Our house: Bills are electricity, water, internet and household products (cleaners ect). Internet is unlimited and through Optus. Such an awesome, safe, friendly neighborhood to live in! We have been here for 1.5yrs. We are super close to the Holland Park West busway (just at the end of the street and across the road - 5 min walk). The house is very open, breezy and light! Our bathroom is my favorite!! An awesome waterfall shower head (also a normal head if you prefer) and the bath is actually perfect! We have a second toilet downstairs as well. Our room is downstairs, and yours is the opposite end of the house. We have a nice yard and garden shed. There is room for at least 4 cars in the front yard without anyone blocking each other in. Garden City is about 10 min drive. Carindale is about 15 mins. The Valley is about 15 mins and so is the city. Supermarkets very close also. Really such an awesome house and location for everything! Your room has an aircon, please do not be using it often at all unless you are willing to pay extra in electricity. It is very expensive to run air conditioners and we don’t use ours much (maybe a few of the hottest days of summer because they’re unbearable but that’s it - we try to keep cool other ways or go places on these days to avoid this) We have all the household furniture and items - you just need to furnish your bedroom! ** if you are a couple, you will need your own fridge as ours is only big enough for 1 more person - unless you’re only going to take up 2 shelves in the fridge and 1 shelf in the freezer! :) Rhys & I have 2 of the 4 rooms. Your room will be the one in the pictures at the end of the hallway, if you wish to pay extra there is a room beside that you can have as well as a study/extra storage - if you are a couple like us you can also have the 2 rooms. Rent for 2 rooms will be $255 for a couple, $245 for a single person. Every week money has to be transferred to the rent account for internet, water and electricity. Water is approx $20/month ea ($5/wk), Electricity approx $60/month ea ($15/wk), Internet is $62.19 total every month - with 3 people, $20.85/month ea ($5.18/wk), with 4 people, $15.55/month ea ($3.89/wk). We transfer money for household products when needed, this works out to be around $10 a month each. This is only approximately, if the bills total to actually be more or less we will have to transfer more or if it’s less money will be sent back to you. If you are only 1 person, after you move in we may look for someone else to take the 4th room in the house which will reduce everyone’s rent and internet costs if we all agree and want to do this! We are not set on this as we enjoy only having 3 people, but it is an option if all 3 of us are in agreeance!
