About the property A large fully furnished quiet bedroom available for rent in Dickson for $220per week. The house is located 10 minutes walk from to the city and 5 minutes drive to the city, 7 minutes walk to Dickson shop. The room is available now. We are looking for a clean and friendly person to share a nice house with other young professionals. We’d prefer a non-smoker, doesnt mind a dog and who is willing to share in the housework. The room includes: - king single sized bed - study desk - build in wardrobe - bedside table - shared bathroom with only 1 other housemate
We have a room available in our beautiful two bedroom terrace on a leafy street in Dickson. - It's just a short stroll to the Dickson shops or Northbourne Avenue - which has the light rail straight to the city! - The place is brand new, fully furnished and has two levels. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the upper level and kitchen and living are ground level. - Double bed with a good (1 year old) mattress in the available room (or you can bring your own bed). - You would have your own bathroom! Move in date can be somewhat flexible.
One temporary (summer) room available in established sharehouse in Dickson. Location is epic: just north of Macarthur & Wakefield, 10 minutes’ walk from Dickson Woolies & Woolley St restaurants, a short detour off the Sullivans Creek bike track, and a few minutes’ walk from the light rail. The room is available from December 14th - ideally it'd be great to rent out until at least January 14th. I'm happy for it to be longer, as long as it's free up again by January 31st. Rent is negotiable - for just the one month I'd be looking at keeping it $175+bills, if you're able to stay for longer I'm happy to negotiate a lower weekly rate. Room has a double bed with a comfortable mattress, two bedside tables, a desk and a dresser. There are 4 built in robe sections in total, 2 will be cleared for subletter use. (Image of room will be uploaded soon) The house has been a student house for a long time but does have a few big pluses: a large backyard with a veggie patch, two storey split so entertaining and study/sleep can happen at the same time, a dishwasher, an espresso machine (which you’re welcome to make use of), and cheap reverse cycle aircon in the living area among others. We have two parking spaces (one undercover and one outside the front door); bikes can be accommodated on the back verandah, in the back yard or in the stairwell.
Our home is a 4-bed brick home. We've converted 1 bedroom into an Arts'Crafts/library space. Our back balcony is large enough for Sunday brunches and barbecues, overlooking a large, overgrown garden which we're trying to rehabilitate with a worm farm & compost heap. Our home gets plenty of sun & has its share of fruit trees. We have Netflix, Amazon Prime, gas induction heating throughout & winter curtains. The room is fully-furnished, with built-in wardrobes, mini-fridge, fan and its own oil heater. We don't mind "untidy" but definitely err on the side of "clean" & appreciate the same in a flatmate.
Move in first of December. Comfy and relaxed house, easy to get along with flatmates. Queer friendly required. The house (outside of the room) is fully furnished (but no TV) but the bedroom only has a small built in wardrobe and is suitable for one person only. Great inner north location, close to the light rail, biking distance to Civic, close to Dickson shops, oval and Ainslie IGA. Unlimited internet only $23.33 each a month. Gas stove and cooktop in industrial chic kitchen. House has a one main bathroom with shower, bathtub and toilet and a separate downstairs toilet- current flatmates have no morning makeup routines. Plenty of on street parking in a leafy residential area. Small dog or cat allowed on the lease, meet dependant. IMPORTANT: we don't have a pet door.
Room available in a beautiful brand new terrace in the Haus Lane development in Dickson. The location is very close to Ainslie (with Australia's best IGA - that cheese section!) and Braddon (Canberra's best place for coffee and dog spotting). While the street address is Majura Avenue, the property is actually off the main road so it's relatively quiet. More photos of the rest of the property to come soon :) The room can fit a double bed and has a built in wardrobe. You will have your own bathroom with heaps of storage. On street parking is available on Dooring Street.
Room for sublet over the summer. Beautiful house opposite park and wetlands in Dickson. Short ride to Dickson shops/pool and the city. We have an epic sunny deck with a couch to catch arvo sun and small scruffy dog named Cruiser (super friendly and relaxed).
The apartment is fully furnished and features your own bedroom and bathroom with a queen bed and built in robes, a generous sized living area with lounge, TV, dining table, fully equipped laundry, kitchen and study nook. You will have access to an underground secure car park and storage cage (if required). The huge balcony is north facing and there is ducted heating/cooling throughout the apartment as well as NBN. The complex also features a theatre room, pool and gym. Located in the heart of Dickson; 3kms from the CBD and an ideal location that connects to the rest of Canberra via public transport. On your doorstep is also an array of restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and local shops. Weekly rent is $350.00 and a bond of two weeks rent equivalent ($700.00) is required. Bills (electricity and water) and NBN internet will be split as they come in, or an additional amount each week is to be paid for bills and internet (depending on length of stay). The room is available from mid Dec 2019.
The house is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom place - main with ensuite - separate living and dining, decent sized kitchen with modern appliances, paved area out the back door under a pergola and well established gardens (including a mulberry and fig tree and a vege patch). There's a double carport available, a shed/garage and a studio out the back – currently used for bikes and furniture overflow. AC in the dining and kitchen, which can also cool the lounge. We also have three chooks, which are laying a plenty of eggs. The room is large enough to fit a queen bed with space all around (3.5x3.5m) and has a large built-in, but otherwise unfurnished. The room used to rented out to boarders (20+ years ago), so it has a lock on the door and another door that opens into the back yard. The shared spaces are furnished - couch, dining table, cabinets, fridge. There is room for some more stuff. If you've got your own furniture/appliances, we are happy to shuffle stuff around to make things work. There's also a bit of storage space available for overflow. The garden will need a bit of attention, mostly watering so it doesn't die, mowing and oppressing the weeds. The owner will organise any of the more serious gardening. Ideally, we'd like a housemate that the gardening thing appeals to, so that helping with the maintenance is not so much of a chore. The place stays pretty clean and tidy most of the time. We are looking for someone who can clean up after themselves without needing a reminder to do so. We're generally pretty quite, with the occasional board game night or dinner together. Bills in addition to the rent and split equally. The room is available now. If this sounds like your kind of place, get in touch with a bit about yourself.
I am advertising my current room to be rented out whilst I go home over the summer holidays. The apartmemt is fantastic and positioned perfectely in the middle of Dickson. We live above many cafes and resturants and are situated opposite a service station and only 100m from the Supermarket. Anything you need, whether it be food, clothes, gym, coffee (best coffee in canberra is accross the road), are all less than 2 minutes walk away and so living in this area is made very very easy. Alongside the great position, the apartment itself is also ideal. It has plenty of space for 2 people including two separate balconies and has all amenities already included (dishwasher, fridge, washing machine, dryer, television, Netflix etc.). The bedroom available is also completely furnished with a bed, two bedside tables and a shelf space however this can be adjusted depending on the preferneces you have. I beleive this apartment would suit anybody and its position as well as its amenties, would make the transition process into this apartment very comfortable. As i have stated, you will be living with one other, very kind and friendly person who spends most of the day outside of the apartment. There is also a chance he will go home over the holidays as well however this decision hasnt been finalised. This apartment will be available from the 8th of Novemeber onwards and I am very flexible with how long you decide to stay here for. I believe this apartment would be perfect for somebody moving to Canberra, who needs a place they can simply move straight into. However, regardless of circumstances, I cannot stress how suitable this apartment is considering both how close it is to everything as well as the apartment itself and so i believe it would be perfect for almost anybody looing for a new place. I have attached several photos of the apartment and am happy to answer any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Jude.
The house is in a great location: multiple bus stops around the corner, tram 10 minutes walk, ANU 20-15 minute bike ride. Dickson shops, including Woolworths is a five minute walk, also very close to Dickson playing fields and Mount Ainslie reserve. House has a fireplace for winter, one shared bathroom and a comfy lounge and dining area for relaxing after work. House is currently fully furnished (except for the room), but possible to fit some small bits and pieces if needed. We have a lovely backyard which is great for a bbq, plus fruit trees in spring and summer. Two chickens and the beginnings of a veggie patch.
Well-lit house on a fairly quiet street close to the Ainslie and Dickson shops, the ANU and ACU and Civic. The room fits a double bed, desk and a chest of drawers and also includes a built in wardrobe. You would be sharing a house with two students.

One room in a gorgeous modern house available in Crace. The house is a four bedroom, two bathroom house; sharing with two mid-twenties ladies, two dog and two cats. The pets are part of the family so loving animals is an absolute must 🙂 Bills and rent are split evenly. The house has effective heating and cooling, NBN wifi, dishwasher in the lovely open kitchen and is totally furnished except for the bedroom. It is only a ten minute walk to Crace shops where you'll find a great supabarn, two cafes, a gym, a bar/restaurant, hair salon, massage parlour and takeaway. Ten minute drive to Gungahlin and Belconnen and fifteen to Civic. The neighbourhood is a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood with lots of parks and a running/ walking trail that goes right past the house. Our street only has houses on one side of the street, with the other side an open park. This makes it a very quiet place to live with lots of parking.
The flat is very light and spacious. It's within a quiet complex which has a nice communal garden. We are right in the centre of Barton and close to lots of good bars and cafes . The Barton grocer is about 5 mins away and it's about a 15 min walk to the Kingston shops/foreshore. The bedroom has a good sized wardrobe and a nice view. There is a double bed mattress available if you would like to use that. The bathroom is shared. It is quite large with a separate bath and lots of storage. There is a giant water heater so no issues with cold showers :) The living room has floor to ceiling windows out onto the balcony which is nice and leafy. The communal areas of the flat are pretty much fully furnished, but I'm happy to try and make room if you would like to bring anything along. There is a smart tv and happy to share a Netflix account The kitchen is a good size and I have all the basics; appliances, dishes etc. and there is a dishwasher. I just don't have a microwave but if you want to bring one that would be fine. Separate laundry w storage, washer and dryer. There is no air conditioning but the apartment stays pretty cool and we were fine last summer just occasionally using fans. There are wall heaters in the living room/bedrooms. Parking I am already using the allocated undercover parking space for the flat. There is lots of on-street parking around the complex, however most of this is max 2 hours during weekday working hours. There is a row of all day street parking just across the road. My previous housemates have not needed to leave their car during the day so I am not certain how hard it is to get one of these spots. I have checked with the building management if any of the spots in the undercover carpark are available but I am just waiting for their response. I will update this listing when I have this info.
