Hello all, I am a 27 year old APS lawyer looking for somewhere to stay for approximately three months while I try to find employment interstate. I am an avid nerd of all things musical and political. I like to spend my free time keeping active, mostly with long distance cycling and going to the gym. I am reasonably social, but can also appreciate others' needs for personal space. I also like to keep things clean and neat. If you have something you think would suit, let me know - I'd love to take a look!
I am from Melbourne and have lived in a few share houses during my time here while I was studying my undergrad degree and when I was working full time. I am looking for accommodation for a student about to start his Masters degree at ANU. I enjoy cooking, board games, card games, reading, and computer games. I’m generally a quiet, private person but do enjoy socialising and having a few glasses of wine or beer.
Hi, I am 37 years old, Training & Development Specialist. I am respectful of personal space, clean and organised. I love to have meaningful conversations, reading, learning new things, practicing Yoga and exploring nature. Looking for friendly and responsible housemates. Prefer a furnished room with own bathroom in a furnished house/flat and access to gas stove, washing machine, fridge and wifi internet.
Hi, my name is Stephen and I'm moving up to Canberra from Melbourne for work. I'm starting a 6 month contract role in financial services and looking for a place I can call home whilst in Canberra. I'm easy going, organised and friendly. Some of my favourite hobbies include squash, bike riding and vinyl collecting.
Hey there We're Ellie and Lachlan :) Young couple looking for a room either in a sharehouse or by ourselves. We're both friendly, good fun and responsible upstanding full time public servants. Ellie loves her netflix and cacao nibs while Lachlan loves cycling and dominos $5 pizzas. Collectively we don't have much furniture so furnished or unfurnished is OK. Get in touch if you like the sound of us! Ellie & Lachlan
Hi potential flatmate(s), My name is Jim and I am a first-year PhD student conducting research in personalised immunology (mainly autoimmune diseases) at John Curtin School of Medical Research, ANU. I spend most of my daytime in laboratory on weekdays and sometimes on weekends so pretty much like working full time. My hobbies are photography, bushwalking and music (and watching documentaries :D). I am respectful, neat and easy to get along with. I enjoy cooking and sharing food with friends. Having been living in a shared apartment in Braddon, my flatmate is very determined to live with an old friend of him so either I have to move out or he has to find a place for both of them. I would be able to move in June-July. Please feel free to message me if you consider me as a potential flatmate. Cheers, J
Fun, active, lover of (red) wine, good food and yoga. I am a full time lawyer getting a 6 month rotation with my firm in the Canberra office. Would love to find a nice space and good people to live with as my home away from home. In my spare time you'll find me in a boxing or yoga studio, hiking or spending time with my friends. I am very social, but self-sufficient!
Hey ! I’am Vamsi from India. I’d recently been selected to be an exchange student at the ANU to conduct research on Solar cells in partnership with Panasonic Australia. Since I’d be new to Australia , I am looking for a house close to the University. I’d be in Canberra from the 27th of March to The First week of July. I’am a 21 yr. guy looking to add to my International Experience. Hoping to hear from you soon 😊
Hey, my name's Daniel! I'm a 2015 psychology graduate currently working full-time in the public service. I'm looking for a place close to the city, or somewhere near a bus stop. I've got furniture for my room, but can also offer an iron and ironing board, digital piano, and a chest freezer. The place I'm looking for would ideally have a covered parking space, dishwasher, washing machine, and a reasonably-sized bedroom. I am looking to rent for a period of 6-12 months, with a fairly flexible move in date. My ideal housemate/s would be friendly, sociable (but also understanding of personal space), tidy, and of either gender. I believe it's important to have a coffee/beer/dinner every now and then so we wouldn't be complete strangers to each other, but I completely understand if you want your space! Let me know if you're looking for a housemate and I'd be more than happy to have a chat!
NOTICE: I insist on the location I listed online. So if your location is not listed, please don't waste your time. I would work by bike or on foot, no bus. And I insist on a "big" room which can contain a book shelf and big wardrobe for clothes. Sharing bathroom with maximum 1 person. Preferring ensuite room. ---------self-introduction--------- I am a first PhD candidate in the department of computer science of ANU since 17th April 2017. I need move in before 4th May. I came from China and am an easy going person who respects others and responsible for my duties. I am interested in high-tech inventions which my major is involved in. Besides, gym, all kinds of yoga, cooking, reading, traveling, watching movies, and chat are the things I would like to do for relaxing. Embrace multi-culture communication. Btw, I really love pets, especially cats! ---------what I'm looking for--------- I am looking for a long-term quiet place to live. Cause I need reading or coding at home after work. For cooking, I prefer gas instead of electricity. Cause gas brings better Chinese food than electricity. I prefer center heating or at least not too hot or cold. Maximum 300/wk including all rent cost, namely, bills and the internet.
Creative. Relaxed and considerate. Love gardens, leafy suburbs and hikes. From Penrith, Sydney relocated to Canberra to work in public service. Outside of work I write stories, play soccer and jam on the guitar
We are an easygoing, respectful and open minded couple moving from the Netherlands to Canberra, to do a fulltime internship at CSIRO for 6 months. During the week we will be working and in the weekends we would like to explore the area and meet new people:) We have both been living in a housesharing situation for 5-6 years in Amsterdam. We both like sports and being outdoors. Send me a message if you can help us out or want to know more about us!
Hi, I'm a 21 year old female student in my 3rd year of science at ANU. My interests include soccer, snowboarding, reading, weekend adventures (when I can get out of Canberra), and procrasti-cleaning during exam time. I also love animals (especially cats), so if you have pets I'm your gal! I'm looking to move into a relaxed share house that's close(ish) to ANU. I'm a very easy person to live with, having been in share houses for the last two years. I'd like to sign a lease for at least the next year or so. I'm quiet, respectful and clean, but also enjoy catching up with house mates of a night for a chat (definitely not a party girl though, much prefer quiet nights in watching movies). I'm always willing to contribute to cleaning and will never leave areas messy. Please feel free to get in contact with me :) Thanks!
I am looking for a room. I am a middle aged man who is a full time self-published writer and performer. I spend most of my days writing (plus admin and marketing my books) in cafes. I have been a counsellor, cleaner and public servant. I am 'spiritually' minded, for want of a better word. I have been either house-sitting or renting for a few years after the end of a long relationship. The place I was sold. I have temporary accommodation thanks to a lovely friend. I like to meditate, go out to places like The Front Cafe or Smiths, art openings and other things around town. I have a lot of friends of different ages. I like reading and going into the bush and I can cook well. I cannot drive as I have a genetic eye disorder but my brain seems to compensate a lot; so other than driving I am quite functional. I am pretty clean and tidy. I can pretty much talk about anything and I am quite 'chilled.' Also, I have plenty in my bank account to pay rent with, just not enough to buy; I am also on the visual disability pension Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
After 5 years of uni and two degrees I've landed a graduate job (private sector) however its on the other side of the country! So I'm moving to our great nation's capital from Perth at the end of June/early July and need somewhere to live! my budget is around $200-250 per week, less would be preferable and I'd consider more if it includes bills. I've lived out of home for the past 2.5 years so am very used to sharing space with others. I've very house proud and like to have the place looking neat and nicely decorated. I'm coming over with a car and a suitcase so a place with some furnishings is preferable but not essential I can buy whatever I need. I have a lot of clothes and shoes so need a decent wardrobe and probably room for a tall boy and queen bed. I am allergic to cats so thats a no-go, dogs are fine! I don't know a lot of people in Canberra so it is important to me that I get along with those I am living with and my new housemate(s) will be keen to hang out, explore and drink with me. I'm super active, like to run and generally be pretty healthy, I cook a bit too. I like to be social outside the house on the weekends, going for brunch, shopping and other girl stuff. I also like to binge watch tv (OITNB, Rick & Morty, Jane the Virgin, How to get away with murder, the Mindy project, New Girl, Suits etc) I don't watch a lot of movies but when I do they are easy watching chick flicks, rom coms or will Farrell/Seth Rogan type comedy. Likes: chocolate wine cheese a good pub feed eating sleeping being organised not being hungover dogs Dislikes: bugs people asking me to repeat myself then interrupting me after two words with the answer to my question mushrooms being late If you feel I may fit into your household please let me know! and keep in mind I cant move until 30 June
I am an American student coming to Canberra for a summer internship. I'm a pretty easy going dude. I am a pretty active person, I play rugby in the states and will probably be looking to hike, hit the gym, explore the country, and check out Aussie netflix in my free time. I'm a fairly social person; equal parts down to grab a drink or just chill, but also respectful of your space when needed. I'm excited to meet some new people and make new friends, let's make this a summer to remember!
I have just returned from doing a short research course in Vietnam, and I am looking for a place to live while I complete my last year of my bachelor of development studies at ANU. I'm looking for a place close enough to uni so I can start riding again. I don’t want to live in a place where I am just renting the room. I'd prefer a place where I can have chats with my housemates but also who respect my space. I like doing yoga and hiking up mountains. Always keen for a beer or a chill netflix night.
