About me

What I'm Looking For/TLDR;
Ideally, a clean, friendly, and considerate flatmate who shares a similar rhythm: respectful of each other's space and routines during the week. I love a home where a shared meal or a chat happens naturally when the vibe is right, but without any forced expectations - though definitely looking for someone who enjoys a warm, friendly household rather than living with a total stranger.

I need to bring my own Queen size bed and I'm planning on using public transport as much as I can, so 10/15 minute walk to a train station would be ideal, with a 15-30 min door to door commute to the city.

✨ A bit more about me and what I'm looking for✨:

I have just landed in Sydney, staying temporarily with a friend in Potts Point, while I look for a place to call home. I grew up here, but left against my will over 20 years ago, so after living and travelling to different corners of Australia and the world, am stoked to be back.

I’m an experienced flat-sharer looking ideally to live with just one other person, or potentially a friendly, easygoing couple ✨. I love a genuine chat and have made lifelong friends from flat-sharing over the years, but I also can’t live without my downtime and enjoy retreating to my room to recharge.

My space needs to feel like home - chilled out, clean, and shared by simply pitching in and keeping things straightforward without any need to overthink or worry about balancing the load with shared responsibilities.

I get along with almost anyone, but living wise I need someone who respects others privacy (usually goes without saying, but I’ve been surprised!), values a homely, low transit environment - that is - low transit with new people coming and going so that it feels safe, reasonably predictable and comfortable.

Good sleep is non-negotiable, so a peaceful home during the week is an essential - ideally sharing a similar rhythm and winding down for a quiet house that means sleep can be possible from around 8:30pm to rise early (depending on work and other commitments, or motivation to get up and watch the sun rise!) anywhere from 5 to 7/8 am ish.

I'm definitely not looking for a party house, though I don't mind the occasional spontaneous catch-up over a drink on the weekend if the mood strikes - other than that, it’s important that things naturally go back to normal for the meanwhile!

I value taking care of myself by keeping active and eating well, but in more of a practical, sustainable way - so not to give the impression I’m a health or fitness fanatic! I enjoy spending time in the kitchen and cooking up a storm, but generally try to keep things less complicated during the week.

On weekends, as well as downtime, I usually love getting out to explore - things like bush walks, markets, live music, or enjoying good food with friends (with a bit of a cook-up thrown in to prep for the week).

My interests and fave pass times are playing guitar, piano (I come with a portable digital piano, but wear headphones to play if noise is a concern), singing, novice DJing, arts/crafts, and the occasional music festival or live gig. I also love camping, hiking to waterfalls, and diving into topics like astrology or personal growth, reading, and binge-watching (usually) the kinds of shows you wouldn’t watch with your Mum.

Work wise, I’m an occupational therapist and about to start a post-grad in autism and neurodivergent studies at Torrens Uni, in Surry Hills. Having just landed in Sydney, I’m in the process of securing employment and as well as a couple of days in something related to OT, plus continuing to chip away at business plans, it’s looking like work will include a few days going back to my roots in hairdressing where I can nurture my creative side and have fun doing something less demanding while I’m a student again.

I don’t have kids and I’m an ex-smoker, so while I don’t hold it against anyone, I can’t live with smokers because it makes me want to start again!

I’m 420 and LGBTQIA+ friendly 🌈.
