Moving from Sydney to Melbourne to work in a tech startup and looking to find a place before I start in December. Pretty easy going, happy to hang out watching netflix or playing xbox. Like to keep busy playing sport but equally happy with pub nights.
Hey Hey! I'm a retail assistant and receptionist, looking for a lovely home to live in with some awesome people - If I can be added on to a Lease that would be fantastic! I'm a very outgoing individual who likes to have a drink or two but also likes to kickback. I'm happy to hangout with potential room mates if my schedule isn't hectic. I also have a motorbike, not too fused about parking. Huge tennis fan, foodie, a bit of a movie geek, play baseball and a gym junkie. I clean up after myself and above all, understand the importance of personal space of fellow housemates.
I’m Kay! 31 year old from Scotland and fell in love with Melbourne so much the first time that I decided to come back! Working for an engineering consultancy in the CBD, work and keeping fit takes up most of my time during the week but looking for somewhere to call home and flatmates who like a laugh, movie night, game night, and to cook together - but who also like to have their own space and do their own thing! Weekends are spent biking, running, eating out, travelling, meeting with friends, beach, BBQs...all the perks that Melbourne has to offer! Looking for somewhere I can settle and call home! Get in touch if your after the same! Thanks! K x
Hey all! Im luke, a 27 year old landscape gardener with a passion for what i do. Originally from adelaide, i have called melbourne home for abit over a year now- enjoying every minute of it. I work fulltime hours with the occasional saturday. When not in the garden i tend to keep fairly active outside on my bike, at the gym, down the beach..also love nights in cooking, movies, music. Very relaxed personality with comfort in simple pleasures- easy to live with. Enjoy a few beers on a weekend but my party days are long behind me, some live music or a show with friends at best. Look forward to meeting with you :)
A little bit about me: Originally from Perth, WA. Have lived in Melbourne for the past 2 years. I work an 8am-6pm job in the property industry. I'm neat and tidy but also not obsessively so. I try to get out of the house as much as possible but also love a cheeky night in. I'm looking for an unfurnished room to rent for up to 12 months at this stage. More than happy to answer any questions so please ask away.
Hey guys! Hey 👋 I’m Yianna, 23 years old, fully house trained and independent young woman! I’m very respectful of the spaces of those around me, always cleaning up after myself and keeping quiet considering everyone’s working hours. I have lived in share apartments for 5 years now and currently have been living on my own this year which I find to be incredibly lonely! Even though I keep to myself quite a bit it’s always nice to have another energy around :) I like to live with somebody who’s clean, reliable, friendly and definitely not somebody who treats it like I’m living in a short stay rental if we’re splitting the rent! I believe the space should be shared equally to create a space that represents everyone with their own unique bits and pieces! I love plants and art and vintage items! 😇 I come with a washing machine, a low quality fridge haha, awesome bamboo love seat, bedroom furniture and some other household stuff but I’m happy to not bring everything if the place is already furnished! I am going to be buying a kitten hopefully soon so hope that would be okay! I’d love to find one or two house mates and check out some places together and create our own little home. I am very trustworthy and honest and expect nothing less from those around me! :) I don't mind if it's a house, townhouse or apartment as long as it's modern and it would be amazing to have my own bathroom. I've seen plenty of 2bd 2bth on realestate for 500pw and under. :)
MY friend Lucy and I are looking for a room (2 beds) or 2 rooms in a shared house from 8th Dec. I will need it for just over 2 months, my friend will probably be staying a bit longer. Both clean and tidy, and easy going. Used to living in shared houses etc. Both working full time, have been in Melbourne for 6 months.
I am relocating to Melbourne from sunshine coast in Queensland. I am quiet and neat. I have a pet cat who unfortunately will have to stay in a cattery until i find our new home. I lived in melbourne for 8 years before moving for work. I am looking forward to coming back to Melbourne. I will make a great housemate to someone who likes quiet and peace.
HUGE FULLY FURNISHED ROOM - JUST BRING YOUR BAGS AND MOVE STRAIGHT IN!! Three-month-old KING size bed with all linen provided (top of the range) including two ‘shhh silk’ brand silk pillowcases (once you sleep on silk pillowcases you will never go back!), near new brown suede chaise lounge, large desk/beauty vanity with chair, Built in robes, own TV with Apple TV (Netflix's, stan etc in your room), fan, salt lamp and nice smelling soy candles. this room is MASSIVE - ideal for a couple or someone who likes big room) Happy to rent to a couple for $350pw Large 3 bedroom townhouse in a quiet street in Port Melbourne. Downstairs is a large, light-filled open plan dining/living room with polished floorboards, funky modern furniture, a Dare Gallery large leather lounge, Matt blat coffee table and 62 inch TV with Foxtel, Netflix and Stan. Huge handmade wooden 8 seater dinning table. We also have a robot vacuum and a Dyson animal stick vacuum downstairs. The functional kitchen is also open plan with top of the range SMEG stainless steel appliances, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave and dishwasher. Despite it being a share house I (Clare who Own’s all the stuff) likes quality products so everything matches and is good quality. Downstairs also has a laundry/powder room with a brand new front loader washing machine and dryer. Living area opens out onto a large private courtyard with a BBQ, fold down clothesline and a nine-seater outdoor table for entertaining plus two sunbeds to enjoy the summer sunshine (it’s perfect for sunbaking in the afternoons). Free on-street parking which is very easy (there are loads of parks) or if garage access is important to you then that can be negotiated for a fee with the housemate currently using it. The house is a 2-minute walk from the light rail (10 minutes into the CBD), around the corner from bustling Bay Street, Port Melbourne's best cafes and the beach at the end of the street!! Bills and expenses *most people just say ‘+bills, I like to be specific so you can budget’ All occupiers agree to split all household bills 3 ways (or 4 if a couple moves in) – Monthly bills are all due on the same day as rental payment. Electricity/Gas – varies to be paid within 7 days of bill arriving Water usage - varies to be paid within 7 days of bill arriving All the following (divided between number of housemates 3 if a single person moves in, 4 if it is a couple. Actually comes down to a small number when split!) Internet (unlimited) - $90 per month cleaner fortnightly - $120 (May be bumped up to weekly if people are not assisting around the house as a clean house is important) Stan - $10 per month Netflix - $24 per month Contents insurance (includes accidental damage so if you spill water on your laptop, it’s covered!) - $38.80 per month Clare - I'm is 35 love animals, especially dogs. I have two permanent dogs, Dutchy (French Bulldog) and Hodor (Dogue De Bordeaux - the dog from the movie 'Turner and Hooch') who are both rescue dogs and beyond friendly. I'm owned by my hounds I'm clean & tidy, but not OCD clean freak type. I work in Recruitment. I'm allergic to dogs though so I have a robot vacuum the runs every day, an air purifier and scented candle melts, aromatherapy vaporisers going all day to ensure the house doesn't smell like 'dog' (people always comment how nice the house smells). I have a robovac and a brand new Dyson stick vacuum downstairs, plus a top of the range Bissell Pet cross-wave vacuum/mop. Upstairs I have a special turbo head vacuum and a $1000 carpet steam cleaner. Plus all the formulas required. While we have dogs I don't like the house to smell like dog. It is important to me that while we have dogs, we don’t have one of those gross, dirty, stinky dog houses. The dogs are also bathed weekly. I tend to keep to myself after work when I am zapped after work and I have a TV in my room so I can chill. The other housemate is a lovely guy called Patrick who is 32 - he only moved in recently, works Monday to Friday and is very respectful. He is social and out and about a bit. We are both up for a casual wine together or a household trivia night. We are only seeking new housemate/s as the couple who currently live in the room fell pregnant which is very exciting for them so have returned to the UK. They have been gone 39 hours and we have already Skyped twice - we give each other space, but do become a big family. We all like our alone time, yet we are all really close and have a lot of fun together. NOT A CRAZY PARTY HOUSE! If have a big one and obnoxiously roll in with a few mates at 3am on a Friday night every now and again, that’s cool. Do that during the week or consistently, we are not the right home for you. MUST LOVE DOGS!!! Dutchy and Hodor are not intrusive dogs at all, they DON'T chew things up, make a mess. They mostly just sleep/snore and follow Clare around wherever she goes. They sleep in Clare's room and are indoor dogs with outdoor access. Both Dutchy and Hodor love pats cuddles from anyone offering though. Hodor is scary looking but he is just a big smoocher and loved by all. THIS IS A HOUSE FOR CLEAN DOG LOVERS!!! We currently also have a pug puppy called Murphy who is super cute and makes us all laugh every day. Unfortunately, Murphy has a terminal liver shunt (his liver doesn’t filter his blood at all.) We were told he has one week to live....7 months ago!! He seems to be showing no signs of slowing down despite his prognosis. He gives amazing snuggles and provides endless amusement. It is a really great house in a fantastic spot. If you are a dog lover you also get all the perks and none of the responsibility!
Brand new modern townhouse in port Melbourne, Extremely close to the cbd, port Melbourne beach and south Melbourne market. 5 minute walk to the tram station *house will be ready for inspection later this month, around 23/ Nov* your room will be on the first floor, built in mirror robe, floor to ceiling windows with en-suite bath and a courtyard! Photos are from earlier when it’s unfurnished. Will update as new furniture comes in :)
Decent sized room in an as new three bedroom, three level townhouse in Port Melbourne, just off Ingles Street. The rent is $290 per week plus bills (split three ways). House is fully furnished with table, couch, fridge and washing machine and the bedroom can come with basic furniture if required. We're in an amazing location, 2 min walk tram and bus stops. 5 min walk to Bay Street, gyms and bars. We’re actually surrounded by the best restaurants/pubs Melbourne has to offer! A 5 min drive into the CBD and an 5 min drive to the beach. What more could you ask for? The room is a medium size room with air conditioning and heating, it’s got its own ensuite and built in robe. Bedroom would fit a queen bed (but currently has a double in it). The room is on the ground level and has a nice view into the front garden. With living and kitchen upstairs, you’ll basically have a whole level to yourself. There is ample parking around the back of the house and also plenty of street parking out the front which has no time limit. The move in date is 15th of December. Bond is around $1500 (just need to confirm) If you think you’d be interested, let us know and you can come check out the place! At this stage, we aren't looking for pets or couples.
I`m Emilia, from Argentina, I've been living in Melbourne for a year now and I have another year to stay in this beautiful country. Unfortunately in my current house we all decide to leave at once so I'm looking for a place to move in by December. Currently working in hospitality in the CBD and also studying full time, so I'm gone most of the time. Although whenever I can, I love cooking or enjoying a nice glass of red (preferable in the garden). Wine is a big part of my life, back in Argentina I used to work in the wine industry, so you'll probably will see me often researching about wine (well yes, drinking mostly). I'm very social and easygoing but I can be in my own world as well, I think I have the perfect balance between being extro-introverted. I`ve been living on my own since I was 18 (now I'm 30) so I'm very well house trained, clean and tidy. I`m looking for a home and housemates, meaning I`m not looking to live in a hotel kind of house. I like interacting with the people I live with and treat my house like a home. Preferable looking to move in for more than 6 months but i'm flexible.
I’m from Brazil and I’m 39. I came to Melbourne to study and work. First I’m improving my english and them I’m going a post graduate. I am easy going, clean and focused on my studies.
Hey there, My names Ben, I am 29 years of age... I work in construction, currently working on the Caulfield to Dandenong Skyrail project, and now that’s coming to a end, I will be heading to the metro tunnel, which is why I want to stay in close to the city... I play and coach footy in Port Melbourne, and I like to keep active, fit and healthy. Prefer to be out and about doing something on weekends, rather than being at home all the time, whether it be a day down the beach during summer, at good pub with a beer garden or whatever it may be, but every now and then I do enjoy a nice relaxing weekend at home as well.. I love going out to new bars and restaurants and trying out new places, and I love cooking and trying new foods... Have lived in share house multiple times before so I know the drill when it comes to house chores and all the rest of it as well 😉
I’m Melbournian born and raised. 31 and a working professional based in the city. Outgoing and easy going, neat and tidy. Quite fit and active - gym / yoga / basketball / American football / snow sports etc. Traveler personality, loves traveling.
Turning 30 years old in October - Currently working a 9am-5pm corporate job at the moment, though in the transition of changing jobs. I’m at uni from 6pm-9:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursday and most weekends I’ll either be flying or spending time with family/friends. So I’ll rarely be home but will make the most of home time when I get the opportunity to as I’ve got a very busy lifestyle. I enjoy training (2 on; 1 off at the gym). Love the outdoors and will take the opportunity to go hiking, camping or be with friends having a couple of drinks at a bar catching up but also love staying in, reading a book or watching a movie with a cheeky glass of wine and yes, I’m willing to share the bottle too ;-) Single, no kids so it’ll be just me, myself and I.
Guten Tag! I'm a very easy going, adaptable and funny german girl. German and funny? Yep pretty rare, I know. I've lived in Australia the last 4 years and I'm not planning to leave anytime soon 😎 I work fulltime Monday to Friday in Southbank for a travel company and I don't mind having a drink or three Friday after work. During the week I prefer to lay low and recharge my batteries as my weekends are usually pretty packed with activities. I'm very passionate about competitive cheerleading for example and it currently takes over most of my weekends. And whenever I'm not busy with cheerleading on the weekend I love to go hiking, go for long walks or chill on the beach. I'm very easy to live with as most of the time I do my own thing but I also don't mind having flatemate dinners, watching movies together or have 90's nights out. I like it clean and tidy, especially in the common areas like bathroom/kitchen. My own room would probably be rather messy with clothes everywhere.🙈 Enough about me now, let's hear about you!
Hello! I am a primary school teacher, moved here from the US about six months ago and living here in Melbourne for the foreseeable future! I love the outdoors and traveling so I am usually out and about after work and on the weekends but would love to live with a roommate or roommates who would want to grab an occasional glass of wine or go to an event around the city every once in a while! I am a clean and tidy roommate and would love to live with a roommate or roommates who are also clean when it comes to common area :). I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Hi everyone, I am moving to the city from the outer south east for work. I am looking to move sometime around Jan-Feb. Hoping to find somewhere I can call home for the long term. I work in consulting full time and will be fairly quiet during the week. I am easy going and stay clean and tidy. I am a foodie and in my free time would love exploring Melbourne and also enjoy cooking.
