Ahoy, We are looking for another roommate for our townhouse in Merewether. The room for rent is upstairs is unfurnished, optional cupboard. You would be sharing the upstairs bathroom (shared between 2). We have a small garden which we grow veges. We also have Foxtel and a large screen projector great for watching sport and movies! It’s a great spot, close to the beach and town.

Perfect place for somebody wanting to be close to everything! The place is within a couple of blocks from the beach/baths, local pubs/restaurants (the prince, the burwood, merewether surfhouse, the beaches) and local shops. Lounge room opens onto a balcony that’s great for sitting outside reading. There will be space for any furniture you might have as well as a lockable storage area downstairs next to the car port. Water is included in the rent so the only other bills we pay are electricity (quarterly) & internet (monthly). Very low maintenance as the building is under strata & the real estate is always super easy to deal with for repairs, etc. Friendly neighbours all around us, never any noise or dramas.

This is a 2 bedroom art deco designed apartment in the heart of Cooks Hill. The property is light filled, with high ceilings and bamboo wooden floor boards - the photos (due to my crappy camera) do not do it justice. The best feature of the house is the living room, which flows out to an east facing veranda which captures the morning sun and sea breeze. The room on offer is cosy (4 x 2.7), but large enough for a double bed. It has a small wardrobe space but is best complimented with a clothes rack. The apartment is well positioned: 600 metres from Bar Beach, minutes walk to the Ori and Lowlands, and striking distance to your favourite cafes at Darby St and the Junction shops. The house is pretty Eco friendly and has rainwater tanks that connect to the washing machine and toilets, a 10Kw solar system, insulation and reverse cycle A/C. A Tesla Powerwall is planned when they release the next model. The house itself is fully furnished. We try and keep an even mix of male and female students as we find it works best for everyone. The house itself is a six bedroom, three bathroom federation style house that is fully restored in Federation period style. It's handy to shops, public transport, pool, pubs, cycleways and being close to both the city and uni campuses it's a great place to live. Four weeks bond is payable prior to moving in as well as 100 points of ID and your UoN student number. We rarely have any problems filling the rooms and give the tenants ownership of the place which usually includes the students themselves interviewing all the potential housemates to see who would be the best fit in the case of a vacancy at the end of the year. Strictly no smokers. No pets. No drugs. CLEANLINESS!!! A cleaner will come once a week to clean all the common areas. She is not there to clean up after you in any way. I can’t stress this enough.
