I'm an international student commencing a course at UQ this Feb and have just finished my bachelor degree in Adelaide (so will be moving to Brisbane). I'm a clean, easy going person, love to be engaged in housemate vibes but also appreciate some alone time for studying. Love cooking painting and being active. Hoping to find a furnished room as it would be a hassle to ship all my furniture interstate.
Hi there. I would make a great flatmate as I have an excellent rental history. I always pay my rent and bills on time and I am neat and tidy. I am easy going and like to have a social drink on the weekends. I am usually pretty quiet during the week, but a chat and a wine after work is always nice. I currently live on the Sunny Coast, but I am moving to Brisbane as I have just accepted a new full time job. I am a professional working in the finance industry. Ideally I would very much prefer my own bathroom. I am an animal lover and OK to live with pets. My budget (to hopefully include bills) is $200 per week, but I can stretch this a bit if needed. At this stage, my proposed move date to Brisbane is the week beginning the 13th of February. Thanks for reading :)
I am a fulltime working professional , I enjoy quiet time , reading books soul music and quiet get togethers with friends , I usually go to bed at 10.00 , on weekends I like to clean up the house and organise myself for the weekahead. I can be friendly and give you your space as well, I am very helpful and wouldn't mind sharing household chores. please feel free to call for any queries.
I'm currently studying at UQ St Lucia so preferably i would like something reasonably close to the campus. I'm a rather quiet person who spends most of their time studying, watching movies or seeing friends. I enjoy nearly all sports and i'm quite active myself. I drink socially and do not smoke. Apologies for the photo it didn't turn out well at all, i'm the one on the left (obviously).
I'm a new full-time student from Dubai starting at UQ in Semester 1, 2017. I will be studying Environmental Management. I was studying in the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before. I'm the one wearing the purple/pink sweater in the picture. If you can't pronounce my name, don't worry, almost no one can at first, just call me Abhi! I'm super tidy and clean (won't mind if it's not), and pretty good at cooking too. Easy going, and always ready to help a friend. I am respectful towards everyone and will give you your privacy. I like my down time to focus and study. Doesn't mean I don't like to chill out or have fun. Always down to watch a movie or binge watch a tv show. I love going out and playing sports. I play football (Soccer), badminton and Quidditch (no, i'm not kidding, it's a pretty physical sport!), and good at picking up other ones too. Love spontaneous adventures and ready to walk/hike any-and-everywhere. I would love to live with any of you amazing people out there, so if you have a room to offer or are looking to team up, hit me up :D Cheers, Abhi
Hey! I'm Emily, 20 years old and a student. I study at QUT and am a second year Secondary Education student majoring in History. I work part time at an Outside School Hours Care in Moggill and at Suncorp Stadium as Bar Staff. I'm friendly and quiet but still happy to be social with my new roomies. I've lived in share houses for four years and have shared with lots of different people, all ages, genders and nationalities. I'm an animal lover so pets are no issue for me, I'd say they're encouraged :) I'm looking for a place with easy access to public transport (specifically train stations or the 444 bus) and an unfurnished room is a must as I have a queen sized bed, desk and other miscellaneous bits of furniture and preferably somewhere air-conditioned because I am a wuss and this Brisbane heat is getting to me. I've joined a gym and attempt to go often but it usually ends in completing my Gilmore Girls binge on Netflix, my favourite pastime. I'm way too excited for Game of Thrones to return this year and roommates who watch it with me are encouraged to message me. Bonus points if you love Harry Potter. I can be a little flexible with the move date and am happy to overlap for a week or two if the right place comes along, If you want to know anything else just shoot me a message, I'm more than happy to answer any of your questions :) I'm happy to live with people in their 20s/early 30s, male or female houses don't bother me, students would be great so we can all suffer together at exam time! Not looking to share a bedroom though. (The easiest way to contact me is through flatmates rather than a phone call as I'm often working or won't pick up unknown numbers)
First year university student moving to Brisbane from Far North Queensland to start studying biomedical science at UQ. Just looking for a place, preferably furnished, where I can stay until June when I m going to be moving in with my sister. I don't mind parties but tend not to host them (so don't worry about that) and I spend a lot of time locked in my room trying force myself to study. I am however a sociable person and do enjoy a good discussion and can cook a few basics (I'm still learning). I consider myself mature and responsible, and will aim to keep the place tidy. I'm fairly friendly and outgoing but respect other people's privacy. I love to read, try to keep fit (but goodness knows I lack the motivation), and enjoy a variety of activities from hiking to binge watching Netflix. I'm very open minded and would love a flatmate or two who are nice and easy going.
I'm a 22 year old student at QUT, and I work part time in a call centre in Spring Hill. In my spare time, you'll find me listening to music, reading, out with friends, keeping active and watching movies. I'm a quiet, considerate, clean and friendly person who doesn't mind a good chat with his housemates but respects the space that people need. I am reliable in regards to paying rent/bills as I utilise direct debt to ensure everything is on time. My move date is flexible if needed.
Hi there, I'm Klowie and I will be attending UQ St Lucia starting Feb 27 with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science. I am easy going and very devoted to my studies so I won't disrupt the household, however I am always up for a good chat or friendly banter anytime. I would ideally like to move in sometime early Feb and would prefer a majority female house. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I grew up on a cattle farm, but moved to Brisbane for study. I'm healthy and relaxed but studious. Would love to share with supportive, fun people who are happy to hang out. I come with a 12 year old dalmatian, so pet friendly is a must! She is an inside dog, but very well trained. I enjoy gardening and wine and tea. In August/September I'm leaving for exchange in Canada, but I'll be back in early 2017 and would be happy to move back in if the room is available. Toowong is my first choice, but happy to move to another suburb nearby.
Hi! My name is Kieran. FIRST THINGS FIRST (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ!): 1) This ad posting is VERY LONG and I've done that DELIBERATELY. I do this to "Weed out the Tyre Kickers" (as it's known/called in Online Marketing Circles). Of course the "Tyre Kickers" are bad flatmates! 2) This ad may cut-out for you (being so long). If so, simply send me me a brief message with your email and I will send you this as a word attachment for easy viewing. :) And Don't Worry I will NEVER spam you! 3) If you DON'T WANT TO READ THE WHOLE THING THEN JUST PLEASE UNDERSTAND MY TWO BASIC REQUIREMENTS BEFORE MESSAGING: a) I need air con (ideally in the bedroom), and b) I need reliable (without major dropouts) and fast internet connection. WHY READ IT IN FULL? (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ!): - Well let's face it you never really know until you start "Sharing" with someone. We all know that!! - But why not take out some of the GUESS-WORK? Take out some of the RUSSIAN ROULETTE?? The Random DART THROWING at the Board??? - Reading my ad (or document) in full may bring you closer to finding the ideal flatmate :) - And the alternative? It's much closer to Russian Roulette in my opinion. You can go back to the next ad and ask the same old questions...It's all so COMMON...Are you clean and tidy? (who would admit to being not)...Are you social? (who would admit to being a hermit crab)... Are you easy to live with? (who would admit to being a/the next axe murderer!!). DON'T JUDGE ME (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ!): - As a flatmate based off the writing style/tone of this post. - As explained (in this post/ad) I'm an extremely relaxed and calm individual. I'm VERY EASY to live with. - Being a Writer (for a living) I many different writing styles/tones and I have chosen to adapt this style (with this level of detail) in the hope of attracting the perfect place and flatmate! Let's Cut Straight to the Chase (which is what you want)... I'M NOT (PLEASE READ - ANSWERS YOUR MAIN QUESTIONS): - In-your face type person. In fact I'm the complete opposite! I'm friendly and social but I tend to do "my own thing" in the main. This is just my personality. I AM (PLEASE READ - ANSWERS YOUR MAIN QUESTIONS): - Single/Straight/Mature/Non-smoking 36 year old Professional Working Male. - Looking to Share with one Other (unless you have a place that is very Special- hint hint) Professional Working Person (sorry no couples). - EXTREMELY reliable. Rent and bills will always be paid on time or in advance. I will supply you with references from my current landlord and previous landlords (if required). - 100% Without a Doubt Looking to Live somewhere for at Least the Next 12 months (probably Longer) and I am more than happy to Sign a/the Lease. - Calm, Relaxed and Laid-Back Individual. Yes that's right. I am the complete opposite of someone that is highly strung. That's what you want right? I seek likewise. And no that doesn't mean we can't hold an intelligent conversation ;) - Very Clean and Tidy but Definitely not Obsessive. "Obsession" is not a good trait to have in your life. It's what pushes bodybuilders to take steroids...it's what forces people to count every single calorie (yeah I used to do this lol)...it's why people with OCD count in their head. If the picture is not clear enough now I'll make it CRYSTAL. If you are "Obsessive" about anything (particularly cleaning) then this probably won't work. In regards to chores (like you no doubt) I restrict these to around the meal times. I have weekly chores I like to do each Friday afternoon (yes nice for some working from home lol) so that the flat/unit/property is nice and clean for the weekend! I also have monthly chores (but lets net go there and put you to sleep) ;) If you have or are open to getting a cleaner then I will consider that too. But I'm fine either way. - Moving from my Current Place in Sandgate because there is no Air-Con or Ceiling Fans! (I WILL NEED AIR CON - PLEASE READ FURTHER BELOW). - Writer (as mentioned earlier) and Online Marketer for a living. I have a VERY stable income and have been doing freelancing (writing/online marketing) work from home for the last 5 years (that's right, it's NOT new). Work references can easily be supplied. Better still, just check my LinkedIn Profile below! I work from home between the hours of 8:30am-5pm Monday to Friday. I divide my time equally between writing and marketing. That's around 20 hours of writing a week and 20 hours of working on a large marketing project (which I'm not getting paid for yet - but my time will come lol). DO NOT WORRY I AM QUITE NOT LOUD if you home during house hours. I'm a writer (firstly) and a marketer (secondly). In Plain English: I'm not on the phone (or listening to music) really at all as my work is obviously writing based. It is only every now and then when I get a new Client. Look let's just be honest. The ideal scenario is that you would be at work (in the main) during the week between those rough hours :) I CAN (PLEASE READ - ANSWERS YOUR MAIN QUESTIONS): - Give your PETS attention (if you have them and are at work) during my working day (my breaks). I like animals and can do this :) - Mind your PETS (including walking) and look after your belongings if you are away on Business/Holiday/Weekend Breaks a lot! You might be in a bind right now but I could be the SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEM. - Sign for your registered mail (during the week) and save you a lot of time lining up at the post office on Saturday Morning! I WILL (PLEASE READ - ANSWERS YOUR MAIN QUESTIONS): - Move in at WHATEVER date suits you! That's right. I want to move sooner rather than later but I'm in no rush. I'm not on a lease currently and can move whenever (and I mean the exact day/date that works for you). - ABSOLUTELY 100% WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT NEED AIR-CON!! Surely having either air-con or ceiling fans should be compulsory (like insulation) in Queensland! Yes, I'm not a Queenslander (originally) if you haven't guessed already. And No this does not mean I will use the air con all day and night! I will use it to be comfortable and in moderation. I'm more than happy to chip in for the extra electricity bill if I use it more (I would in fact over-compensate you 100%). - Consider a SPACIOUS GRANNY FLAT/SPACIOUS STUDIO (if you have one on offer) provided it has Air-Con and that I can get solid/reliable (without dropouts) internet connection. It would have to be of a decent size though as I work from home during the week. I WANT (PLEASE READ - ANSWERS YOUR MAIN QUESTIONS): - Place with decent size kitchen and living room but this is not high on my hit list! I would much rather have a bigger bedroom (as explained below). I'D LIKE (PLEASE READ - ANSWERS YOUR MAIN QUESTIONS): - Flatmate this is just very calm, relaxed and laid-back. Simple as that. A bit of intelligent conversation doesn't go astray either ;) - Ensuite or Separate Bathroom (but not essential). - Ceilings fans are always good (in addition to air con). I'D LOVE (PLEASE READ - ANSWERS YOUR MAIN QUESTIONS): - Place that is very open/bright. I lived/worked in London 5 years and know all about the cold, rain and the DARKNESS!! I'm definitely more productive/efficient/creative when operating in a bright/open space. I NEED (PLEASE READ - ANSWERS YOUR MAIN QUESTIONS): - Decent (and I mean DECENT) sized bedroom. This should fit a queen size bed (ideally) and standard size desk (definitely). There should be a bit of a room to move too! Remember guys this is not only my bedroom but my "Creative Working Space." I'm NOT part of the corporate working world now. I've considered renting office space but I can't justify the cost at this stage in my life. I'M NOT LOOKING FOR (PLEASE READ - ANSWERS YOUR MAIN QUESTIONS): - Place that is miles (more than 15 minutes walk for me) from PUBLIC TRANSPORT. I won't have a car for at least the next 3-6 months and so nothing further has to be said! - Place that is miles (more than 15 minutes walk for me) from any type of SHOPS (groceries etc). - Place that is miles from ANY GYM (more than 15 minutes walk for me). - Place with LOTS OF LAWN and GARDEN to be maintained. Unless you love doing this of course! A little bit might be OK. In summer the maintenance just becomes too much. - PARTY HOUSE or NOISY ONE. I need the peace and quiet most of the time. And no I don't mean "Church Quiet." I live in society too lol ;) I'M LOOKING FOR (PLEASE READ - ANSWERS YOUR MAIN QUESTIONS): - Place that is 12-15 minutes walk max to TRAIN STATION/SHOPS/GYM/S. Buses are good but prefer trains. With Shops I mean groceries. - AIR CONDITIONED place. Ideally in all main rooms. I understand it's expensive and I don't plan to use it much but I need it to be comfortable during the day and on briefly at night to get to sleep. Don't worry I will over-compensate you (when the bill comes in) for my usage. - RELIABLE (no dropouts in main) and FAST (doesn't have to be lightning!) INTERNET connection. My income depends on this. At my current property there has been problems with the connection at times which is a real negative. To summarise: I'm looking for RELIABILITY (UP-TIME) over speed (but of course the speed must be reasonable). - PARKING (either reliable street parking or even better lock up garage). I will get a car eventually!! - PARTLY FURNISHED (TV, Fridge/Freezer, Washing Machine at least). I don't mind chipping in for other stuff. For my bedroom I have a standard size desk and will buy a queen size bed if the room doesn't have one. That's all the furniture I have! All the rest is clothes. So if you are selling anything then I might be interested :) OPTIONAL READING - LEARN (NOT GUESS) MORE ABOUT YOUR TRUE FLATMATE Now for the Extremely Boring Nitty Gritty Minute Detail Part! Lol OK I'm joking about Nitty Gritty!! But Why the Detail? I ask you WHY NOT?? 1) Think of the hundreds (if not thousands of dollars) you may potentially have to spend if you choose the wrong flatmate based of: a) Putting a basic ad up and HOPING for the best. b) Just asking them a few STANDARD questions at the viewing. c) Going off their DEMEANOR and what they LOOK like. 2) And no I'm not just talking about absolute worst case scenarios like damage to your property. Yeah that can happen (but it's pretty rare - you have to assume most people are good people). a) I'm talking about advertising costs and just lost rental income. b) Not to mention your precious valuable time wasted! YOU CAN NEVER EVER PUT A DOLLAR FIGURE ON THIS!! OPTIONAL READING - LEARN (NOT GUESS) MORE ABOUT YOUR TRUE FLATMATE - I have recently done some exploring around Brisbane suburbs (without a car - as I don't have one now but will look to buy in next 6 months) and found that the "Listed Preferred Suburbs" best fit my requirements. - I will consider the areas of Nundah, Toombul, Sherwood, Oxley, Fairfield, Auchenflower, Taringa, Toowong, Indooroopilly, Mitchelton, Sunnybank, Sunnybank Hills, Bulimba (maybe wishful thinking) and Hamilton (most definitely wishful thinking). - These suburbs (depending on the location of the property) meet most of my criteria. Please give me a shout if you have something in those areas! - For other suburbs it would want to be SOMETHING SPECIAL!! - Everything comes down to the place and of course I want to be able to gel and live comfortably with you :) I'll just know straight away when I see the place and meet you. I'm very much an instinct person (like most of us). OPTIONAL READING - LEARN (NOT GUESS) MORE ABOUT YOUR TRUE FLATMATE - BIT ABOUT ME: - I like the gym (first thing in the morning), walks (near the water if I can), tennis (now and again), football (on TV), admiring nature (whenever I can), travelling (every so often) reading (daily for work and before bed), writing (for work and pleasure), self-improvement (generally), online marketing (work), restaurants (many), socialising (mainly on weekends) and coffee (in small doses). - I'm a social/friendly person but I'm definitely more on the quiet side. I'm not big on TV (in one place I didn't even own a TV lol) at all so don't expect me to join you on the couch watching it. I don't mind the news and a bit of sport though. I just find you learn more by reading. - I do all of my socialising with friends outside of the flat/property but I 100% don't mind if you have people over. I'm not one for dinner parties but go for it!! - I'm not a vegetarian. I cook my own meals as have my own diet I need to follow. Of course there may be a time where a meal or take-away could be shared. - I'm a clean and tidy person and expect likewise. - I'm straight and single currently. I'm too focused on my online business at the moment to pursue anything. - I'm open to living with people of all cultures and sexuality. - I have lived and worked in Sydney (4 years) London (5 years) and Melbourne (3 years) previously. OPTIONAL READING - LEARN (NOT GUESS) MORE ABOUT YOUR TRUE FLATMATE - MY WEEK DAY SCHEDULE: - I'm up each day at 5am (always) and go to bed at 9pm (98% of the time) in the evening. I shoot for eight but settle for around 7 hours sleep! - I'm extremely quiet when I get up at the time. I simply get up, have my morning coffee and head to the local gym. I find it sets up my whole day :) - Then I'll simply come home (from the gym) and have my breakfast and then do some morning chores (quietly if you are in bed). - By 8:00am (yeah I like to relax in the morning not rush) I'll go into my bedroom/office/creative space (whatever you want to call it lol) and do some pleasure/work reading or generally relax (depending on my work schedule for the day). - Then between the hours of 8:30am-5pm I'm working solidly (with breaks - yes including patting your dog or cat ;)). - 5pm-6pm: I will go for a wander/stroll/walk/jog/run (whatever I feel like). - 6:30pm-8pm: I will have dinner and watch a bit of TV (news or whatever is on - I'm not fussy). - 8pm-9pm: I ALWAYS (and I mean always) unplug/tune-out and minimise technology usage completely. Just read (mostly non-fiction). - 9pm: Bed!! Lol. All pretty structured right? Well these times are NOT ALWAYS STRICT. DON'T WORRY I'VE NEVER BEEN ONE FOR THE ARMY. I use them more as guidelines (but this will give you A GREAT idea as to who you would be living with and when you might see me etc etc). OPTIONAL READING - LEARN (NOT GUESS) MORE ABOUT YOUR TRUE FLATMATE - MY WEEKEND SCHEDULE: - Like Most of us I like to unwind and generally relax on weekends :) - I still get up early ( around 6am) but I do stay up later and don't have such a set/regimented/structured day planned! - I'm more a "go-with-the-flow" type of person when it comes to socialising on weekends. Yeah I keep a strict diary for my work but not for social engagements :) - I have a small group of friends in Brisbane (as still quite new to the city). - On weekends I like to get out where possible. For example gym on a Saturday. Lunch/Movie/Dinner with a friend. I might meet up with my youngest sister (I have 3) too. - I'm not the sort of person that will go out for a whole day though. It's generally for half a day or maybe 3/4 of the day (max). Lol I'm just telling this so you know that I will be around a bit on weekends. I'm working on a online marketing project (which I'm passionate about) and so I will spend some time in my room working on that. You might say why work on the wkend? Well for me it's not really work as I'm passionate about it. It's more fun :) I also have a plan and don't always plan to be doing this on wkends! STILL WITH ME??? - We are finished now Lol. FINALLY YOU SAY!! - But at least now you have a much BETTER IDEA as to the person you would be living with! - I'm sorry but I've never been a fan of just throwing a dart at the dartboard and hoping for the best. You need more precision than that if you want to attract the right flatmate (or anything else you want in life). Nothing in life is random despite lotto numbers (despite what you believe). TAKE THE NEXT STEP!!! 1) Please send me a brief (lol not this long) message or text if you have something that will fit my main criteria or if you have any questions for me. 2) I am very responsive to messages (outside of work hours - I do have time on my breaks though) and just to repeat I currently have a place where I can leave at any time. 3) Please avoid calling me (about your place) between the hours of 8:30am-5pm (my work hours). If you have to then please just leave a voicemail and I will get back to you. Calling outside these times is perfectly fine :) FINAL NOTE: - Messages (from property owners) that don't meet my basic requirements (i.e. no air con or not near public transport) will be ignored (it's a long post but seriously just skim read guys - you do it each and every day!). - No hard feelings if I don't respond :) Thanks for your time :) Kieran NOTE: I may be interested in Teaming-Up (and finding a place) but just with one other person (no couples) and you would need to have (or invest) in the majority of the furniture. Don't worry I'd be willing to chip in too :)
I'm simple and easy going person and want to live in silent but sometimes fun and exciting environment. I like to explore new places and learn new skills and cultures. Let me know if you have fit place for me. Waiting to see you. Thanks.
Hi there We're an easy-going, young couple looking for a place for mid to long term stay, I work full-time and my girlfriend is a student. Currently my girlfriend is living in Sydney and will be relocating to Brisbane to study industrial design. Our ideal situation would be a quiet place with maximum one or two roommates. My girlfriend will be moving on the 29th of January, so we are hoping to have somewhere by then.
Hi I'm David, I'm looking for a room to stay in long term in the UQ area in order to start studying in Semester 1 of 2017. I'm fairly open to moving dates as long as it's before the 20th of February. I'll be honest with you, I'm not too picky as to where I live, just as long as it's close to UQ, I'm planning on spending more time outside than in, so as long as it's a place to keep my things, wash clothing and sleep, I'm all set. Unfurnished rooms are acceptable as I plan to eventually furnish my own room, but Ideally a decent bed and either clothes rack or wardrobe would be ideal, again, not too picky. I'm interested in and love cooking, so if one of the household chores includes this I'm more than happy to pull my weight. It also goes without saying I'll do my bit when it comes to combined expenses/chores etc... If you have something that fits what I'm after I'd prefer you call me over messaging me through flatmates as I'm more likely (certain) to see it. Thanks!
I am really easygoing, happy to do my own thing but also friendly. I have been working overseas as a live-in nanny for two years so I'm used to being tidy and respectful of someone else's home. I love to travel, meet new people, watch musicals and go running. I will be commencing study at UQ in March and would like to move to Brisbane by early February, but I'm pretty flexible so long as I find the right place. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, I'm looking forward to meeting my new housemates :)
27 year-old journalism student at UQ searching for housemates around my age to live with who are fun, independent and socially like-minded. Although I work crazy hours as well as study through the week, I'm always up for being social on weekends. I'd like to think I'm well-travelled having lived in the United States for close to 10 months just recently. Look forward to hearing from you soon! Cheers, Rhodezy
Hi, I'm a professional working in the Brisbane CBD looking to find someone to share with one or two others in a central location. I'd prefer to meet someone to find a place together, but happy to move into an existing property if the fit is right. Selling points for Michael include: - Clean and tidy, no stranger to a vacuum cleaner; - Produces baked goods for you from time to time; - Can bring along a high quality lounge suite; - Friendly, but happy to give you your space; - I won't always be just hanging around the house; - Comes with access to his Stan subscription. I'd appreciate meeting one or two like-minded, reasonably tidy people to share with. Let me know if you'd like to discuss this further, I'm happy to meet for coffee/apartment hunting.
Hi there! I'll be making the move from Perth to study a doctor of psychology at UQ, so I would love to find some friendly housemates to help me settle in to Brisbane. I love travelling, and while I'm more of a quiet night in girl, I also enjoy a good chat and the occasional drink on the weekend. I'm tidy and responsible. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to know more!
Hi all! I'm going to be studying a science degree at UQ this year and am looking to find accommodation (under $150/week incl. bills) by early February. I'm sociable (but also enjoy some recharge relax time), tidy, reliable for rent, and would love to get the chance to meet some new people! Always willing to contribute to chores and love to cook my own meals (veg.), plus I am good with organisation and living on a budget, and find it easy to get along with absolutely anyone. I'm always down for socialising or hitting up a club or two, but also don't mind some quiet chill time and keeping to myself. Overall just fairly easy-going and am hoping to find a place asap, so feel free to message!
I get along well with people. I am responsible and not really a party person. I'm an RN who's currently moving into the aviation industry. I like exploring and prefer being outdoors. I also like experiencing new things.
Hi my name is Zoey, I am 26, working part time and studying as well. I am a social person and love getting to know new people. I am very easy to get along with, non smoker, very tidy so you never have to worry about cleaning up after me, I love to be active and get out of the house, go for hikes and go to the beach. If I seem like the type of roommate you want, don't hesitate to call or text me :)
Hey there. I'm Jess, a 30yr old male who has just returned from living abroad for the past few years and will be studying at UQ. I'm clean, quiet and easygoing. Looking for flatmates who are like minded.
I'm moving from the Gold Coast to Brisbane and I'm a 4th year student studying microbiology, psychology and maths at UQ. As you can tell, I'm a science nerd. I'm also a friendly, considerate and tidy person. I am introverted and academically focused but I am also looking for housemates who I can be friends with. I like watching tv, eating, painting and hanging out. I am flexible with move in dates as long as it's before the start of uni. I would prefer female housemates.
Howdy, I'm Fraser, and I'm an Aussie studying Exercise/Sport Science full time at UQ. In my spare time I like to keep fit, mostly through running, cycling, and swimming. I work as a barista, so I'm up early in the morning, and am usually in bed pretty early at night. I study hard, I don't smoke, I only drink socially, and I'm neat and keep the communal areas clean!
This is my first attempt at moving out of home on the Sunshine Coast to study a Bachelor of Arts at UQ! I've been working as an IGA casual for a few years but will be leaving at the end of January, so I'm keen to move to Brisbane and find a new job as soon as I can! I'm easygoing and tidy and even though I get along really well with people, I also love just sleeping and watching Netflix in my room. I'd be really keen to move in with someone who wants to be good friends and will binge watch TV shows with me.
My name is Roberto, I am 19 (turning 20 this November). This yeah I will begin to study engineering at the University of Queensland, therefore I am looking for a room near St Lucia to stay (preferably no more than $180 per week and with unlimited internet included). I moved from Italy 3 years ago and I graduated with an OP 3 in 2015. I am good to organize things in time, listen to the duties that are charged on me. Polite, reliable and kind with people around me. I don’t smoke and I am not a party guy and I prefer to live with people who don’t mess up the house with parties or drugs.
We are two friends looking for one or two other people to share a house with. We are both pretty busy but love to come together for a few drinks here and there. We are clean and social and are looking for people who are similar :) We ideally want to move out early feb to a new place, chuck us a message if you would like to chat!
I'm moving Brisbane to start postgrad study in psychology at UQ. From Melbourne (with the coffee addiction to match) and have been living in London for 2 years, working as a teaching assistant. Looking for a place with cool housemates to hang out with occasionally. When at home I love a good netflix marathon, a bit of a chat and a few drinks every now and then! Since I'm new to Brisbane, it would be great to find people to explore the city and surrounds with. I'm flexible with move in dates, I can meet and view from January 29 and can move in any time after that.

Hi, I'm Stacey, 23 and working full-time and soon to be studying part-time in the city. I am pretty quiet to live with and will mostly keep to myself. Looking for something close to the city, preferably close to public transport. I don't have any pets, don't smoke and go out if I want to party. I have a car so some sort of parking is necessary (even if it is street). Flexible with move-in timing. Ideally looking for own bathroom and a smaller number of roommates. If there is anything you want to know, please don't hesitate to contact me. Please don't call, I check this site each night so if you message I will see your listing. Thanks :)

Hi! My name is Loïc and I am a 21 y/o recent graduate of UQ (international relations and political science). I am french but have been living in Australia since 2001, and am very friendly and open-minded. I am clean, respectful and can cook respectably! I love to dance and keep quite busy with my involvement in the uni dance club, but am always happy to socialise. I also like to kick back in my room and play some video games, which often serves as my downtime. My income stems from part-time work, although I am seeking full-time employment this year. Would love to hear from you :)
Hey I'm Erika! I'm a 21 y/o avocado enthusiast, originally from south coast NSW living in Brisbane for study. I'm a bit over half way through my Pharmacy degree at QUT. I'll be part time at uni this coming semester and picking up more shifts at the chemist I work at in Corinda. I am very clean, and considerate of my room mates. I'm super friendly and chilled, but I do value my own space. I have adopted the kittens I was fostering for over a year so I am looking for somewhere I can have them/room mates who will be nice to them. Their names are Phoebe and Olive, they are gorgeous and are incredibly well behaved :) Seeing as finding pet friendly places on here is proving a little difficult I'm alternatively wanting to find people to team up with and look for a fresh place, I've seen heaps of pet friendly places on realestate.com for far, just need people to look with! I've been a vegetarian for my whole life, and in an ideal world I would love to live with other veggos, but it's not a hardline requirement.
I am easy going and love a laugh and a chat. I also like to relax but at the same time am more than happy to have a party. Ex Army combat engineer. Qualified chef worked in Aria, the Hilton and Hayman Island....now doing Acting
Hi there! **update* I will be here till January of 2018 but am flexible in terms of length of stay! Open to 6, 10, or 12 months!** I'm a FT student at UQ, so I am generally not around much between studying and class. I'm respectful of everyone's belongings, down to earth, social, non-smoker, and tidy. Not a party animal in the least, and looking for like minded flatmates :) I'm flexible in terms of studios, flatshare or sharehouse. I just moved here from the states. I can do furnished/unfurnished (I can buy a simple bed if needed). That said, a place with AC is most definitely needed. Anything else is secondary! Feel free to reach out with any questions or inquiries!!

Hey! myself and my current housemate Cait are in need of 1 or 2 people to join us in a share house by the end of Jan. We are looking for like minded easy going individuals who respect common areas, that are clean and do not steal our avocados and vodka, sorry we have been burned before. So who you will be living with? You got me Helena a recent Communication Design Graduate, currently working in Hospitality who is battling her way through Witcher 3 and you got Cait a who is completing an Arts degree and could beat anyone at GOT trivia. We also like netflix binges and sushi runs! If you think we sound like the type of people you could live with, send a message a bit about yourself and we'll go from there.
Hi there! I'm going into my third year of study at UQ and looking for a change in scenery after spending the last two years living on campus at college. I come from rural Queensland and have spent seven years in boarding school (plus the two years at college) so am very used to sharing space with people and consider myself well house trained. I enjoy a fun night out (or in), very easy going and social personality, looking for housemates that can have some fun but also appreciate some downtime.
Hi, I have just moved over to Australia from New Zealand. I am a teacher who works full time. I don't mind living with pets (except for cats as I am allergic). I don't smoke and am clean, tidy and easy to live with.
Hi, I'm a 30 yo female working Mon-Fri in the CBD. I've only been in Brisbane for a couple of years so would also love to meet some people and thought this would be a great way. I'm looking for a place (unfurnished room as I have my own things) to share with one or two (max) people who are tidy, fun but also reliable like me and who wouldn't mind chatting over a home cooked meal and some wine. I'm busy during the week with work and yoga, and on the weekends I'll most likely be hanging out with friends/family, going to markets or walking/hiking which means I won't always be in your way. Non smoker, no drugs. Will dance when I think no one is watching :)
Hey everyone! I'm a Canadian student from Montreal who recently got accepted at UQ in their Masters of Audiology Studies program and am currently looking for a place or roommates with an intent to find a shared accommodation. Other people would describe me as outgoing, clean and friendly. I love pets as well, I have cockapoo dog who will not be coming with me :(. I'm looking for a place that is quiet and clean, relatively close to the UQ St-Lucia campus and roommates where I could have an occasional chat, and hang out. For fun, I like to hike, workout or check out new restaurants, cafes or the latest hot spots that the city has to offer! Cheers, Arshdeep
I am working on a semi government science institute in the Netherlands and have a sabbatical leave from 20 June to 27 Sept. I will going to work for the University of Queensland. But me shifts will be not regular (it is weekend-shifts included but no night shifts) However I am really dedicated to my job (it is also my hobby) I can be a little bit shy in the beginning, but am a social person. I don't make a mess and like to clean stuff as soon as I used it. I am also very relaxed, adaptive and likes it t have things clear. (not to the point if making fun. But to the point if it is about rules) I always want to support and help people around me (but not forced)
Hey guys! We're Annie and Alex. We are both UQ uni students (IT/Econ) with steady part time jobs. We both have extensive student sharehouse experience (we met in a St Lucia sharehouse and lived with 4 other people for over two years). We found that we got along quite well, so when we finished our lease, we decided to start up our own sharehouse! About us: We both love chatting and meeting new people - but we also understand the need for space. We're fairly tidy, responsible, and always ready for socialising. We're both semi casual gamers, so we have a bunch of consoles/games if that's your thing. Otherwise, we're always up for some card/board games and beers. We're social drinkers and non smokers, but smokers are welcome. Alex plays piano and I am currently in love with westworld. We're looking to start a tight knit, sociable student sharehouse. At the moment we have our eye on a beautiful large queenslander in Indro that is 125 pw for each person and comes with private air con in each room. It has a spa and pool which is maintained with some of our rent money (did anyone say bbq/pool party/house party/movie night!?), and huuuuge common areas. Did we mention the rent covers some bills too? Seriously, this place is amazing. The backyard even has a sundial. (Message us for more deets!) The only reason we haven't snapped this up yet is because we want to make sure we have three other roommates willing to share this gem with us before we start signing leases. (Of course, we are also not averse to moving elsewhere if we really click.) You should message us if: You're an easy going, sociable, LGBT friendly individual aged 20-30 who is either studying with part time work, or a full time professional who doesnt mind the occasional party/housemate bonding. It would help if you are a gamer (especially league/csgo/overwatch)/cat lover/pizza connoisseur, and are willing to strike up friendships with your housemates as well! But generally, we get along with everyone. One of our last housemates vomited in a Sombrero during one of our house parties and we loved him anyway.
Hello potential housemates! I'm a full-time biomedical science student at the University of Queensland. I'm looking for shared accommodation with friendly people who would love to have a chat and a few drinks in the afternoon but also know how to restock a toilet paper roll holder and that dishes DO need to be rinsed before they're washed. I also hold myself to these standards as a housemate so know that I'm clean and respectful, and quiet when needed. I hope to hear from you!
Not sure what to say here haha, but I guess I'll start with, I am a student working on becoming a Physiotherapist. I would consider myself to be a cheerful, honest and loyal person that is very easy to get along with. Have moved to Brisbane from a country town called Dalby nearly 3 years ago where I used to work at my parents motorbike shop for 10yrs. Moved here so I could be closer to workshops and my sponsors while I was racing cars and so I could blaze my own trail, so to speak. After a lot of unfortunate events and bad luck, I decided to give up on the race car dream and work on my other passion, being health and fitness. Hoping to one day be able to incorporate my personal training qualifications within the realm of Physio so that I can do something to help others and not myself, as I believe helping others is one of the primary keys to happiness. Anyway, that ought to be deep enough for now haha. :P So looking for a place that can accommodate a king size bed, a somewhat large study desk and some free weight gym equipment that I'm happy for all to use. My own bathroom would be nice, however, is not a requirement given the right house mate/s & price. The "right housemates" would also be of similar nature to myself, with a friendly and open minded nature. Cheers :)
