*ROOM HAS BEEN FILLED, PENDING TENANCY APPLICATION COMPLETION - THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ENQUIRED - NO NEW MESSAGES WILL BE RESPONDED TO AT THIS STAGE* The townhouse is walking distance from the Northbourne Avenue bus stops (and soon the light rail). It's a 10 minute bike ride or 30 minute walk into the city center, and a few minutes from the Dickson Shops and pool. Each bedroom has its own air-conditioning unit, there is a TV in the living room, a pod coffee machine, and a nice backyard with a washing line and an up-and-coming herb garden! The available room is Bedroom 2 in the floor-plan, and the one with the photo of Nefertiti on the wall. It's big enough for a double bed, a desk, and a digital piano, and also has a two-door sliding wardrobe. You have the upstairs bathroom to yourself, and it is right next to the room. Each tenant has their own bathroom. I would prefer to leave my bedframe, mattress and bedside table, but can also leave the room unfurnished if you prefer. An underground car spot is also available, but you will need to discuss the logistics of this with the other housemates. You will be taking over from my lease, which expires on 31 January 2020, after which you will have the option to renew it. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
Hello Potential Housemate! Two lovely rooms are available for rent in Dickson. It is a three bedroom one bathroom house that sits on the border of Dickson and Ainslie, which means it is only 5 minutes walk to either the Ainslie shops (which hosts the best IGA in the world) or Dickson shops and very close to the city. Also right on the doorstep are Mt Ainslie and Mt Majura (lovely walking tracks). The House: The house is a nice 1950s style house, that has been freshly painted, there is a huge backyard complete with two covered areas for entertaining. There is also a big garden outside in the case that you are a bit of a green thumb. The house has plenty of storage space with a big double door garage and a tin shed also. It is also very secure with colorbond fencing on all sides. There is also air conditioning and gas heating in the living room and NBN is in the process of being installed. There is only one bathroom, but it is separate from the toilet, which it makes a bit easier when everyone is showering in the mornings. The Rooms: Both rooms have built in wardrobes and both are a decent size (can easily fit a queen bed plus a desk / other furniture). The slightly larger rooms looks out onto Majura Avenue and is nice and bright. The second room is towards the back of the house and a bit more secluded and peaceful. There is also a spare bed if need be, which can be put in the garage if not required. Rent / Bills: Rent is $200/week for each room and all bills are split evenly between housemates. Bond is equal to 4 weeks rent, you will have to sign a lease, but it is only periodic so you are not locked into anything and are free to leave whenever you like (although long term housemates are preferred).
The apartment is fully furnished and features your own bedroom and bathroom with a queen bed and built in robes, a generous sized living area with lounge, TV, dining table, fully equipped kitchen and study nook. You will have access to an underground secure car park and storage cage (if required). The huge balcony is north facing and there is ducted heating/cooling throughout the apartment as well as NBN. The complex also features a theatre room, pool and gym. Located in the heart of Dickson; 3kms from the CBD and an ideal location that connects to the rest of Canberra via public transport. On your doorstep is also an array of restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and local shops. Weekly rent is $350.00 and a bond of two weeks rent equivalent ($700.00) is required. Bills and NBN internet will be split as they come in, or an additional amount each week is to be paid for bills (depending on length of stay). The room is currently tenanted short term until Saturday 6th April 2019, therefore available from Monday 8th April 2019.
Our house is in a great location! Less than 10 min walk from Dickson shops, 25 min walk to the city and a 10 min bike ride to ANU for students or quick bus ride and "soon" to be light rail as we are a street back from Northbourne ave. Our house is a two-story 3 bedroom with 1 bathroom and 2 toilets. We have a massive backyard and a fenced off court yard so there is plenty of places to sit outside and relax. All the rooms are north-westerly facing so they get plenty of sunlight and warmth during the winter days into all of the house. We are all really chilled and relaxed and we are looking for a like minded person. We are looking for someone who is respectful of other people space and things but is also wanting to be part of our family and have a wine and yarn occasionally. Were not a huge party house but like having friends over occasionally for a few beverages and a boogie and we would love our new house mate to be a part of that as well. We hope to hear from you!
We have two rooms available for rent in a 3 bedroom, dog-friendly, semi-furnished, 2-storey duplex in Dickson. We have two rooms up for grabs that can fit a double bed and desk. There is a shared bathroom and a downstairs toilet. The house has a landscaped front yard with a veggie patch, and covered back deck for entertaining. The backyard is secure - perfect for doggo's of all shapes and sizes (no doggo's currently). The house is located 15mins bike, drive or bus to the city, 100m from major bus routes on Northbourne Ave, easy walk to Dickson shops with a Woolworths and plenty of affordable restaurants and cafe's. There is 1 bed and desk available if you require a furnished room. The room is available for 6-7 months (or up until Oct/Nov), extension may be available. Rent includes unlimited internet. Bills are paid quarterly.
The room you would be in is the biggest in the house and gets nice light in the afternoon. House is a forty second walk from Dickson shops and a five minute walk to Northbourne Ave buses and the new tram. Very good location. We have a growing vege garden. Looking for someone to move in ideally round the 1st April. I will be back on the 15th May so the room would have to be vacated before then. Plenty of storage as well in the garage and cupboards around the house. House has ducted gas heating as it starts to get cold.

Easygoing housemates (+1 one well-behaved and extremely cute black cat) share this light-filled 5 bedroom home in Ainslie. The spacious house stays cool during summer and features all the mod-cons you'd expect: washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, 5-burner range, even a wine fridge. During the cooler months, you can enjoy our wood burner fireplace or our backyard fire pit. The room is well air-conditioned and heated (both central) and comes unfurnished. It's also flexible with furnishings (a queen mattress, bedside table and desk are available). No couples please :) Best of all? The location! The house is a 2-minute walk to Ainslie shops, 5 minutes to the wilderness of Mt Ainslie Reserve and, if you enjoy a tipple, you're just an $8 Uber from Lonsdale Street. I've lived here for 2+ years and will be very sad to farewell it. Send me a message if you'd like to know more about the house! It's available from April 10, but dates can be flexible.
We are looking to fill a room in our five bedroom house around beginning of April. It's a very large old house, with a big garage (currently configured as a home gym) and a big back yard. It's not fancy and doesn't have things like central heating, but we love it. We have unlimited SHDSL internet ($16 each a month), a very large TV in the living room with Netflix/Stan etc., there's a gas stove for cooking and plenty of kitchen appliances/cookware. We have a fridge and washing machine, but our dryer recently broke so would welcome someone who happens to have a decent (functional) dryer. There's extra space/living areas upstairs for guests to stay occasionally, or could otherwise be utilized it anyone has any clever ideas. We are looking for someone who is respectful and tidy, but happy to have a drink and hang out too. Once approved, we expect the new tenant to sign on with us to a new fixed term lease, most likely of 12 months. The room is the smaller of the two bedrooms downstairs (Bedroom 1 on the floorplan), sharing one bathroom (shower over bath) and separate WC (toilet). There is no built in wardrobe, but you will have the option to keep the freestanding shelving/hanging rack for clothes that is already in the room, or to bring/buy your own arrangements. The previous occupant had a king single bed and a desk with space to move, but you could feasibly fit a larger bed if you liked. The house is in a fantastic location near the top end of Braddon, and is walking distance to the city, Lonsdale Street and Ainslie shops. There's two driveways, including room to park off street.
Second-floor apartment in a peaceful leafy neighborhood. Mostly furnished and gets plenty of natural light. Less than a 5 minute walk to the shops and a couple of nice cafes. ANU is a 10min cycle along the bike path. Car space, internet and Netflix available. Room with the TV is the one for rent. Furnishings are flexible. Flexible with the start date. More concerned with finding a suitable housemate than finding someone quickly.
Relisting as previous housemate had a change of circumstances so can no longer move in. 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, nice backyard and outdoor entertaining area. As there is only 3 bedrooms I am happy to share with 1 or 2 others. Rent is $295 each with 2 people or $197 each for 3.
Good size furnished room with wardrobe in a sunny relaxed older style and quirky house. Close to bus and shops. Share with considerate, thoughtful, friendly and mature housemates and bonus cute poodle x companion. Looking for mature housemate (ideally over 30) who is considerate, enjoys household company and also appreciates mutual respect for personal space and privacy. There is a large sunny backyard with many lovely native birds, heaps of herbs and a vegetable patch that needs attention. The house has two living spaces which is a bonus; and the shower, bath and toilet are all separated which also makes for easy sharing despite only having one of each. The house is relaxed but clean (a cleaning roster helps to make this stress free :)). Food and cooking is separate - there is lots of space in kitchen cupboards and extra fridge/freezer. No smoking household.
We’ve got space for one new housemate in our large 5 bedroom sharehouse in Downer. It’s a 2 minute drive to Dickson shops, 10 minutes into Civic, and the EPIC farmer’s markets are just around the corner. Access to public transport is easy with plenty of buses running. And once the light rail is completed, getting to the city will be easier than ever! Your space would be two small rooms for $170. One room could be used as a bedroom, and the other as a study/workspace/creative space. As a bonus, we have a little jack russell in the house to give you cuddles and pretend to be a guard dog. Looking for a housemate that is a young professional or student in their mid-20s to 30s. Must be clean, neat, and laid-back. Hoping to have a house with good family vibes, with frequent family dinners and the occasional night out together.
Hi Potential Housemate! Lovely room for rent in pretty O’Connor. Three bedroom house located one street over from the Lyneham shops which has an IGA, The Front, Tilleys etc. You’re super close to The Duxton and walking distance to Old Canberra Inn and Dickson shops are just down the road. It’s only a $10 uber to the city and there are heaps of bike paths to get there too. Public transport is also at the end of the street and we are close to Belconnen! The House: The house has floor boards throughout and has a renovated kitchen and bathroom with a great shower. There’s a big deck and a good sized backyard and we have a gardener that is part of the rent. The house has plenty of storage space and a shed. The room has new cupboards with good storage and windows looking out to the leafy backyard. You can live out your inner north hipster dreams here with ease. We have awesome ducted gas heating throughout the house and NBN. Rent/Bills: Rent is $190 a week/$830 a month and bills are split evenly. The NBN is $70 a month spilt three ways ($24 each). The bond is $766. Bills are really cheap and our last electricity bill for the quarter was only $80 each and gas was about $100-120 each. Roommates: You’ll be living with two females in their mid-twenties that are all around legends to live with. I’m sad to leave the house and am only leaving because I’m moving overseas! They both work full-time in the public service and like a wine or two after work. Very easy going and friendly house. Looking for another female that is easy going, clean and doesn't mind a chat after work. Preferably want someone to move in on the Monday 1st of April to start the rent cycle as it is paid monthly but can be flexible with dates 😊 Any questions let me know!! Thanks, Helena
Cheap as chips room with an en-suite in the perfect spot has just become available. The room is unfurnished but has built in wardrobes, room for a queen bed & a desk, and activities. The en-suite bathroom comes with all the standard stuff; shower, toilet, sink. The rest of the house is pretty much (Herbie) fully-loaded, with the outgoing housemate only taking a few things (if you've got a table and chairs that’d be ideal) theres a stacked kitchen, coffee machine, TV (with Netflix and NBA included if either of those are your thing), record player with almost too many records and room for more stuff if your into hoarding. The garage is taken but there are ample visitor parking spots available if you have a car, and also tons of bike racks too. But wait there's more. The location is probably the best part of the place. It’s within walking/riding distance to ANU, Lonsdale st, and Civic. And when that tram finally gets finished there'll be a stop pretty much right outside.
If you're interested, feel free to text or call. Looking to fill two rooms in a 3 bedroom house that will be available on the 27th of April. Of the two rooms being vacated, one is rather small and the other is average, but if any prospective housemate(s) would prefer the master bedroom, I’d be happy to shift rooms. The house is in North Downer, a short walk from buses/light rail, and a short drive/cycle from the Dickson shops. It has ducted heating throughout and AC in the spacious main living areas. There’s also a very large backyard with an outdoor woodfire BBQ and gardens that have been well kept for growing vegetables etc. Fruit trees including figs, pears, peaches, cherries and more. LGBTIQA* welcome, couples welcome, pets will have to be discussed with the agent/landlord, but may be allowed (the outgoing housemates have a rabbit, so if you have one of those it’s most likely fine) Rent is currently $510, split depending on the room arrangements and total number of housemates.
The property is located in Braddon (4/42 Ijong Street). The townhouse is half furnished and we are welcome for you to add your own furniture. The property comes with an underground parking spot and comes with air-conditioning. It is 5 mins walk from Lonsdale Street (cool hip cafes) and 10 mins walk to the Civic bus stops and the city.
The house is three bedrooms, located on Phillip Avenue in Downer. It is fully furnhised except for the room available. That said, we can always fit more furniture / store in the garage. The room going is large-ish, big enough for a queen bed and some other furniture, with plenty of built in storage. The house has a large living room, a cosy kitchen/dining, a double lock-up garage and a pool! Oh, and a million fruit trees, ducted heating and air conditioning. The house is a 5 minute walk to Watson shops, a 20 minute walk to Dickson shops and close to the ever majestic Mount Majura. The room is $195 a week + bills/bond. There is unlimited NBN for $20 each a month. There is the option to access streaming services - Netflix, Stan and Foxtel.
Fully furnished house. All that you need, is what you’d like in your bedroom. There is a great Cafe within walking distance. Coffee is awesome. (#1 trip advisor cafe) Dickson shops are not to far away (3min drive), with china town and an array of different tastes. There is a tram stop only a 5min walk from the front door, which will take you into civic. (convenient if working in the city) And a few bus stops. House has unlimited wifi and great spaces for relaxing! I often have bon fires in the back yard through winter. Anything else, please ask. cheers

The town house is in a good location. There's a bus stop right out the front that goes to Civic and to the Dickson shops. There's also a little corner store and cafe across the street. The block of town houses we are in is also starting up a community veggie garden. The neighbourhood is also pretty quiet.
