Like to keep things tidy. Social drinker slash smoker but not habitually. Happy to help out with food or just lend a hand. At Rosny College on weekdays. Not adverse to a little fun.
Hi everyone :D I'll be doing one semester at UTAS and looking for a potentiel home for my stay (feb-june). Ideally would be around Battery Point, but flexible about location. Very outdoorsy person, who's always up for an adventure. Very outgoing and social, and would love a place where we maybe cook dinner together sometimes, but at the same time respect the need for privacy.
Hello! I work full time as a graduate journalist. I like a good chat and people to laugh with and although I can't handle partying too often I love a good dance. I'm a vegetarian and love to cook curry, among many other things. In my spare time I do yoga, read books and play music. I'm looking for a house close to the city with people who are easy going and up for good banter.
This cosy, fully furnished and self-contained cottage - suitable for a single person or a couple - is at the rear of a beautiful 5 bedroom home, and rent includes all expenses such as NBNCo, water, gardener and a cleaner. It is SO close to everything in Sandy Bay. Post Office, Woolworths, Health Food store, Bakery, Coffee shops, 3 Chemists, numerous restaurants including 3 x for Pizzas, doctors, hairdressers and 2 x 24-hour gyms are just 1 - 2 blocks away. UTAS is 10 minutes walk away. There are vegetables growing in the back yard, and the Dr Syntax Hotel and Beer Garden is less than 2 minutes walk away. Only on-street parking is available, and there are some all-day spots close by - otherwise, it is 2-hour parking. Or you may be able to leave your car parked at the Dr Syntax carpark if you speak VERY nicely to the licensee :-) NBNCo is Active - very fast SO close to Sandy Bay Shopping Precinct Super comfortable Double Bed All linen supplied. Relaxing outside area, with table and chairs Barbecue and some gym equipment Wardrobe space Plenty of street parking
I am moving to Hobart after 9 years living in Queensland. I am a hospitality worker and love to cook and explore new places on my spare time. I'm looking for a quite and peaceful place to live where I can retreat after a busy day.
The house has a really perfect location. Only steps distance from the beach and 5 minutes walk to Coles. For those who study at UTAS, you can walk to school within 10 minutes everyday and never have to worry about being late. You can walk to three different bus stops within 5 mins as well. Our neighbors are nice and respectful people. The house only has two bedrooms, you will live in the master one. Your room is furnished with everything you will need. The bed is king size. Our living room is big enough for us and there is an area for dining. Separate bathroom and toilet are both clean and bright. We have a yard and parking area outside. There is another little house for storing stuff. We will share electricity and internet bills. The water is included in rent. Generally, it's a perfect one to live in. If you want to stay for the long term, you can sign the contract directly with our nice Tassie landlord.
Hi, My name is Swathi. I've been in Melbourne for 5 years, I used to work full time and now I'll be moving to Tasmania for my studies. I am very easy going person, I respect my housemates privacy and clean up after myself. During my weekends I just like to chill out, hang out with my friends and wouldn't mind grabbing a beer with my housemates.
Hi everyone! My name is Wes. I am a health professional recently moved to Tas from the mainland. I have years of house sharing experience in both Canberra and Adelaide and I am happy to provide reference if needed. A little bit about myself: I am busy with work and study. I love being outdoor and usually spend my weekends doing outdoorsy stuff. But I also enjoy watching movie/Netflix at home during the week. I would consider myself an easy-going and considerate person and always clean up after myself. It would be nice to share a place with people in the West/ Southern part of Hobart. I would also consider teaming up with someone who has not found a place in Hobart and willing to move in early April. Please flick me a text message or message me here if you have any question. Cheers! :)
Hi! I'm from Singapore, studying at UTAS. I moved to Hobart in 2016 from Melbourne. My ideal chill night is curling up with a good book on my Kindle with a nice warm cup of tea. I mostly keep to myself, and am clean and tidy. I do not party or smoke. I've got a pretty heavy school load, so sleep is really precious to me! I would leave the house early for school, and would be out be at the library or the gym, back around 6 or 7 pm. I'll be in Hobart on the 21st Feb :) Hope to hear from you soon! 😊
Hi future roommate, you will share the house with me, a female master student majored in IT. I'm a quite easygoing and friendly person. I studied Advertising in Melbourne for three years, and now I‘m an expert in sharing accommodation with others. Currently, I've rented a perfect house. You can find more property information from my list. Most time I will study at the library. When I have free time, I enjoy art and culture kind of things, such as reading, painting, and writing novels. If you like GOT as well, the wonderful thing is that we might watch season 8 together in April. Sometimes I like to explore outdoor natural scenery, walk along the seaside and stare at cloud doing nothing. I hope we can make the house a warm and comfortable place to live in. Hopefully, we can become friend in each other's life journey.
Hi there! I've been living in my current place in Sandy Bay for about three years but unfortunately my landlord is selling place so I have to move out. I'm originally from New Zealand but Hobart's been my home for a long time now. I like to fix up old bicycles, and I volunteer at the Hobart Bike Kitchen when I'm not working in the city. I love music, and have done since I began listening to my brother's vinyl collection in the 70s and I'm still onto something new every month. I've been involved with the Wilderness Society for a few years now and help out where I can. When I'm at home I like to fix bicycles (did I mention bicycles?!), read sci-fi books, go mountain biking with my friends or go for walks. I'm pretty handy about the house and happy to repair things as I go. I tend to eat out, so I don't use the kitchen and I always tidy up after myself. I respect my housemates' personal space and their privacy, but I like a chat as well. I pay all my bills on time and pay my rent like clockwork. All in all, I'm pretty low maintenance :) I'm looking for something with easy access to the city on a bike or bus, between $180 and 220, depending on the place. Looking forward to meeting you!
I am a commencing utas student. I am a really friendly and outgoing guy, I like talking and hanging out with people. With my company the sharehouse would be full of joy and happiness. Also, I am a really tidy person, I don’t like my room being messy and dirty, so I will keep my room all the time.
I am Trang, come from Viet Nam. This is the first time I move to Hobart for studying Accounting master course in UTAS so I am curently looking for a room in Sandy Bay or Moonshine or Newtown which are close to bus stop or UTAS Campus. Several things about myself: friendly, respectful, clean, helpful and not a party girl. I love cooking and do not afraid sharing house chores with other flatmates or helping around. I am a non-smoker also. My hobbies include travel and walking in my leisure time.
Hey! I'm looking for a place, I'm open to joining an existing sharehouse or teaming up and starting a new one. :) I do have a 3 year old cat, she's got quite the personality, I think she's fun to have around. She's not great with other animals though so I'd prefer her to be the only animal, but other animals could potentially be introduced after she's settled in (if you're wanting to get a pet at some point). I love having people to talk to and hang out with after getting home from work, but I also love and need my alone time and respect that others do too. I'm not a big partier but I like to have people over for my birthday and also the odd movie night. I don't smoke, I don't drink a lot (just socially). I have a car and would really prefer off street parking! Unless the street is super quiet and therefore a park is always guaranteed. Please send me a message if you have anything for me or would like to team up!
A townhouse right in the middle of Sandy Bay. The house has 3 bedrooms (where I, Stacey & Javier live), and there's a cabin at the back which would be yours. You'd have a separate entrance, and your own bathroom/toilet. The kitchen is pretty well equipped and the house is decently furnished. The girl who is moving out will be selling her bed, in case you need one :) The photos attached are of the cabin & the house (the house's current furnishings are different to what's shown in the photos). We also have a lovely courtyard, and two cute doggos. The rent is $162.5/week and the place is located almost right opposite Woolies in Sandy Bay. Its a 10min walk to the uni, and 20min walk to the city. The bus stop is a min walk from home, and short beach is at a 5-10min walk as well. Ideal for someone who works in the city or is studying at UTas. Please message in case you'd like to come see the place or have any questions. Cheers!
Hi :) My name's Talitha, I'm from Western Australia and I will be heading back over to Hobart on the 30th of January to begin my second year of a Bachelor of Marine and Antarctic science at UTAS. In my spare time I enjoy surfing, freediving, cooking and any and all adventures! I am quiet and quite clean so I am searching for a place with flatmates of similar qualities. I do enjoy a social drink and chat, however I also appreciate personal space and as I am a full time student and casual worker I am not interested in a party house. Looking for a place preferably close to UTAS. I am flexible with the length of stay, but ideally I would like somewhere until the end of the university year. I am also happy to team up with people and search for a rental together. Thanks!
