I'm a PhD student with two gorgeous cuddly indoor cats (who will love any housemates I have). I like to cook, watch Netflix, craft, sew, paint, and play dungeons and dragons. I am happy to give housemates lots space or be best buddies. I like to have people around but usually only for things like D&D and board games, it's very rare that I'll have a big party. I am clean and would prefer similar housemates. I'm a generally happy person who is very accepting of people's differences.
Hi, I'm Madeleine, an easy going, reliable and clean young professional with lots of experience living in share houses. I work Monday-Saturday as a Music Teacher and enjoy chilled evenings to hang out or have a nice meal. I am neat and tidy and live an active lifestyle in my spare time. I grew up in Tassie and love getting out bush when I can. At home I love a home cooked meal, board games, puzzles and a nice cup of tea and yes I am fully aware that makes me sound like an 80 year old woman, but trust me I really am 24. I would love to have an area for my music equipment (keyboard and books). But I can keep practise to certain times as to not disturb others. I love an honest and open house environment. I think communication and respect are the best philosophys for a sharehouse environment. I am ideally looking for a smaller sharehouse slightly north of the city as most of my work is between Glenorchy and North Hobart. I have a car and furnishings for one room. Happy to move any time in October.
Hey I’m Kate and I’m moving down from Brisbane to do my PhD at UTAS. Never been to tassie, but keen for the adventure. Hoping to live with someone likeminded, however I’ve lived with a bunch of different people so I’m pretty flexible. I’ll know no one in Hobart, so if you enjoy the outdoors that would be a big plus.
I am originally from Germany, but have been living in Tasmania for over 5.5 years. I am quiet and tidy. In my spare time I like to study and read and go hiking. I like the outdoors and love travelling. It would be nice to not only find flatmates, but make some new friends as well. I have a cat, her name is Bumblebee (she came with that name...). Kitty cat and I are hoping to stay together. She is a smoocher and an entertainer :)
Hi there, we are Lidia & Scott. Originally from Melbourne, we moved to Tassie a year ago. We are respectful, friendly, clean & tidy. We love food & cooking, films & bingeable TV shows but also love travel, the outdoors & socialising. Scott loves sports & keeping fit & Lidia is into badminton & picnics. We both work full-time, Scott is a whisky distiller & Lidia works at UTAS, so ideally we would like to live near Sandy Bay or West Hobart (including surrounding suburbs). Scott works in Bothwell & will be away 4 nights a week so we are looking for a sharehouse with a nice, friendly person/people that is sociable and easy going.
I'm turning 28 and rarely go to loud parties. I respect privacy and boundaries but also enjoy good conversations at home and sharing stories. I've worked in education and tech companies. I've lived in USA and China, and loved traveling to different countries. I'm relatively new to Tasmania but love it a lot so plan to stay here for longer. Now, I'm taking a one year program studying Translation in Hobart city center. I'm into psychology, philosophy, meditation, podcasts, classical music, old European films, hiking, and being close to nature. I try to maintain a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle. I'm looking for a place where I can have my own space but also the company of good people who share similar values. I love dogs so would love to live with dog owners. Don't hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions:)
I work at a pharmacy in Cambridge part time, whilst at uni studying finance. I play footy for Hobart tigers. Lived in Tassie my whole life. Looking for a place to live during my final year at UTAS. Super chill, can keep to myself and hang with others if they wish to.
Hello! I'm Clare, I'm a student at UTAS and I also work for the university as a student mentor and outreach worker. I like to cook, run and sing (not at home!) and try to live sustainably where I can. I'm a tidy, responsible and friendly housemate; I like my quiet time but also enjoy sharing a cuppa or occasional meal. I'll be moving in the middle of November and I'm looking for a room in a house with a kindred spirit or two; or a studio or granny flat.
Howdy, I am moving to Hobart from Melbourne in December ( ill be on the ferry on 24th) to complete an internship at the RHH, with an indefinite length of stay (at least 12 months). I am a pretty social and outgoing person and love to enjoy a few vinos of the weekend. love to cook (ill bring my pasta machine with me) and am very clean. I try to keep a balanced lifestyle and stay fit with alot of trail running and some yoga. Looking for a place to call home and plant a vegetable patch. Contact me if you have a spare room! (sorry about all the brackets) Thanks, Annabelle
Hi! I'm moving to Tas for a postdoc at IMAS studying Southern Ocean carbon cycling. Originally I'm from San Diego, California and have been hoping around the east coast of the US for the last decade or so (North Carolina, Boston, DC). After grad-schooling in Boston I spent the last year working in renewable energy at the US Department of Energy in DC but am excited to get back into academia (and closer to the outdoors!). Outside of work I like to climb and will likely be doing that most weekends (would love to room with another climber!). I also surfed a lot growing up and will likely be getting back into that. On the less adventurous side I like to play tennis and basketball, though I'm pretty bad at both... Non-sports wise I like to see and listen to music, hang out at bars, eat yummy food, etc, etc. Home-wise, I have a massive amount of records and books I can bring to the table. I imagine I'll climb most days after works, and typically get home around 8 or 9, and then like to throw on a record or rot my brain on some TV. Love to have friends over for food and or games. Roommate-wise I'm definitely looking for like-minded people that I'd look forward to coming home to and kicking it with. Happy to chat on Skype or face time or something....these things are awkward. Feel free to stalk me on the internet (I*G*: earthrockandsound, L*a*s*t N*a*m*e: rohr). I don't move down till March 1 but would be amenable to signing into something earlier if it is the right situation. Finnnnnnallllly, I'm also looking into buying a house and renting out some rooms. So if you are interesting in teaming up and don't have a plan yet, that could also be an option! Cheers, Tyler
I'm likely moving to Hobart to study a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre at UTAS next year. I would love to be your friend, but will happily give you space when you need it. I clean up after myself and love to cook so will happily make us all dinner every now and then. I'm a creative type, love to try new things and big on sustainability and healthy living (within reason, I also love cake so...)
I'm currently on a gap year, and just returned from travelling, so I'm looking for a new place to call home. I love going kayaking, cooking a tasty dinner or having a couple drinks. I'm pretty easy-going and am happy to have a chat or just chill out and do my own thing. I currently work for a touring company, we run concerts all around Hobart. Flick me a message if you have a spare room or if you're keen to start a new share house.
