Hi, I’m Carolina, I’m 33 years old and work full time as a freelance translator. I am also an artist and currently am studying my Masters in Fine Art at RMIT. I am a busy person and am usually out of the house quite a lot. I am looking for a place to call home that I can be a part of. I am respectful, clean and reliable in carrying out my share of the household chores. I like to have a chat and a wine from time to time.
Hi! I'm currently a student at the University of Melbourne completing my final year of studying Economics. After uni, I hope to work in research or for an organisation with a focus on social justice. Looking for a place fairly close to uni melb, as I can't wake up early enough to make it to my morning classes :( I work part-time in retail but in my spare time I love to watch netflix (currently binging Bojack Horseman), read or bake (I can make great choc chip cookies!) I'm a very chill and friendly person and am very respectful of others' personal space and keeping the house tidy. Please message me if you have a place available that you think would suit me!!!
Hello, I arrived from the Gold Coast on the 19th of Jan and now looking for a new home. Looking around Richmond/ Prahran/ St Kilda areas. I will be working full-time as an engineer for a construction company, so I won't always be at the house using utilities. I am a social bloke that is always down for a chat, although I enjoy my downtime and respect everyones privacy. I am clean, tidy and very easy-going. I like going to the beach, don't mind the occasional beer now and then, I go to the gym most days and love coffee. If there is anything you want to know feel free to swing me a message, Cheers!
Hi I'm Alex! I am a 25 year old american engineering student who will be getting his masters in Environmental Engineering from the University of Melbourne in 2019. My classes start beginning of March so I will be looking for a place starting the beginning of February. I am a clean, laid back and considerate roommate who will be busy studying & working full time. I love to listen to music, cook, eat, travel, exercise and am always happy to get together for a good meal or drink!
G'Day- I'm a 34-year-old full-time journalist, originally from Tassie and moved to Melbourne for work six years ago. I love it here and consider it home. I'm single, queer, have a wide range of interests - music, sport, travel, staying active and getting out and about northside! I have no pets but I'm pet friendly. I consider myself a considerate and tidy and think it's important to strike the right balance between a functional friendship and giving a housie some space! Never had any issues making rent. I'm looking for a room in an established sharehouse with three or four people - or a team-up with the same numbers. I'm moving out of my Brunswick East place after my long-term housie decided to move in with his partner.
I moved here from Sydney 6 months ago and love it so far! I'm interested in living in a 'green' household (recycling, composting etc) and hopefully with a garden or sunny balcony. I'm vegetarian, but don't mind meat in the kitchen. I work full time and weekends I go mountain biking, play soccer and seeing friends. I also travel a bit for fun and for work. I'm looking for a flatmate who both enjoys chatting to their flatmates, as well as time to themselves. Also, because I'm a light sleeper, I'm looking for a room that's quiet!
I have been living in Australia for the last 9 years, experienced in sharing house with university students and professionals. I recently completed my PhD at University of Wollongong (NSW) and I will be working at Monash University from mid-Feb 2019. I'm planning to move to Melbourne in early Feb 2019. About me: • Non-smoker. Never consumed drugs. Not a party animal. No criminal records. • Quiet but sociable and friendly. • Neat, clean and tidy: I usually clean up my dishes as soon as I finish my meal. I do not leave dirty dishes overnight. Furthermore, I do not tend to leave a mess at communal areas. • Reliable and cooperative: I always pay my rent on time. • Excellent communication skill. My ideal room: • Less than 10 minutes walk to train station, supermarkets and eateries. • Furnished with mattress, bedframe, wardrobe/cupboard. • Prefer to have a study desk in the room. Otherwise must have adequate space to fit a study desk if I buy one.
Hey cuties! I'm Nina and I just landed in Melbourne after a year backpacking and volunteering around Asia and Europe. Needless to say, I'm ready to dive into a new city for longer than 3 days and finally have a fridge and room to call my own for a bit! I love learning new ways to live unconventionally, sustainably and happily. If you're into it, as your housemate I can regale you with some hilarious travel and hitchhiking stories, and am always down for a glass of alcohol and time spent outdoors! Core pillars of my being: Reading, travel, animals (big shoutout to cats especially), biking, long walks, a solid nap, bonfires, the beach, time spent in solitude, time spent with people who let me be myself effortlessly, dancing and high kicks, looking up/down/around in wonder, a night on the town, thrifting. I'm super clean and organized, and I try my best to always bring good energy and respect to every space I occupy! I'm currently on the hunt for a full-time job (selling out for the 9-5, sigh), so no worries about me paying rent on time or lounging on the couch for weeks straight ;) ~let's chat~
Hi! I'm an architect from India, currently studying fulltime and also working part-time. I came here in July and now looking for a new place to call home! I'm clean, I can cook (to survive) and I'm reliable. Study and work keep me busy but I would love to have a nice conversation once in a while. I like meeting new people and eating out, but I also like chilling at home with my flatmates, Netflix and a bev. :) I'm not looking for a party house. But I am looking for a home. I enjoy camping, going for a run and would love to explore more of the city & the country as I'm still a newbie! P.S: I love chai! I could make you some. :) NOTE: I'm looking for a private room. I don't mind if you have a pet. I'm looking to move in ASAP, so shoot me a message if I'm who you're looking for.
Full-time city professional. I keep myself like I keep my beard - clean and slightly fluffy. Friendly and outgoing, big music lover, and I enjoy whipping up a storm in the kitchen. Looking for medium to long term (12-18 months), hopefully inner north. Non-smoker.
I'm 29, from the UK and moving to Melbourne to work full time at Monash Uni (Parkville Campus). I have spent my twenties living great houseshares and hope to find a great place in Melbourne. I enjoy food (both eating it and cooking), coffee, going to the pub, hiking, live music and sports. I move to Melbourne in January and can't wait. All the best, John
My name is Maddy, I am a 23 yr old Canadian girl moving to Melbourne to undertake my Masters of Architecture at UniMelb. I'm tidy in common areas and my room is usually fairly tidy (never dirty). I have lived in roommate situations for the last 5 years so I am good at sharing spaces and cleaning duties for common areas. I have references if that helps too. I am new to the city and only know a few people so it would be nice to join a house share to have a social group. A bit about me: I am a fairly early riser (9ish) and typically go to bed about 10-11 but with school and the occasional night out it will vary. I enjoy Netflix and wine nights and being social in the house. I love fashion and I model occasionally and hope to continue this in Melbourne. I like to go to the gym every other day when I can and eat relatively healthy. In my free time I like to go to the beach, shop and explore the city. I am looking for a private bedroom (preferably with a double or queen bed) near transit (I will not have a car) to the University of Melbourne or near the uni itself. I arrive on the 1st of February and can view places after that. I would like to be moved in by March 1.
I am a 42 year old guy who has decided to make the move back to Melbourne, from Launceston, to be closer to family and friends. I am looking for a relaxed home to share with like minded, warm & friendly housemate(s). I am currently looking for work given the very recent move (I arrived in Melbourne yesterday). I generally spend most night's chilling at home, doing my own thing, but I'd like be able to have a good chat and share a laugh with whomever is around. I used to be a professional contemporary dancer... which means I have also worked in hospitality quite a bit. I am mid-way though studying a course in human services with the hopes of getting into helping troubled youths. I'm a decent cook who struggles with a slight chocolate addiction and am looking forward to being back in Melbourne long term.
Evie here! I am an 18 year old here in Melbourne studying Musical Theatre. I will be doing a Full-Time course this year and am currently working in retail. I am extremely passionate about music, plants, animals and the environment. I love to have a bit of fun and also love my quiet time too. I am clean, respectful and am always up for a good boogie or jam session. I am looking for housemates who are also up for a bit of fun, music and plant lovers and are needing an extra person to add to their household.
Hello! My name is Matilda and I have recently returned to Melbourne after living in the Northern Territory for 6 months. I am originally from North East Victoria and have just been travelling around the country working as an Emergency Nurse. I love the outdoors, coffee, animals and food. I am a very easy going, relaxed, reliable and trustworthy person and I love my family and friends. I am looking for a short term, a no fuss room/roof over my head until I figure out my next step in life! Looking forward to staying in Melbourne for a couple of months!
Hi guys, I looking for a fun place to live! I have a very upbeat job in sales so when I come home I’d love to be able to chill out have a good chat and even some wine with house mates. I work from 7-6, 5 days a week. I love animals, a couple of drinks to relax and love binge watching shows, I do love to do some cooking so if having house dinners to all catch up would be great. Look forward to possibly seeing you as a house mate :)
Hello everyone! I'm an exchange student from Germany studying Psychology at the University of Melbourne for one semester. I've already been to Melbourne twice and love the city and everything it has to offer e.g. the great coffee and the comedy festival ;) Since I'm only here for a short period I ideally would like to find a sublet for about 4 and a half months, but I will consider other alternatives as well! Last time I was in Melbourne I was an AuPair in a family with 3 children for 6 months. I also travelled along the East Coast and to Bali. When I don't have to study for exams I like keeping active, going for a run/to the gym and getting a coffee and some much needed sun outside :) I'm a very responsible, easy to live with, considerate person and like my space to be clean and organized. So if you think we would be a good fit send me a message! I look forward to hearing from you. See ya, Cosima
From Sweden, currently living in Copenhagen working in a PR & communication agency, and moving to Melbourn to take a PhD in Management at RMIT. I'm an outgoing, social and easy going person who has been living in shared apartments for years now and love having a great mix of company and socialising and having your own space. I'm hoping to find a place to share as a home, having dinners and some weekend drinks when that's the spirit. I like to stay active, working out and running, and love to get outdoors - mountain biking ( bringing my bike all the way with me so hoping to find some good tracks around Mel), sailing, diving, skiing and always up for an adventure. Of course, in between all of that I like to kick back and relax, preferably with someone who can through around some good banter, can force me to settle on a Netflix movie and teach me some aussie slang.
hi i'm Lane 🤗. - i crave community, culture, & creatives - i believe housemates make a home; and - the more the merrier - *these are a few of my favourite things-i-look-for-in-a-home... 🏠 i'm looking for a happy, healthy, humble inner north or west home; somewhere in/near the brunswick, thornbury, carlton, collingwood, fitzroy, footscray, north melbourne, abbotsford 'hoods. i'm a clean, considerate, creative kind who's also all the friendlies — gender, orientation, environment et. al. i lean left, arty, literaturely, and non-binararilly, and i'm house-proud, house-happy, and open to short-term or long-term options. i'm looking for a warm, welcoming, inclusive, clean, open, and honest home; i co-live well and respect my own time and space as much I do that of others. I'm looking to live with people who *want to live* with other people, and share life and laughs together when we can and/or care to. i love the usuals — books, arts, film, photography, music, people — and i'm fond of the ukulele, rubik's cube, and learning new things, because, this is how we grow. i'm trying/dying to improve my sign language skills too so if you can help me I'll love you forever. i rarely do tv though I love documentaries and film. i'm an environmentally-considerate car owner so parking is a consideration for me, and i have a small social enterprise called SAYSO I'm about to launch: social causes are close to my heart.
Hi everyone, Kate and Albert are looking for a tidy and friendly house to live this year. Albert recently completed a masters degree in maths and will be starting a law degree in February. Kate is a politics and human geography graduate working with the Victorian government.
Hi there! I'm Tamara, and I'm a 23 year old post-grad student from Singapore/ Canada. I'm about to start my second year of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the University of Melbourne and am looking for a new place to call home. Hey! I'm really interested in this place. Is the room still available? If so, I'd love to come by and view the place. I am an outgoing individual and enjoy being outdoors, but I can also appreciate some quiet time comfily curled up on the couch watching Netflix. As I'm in a demanding program, I'm pretty serious about my studies. That said, I'm also always down to relax and have a bit of fun on the weekends. I'm looking for a friendly home environment, where people are free to do their own things but also hang out together at times. I have lived in homeshares in Montreal the past few years, so I know what it takes to be responsible and tidy in shared spaces. My move date is flexible, but I'd prefer to move in some time before March. I look forward to getting in touch!
I'm a second-year student at Melbourne Uni, majoring in Politics and International Studies and doing a Diploma in Computing. Originally from country Victoria but I'm loving the Melbourne lifestyle. My ideal day would involve good friends, good (but cheap) food, an activity (bowling?), then later end up at My Aeon, Pawn and Co or Revs for a good boogie. However, I am serious about my studies and when semester starts back up I'd prefer to live somewhere relaxed and quiet. I've spent months traveling all over living in hostels so I'm used to getting along and living with anyone and everyone. I'm friendly (but like a bit of alone time too), I like to keep thing neat and I'm always open to new experiences.
