I'm a 32 year old Pilates instructor and lapsed graphic designer who has recently moved home to suffocating, small town Brisbane after a 3.5 year stint in London. I'm an easy going kinda gal into all the usual things such as art, music, travel, food, wine, dogs, hating Trump etc etc. I'm looking to find some easy going, like minded housemates who may turn into some great pals or at least acquaintances that know how to use a sponge. I'm also good with a sponge, can whip up a Pescatarian friendly meal, pet friendly (dog obsessed) very independent and happy to do my own thing but always up for a wine/beer/cuppa and a chat. My wild party days are well and truly behind me but love a good gathering of friendly folk. I'm also up for a bit of culture, op shopping, road trips...and have a functioning vehicle in order to make this happen. Would love to discover all the best bits of Melbourne and also go exploring a little further so if you'd like to come along there's always room in my car (even if the ceiling is falling in on me) Anyhoo if you'd like to know more please feel to get in touch. Looking forward to meeting my new Flatmates one day soon! Luisa :)
I'm a Canadian teacher who will be doing relief teaching in the North areas of Melbourne. I need easy access to the tram in order to get to the various schools I'll be working in. :) I'm easy-going, the Canadian brand of super-friendly and tidy! I'll be off travelling and rock-climbing for all school holidays and most weekends! I'm hoping to find a place to stay until December. I'm looking for a furnished room, if possible.
Hi, my name is Matt. I will be doing a bachelor of engineering/business at RMIT this year and need a place to stay in Melbourne with quick access to the CBD on public transport. I also work part time at a pub. I come from Boolarra in rural Victoria so that's why I need to move. I'm ready to move in right now, and I am looking for a place to stay until at least mid november, possibly next year as well. My hobbies include footy, basketball, hanging out with mates and video games. I'm not looking for a crazy party house but I also am not too fussed if there are some gatherings every now and again. If you would like any further details about myself, please message me on flatmates. Thanks :)
Hi! I'm 29 YO full time shift worker in hospitality. I'm easy going, likes to keep things clean and tidy. Extremely easy going and respectful. Loves reading, sunshine, and wine! I have a sweet tiny dog that follows me around, she is well trained and quiet as a mouse. I'd really love a nice quiet place where I could call home. An apartment with a long term lease in a location that is close enough for short commute to the city where I work. Looking to either share a place with one other or rent a one bedroom or a studio. Must be LGBT friendly. Please send me a message so we can arrange a meeting! Thank you! Anita
I'm Conni, a 24 year old geology/environmental studies postgraduate student at melbourne university. I've had experience living with all sort of different people in Germany as well as London so I know how things are workingin a great shared house ;) I'm from Germany and I will stay for one year. I am creative, crazy, very thoughtful and very fun to hang out with and I like a good laugh. I have probably read about 5000 books but you will get the biggest nonsense out of me (you don't even have to try very hard). I like to play a bit on my Ukulele and I love all kind of arts, individuality and people who do things their way! I'm kind of nerdy when it comes to Geology and Arts and books. But always easy to get along with and interested in all sort of stuff - especially people and music. When I manage to do some outdoor activity I am really excited about it! That includes skiing, climbing, hiking, ... travelling too. If nature is to far away, I try to ignore that by doing a lot of work out in a park/beach/playground/... I'm a vegeterian and I like to keep kitchen and bathroom clean.
I'm an art historian doing a masters in art conservation and am moving back to Melbourne after living in Europe for the past 5 years. I love to do a bit of gardening, listen to lots of music, really enjoy housemate hang outs, am down for fighting the patriarchy and do a killer nutbush.
Hey! My name is Luke, I'm moving to Melbourne to begin my Masters in Clinical Psychology. I'm pretty easy going, I love animals and have a partner staying in Adelaide to finish her teaching degree. I'll be pretty busy with Uni during the week but I'm keen to get out and explore Melbourne or hang out and have a drink when I have free time. Other than that I like going to the gym, trying new foods or planning my next trip! Send me a message and we can have a chat :)
Hi guys, my name is Miranda, a 24 year old girl (or women, I think something in between haha) from the Netherlands. I arrived in Melbourne about 7 months ago and totally love it! Not only did I fall in love with the city but also with a real Aussie. I just finished my Masters in Nutrition and Health with an internship at the Royal Childrens Hospital. I am really excited at the moment because they offered me a part-time job as a researcher for 2 days a week (don't worry, I'm not a boring researcher who's wearing a labcoat and glasses all day haha). In addition, I will volunteer for another 3 days a week. In the meantime I will be looking for other full-time jobs too. I really like to bake and cook some healthy meals, sport so now and then (I even started playing footy), and like to be creative with my sewing machine. I've always lived with other roommates and that's really nice because people are often around in the common area. I am really social and like to get to known my roommates, eat together, watch a movie and drink some tea or wine. At the same time I'm very independent so I also enjoy moments to myself. I would love to meet you if you think we will be a good fit!
Hello there future housemate(s), I’m Sanjit, a 22-year-old student who’s looking to move to Melbourne from Brisbane in order to pursue my Master’s degree in Food science at the University of Melbourne. I’m very reliable with rent and other bills (can provide references of previous housemates). I’ve lived in many share houses before so I know the drill! I’m hygienic, clean and tidy! I’m very chilled out and laid-back (so much so that I’m almost horizontal) and hope to find similar easy going and open minded housemates. Looking to rent a place for a minimum of 4-6 months and can extend it if it works out fine. I’m a very sociable person, love going out for food, drinks, movies and would love to find a chilled out place to call home. I also respect everyone’s privacy and will not be constantly pestering you haha. Since I’ll be starting with my Master’s degree, I’ll be pretty busy during the weekdays at Uni but I’m always keen to chill on the weekends. I love watching and playing soccer! (GO Manchester united!) I enjoy scuba diving, longboarding and am now looking into indoor/outdoor rock climbing. Also enthusiastic about patting dogs and watching funny dog compilation videos. I’m an avid music listener! Love rap, hip hop (artists such as Kendrick lamar, Eminem, 2pac, Biggie, The underachievers, Joey badass, J cole etc), classic rock (Pink Floyd, Guns n roses, Aerosmith, The beatles, Jefferson airplane, Creedence Clearwater revival, The rolling stones, Eric Clapton, Queen etc), Electronic (Flume, Nicholas jaar, Odesza, Pretty lights, Eric prydz, Bassnectar etc) and sometimes when I’m feeling classy, I’ll hit up some Wolfgang Mozart (what a ridiculously cool name) or Bach. So if you love music, I’m sure we will get along!! Also, I have a pair of headphones so you don’t have to worry about me blasting loud music. Also down to binge watch movies and tv shows. So, if you think we’d get along and would like to team up or you have a room available in your house, hit me up! I’m currently travelling overseas and will be arriving in Melbourne around the 21st of February. Send me a message if you're interested. Hope to hear from you soon :)
Hi guys, I'm in my early 20's, studying a master course in Design School of Melb Uni. People usually call me a nature lover. I love travelling and enjoy doing some easy hikes. Most of the time I am a laid-back person (except when I am overwhelmed by exams and deadlines :P ) I enjoy spending time exploring various cafes in search of the perfect coffee and desserts, cooking with fresh ingredients from the markets, hanging out with friends or planning my next adventure overseas. I lived in the Netherlands for a year as an exchange student. so I have the experience of living with housemates with different cultural background and habits. Mutual respect is the key to everything. I love learning about other cultures and meeting people from all walks of life. I am not just looking for a place and some flatmates to live with, but a place to be called a second home and some really good friends :). Looking for some friendly and tidy people. Looking forward to see my new housemates!
Originally from country Victoria, I have lived within close proximity to Melbourne CBD for the last 10 years. I work both during the week and on weekends, both jobs involving managing and coordinating staff within the hospitality industry. I am passionate about social justice and also studying Youth Work (currently deferred). I enjoy an active social life and am often out catching up with friends. When at home, I take pride in keeping my environment clean and liveable. One my favourite activities is planning a menu and meal prepping for my work week. So there will always be food around!
Currently working part time at Woolies/a nightclub, studying at RMIT city campus, looking for a laid back, relatively cheap room to rent. Open minded, not fussy about who my roomies are or quality, just need a place to rest my head and chill. Likes hula hooping, going to the gym, having a couple of drinks and meeting new people, trying new things. I also have a kitty but she's back at my parents in Tassie, hoping to move her up eventually but it's not a priority at the moment (unfortunately :( ). Get in touch with me if you like! Cannot go over $200pw sorry!
If you want the short version of me then you've got : open-minded, cheerful and creative. It's true, me myself and I are great people : easy going, clean and always smiling ! I'm looking for a long term accommodation, home to people I can regularly hang out with. I'll share a delicious meal, a good movie or an intense debate any day. But if you need your space, no worries, I'll probably need to get some work done too, eventually... Back in France, I used to study engineering and now, I'm finishing my studies with a one year masters in project management . I'm hoping I'll love it! But I haven't told you of my greatest passion yet! Ah, the wonders of wandering the world. I've had the good fortune of living in several countries (Canada, USA, Netherlands,..) and I've backpacked through quite a few others (Hungary, Benin, Russia, Cambodia,...). I enjoy learning about the world so if you have any stories about places you've been, I'll be happy to hear them! So what do I do when I'm at home and nothing else beckons? I'll cook, sometimes with amazing success and sometimes with ... interesting results... This is also because I love to eat and let's face it : nothing beats a homemade burrito! If I don't feel like mixing spices then I might read. I can do that for hours on end! But if all that lazing around has me bursting with energy, I just might go for a nice long run or turn up at the next yoga class to get some sweating done. Sharp body, sharp mind! So if you're interested in meeting my 22 year old self, I'm basically available 24/7. If you want to have a chat, show me the goods (I am talking about the room eh...) or just hang out, give me a call!
We are an Iranian couple which at present living in Doncaster East, VIC. We are looking for a new shared, clean and calm place. We prefer a place near to public transport. We have a car, as well. We are very quiet and easy going and have no kid and no pet. Not smoking and not drinking. We respect the other people and expect that they do the same about us. Behrooz & Somayyeh
I'm 24 years old and will be moving from Sydney for my Masters at the University of Melbourne. I also definitely intend to work alongside my studies. I have previous experience in living in shared accommodation, so no dramas with sharing/living with other people. I enjoy cooking, watching/playing sports, listening to music and just hanging out for a chat or TV binge 🙂. Preferably looking for places close to the uni such as Carlton, Carlton North, Fitzroy, Parkville, Princes Hill, etc.
I'm a 21 Year old Monash Arts student (Human Rights Major), I bring with me my own furniture (including things for the house if you are in need of more home furnishings- I can palm them off if not!) and good vibes. I bake excellent scones AND am share house trained. I work in the hospitality and nightlife industry which means -BONUS- I'm often not home evenings or weekends, giving you much needed space in sharehouse life. I'm very sociable, love meeting new people and I'm on the hunt for a happy, creative sharehouse to move into.
Hey ! I'm a 22 yo French student just landed here and looking for a home for the next 9 months. I'll be studying engineering management at UniMelb and plan to work part-time to cover entertainment/holidays! I'm really relaxed, friendly and open-minded, always up for a big cook-up or a drink, and more into chill evenings than big parties (eventhough I enjoy those from time to time). I keep tidy, don't smoke and respect privacy. It's not my first experience in house sharing (and it seems that I'm easygoing:)). Otherwise I'm into sports (mainly running), travel, food... I hope to find the right flatmates here, so let me know if you think I can fit in your place - I can't wait to meet you!
I'm a 23 year old postgrad studying full time, as well as working casually to pay bills/rent/buys snacks. I'm friendly, laid back and always up for a chat, but also a pretty quiet person and I respect people's space. I love cooking, traveling, naps, animals and growing plants (still trying to find my green thumb though!). Assessment period always means extreme procrastibaking so if baked goods are your thing I'm probably your girl! I'm always up for sharing a meal or two a week if people are keen, and if my housemates and I like the same shows then watching them together would definitely be something I would get around. While I love a good party every so often I am definitely more of a casual drink at home/in a bar/person. I'm always up for snacks, outdoor adventures and road trips. I've lived in share houses for the last two and a half years, and on campus before that, so I'm used to living with other people! I'm clean, tidy and I always pay bills and rent on time. I really enjoy a more communal lifestyle than just living on my own. I've got savings as well as my job so making rent has never been an issue, and I'm more than fine to pay a bond immediately 😊 my lease with a couple of friends ended on the weekend so I'm pretty keen to find somewhere to live as soon as I can! I really want to find a house that feels like a home with people I look forward to coming home to.
Hello. I'm an exchange student from University of Maryland looking for a place to live near the University of Melbourne. I enjoy cooking, exercising and going out for a drink with friends. Ideally I would rent for 5 to 6 months (February 18th to June 30th or so).
Hello, I'm moving from the Sunny Coast, QLD . I'm studying environmental architecture at Uni Melbourne and I work part- time at a dentist in the city. I have savings and a steady income and have no trouble paying rent on time. I'm clean, tidy, loyal, friendly, creative, and enjoy an active social and healthy lifestyle. I've lived out of home for 4 years now so understand how to communicate and respect my room mates. I respect personal space but also enjoy being surrounded by others. I'm looking for a room that has space to study as soon as possible with preferably females.
My name is Jack, 24, and while I originally hail from the US I've been living/studying/traveling abroad for the vast majority of the last 5 years. I've recently moved to Melbourne after living in the Gold Coast for a few months, and am looking for a place to live more permanently for 6 months+. A little bit about myself - I'm generally a very chill guy who is quite tidy who can keep to myself and works hard during the week. However, I love punctuating those times with nights that contain a beverage or two (or more), a good conversation about life, art and politics, or a good film/documentary (if people are up for it, of course). I studied political psychology at uni in the United Arab Emirates, so I'm always up for a chat about current affairs and why our world seems to be falling apart. I'm also a photographer by trade and profession so I'm constantly trying to take photos and get better at my craft (and maybe give you a profile pic or two in the process). And I'm always into exploring new musical tastes and genres and can easily spend hours exploring the endless wormhole of Spotify as I try to find new and interesting artists to listen to. I'd love to be in a place where all types of music can be played and enjoyed, from jazz to Latvian rock and Senegalese folk to EDM. I am an avid meditator and enjoy sharing a peaceful living space with other open-minded individuals. I am currently a barista/in the process of applying to graduate school, and will be aiming to work full time as soon as possible once in Melbourne. I will happily throw in for any household items needed (the TP will never run out!) and would love to learn how to cook more delicious food alongside my flatmates :) I'm open to all people of all orientations/sexualities/religions/politics. I am tidy with all of my belongings and don't mind pitching in for house cleaning duties. If that sounds good to you, send me a message and we can get talking!
I'm clean, outgoing, well-traveled and love being around people, sharing stories and cooking together. I generally enjoy cleaning the kitchen ( I know-weird right?!), but other than that I am not too picky about the state of cleanliness of the living space (I've lived with all degrees of messy people). AbOuT Me: I am from Germany, but go to university in the United States. I grew up bilingual and have always loved multicultural environments and traveling. I'm also a huge music nerd and going to concerts is my greatest pleasure. Also anything outdoorsy, the beach, hiking is great and I'm always down to try new things. Would love to get in touch!
I am a clean and independent person, I work full time and am often working long hours. I also study so a reasonably quiet place would be ideal. In saying that I love watching the footy and dont mind a few quiet drinks!
Hey, I'm Anna and am looking for a room to rent while studying at the University of Melbourne. I'm in my third year studying business and law. I like to drink coffee, pet stranger's dogs, go on adventures, and occasionally go out with friends or have a few friends over for a drink. However I am also happy to stay at home and read or watch a movie. I have only had female housemates in the past but would be happy to mix it up! I am risy and respectful of common areas and can give others their space when they need it however I would like to find housemates that enjoy hanging out from time to time and get along well. I am American and will be moving to Melbourne from Seattle so it would be a lot easier if there was at least a bed in the room but if its the right fit I'm willing to figure out the furnishing for myself. I am available for inspections now and am available to move anytime between now and the 22nd. Please let me know if you have any questions!
I'm a professional scientist and a vet working with animal reproduction at Melbourne University. I'm quiet and would love to make some friends while I'm here. I'm pretty social, i like gym, social drinks, footy, catching up with mates and traveling, listen to music and movies. I'm looking for a room or apartment furnished.
Hey! I am Simon, a Belgian student of 21 years old. I will be staying at Melbourne during 4,5 months for my Erasmus at Melbourne uni. I am very excited about it! I am hence looking for nice flatmates not too far away from Parkville campus... I intend to spend time with people I will meet, learn a lot of things and try to discover and explore different corners of Australia during my stay. I am easy to live with, clean and I really enjoy life! Doing a lot of sports, watching TV or simply enjoying a beer or two are some of my main interests. I am almost always of nice mood and always ready to make some jokes. Furthermore, I respect other's privacy as I sometimes need my own too. If you are interested in teaming up, do not hesitate to reach out to me asap! Cheers
Looking for a furnished room from mid Feb- mid to end of June or something long term for a a year or longer. Definitely looking for somewhere that has a washing machine and maybe a room that is furnished with at least a bed. I'm a uni student from the US and work 3-4 days a week in the CBD so I'd prefer to live relatively close but would also love to be halfway between school and work with easy public transit. Walking distance to the 86 tram line is a giant plus because it is my lifeline. I love gardening, cycling around Melbourne, live music, watching netflix, meeting new people, swimming laps, or just hanging out and having a drink. Looking for tidy but laid back, eco-conscious roomies so if you have a spare room holla at me! If I'm loving it and it's not too far from uni then I would consider a longer stay (just have plans to be travelling end of June- end of August) Thanks!
My name is Tamara. I'm 28, and I'm an occupational therapist, working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (Royal Park). It's a 9-5 job, and I love what I do. My other interests include: anything musical (I play the violin and piano), running, cooking/baking, cycling, hiking, socialising, food/wine and spending time with friends and family. I'm very easy going, I keep things clean, and I'm respectful of others. I've lived in share houses for years and know how to live happily with other people.
Hey guys I'm Blair, I'm a 26 year old female, originally from NZ but have been living in Queensland and London the last 3 or so years. I work full time on Collins Street so am fairly quiet during the week but enjoy socializing on the weekends; pubs, gigs, food markets, a weekly Kmart visit etc. I'm looking for a private room (not fussed on furnishings), ideally long term from late February-early march. I've been flatting since I was 18 so I'm well house-trained; clean, tidy and aware of the need for personal space. If you have a room suitable I'd love to hear from you. Blair :)
To whom it may concern, I need a room for almost a year. Clean and tidy malaysian studying in University of Melbourne and working part time, thanks. Makes good Chinese dishes and easy going. Thanks.
Hello! I'm an undergraduate student from Singapore who will be studying in University Of Melbourne. I'm a 20 year old Chinese guy, fluent in both English and Mandarin. I like music, night life, outdoor activities, almost all kinds of sports, and visit the gym regularly (literally just everything that a "teenager" loves). I'm usually very quiet, but talkative with people i'm close with. My goal is to get really good results in University, while at the same time thoroughly enjoying this overseas studying experience. I'd love to make new friends and learn about cultures different from mine. Hope to have a pleasant experience with you!
Hey! My name is Dom. I'm a house trained 26 year old electrician, vegetarian, occasional gardener and I have a border collie named Jed. Midweek I spend a fair amount of my time on my own (video games and reading) but always love coming home to a friendly face or two for a beer and a game of anything. Weekends are spent anywhere with a dance floor, I'm happy for some parties to happen at ours but not a necessary or frequent occurrence, no one wants to clean that much. Jed is 7 years old, super well behaved and will sell his soul for single throw of a tennis ball (soul already sold but he'll keep trying). I also come with a Moroccan Soup Bar cookbook, a ute and a decent fridge. Let me know if you'd like to meet me and the dog!
