Hi there, I just got a job in Melbourne over the summer (Late November/Early December to Late February) so I need a place to stay whilst I'm down from Canberra. I'll be working for the government during the week, and possibly doing some hospitality shifts on the weekends as well. I've been living in sharehouses for years so I'm well versed in the art of keeping clean, paying bills & rent, not being loud, and being a generally decent human being. I'm a bit of a foodie, I like to cook and go out to eat and/or drink, and I enjoy copious amounts of coffee. When I'm not working or out and about I like to relax, maybe watch a bit of TV, always down for a Netflix binge or a Harry Potter marathon. Anyway, if any of this makes me seem like your kind of housemate, then hit me up.
I am a very outgoing and adaptable person. I love meeting people from different places and sharing experiences. I just arrived to Australia from Spain with a work and holiday visa so I am looking for accommodation and a job and I am opened to anything :)
Thomas and I have been renting for the last year at $300 a week with no problems. Previously to this I lived with Janna for a year with no problems and Thomas with Jali with no problems. All of us from rural NSW, looking to move to Melbourne for further study and more opportunities. I just finished full time study and plan on getting full time work for a little bit before going back to studying, Thomas will also be looking for full time work along side with Janna and Jali. All of us are fairly nerdy 😬. Thomas and Jali enjoy a good game of MTG, and love playing video games. Janna loves Fortnite and playing Pokemon Go. I am a little bit of an all rounder but love sci fi movies particularly Dr Who, I also really love getting out of the house and exploring as well as going to the beach.
Finnish girl who has a lot of stories to tell, chill and funny who enjoys chatting but respects everyone’s privacy. Looking for a place I could call home, something more bohemian, I love plants and vintage furnitures!
Hey, We are 2 German backpackers who are searching for a shareflat with some other people from all over the world! We are open-minded and interested in many things, specially to get in touch with other people. we are gonna stay in Melbourne at least until the rest of the year and trying to travel up the eastcoast afterwards. In the daily life, we both have a job but are interested to do something with our flatmates in the evening or at the weekend! Thank you! Hannes and Jannik
Hi! I'm Héctor, Me and my girlfriend were both living our lives in Barcelona until I realized that this was the last year to apply for the Work and Holiday Visa (max 31yo), so we decided to pause our lives and accept the challenge. I am an electronic engineer and I am very interested in music of all kinds, but in particular electronic music. In Barcelona I usually collect and play records and I'm starting to make my own productions. With her we are united by sport, we both love playing basketball, running and cycling. Maybe we also surfed, because she was surfing in Argentina but in Barcelona there are no waves, so she has promised to teach me in Australia :) Our adventure begins on December 12, which is when we land in Melbourne and it is the date from which we are looking for accommodation.
I am originally from the states but have been living in Australia for the past 3 years, moving to Melbourne from Newcastle for a full time job. Love all things food related. I am quite social but also appreciate alone time, love movies and staying active.
I'm in the process of moving down to Melbourne from Brisbane, i start in my new role in the first week of December. Looking for friendly, sociable and easygoing roommates. I'm fun, easygoing, clean, respectful and not looking for a party house. I work full time in financial planning and have a very cute ginger cat. I like being social and going out to bars and live music spots.
Hi there! I'm a 29-year-old professional wrapping up my PhD and moving to Melbourne from Adelaide for new full-time permanent position on St Kilda road. I'm currently looking for a sunny bright room with enough space for a double bed, desk and chair, preferably furnished and preferably with an ensuite, nearby St. Kilda road or close to public transport. I'd also prefer bills to be included in the rent. I'm tidy, hardworking and determined but also friendly and easy going. I've grown up and lived in five countries and I enjoy exploring new places and experiences. I enjoy jogging, swimming, camping, soccer and cycling. I also love cats. While I'll be focused on a new job, that won't stop me from being a social flatmate who is keen to chill out and relax. Always respectful of space and privacy, clean and willing to help out and listen when it's required. I enjoy having a place with the right atmosphere where we eagerly look forward to coming back to at the end of a long day Looking forward to meeting you and checking out the place! :)
Hi potential roomies! I'm Simon, a 29 year old computer technician who also works a day job as a phone/tablet technician by day. But I build a lot of specialised computers at home so thats a bit of info you should know. I can be funny and extraverted when you get to know me. In terms of drinking and partying those days are way over for me....that said I don't mind a cold beer on a good occasion. I am seeking a place for at least 12 months. Regards, Simon.
Moved back to Melbourne after living on the Gold Coast for 8 years. I will be starting a job a Crown so I am looking for a place to live around the city that will be convenient to get to and from work. I like my own space but also always down for a chat or a drink. I am excited to be able to go to footy games again as AFL isnt exactly loved in QLD. I have an active lifestyle but also love to binge Netflix/Stan and play my PS4.
**WARNING! CONTENT INCLUDES GUT BUSTING LAUGHTER AND SOLID CONVERSATION** Oh Hey, didn't see you there... You can call me A! (Got tired of people shortening my name to Aids, despite my infectious personality hahaha) I'm super down to earth. I live by my morals of integrity inclusive of authenticity, honesty, open minded acceptance of people from all walks of life. Super flexible and drama free. I'm a nerd, a dork, and am the king of Dad jokes and innuendos hahahaha I adapt to vibes, I can be the centre of attention or can recluse into my shell. *Shrugs* The perks of being an ambivert I guess. I keep to my financial arrangements like clockwork and am fast advancing my career in a company responsible for pedestrian control for the level crossing projects. I don't have any preferences to the location. I'm an avid Hawthorn Hawks supporter, to the point of if I was to lose a limb in a horrific accident I'm sure I would bleed Brown and Gold (Don't tell my doctor please :p) I'm super big on self improvement and evolution when the resources allow me to. I've recently started up at the gym again and HOPEFULLY be looking to get in to Muay Thai in 2019. All in all I'm just a positive, go getter who's now ready for the next chapter of life. If I sound like the right type of addition to your tribe I'd love to hear from you :) -A
Hi! I'm Callum a 25 year old traveller on a WHV from England. I'm looking for a place until the end of Feb, then I'll be off to do my regional work. My current landlord requires me to move out as he is due to renovate the property. I have been given until the 05/12/2018 to find a new place. I work full-time 9-5 as a property claims consultant, so I will be fairly quiet during the week. I'm always ready to enjoy a pint or 2 at the weekend though! I am a tidy individual, and more than willing to pull my weight around the house.
Hi everyone. My name is Sergio, 35yo Italian guy. I am arriving to Melbourne on November 26th holding a student visa. I am looking for a long term room with quite and nice flatmates, I am NOT looking for a party house with unhealthy people, house for me is a great moment to relax and recharge myself. This does not mean that I am a cave man: I am sociable, respectful, very clean, I practice yoga and I love to talk about deep life topics with a glass of red wine. I like sports and nature and simple things of life. I already lived in Melbourne between 2014 and 2016. I do NOT smoke. If these informations suit you, I will be happy to hearing from you (WhatsApp ONLY because I am still in Italy)
Hi there! I'm a Spanish girl looking for accommodation. I've recently moved into Melbourne to study a master's at Swinburne Uni and work part-time. I can define myself as an independent person wich like to socialize and learn new things from people. Also, I have a creative profile due to my young career as a graphic designer :) I would love to share with you stories and experiences while drinking some beers or just coffee or tea! However, I need to have some private space too (as anyone else I think). Furthermore, I'm clean and responsible. If my profile seems to be interesting to you, just contact me, please! Cheers, Maria ;)
Hi, My name is Henrique. I’m 35 years old. I am looking for a quiet house to live. I’m organised, responsible and clean. I work mostly in hospitality and study fitness so I am rarely home. My ideal share house would be close to the city and living with other working/studying, like minded people who value a quiet, clean house over parties and constant guests.
I'm from the UK, currently living in Melbourne and wanting to find a home and also a group of friends! I enjoy wine (most alcohol really), food, music, glitter and having a good chat. I am looking for a house with a good atemosphere, cooking, watching films and drinking together! Ed works full time as a mechanic and spends his spare time in the gym. He is partial to a drink or two at the weekends but is very sensible during the week.
Hey there, I'm South African, 37 yo, been in Melbourne about a month now. I'll be here until the middle of next year at the very least, hopefully longer. I'm currently working as a bicycle tech while mulling over more career orientated work options: either a PhD or a position in an environmental consultancy role. About me: My background is in the natural sciences, working as an ecologist at the University of Cape Town. I've been on a sabbatical for the last year, fulfilling a dream of cycling up Africa. The second part of the dream was to live in a new city for a couple of years, so here I am! I'm excited to be here and looking for a place to settle so I can get properly stuck into a new life here. I'd consider myself easy going, uncomplicated, neat and tidy, and totally happy to pull my weight around the house. I wouldn't say I'm the life of the party, but I can wiggle my extremities if the mood strikes me. Honestly, I'm more comfortable at home with friends, good food and conversation...and maybe a board game, some friendly banter. I enjoy a drink and good conversation and I'm partial to a good book or series. Don't mind a bit of cooking either. I'm happiest outside though, doing something active. Specific outdoor interests include rock climbing, hiking, cycling, surfing, kayaking, camping etc. I'm keen to get involved in those activities, with others, as I settle into a Melbourne routine. Hope I get to meet you :) Sam
My partner and I are looking for a room to rent preferably around St Kilda or south Yarra with a budget of around $1000 a month negotiable. I work at a bar in Prahran and my partner works offshore in WA and is rarely home. Both quiet, clean and considerate with easy to get along with personalities. We have a car that we would require parking for and my partner is allergic to dogs so houses with inside pets won’t be suitable for us. He flies to work on Friday for 5 weeks so looking to move in before the end of the week if possible. Feel free to message or call me for any other questions or to arrange a meeting
I'm moving up from Tassie to study. I am really laid back, easy to get along with and keep a tidy space. I run obsessively and keep to a fairly clean diet although I can, and will, definitely sink beers if the situation calls for it. Am studying at Swinburne so need to be close by or close to a train or tram station for easy access. Am really looking forward to getting out of Tassie and can't wait to meet a heap of new people in the process of finding a place! Cheers.
