Hi Potential New Housemate, Summary: - 28yo young professional, working fulltime (8.30am-5pm weekdays) - Dutch Citizen with AU Permanent Residency - Responsible Mindset - Unfurnished Room in Inner-North Brisbane - Hobbies: Catching up with friends / Soccer / Beach - LGBTQI+ friendly More Detailed: My name is John, a 28yo Dutch guy who has been living in Australia since 2018. I'm an Australian Permanent Resident and looking for a new place to live. I'm currently living in a rental apartment in Windsor and have to move out before the 27th of May 2024 (new owner wants to move in). I'm aiming for a place in the Inner-North region of Brisbane, somewhere in the surroundings of the suburbs Albion / Lutwyche / Windsor / Nundah. I have lived in this region before and would like to stay close to my local supermarkets / cafes / friends / etc.. I work fulltime in the bicycle industry as the Import Logistics Manager for Pedal Group Pty (known for retail chain 99 Bikes and wholesale chain Advance Traders). My office is located in Bowen Hills and I prefer to work from the office (09am-5pm, M-F). I'm working in my current role for 1yr+ and am enjoying it very much, especially because I did a 4 year bachelor of Logistics Management at university which means I can really excel in what I'm doing. I prefer an unfurnished room because I own my bedroom furniture, but also happy to get rid of my own stuff if necessary. I don't have any other major furniture pieces to bring with me. It would be great if I can share your kitchen utensils / pots / pans but also more than happy to bring my own. My spare time consist of a lot of social activities, because I like to catch up with my friends outside of home. I also play soccer for Brisbane Inferno, every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon. And when the weather allows it, you would find me at the beach. It's common sense for me to take part in the house hold tasks. A clean and tidy environment is a must for me. I'm quite a clean-freak - to be honest - so nobody needs to clean up after me. I also understand that I'm moving into someone else's place, which makes me "the guest" (even though I will be living there). Please know that I'm someone with a 'professional'-mindset, what means that I am aware of my housemate, their privacy and happy to adjust myself where possible. As mentioned before, I'm a social butterfly and am always in for a chat. Ideally I'm after a situation where I'm living with someone who is around the same age (20-40yo) with also a professional and responsible mindset. Maybe a bit stereotypical, but that's why I rather live with working professionals than with a bunch of 18yo university students. I also am planning on buying a car again, so a carpark spot would be a bonus. Free street parking works too. I'm very curious what you think about my background and my vision of life. I'm also very curious what you DON'T LIKE about a future housemate, because maybe we can save both of each other some time by just getting it out there straight away. ;-) Preferably I want to move in before my current lease expires (26th of May). I'm more than happy to send you the references of my former house mates as well. I have had very good experience with my previous housemates and would like to continue this success story. Wanna catch up for a drink and discuss the possibilities? Would like to hear from you. Kind regards, John Luijten
