This lovely early 1900's villa is in the heart of Kensington and has easy access to public transport.....so much so that I don't have a car! It is very spacious, and has a great outdoor space for relaxing with a wine or two over the BBQ. There is ducted heating and evaporative cooling - better than nothing in summer! The room for rent is a large double, with BIR. I like to live with an environmentally conscious approach, so I have a worm farm for vege scraps and make use of the community compost for overflow. There is space/area for growing veges if you are that way inclined. My current flatmate (of 6yrs....) owns half the living area furniture so there is plenty of room for your own things if you have them. The house is set up for internet access but is currently under my flatmates name, but could easily be transferred. There is also an awesome cafe around the corner - food pic is from there 😊
Big spacious semi-detached three-bedroom town house in Kensington. Three-story property, with double garage (lots of storage space). Open plan living/kitchen area on 2nd floor, which opens onto sun deck/balcony - great for BBQs in the summer! The available bedroom is situated on the ground floor of the house, and has a wall-mounted heater and ceiling fan, wardrobe, and desk space. The house is a about a 10 minute walk to either South Kensington train station (2 stops from CBD), and Kensington Station, where there are plenty of great cafes.
The room is enormous and comes with a big standing wardrobe and split system air conditioner. The room sits above the garage and has separate access to the street. The property has a small enclosed courtyard and clothesline. The house backs onto a walking/running path and footy ovals, soccer pitch, tennis courts and public pool/gym are all within close walking distance. There is a garage available and plenty of unrestricted parking around the house, with fairly quiet streets. We're very close to Kensington shops, and the Flemington and Footscray shopping centres, and a short walk to an IGA Plus. There are three other housemates but there's an ensuite, a bathroom and two separate toilets so no issues there. Good sized kitchen and two large living areas.

During the weekdays I'll be at Victoria University, footscray park, for my internship. In the evenings and in the weekend I'm totally in for some socialising but I'm also fine on my own and I'm looking for a place that will give me some privacy. I'm down to earth, easy going and always try to keep everything clean. Besides that I'm always down for a drink and a laugh.
I enjoy living with people and sharing a space and company. I study full time and work part time so I'm out of the house a lot but when i'm home I love having chats about music, food, cute animals and travels. I'm a little nerdy and little creative and I love floofy cats and corgis. House trained: I have been living in share houses for 3 years, and have been renting my own place for 12 months. (looking at moving back to share houses as studying again) Stable income: I have permanent part time hours where I have been employed since October 2016. This means I can always pay my bills on time and chip in for household expenses without stress. I have a car : I enjoy household road trips and am happy to drive us to the shops. I have a TV/Fridge/Couch/Turn Table/Heater/house plants/potted herbs, if our house needs any of these or if we set up a place together I've got these sorted. (otherwise i'll likely sell these or let a friend use them if we don't need these)
I'm pretty relaxed and easy going. I'm not a real party goer, but like to have a social beer with mates. I'm a keen Fly Fisherman and most weekends I'm away fishing somewhere. I also like to play guitar in my spare time. I'll be working full-time in the city and mostly keep to myself at home. I'm very respectful of others privacy and surroundings.
I'm very open to new things and new people (I really enjoy meeting new people with different backgrounds and ways of thinking than my self). I prefer a clean and tidy home, but I don't mind a bit of mess during busy periods. I like to think of myself as fairly easy-going and it takes a lot to piss me off (but it's definitely doable if you try hard enough :)). In terms of lifestyle, I tend to prioritize healthy eating and quite a lot of movement/exercise. One thing I value very highly, is being able to move (play sports, workout, go for a run or walk, etc.) with other people - it's one of the best ways of spending time together, in my opinion. That being said, I definitely enjoy some downtime as well, eg. reading a book, playing guitar or having a lengthy conversation. Occasionally, I enjoy a night out with friends, dancing and drinking, but it's not something I do every single weekend. Although, it's not unlikely that you'll see me with a cold a beer or a glass of wine on the weekends. I'm going to study full time at UniMelb for the second semester (july till november) on an exchange program (I'm from Denmark). I definitely wouldn't mind living with people who are not necessarily studying at UniMelb as well, although it's not a requirement.
Hi there, I’m James, I’m 20 years old gay guy and currently living in Tasmania but am making the move over once I find residency! I’ve had my time in going out partying and would now much rather just stay at home with the other housemates and watch a movie and eat some delicious food.
My name is Jack and I am a full time landscaper in Brunswick. I'm looking to move somewhere nearby. I'm considerate, neat, and easy to get along with. I like to listen to music, watch the footy and have a beer on the weekends. I like to keep things tidy, and am quite approachable, I do like my own space every now and then and am more than happy to give others theirs. I do require a location to park my car as I use it every day for work, however, it does not need to be off-street.
Hi there! We are two French engineering students coming to Melbourne for year at the university. Eager to discover Australia at its fullest, we would love to find a very nice shared home with new people! Eleonore and I used to live together in France, keeping a tidy flat I promise. We both like staying cosy at home as well as going out, depending on our mood. We are very sociable and wish to meet people from all around Australia (and the world). If you want to laugh and let a funny duo of French people storm into your life, we are the perfect match! Do not hesitate to contact me so we can meet anytime. WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR A SHARED ROOM BUT FOR 2 DIFFERENT ROOMS. Thanks!
We are a Colombian couple, studying English and working everyday. We love to watch movies, have dinner outside, and drink a beer once in a while with our flatmate to have a nice talk. We came here to be in a peaceful place. We are very very organized and tidy! Please we are only looking for a place with private bathroom, no more than 20 minutes away from the city, and $1.350 x month including bills.
