I'm a graphic designer and I run my own freelance design company. I work from home most days and also on the road a fair bit to meet clients. I'm looking for a room to rent in a suburb not too far out with people who are friendly and considerate and wouldn't mind sharing with a very cute and friendly dog. I'm a pretty social person, and love catching up with mates for dinner and drinks on the weekends or go for bike rides. I'll describe myself as easy going and clean and like to to maintain the shared living environment in a clean and hygienic state. I have lived in share houses for many years so I know how to be a decent and considerate housemate. I also have a 5 year old Japanese Spitz who is completely house trained. He doesn't chew except his own toys, and he's very laid back and friendly and doesn't bark much at all. He is great with cats and other small dogs, but is scared of big or aggressive dogs. But he will pretty much follow you everywhere and loves food!
I have recently completed my Masters in Environmental and Energy Engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK. I am moving to Melbourne to look for job opportunities and to explore the australian lifestyle. It will be great to find some nice people to live with and who are easy going. I am clean and tidy and have been living on my own for a long time now in shared houses so i am quite comfortable with people around.
Hi, My name’s Zam, in my early 30’s and earn my cash working full time as a Photoshop and video editor. I like cycling around town, gym/a bit of yoga, eating well, listening to music and also making a bit of it on my computer (which I'm totally considerate of other housemates with). I'm looking to find a place in Elwood, Balaclava, Ripponlea, St Kilda East, etc. I’ve been share housing for the past 14 years so know the drill! I’m clean, respectful, open minded and easy going, prefer open communication and of course pay rent and bills on time. I’m looking to be in a place where the vibe is relaxed and social, with the odd intellectual and/or bit of silly banter, while also respecting each others space for doing their own thing when it calls. Not looking for a party house as those days are (mostly!) behind me, with that said I'm by no means a party pooper either. Cheers PS. I don't come with the cat in my pic!
Two friendly/relaxed Melbourne locals that keep busy during the week with work - one economist and one teacher. We play football and enjoy socialising/having a few drinks on the weekend. Seeking two other clean and tidy housemates to create a fun house with a communal environment. 250 per week each.
On offer is a lease in a beautifully renovated Tudor house located in a quiet side street off Chapel Street. Three bedrooms, one large bathroom (double sink, double shower). High ceilings with polished floorboards throughout. Large cathedral-ceiling living room out the back with a spacious kitchen (gas appliances, double sink), courtyard with decking and a brick lined side alley. No off-street parking but plenty of on-street parking. Balaclava train station is a five minute walk away and there is a tram stop within 200 metres. One generous, well lit and clean bedroom is available. Total weekly rent is $732, $244 each. Internet and bills not included. The room is available as of January 08/0/18. Send us a message and tell us a bit about yourself!
My name is Radislav. I looking for a place around St Kilda, St Kilda East, Elwood, Balaclava. During the week I work as an Accounts Payable/Receivable. On the weekend I catch up with my friends. I like going to gym, swimming, see new places.
I am moving from Bendigo back to Melbourne for work. I work as an allied health professional (Occupational Therapist), I will be working in Kooyong. I’ve been living in sharehouse in Bendigo with 1-2 other housemates. Happy to live with both guys and girls. Looking for a friendly, relaxed, smoke free home. I love a wine here and there, definitely not a night owl. I enjoy going to gym, pilates and walks to the park/beach 😊
I'm 22 and I'm a kiwi, I enjoy socializing and meeting new people! I like to be outside but I also love to binge watch programmes and watch movies! I am vegetarian but totally okay with meateaters ;) I'm looking for somewhere more permanent to settle into, I work full-time in the CBD so preferably somewhere with good PTV accessibility.
Easy going, chill, respectful, clean and neat/tidy. I am a full time photographer working in the CBD, I am currently looking for a room, preferably ensuite- unfurnished, in a share house as I am currently looking to relocate closer to the city.
Hello we are a finnish-japanese couple looking for a furnished short term room for 3 months. To tell a bit of us, we're a very easy going and friendly couple who like to share a lots of smile and positive energy to everyone. In our lives I (YUI) used to be a hairdresser for several years in England and HENNA is a fine art artist good in design drawing and making craft. We are both passionate about traveling, arts, music, reading, yoga meditation and seeking for new experiences and learning from other people and cultures. Please drop me a text if there's any listings you might know, cheers:)
Hey there! We are two 26 year olds with 2 dogs looking for a new place to call home! The place we are renting has been sold so we are looking to start a new lease between Jan & March as we are flexible on our move out date pending houses available. We have lived together for 2 years and would love to find another flatmate to live with us. We both work full time, are active on our weekends and share the odd meal/drink here and there. Our budget is $250 per week each excluding bills but we would of course like to find something less than this, around the $200 per week mark. We are hoping to find a flatmate who can bring the positive vibes, is clean, reliable on paying bills and rent and doesn’t mind living with 2 dogs (a Kelpie and a Yorkie). If you are looking to start a flat share we would love to hear from you or if you have a place and think we would suit we would also love to hear from you! Al & Jen
Spacious, newly-renovated top floor apartment, conveniently located a 5 minute walk from Dandenong Road trams, and a 15 minute walk from Carlisle Street/Balaclava Station. The apartment includes ducted heating and air-conditioning, supporting a substantial open-plan living/dining area with dining table, 65" TV and couches. There is a fully equipped modern kitchen with large fridge/freezer, Miele oven, gas stovetop and dishwasher. The bathroom includes a shower and a spa bath, with a toilet in a separate room. There is also a laundry with a Bosch washing machine. Heaps of unlimited street parking too! The bedroom is approximately 3.5m x 2.7m, which fits a Queen size bed and desk. It also includes one built-in-robe, and a large awning window that allows natural light and air movement. You will be living with a couple in their mid twenties, who both work in the Film/TV industry. We are both friendly, sociable, well-travelled and love to talk, particularly about film, music and culture. We are both respectful of others space, and importantly neat and tidy. Utilities are split evenly between housemates as received. Unlimited ADSL2+ internet included in rental price. We are looking for someone who works full time like us, and is happy to contribute to the housework and help to stock communal items. Bedroom available from Thursday. Sound interesting? Send us a message to arrange an inspection. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I work full time in South Yarra & I'm currently living towards the Peninsula so im hoping to find a new place closer to work. I spend alot of time out and about so you will be able to have space alot of the time. In saying that ide love a housemate who joins me on my adventures from time to time. A glass of wine, food and a good track = happy me. Im fun and love to have a joke. Looking for people of similiar age to myself, who are employed to team up with.
A hidden gem ... that's the best way to describe this flat. Located on the corner of Alma and Chapel you have the tram pretty much on your doorstep, and Alma Park is just across the road and plenty restaurants in windsor and balaclava just a 10 mins walk away. As the flat is tucked away in the courtyard, you don't get any of the traffic noise... As I will be up for work in Sydney for the next couple of months, I'll be renting the master bedroom out. The flat is fully furnished ( incl even linen and towels if required). You'll pretty much have the entire place to yourself as I will only be in Melbourne 2-3 days per month ( during which I'd be staying in the spare room )
Looking for a quiet, discreet professional, student or traveler with a fairly well developed sense of etiquette. This apt has a lovely, peaceful ambience, loads of character and has been immaculately maintained. This 2nd floor apartment is situated high up on the hill and is spacious, light and sunny with north, east and west views. The private, roof top deck is an extra special addition and provides stunning views of the city scape. The incredibly comfortable interior with eat in kitchen and open living room space means two people can share with plenty of privacy. The neighborhood is leafy and a little quieter than the busier Balaclava and St. Kilda which are both within minutes by tram away. Public transport all close by. Hospitals, shopping center all within minutes. Beach 10 mins by tram. The # 16 and # 3 trams go into the City via St Kilda beach. 30 mins into City, 10 mins to beaches. Bus right outside the apartment building also goes into the city.
I am a friendly and sociable guy who gets along well with others. I enjoy making friends but will be respectful and courteous. I am active and work full time in the CBD in recruitment. I really love food, fitness, travel and getting out seeing events in melbourne. Looking to relocate from far north in preston to somewhere closer to the city.
We are both chilled out and social people who would like to live with people we would feel comfortable hanging out with (whether that is sipping a cuppa and watching the premier ledge together or having a wine on the deck with some cool tunes). We are both tidy, friendly and sharing. We love a good ol' glass of red during the week and maybe a bottle on the weekend? Will is great at killing spiders (very important) and I quite often steal my Nonna's recipes when we're feeling like a cheat meal...
Lovely and very large light filled upstairs furnished bedroom with sunset balcony heating/air conditioning. Great outdoor and indoor spaces throughout the home including fireplace, piano, and outdoor studio space. We are an open, easy going, wellbeing focused, co-sharing community interested in creativity, enviro and social change. The home is generally alcohol and drug free and a few are vegan (but not in a judgemental way). People love living here. Currently people from Chile, Sth Africa, France, USA. I teach coaching at uni and run a social enterprise. Shani is our uber gorgeous staffy x dog, who loves anyone who will walk her.
Just moved over and looking for somewhere to call home, new to Melbourne amd looking to make friends. Work in marketing and really easy going, enjoy a good night out at the weekend and clean. Would be delighted to see what accomodation is available. Niall
I'm from Japan. I came here as an exchange student. I'm currently studying at Deakin University. I'm looking for a private room with furnished. I need to stay by the end of February or beginning of March.
Hey! I'm Louise, I am 26 years young! I'm a fun and friendly melbournian primary school teacher. I live for brunch, I would not call myself energetic but I love going on adventures and enjoying what Melbourne has to offer. I enjoy going out on the weekends and I also enjoy staying in with netflix and some trashy reality TV, a drink or two and some good company. I have lived in flat shares before in London, and understand the importance of looking after communal areas, but I am in no way a neat freak. I am looking for a home where I can hopefully find some new friends, not just a room.
26 yo girl who is going to spend this year in Australia. I studied language in university and speak English and intermediate Spanish. Plans for this year are to make money and live like a local in Melbourne for 10-11 months, meet as many locals and people from different cultures as possible, become a better version of me and then travel the rest of Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia for several months. I enjoy movies, photography, dancing, books, kitesurfing annnd camping. Love plants and animals, especially dogs. I value a peaceful home environment where housemates are careful to respect each other, but like a chat and socializing, as well. I try to keep things clean but not in an obsessive way. Very meticulous about paying the rent on time.
To my future housemate: I love to make the house where I live feel like HOME. I enjoy time by my own but also sharing and talking with people. I work in engineering so during week I will be busy :) I am tidy and easy going. Dali (my cat) is the best cat you will ever meet!!! My friends call him puppy 😍 he could stay in my room if you like to, but I am pretty sure you will love him !!
Hello! I am an Analytics Consultant and recently moved to Melbourne. I am from India and am now looking for a place here to call home. As much I love getting out, I also enjoy days that are all about chilling at home and just going with the flow. I like to keep things simple and neat and am currently obsessing over Japanese food and swimming while trying to live a good life.
