I’m seeking a 12-month lease with view to extend for several years. I’m looking for a partially or fully furnished studio or 1-bed apartment subject to the Residential Tenancies Act, or granny flat under similarly negotiated terms of agreement for length of occupancy (ie.12+ months), notice periods and organising repairs. I can supply references for 9 years of rental history in Perth as well as rental payment ledgers, and personal and employment references. Experienced swimming instructor who has held industry certification for 22 years and I’ve been working for my current employer since October 2018. I also operate my own swim school where I give lessons to the culturally and linguistically diverse community, and lessons where I give instructions and converse in the German language. Seeking a location within 15 minutes’ walking distance to a shopping centre and close to bus routes or train line - within an hour's commute on public transport for my work at Riverton Leisureplex, Beatty Park Leisure Centre (North Perth) and Aqualife Centre Victoria Park. Successful and high-achieving student at Edith Cowan University where I volunteered in peer leadership, and I have completed a Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Diploma of Education and Master of Applied Linguistics. I hope to bring the same dedication to excellence in my studies to caring for your property as my home. I’m single, non-smoker, non-drinker, with no pets. I enjoy listening to audiobooks, making ceramics, painting, researching family history, and I’m excited by my new residence inspiring me to write lush settings into my short stories.

Hi there! I’m Anja (she/her), a lung researcher from Austria and will be spending 10 months in Perth for a research stay. I’m currently looking for a friendly and fun place to live near The Kids Research Institute – ideally not just a flat, but a little home with nice people around me. Besides working in science, I’m very open-minded, sporty and curious. I love running, hiking and can’t wait to finally learn how to surf properly while I’m in Perth! I’m always up for a coffee, a drink, or a deep chat. I’m tidy and enjoy cleaning (truly!), and I’m passionate about food and cooking – my current flatmate says I’m a fantastic chef and I’d be more than happy to cook for or with my housemates. Sharing food is one of my favorite ways to connect. I’m also very emotional and sensitive (the good kind – I’m a crier in movies and I care a lot), and I would describe myself as empathetic, extroverted, and full of energy. I enjoy reading, dancing (even if I’m a beginner), going shopping, and trying out new things – especially together. Even though I’m looking forward to the adventure, I don’t know anyone in Australia yet, so it would mean a lot to me to live in a place where people are kind – ideally, I’d love to become friends with my housemates. I’m doing a PhD and will be working a lot, so I also really value calm and focus, and I promise I won’t get on anyone’s nerves! That said, I’m easy-going and independent too, and always open to feedback or honest conversations if something ever comes up. Respect and warmth are really important to me. Also: I’m a non-smoker, totally fine with pets, and I’m definitely not into anti-feminists, Trump fans or toxic vibes 😅 I feel more aligned with progressive, open-hearted people – ideally the kind who love food, laughs, sports and occasional chaos around the dinner table. Something within 15–20 minutes of the CBD would be perfect – I‘m flexible with suburbs. I’m looking for a furnished room in a place with air conditioning, a washing machine, and ideally some space in the fridge and freezer – just the basics to feel at home and keep my veggies (and snacks!) fresh. If you think that could fit – I’d love to hear from you! Best, Anja
