dog. 3) No longer having to worry about being the most embarrassing housemate. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi, I'm currently a student studying at the ANU and will mostly be out of the house/apartment in the day at uni. I'm pretty sociable and like a chat and movie here and then, but I'm also usually out of the house hanging with friends :) If you need space, I'm also pretty good at keeping to my self. I don't throw parties and do like to have the occasional friends over for a movie or games night, but even then, it's pretty rare (1-2 a week). I've lived in a share house for the last year and it's only due to lease expiring that I need a new place. I don't mind anywhere Northside Canberra as I have a car so I'm pretty flexible with location, but close to the city would be preferable. Hope to hear from you soon!
I am quiet and enjoy my own space, but I am also good company and enjoy a drink and a meal. I am a clean and tidy person. I have recently moved to Canberra to work for the APS and am looking to move into an established place with one or two roommates (preferably female).
I'm a fairly recent graduate working full time in the public service. Sociable and keen to make friends especially if that involves chilling out with a glass of wine. I like cooking, reading and going for nice walks around Canberra. Looking for a room for about 6 months, with guys or girls around the same age as me.
I'm a public service worker who just finished my graduate program last year who's looking for a temporary place to stay for a few months! I'm usually at work but when home I'm nice, tidy and quiet.
I'm a recent ANU graduate who now has a graduate job in Canberra. I love to learn, am easy to get along with, respectful and tidy. I'm particularly interested in learning Mandarin, so living in a house with native mandarin speakers would be a huge bonus. My hobbies include running/exercise, soccer, reading, watching movies occasionally, learning about random stuff, travelling. I'm not much of a partygoer, however, I enjoy socialising and meeting new people.
