I just finished my Master’s Degree in architecture and am currently working 2 jobs. I enjoy going to the beach, hitting the gym and going out on occasions. I also enjoy cooking, especially with and for friends. We are very tidy and appreciate keeping the flat clean, and so we hope you feel the same way. We are not a party house, but we are definitely keen for dinners with friends, serving food and drinks. The house is big and there is always a possibility to hang out in the common areas. If this place sounds like something for you, and you are interested in a place to call home and flatmates that becomes friends, then send me a message and we will set up an inspection. Skype calls are also possible if you are currently overseas.
Full-time MBA student looking for a roommate / roommates. About me: super clean, relaxed, easy-going, professional, love reading, cook a little, non-smoking, don’t drink alcohol at all but caffeine addicted. I have a long-distance partner in Perth that visits once in a few months, and I'd prefer that he could stay with me during his visit (won't be long or frequent). Looking for places: cozy, tidy, homey (tend not to stay in a place that looks empty and cold), within 25min commute to AGSM. Preferably 2 bedrooms apartment to share with another girl or 3 bedrooms with 2 restrooms. Looking for roommates: clean, tidy, easy-going, mature, no partying please (friends visits are more than welcome), non-smoking (unfortunately I have asthma), respectful of privacy (little chats are lovely!), even better if we can hang out together some times to grab coffee;)
Hey! I am an international student at UNSW. I love listening to music, cooking and photography. If you are into arts and films we will have a great time. I sometimes do tend to be humorous and I am easy to socialize with. We might have great time hanging out together. I'm always down for a movie and food night at home. Relaxed evenings are preferred over going for parties every weekend. (Have unusual work shifts and uni times, so won't be around much). I prefer to keep the place clean and tidy. I am looking for a private room. Any questions are welcomed.
Hi, I am Megan. I am a teacher and moving back east side in Jan for work. I love going to the gym and I study psychology between that and working it takes up a lot of my time. I don't mind the heading to the odd event for a dance - love house music/breaks etc but don't go as much these days as I used to. Interested in teaming up with someone who is social and keen to go on a night out here and there socially but also respects each others downtime as well. During the week I am pretty quiet with a gym type routine. Tossing up whether to get a place on my own or seeing what is out there :)
Hello! I'm a Canadian in Sydney, I'm looking for a share room until my Visa ends in June 2020. I love to cook and am happy to be the household chef most days. Love to go out for a drink here and there, but also very happy spending a chill weekend in.
I’m a 23 year old gaduate from Ireland moving to Sydney around the 10th December. I'm currently completing farm work in Victoria. I’m pretty outgoing, sociable and considerate. I’m not a messy housemate at all and will keep the place in great shape. I like playing a bit of football and chilling out on the beach any chance I get. I'll be working in the city and will hit the beach and town on weekends. Not in any way weird, messy or anything. I'm looking a 3 or 6 month tenancy, so please don't be contacting me with anything less. Won't be able to view any place before the 10th Dec, but can phone, video call etc or whatever if needs be , leaving it all fairly casual for now to see what turns up.
Hi Me (Jana) and my friend (Jula) are both 19 years old and from Germany. We‘re friendly, open minded and clean. We love to have nice conversations and chilled evenings. We’re happy to get to know new people and share experiences and make new ones together. We’re also adventurous and like to go out and have a good time. Maybe we’re the persons you want to have a good time with Cheers Jula and Jana
Hi I am Mahmuda and I just arrived in the great land of Oz on the 18th of November from the US (Washington DC). I am presently staying at an AirBnB in Zetland, but looking for a more permanent rental to move to. I spent a good chunk of my 20s doing space science research at NASA, which helped me develop my passion for interdisciplinary space science research. I got my PhD few months ago and moved here to (hopefully) start an awesome postdoctoral job at UNSW. I expect to be away every few weeks to take a trip to the Anglo-Australian telescope while there. Due to my time in Japan, I love anime and speak fluent Japanese. But since I have spent my adult life in the upper East Coast of US, I am surrounded by diversity here, and thus consider myself to be a highly multi-cultural being. That being said, this will actually be my first time in the southern hemisphere and the most important criteria for me in a home is air conditioning (followed by laundry washer). I also want to live with housemates as a) I am used to living with very resourceful housemates now, b) as someone new to a country with no family and friends, I need to make my own family and friends and c) I am highly allergic to dust and cockroaches (roaches don't exist where I live in the US - we blast our ACs here...) so I need to live with someone who will mutually share a responsibility of keeping the place clean with me. I am just very used to air-conditioning (in US if temperatures are above 20C, we typically run the AC), so I am looking for a place with air conditioning available during the summer and since I won't have a car, I am looking to live close to UNSW campus, preferably east of it due to not wanting to live in the inner city (I hear that's where the roaches are...) Also I am willing to pay max up to $400 per week only if that amount include utilities. I will get paid pretty well at my new job but I have student loans to pay in the US (so do most people who get higher education degrees in the US), so I have to spend my money pretty conservatively while in Australia.... Besides roaches and summer air conditioning, the other thing I am picky about is smoking. In the US, we have strict smoking control, which is great for someone like me who suffers from asthma. I hear that kind of control is not a thing in Australia....I am fine living with smokers, as long as the smoking happens outside the house. I also need a big closet. I realize I cannot get the giant walk in closets I am used to in US, but I can do with a relatively large closet probably. The other thing is the nature of my job will require me to work night hours at least half the time, so I am not looking for a room with a lot of lighting - I will need to sleep during the day. In the US, I have always lived in basement bedrooms to accommodate my sleeping hours, but I hear that's not a thing in Australia (basement apartments). So a "lot of natural light", while a plus feature for most people, is something I am actively avoiding at least for the bedroom. My appointment at UNSW will last at least 2.5 years so if all works out between us, I will be happy to live at your place for the full duration. On the other hand, while I indicate I am looking for a place for at least 12 months, I am okay just starting up with a 6 month deal. I understand I am new to the country and things may not work out at my first place for whatever reason. I am also not a party animal, I prefer doing the whole "came back from hard day of work let's socialize a little and share how your/my day was" thing, but I also generally keep to myself. Grew up as an only child in a foreign country so definitely not a needy person here. Lastly, I love decorating and I can pretty much talk about anything and have gotten along with every respectful housemate I have had in my lifetime (I have had over 20 housemates in the past 8 years alone due to the place I lived for over 5 years having a lot of short term dwellers).
Small town kiwi kid who has ignored the call of the ocean long enough. Would ideally love to find a spot near the beach to stretch and get a couple early morning swims in throughout the week. Fairly active, very cheeky and borderline ocd about sums it up. Happy to socialize and just as happy to have some quiet space too. 🧘♂️🧜♂️🤸♂️🍉🏉🍻🌯 🍪 Let me know if you think we'll get on✌
