Hi potential future housemates. My name is Meg, and I'm a beginning teacher. I'm looking for a pet-friendly place to call home, preferably in the Belconnen area. About me: I'm a 28-year-old female. I'm vegetarian, but don't mind what you eat. I'm fairly left-wing and non-religious. My interests include art (mostly sculpting), walking and running, reading, writing, watching TV/movies, drinking tea, discussing politics/philosophy/the meaning of life, chilling with friends, outdoor adventures, board games, and experiencing new things. I'm starting out in my teaching career, and will probably be focussed on work over the next few months. I am fluent in Auslan (Australian Sign Language). I have a car and a motorbike. About my pets: (it sounds like a lot, but you'll only really see the dog) 1 Dog (young bichon frise) - Micky is a small, hypoallergenic (non-shedding) dog who will probably live with me part-time. He is young (8 months), and training is ongoing, but is friendly and loveable. He is an inside dog, and will need a dog door and a small yard. He is attending puppy school. He would probably love another dog for company, but I would have to see how he gets on with other pets before committing to a place. I have no idea how he would get on with a cat. 2 guinea pigs - Titian and Smudge are male guinea pigs. They live exclusively outdoors. They will need a semi-sheltered section of yard for their hutch. Beyond that, you won't notice they exist unless you choose to interact with them (in which case, they are quite cuddly). 3 cockatiels - I have three cockatiels that live in a movable cage. They are used to living indoors, but could be relocated to a sheltered outdoor area (such as a covered verandah). Cockatiels can be quite noisy. Again, you would not have to have any interaction with them unless you chose to. I'm looking for: A room, granny flat or studio in a place with a yard and a small dog door. I have a car, a motorbike and a pushbike. I'm happy for my car to be parked on-street, but would prefer my motorbike and pushbike to be out of sight of the road. I'm looking for laid-back housemates who are happy to hang-out occasionally and have a chat, but are also happy to do their own thing. My budget is up to $200/week, but would pay more if bills are included. If you're interested, you can contact me on *oh for to five nine three oh seven ate ate* (written this way so it's not picked up by spam bots).
I recently moved back to Canberra from Sydney to be closer to my Dad. I'm a happily single, gainfully employed 48yo. I'm neat and tidy, clean up after myself and don't have wild parties as I find it takes far too long to recover :) I love good banter and am respectful of other's space. I have experience living in shared accomodation and am very easy-going. I'd prefer a place where I had my own bathroom/ensuite. Looking for a place in the Belconnen area it's close to my favourite haunts.
Close to bus, shops, University of Canberra and on bus route to ANU. Room has heating and cooling, a queen size bed, full size built in robe, and optional desk available for students. Your housemates would be out most days but home most nights and weekends so would suit a shift worker or full time university student. Happy to consider negotiating rent in exchange for services of value, such as babysitting, housework, etc. Would prefer someone that will not bring tons of friends back to the house and, if in a relationship, will spend more time at the other half's house. See below for reasons. Rent includes all bills. My Wi-Fi is not unlimited so I would need to place restrictions in its use (ie. no excessive downloading of movies, games, etc). I also have Stan, Netflix, a BBQ and outdoor chill out area. I even have garden space for those that like to grow their own veg.

Hello! My name is Emma I work full time in the public service. I enjoy relaxing with a drink with my friends on weekends, I love music, art and good food but am a fairly terrible cook myself. I'm an outgoing person and am looking for a house with a considerate, kind and easy going vibe.
laid back and up for pretty much anything, not big drinkers or partiers but doesn't mean we won't dance and chat the night away with you. We enjoy outdoor activities like camping fishing and anything adventurous but we also like a good Netflix sesh. Board and card game nights also make for a good social night. We have three beautiful well behaved dogs and a very friendly cat all house trained and dogs are outside when no one is home. There is a horse if you like horses who is kept at park wood. Look forward to possibily being your house mate Kim and Freja
I'm a very easy going student currently studying at ANU and working a retail job. I'm easy to get along with, and looking forward to living in a nice relaxed group environment. I tend to keep to myself most of the time, but I enjoy socialising as well. Always keen to play video games, board games, and I love horror movies, but I'm always happy to just chill.
Hi, I am moving to Canberra in April 2017 after living in Dubai for 14 years - very excited about settling in a new place! I love to have meaningful conversations, reading, learning new things, practicing Yoga and exploring nature. I am respectful of personal space, clean and organised. Professionally, I am a Training and Development specialist, on the look out for job opportunities. Looking for friendly and responsible housemates.
Hi future housemates! I am Clare. About Your Place. It must be warm in Winter (I really feel the cold), and I would prefer a house or ground floor unit property. Ideally on the Northside of Canberra, although I can push down to the Woden area if your place is ideal. Nearby access to ACTION buses would be great too. What I Will Bring. I am seeking a reasonable sized room to place a full set of queen size bedroom furniture. I will also bring with me general furniture (some large pieces) including a double door fridge and a washing machine which I am happy for other housemates to use. (If you have a dry lock-up shed to place unwanted furniture, that would be ok too.) I also have a lot of great quality kitchen appliances as I like to cook and bake. About Me. I am a Transgender female and have a 'youthful' personality for my age! Although I like to socialise, I am generally quiet at home. I am a tidy person who cleans up after themselves and is respectful of other tenant's privacy. Sports-wise, I like Bikram Yoga, Badminton and Swimming. I'll be studying a Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Canberra commencing in semester II this year. There is the possibility that I may work fulltime and study part-time if the perfect job falls my way over the next few months. Over the years I have shared with different genders, a variety of age groups, people from other countries and employed/students, so I know the etiquette of house-sharing arrangements with a diversity of people. I would enjoy the occasional ‘group’ meal, chatting with other tenants or being independent depending on the vibe in the property. Get in touch if you think I am a good fit for your place.
Hi, I’m looking to join an existing sharehouse or start one. I’ve been lazily lurking here awhile to see what’s what, but I’m now getting my butt into gear and am actively looking. I’m a non-smoker and am looking for a non-party household. I’m fairly tidy and enjoy a good book, Netflix, going out for coffee and food, Reddit, YouTube and video games. I’m a night owl but I don’t make too much noise. I enjoy a good movie night or family dinner every so often. I manage a retail store at Westfield Belconnen currently and am looking for full-time professionals or reliable students to share with. I’m keen to make a home, not just a house. I’d prefer to live with 1-3 women in their 20s/early 30s but am flexible. I’m okay with including a guy in our house too. If we’re starting a sharehouse, I’d love to get a newer place with larger rooms and a bit of light, but obviously with uni starting back the competition is stiff right now. I come with bedroom furniture and random other bits and pieces for the common areas, though I can get rid of them too if necessary. Shoot me a message to meet up/show me a room. Cheers, Scarlett
I am looking for a room. I am a middle aged man who dabbles in writing, performing and counselling. I am 'spiritually' minded, for want of a better word. I have been either house-sitting or renting for a few years after the end of a long relationship. The place I was in Mort St Braddon was sold. I have temporary accommodation thanks to a lovely friend. I like to meditate, go out to places like The Front Cafe or Smiths, art openings and other things around town. I have a lot of friends of different ages. I like reading and going into the bush and I can cook well. I cannot drive as I have a genetic eye disorder but my brain seems to compensate a lot; so other than driving I am quite functional. I am pretty clean and tidy. I can pretty much talk about anything and I am quite 'chilled.' Also, I have plenty in my bank account to pay rent with, just not enough to buy; I am also on the visual disability pension Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

We are fun, easy going, tidy and great company. We keep to ourselves quite often but enjoy a good catch up and a few drinks every now and then, although we are a couple we aren't overly affectionate while at home.
