$250/week•47 year old woman
First up - the rent amount, duration of stay and move date have flexibility. 😊
I turned 47 a couple of months ago, don’t have any kids, and love to live an active and healthy lifestyle. I love my routine of getting a good nights sleep (early to bed and early to rise - love my dawn twilight hours!) so I can enjoy productive, rewarding and fulfilling days - whether that’s in my work or spare time. So, while I do enjoy the occasional drink, it is very occasional, and I no longer consider myself a drinker - unlike the old days, I can go weeks/months at a time without one!
✨ I consider my home my sanctuary and place I can relax and enjoy for time out from my otherwise pretty active life. I love to live in a home that feels uncluttered and organised, where maintaining clean and tidy shared living areas is second nature to everyone using the space - apart from making some great friends - my best flatmate experiences have been where routine chores get done without fuss, i.e. we all just pitch in, clean up after ourselves and it flows nicely. Another key ingredient I am looking for is mutual respect with regard to keeping noise levels down during usual sleep routine times.
I respect my housemates belongings, including food and consumables, meaning I would never help myself without shared/established understanding - making sure to use my own - and expect the same in return.
I love to eat healthy and regularly use the kitchen to cook food in advance for lunches and dinners - I keep my fridge fairly stocked/freeze meals, so need reasonable space in the house fridge and freezer - or I can bring my own if there is space for one.
I play and sing campfire level acoustic guitar, as well as tinker on the piano (I have a digital piano that I mostly play with headphones) and seek out a secluded space to jam (usually in the privacy of my bedroom) a few afternoons a week, but do go through patches where I realise I’ve been distracted with other things and haven’t played for a week or two. I have fairly eclectic taste in music, and while I don’t anywhere near as much as I used to, I love going to see live bands, festivals and concerts.
I love adventuring, so packing an esky for the day and going for a drive to find new places to explore, go for walks, hang out at the beach or browse local markets, reading, journaling, swimming, yarning with the people you meet along the way, spotting or watching wildlife.
I am a health professional and work flexible part/full-time Monday-Friday, running my own private practice from home (remotely - I visit people in their homes, so no business traffic comes to the house), so need reliable wi-fi and privacy for the occasional Telehealth call and meetings. I would love to find a home where there is a separate and small private space included in the rent where I can set my office up and not need to have it set up in my bedroom, as the latter is not sustainable long-term.
My pet is inclined to turn people off, but I assure you, unless you go looking for him, you won't even know he exists. I keep him in my room, he makes no noise, is very clean and extremely easy to look after. He is a small Stimsons python (snake). I guard him with my life, as he is very gentle and cute (believe it or not) - so much so that he spooks himself with his own tail. 🤣
