My name is Lachie, I work full-time for the public service and my current place has just been sold. I only moved to Canberra this year. I'm looking to move into a place around August if possible. I have rental history and am happy to provide a reference. I do my fair share of the housework and am always happy to run errands!!
I am an independent clean and considerate person. happy to spend time on my own and also in the company of others. I have my own jewellery business and during the next few months, I will be on contract at the Canberra Centre until February. I am looking for somewhere to live during this period, preferably close to Civic.
I am moving to Canberra for a full-time job. I am a clean and tidy person, very friendly and easy to get along with. I would like to live in a flat with other young adults who are working full time and can live peacefully together.
Hi, I'll be moving from Brisbane to Canberra to work in the APS in early September 2018. I'm seeking a homely vibe! I'm easy going, clean, respect personal space and for the most part, a quiet housemate. I do love to have a friendly chat over tea with my housemates and eat a meal together every so often. I'm past my clubbing days and prefer daytime social activities over late nights. In my downtime I enjoy getting outdoors (hiking, bike riding, swimming) or doing some painting. If it sounds like we could be a good fit, send me a message :)
My name is Ahmed and I'm 32 years old. I work as an assistant lecturer/research assistant. At the same time I'm a 3rd year PhD student at ANU, studying molecular biology at JCSMR. I'm a very respectful, quiet, clean, responsible, non-smoking and tidy person. At the weekend, I like to enjoy cooking and sharing my food with my housemates. I have been living in Dickson for the past year. Looking for a room reasonably close to ANU. I'm flexible with the duration of the lease and ready to move on the 16th of Sept.
Hey! I’m a final year nursing student at UC and will be staying in Canberra until around May-June next year for some travel before my job. My current awesome roommate has to move so I want to find a room in another house. Pretty introverted and like my time alone but also enjoy hanging out with roommates, having a good chat and having a wine or two. I work in a bar and love going for mountain/lake walks, reading and watching the Office (US version of course). I’ve always enjoyed cleaning the house and am super considerate of who ever I live with so I expect that from others.
Hi I am a 26 year old assistant project manager working with the public service. I am new to Canberra (originally from Sydney) and am looking to find a place with some cool, friendly, like-minded people. I am very easy-going and friendly myself. I'm also neat, tidy, and courteous to my fellow flatmates. My interests include skiing (snow trip anyone?), scuba diving, rock climbing, soccer, and travel. When I'm feeling less adventurous I love a good book, watching TV shows or chilling out with a video game. I'm looking for flatmates with whom I can chill out with and share a home-cooked meal and a beer/wine/coffee/tea/(water?) every once in a while. While I don't have much furniture beyond my own room, I am more than happy for a trip to IKEA to grab and contribute essentials: if things are needed. Hit me up if you're looking to team-up or have a place already and need a fun and down to earth flatmate.
Hi :) I'm a 31yo hairdresser working full-time in the city. I go the gym most mornings and work late during the week, but when you do see me I'm friendly and enjoy a bit of banter. I like being active and enjoy a good hike or ride around the lake on a sunny day. When I'm resting it's usually Netflix, Xbox, or reading. I'm a very considerate and tidy housemate, and respectful of others space/privacy.
I'm easy going, relaxed and outgoing but I like to be organised and tidy. Those in my personal life describe me most as funny and sweet. I'm a young professional who is relatively financially stable. Ideally, I'd love house mates who are sociable and nice people. In my spare time I like to do theatre, exercise, read non-fiction and be creative. Please reply or contact me if you think I'd be a good fit for your house share.
I am an easygoing professional about to start work in the public service. I'm moving from Melbourne. I've lived in share houses for a long time and am very respectful of others and very independent. However, I do enjoy sharing the odd glass of wine or dinner with housemates as well.
I'm a comic artist and I draw mostly everyday. Have you ever had an experience of watching a comic artist drawing life? well now you will! My husband love sports and he coach wrestling. He also wouldn't mind a running company every now and then. We both love to cook, once in a while we do Barbeque. No, not ordinary one, we do Persian BBQ! My Husband is from Iran and I'm Indonesian, so our cooking is the mixture of both. You're welcome to join our drawing-sport-cooking dynamic!
I’m a public servant and have been working in Canberra for 3+ years. Currently on leave and will be back in October 2018. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, playing volleyball and do yoga. Looking for a room to stay for 9 months or more. I am respectful of people's need for privacy but also enjoy the occasional chat. I tend to keep my place clean and tidy. Feel free to message me if you have any questions :) Cheers Jenny
Hi I'm a 42 year old professional guy, I run a UK software company and looking to move to Canberra to support some of our customers in AU and also see my daughters who live here with their mum (long story). I'm currently staying in an AirBnB place in Reid, but need to sort out something more permanent. I'm an easy going liberal. Keep my self to my self, though happy to mix and chat. I like movies, reading crime fiction and talking with interesting people. Not a party goer though love to chat with interesting people and generally friendly and easy to get on with. I work form home and don't have much stuff. I like a tidy and calm house and am very respectful of others and their space. I'm a lover of the outdoors and likely out running, walking or cycling (when I get a bike over here) when I'm not working.... working from home means I need to get a out a bit! I like to cook, especially for others, so occasional shared meals are cool. My daughters (age 6 and 10) are at school in Reid and might come over after school or on weekends sometimes. They're lovely girls, but if you can't stand children then we're probably not best flatmates. I'd ideally like a furnished, good sized room in Reid, Braddon, Civic area.... Finding the right people to share with can be harder than finding the right place, so definitely up for a team up to look for the right place if you reckon we could make food housemates. Totally understand that getting on is important, so happy to meet for a coffee or whatever to check before committing to anything. Anyway - if any of that sounds OK, then please consider me for a housemate. Thanks Stuart
Hi, I am from India, and I am going to join ANU as an astrophysics PhD student. I like making lots of friends, and I loved living in shared hostel during my undergraduate years. I play the guitar. I am up for casual conversations, board games, movies, and always ready for football matches and weekend treks.
I'm looking for a nice home to share with someone equally as considerate, tidy and quiet at night. I'm a working professional and recently moved to Canberra. I'm reliable with rent & bills, I cook occasionally and keep busy with hobbies and keep fit. I need a LUG or drive way for my car, a largish room for my queen bed, and space for my desk. I'm hoping to share with another professional with standards. I can't live with night shift workers or students sorry. I'm open to an occasional film, drink or share a meal and chat.
I am a undergrad student, currently in my third year, at ANU studying a double degree of Math and IT from Hangzhou, China. Before coming to Australia to study, I stayed in Japan for two years, which taught me a great deal in terms of other cultures and how I can learn and respect them. When I am free, I enjoy listening to music, , reading, cooking, and comedy (with Dave Chappelle being my favourite).
I'm a 21 year old male, studying mental health nursing at ACU. I work at Calvary hospital a couple days a week. In my spare time I like to get out for a mountain bike ride or wander up Majura (I currently live in Hackett). I go to the EPIC farmers market and the bulk food store for groceries cause I kinda hate coles and woolies. I love to grow veggies and muck about in the backyard and I know how to compost well. I am an avid recycler and try to get second hand stuff. I also have a daily yoga practice that stops my head from flying off in the wind :) I live in a tidy, minimalist fashion. I own a couple of push bikes, a car, a bed and a stereo. I am a respectful person, I pick up after myself and keep my things organized. I'm semi handy in terms of fixing things around the house. I lean towards being introverted, but I am a social person. I am mostly vegan but I am not strict or annoying about it, and I'd happily join in to cook dinners that aren't vegan. It's just when I cook on my own its vegan.
Hi, I am born and bred in Adelaide working as a professional and looking at taking a contract in Dickson. I am single, 34 years of age, social, outgoing, love to dance, enjoy exercise, respectful and am easy to get along with.
I work full-time in the city, and have a beautiful little dog (Ziggy). Looking for a pet friendly place in the inner north, and would be happy to start a new place if people are interested. I am a social person and enjoy cooking and having a glass of wine on the couch, but also enjoy my own space.
Full time trade and working in Hopso on Friday and Saturday night. Vegetarian that likes to cook, easy going happy to have a chat but also value's privacy and other people's space. I am rarely at home due to sporting commitments Clean and tidy :)
I am moving to Canberra to pursue my PhD in Astrophysics at ANU. I am an Indian citizen. I am fairly flexible and easygoing. I have lived in a hostel in India for 4 years before I spent my last year traveling the world for different projects. I have lived for 3 months in Boston (US) and Canberra and then I spent the last few months working on a project in England. I have lived with different kinds of people from different backgrounds and countries (male students, female students, female professionals and families with kids) and all my stays have been really wonderful. I am very passionate about science and research. I am equally involved in social and outreach activities wherever I have lived. I like to have a drink or two here and there and like to socialize, binge watch Netflix and read books. Ping me if you would like to talk to me. References available on request!
