I've just taken a lease on a 2bdrm house in Preston and am looking for a housemate. Great house tucked away at the end of the street, green and leafy, lots of garden, 2 large bdrms, lounge room, big kitchen, sun-room, garage and me:-) This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to get into making a comfortable home, I'm totally open to creating the space however it suits. $912 p/m + 4 weeks bond. Available nowish.
Coming from the eastern suburbs but will have work between Geelong and Tullamarine for the next 6 months so am wanting to live somewhere relatively close to both. I am a shift worker so my room mate will need to be okay with me getting up early and coming home late. Am fairly tidy and low maintenance but would also like to share with someone who enjoys a drink/is social in their spare time.
Hello, my name is Hien! 🙂 I'm responsible, considerate and communicative. I always pay rent and bills on time, clean up after myself and work to keep common areas clean and comfortable. I do my best to be accommodating and am always respectful of other people's needs. I value open communication and compassion. I'm seeking long term rentals as I'd like to settle somewhere for at least a couple of years, preferably more. My budget for both rent and bills is up to a total of $850 per calendar month, so I am looking for places that are $750/month or less in rent only. I have good rental history, can provide references from previous real estate agents and housemates, and prefer to go on the lease contract. I prefer areas with a lot of diversity and good community vibes. I come with my own bedroom furniture and not much else, but I can chip in for big household appliances (fridge, washing machine, dryer, etc.) if needed. I prefer that non-consumables like furniture and appliances in common areas are shared. I buy my own groceries and make my own meals but don’t mind the occasional communal meal sharing or activities depending on my schedule. I'm 22, currently studying an undergrad in Criminology and Philosophy at University of Melbourne, and hoping to get a career in social work/advocacy. I'm finishing my contract in December so will be looking for another long term position then, but I’ll still have regular income from government benefit and shift jobs. On top of that, I have set aside enough money to cover bond + rent and bills for at least 6 months. I do have a lot of commitments and keep my own schedule so I might not be around much, but I'm happy to be social when possible. I don't get to actually cook often but I like to try out Vietnamese recipes when I do. I also make smoothies or other types of drinks and bake sometimes. Hope to hear from you!
Hello, I’m Kayo, from Japan. I’m a student who is studying about business in the city and working as a barista 5 days per week in Coburg, so obviously I’m a morning person:-) I’ve been living here for 2 years anyway. I’m really tidy and reliable person. I’m not kind of party people, but I was a dance teacher in Japan, so I like dancing and music. Some time I go to the dance lesson after working:) I like going out on my days off, and I don’t spend so much time at home. I’ve been to more than 20 countries. I’m really keen on talking with people who are foreigners to expand my horizons and improve my English. I’m thinking that I’d like to stay here as long as possible while working as a barista. I LOVE Melbourne! I’m looking forward to seeing your reply, thank you!
A granny flat with airconditioning, plenty of room and located in a great location, just walking distance from the Northland Shopping Centre, Preston Train Station and the Preston Markets. Perfect for someone who wants their own space, but living with two awesome housemates if you're more outgoing.
Hey everyone, I'm Breana. I would describe myself as very easy going, super friendly and tidy of course :) I'm very independent, but would also like to have a good relationship with my flatmates. I'm working full time in the health industry. I love reading, spending time with friends and family, going to cute cafes, and the beach.
I consider myself to be relatively grown up and fairly mature, so I usually can take care and responsibility for myself, as well as consider the needs of others. Currently, I am studying Counselling and Psychology, because I needed a career change. Quiet, social, easy to get along with, and typically hang out a lot in Bikram Yoga studios or at 5 Rhythm Dance or the like... oh... and I have no idea why my profile picture is hanging upside down...
I'm a Finnish male from; Helsinki, moving Down Under, to work as a carpenter in Brunswick East. My journey begins: 1st of November, in the gorgeous city of; Melbourne! - Easy going, approachable, reliable, friendly, outgoing, good sense of humour, respectful, handyman around the house, coffee lover, music enthusiast, snowboarder, and just a great bloke. I've lived in: New York, London, around Europe, India, Nepal and travelled extensively around the world. Whilst living abroad, I've lived with many people and have a great rapport amongst all past house mates. I'm happy to live among people from all walks of life.
I am very relaxed and sociable within a house. I enjoy interacting with housemates rather than living in a home where everyone keeps to themselves. I am very clean but enjoy a lived in feel to a home. I am studying Entertainment Management part time at Collarts in Collingwood. I regularly go to gigs and shows around Melbourne and spend a lot of time out and about. I work in Coburg in Event Management so work random hours some of the time. I make an incredible gin and tonic and will never turn down a glass of rosé!
I'm clean, easy going and lead a relatively busy lifestyle. I currently live in Brunswick and will be moving out due to the redevelopment of our current property. I'm a legend of a housemate because I can respect the space of others, and also appreciate a drink or a night out - if that is your thing. As for who i am, I'm in the third year of my apprenticeship as an electrician, and I love it - Outside of this I study and play football. I can provide any references you might need, or answer any further questions. Thank you
I'm a 19-year-old part-time assistant buyer and full-time fashion design student. I have worked since I was 15 for the same business and I am currently looking for a new place to live. I go to uni in Brunswick and work in Ivanhoe so somewhere around these areas is perfect. I love getting outdoors, love drinks and movies with friends and a night out is always fun too. I also love to cook and socialise but love my down time too. I am out of the house pretty much all the time from about 8 am until later on in the day at 8 or 9. I love animals, so wouldn't mind sharing with some who has pets and I have a lot of my own furniture.
UPDATED: I am also actively searching for properties to teamup with. Here are a list of FULLY FURNISHED properties currently available. Currently completing my Bachelor's Degree in Psychological Sciences @ Deakin University. I walked away from a lucrative career to pursue my passion... fingers crossed it works out for me! I appreciate peace & quiet living, but enjoy occasional dinner parties or gatherings in or out of the shared home. I love spending my free time reading, binge watching movies & TV shows, just chilling & chatting and so on... More than happy to share or split on things we might want to have in the home. Such as maybe.... a ridiculously HUGE 4KHD television + surround sound system! Mmmm.... additional information about myself below. 1. Very clean & tidy. Some say I clean better than 5*Star hotels! (I usually do a top to bottom house clean of my current residence once a week.) 2. I have a car. Happy to share its use! 3. Not really a "party animal" or "wild". Bored of that lifestyle and just a wee bit too old for it. 4. Unsure of what else to include.... perhaps we can get to know more about each other through messaging... to ensure a fit for living under one roof.
My name is Beth I am from Scotland and I have been travelling around Australia on a working holiday visa and I now want to settle in Melbourne for a while. At the moment I am still looking for a job in Melbourne but I am hoping I will find one very soon.
