I’ve lived in Townsville for almost my entire life except for the last 2 years I lived in Brisbane but I can back to finish uni. I play hockey and love my sports.
It’s a fantastic apartment. It has great views of the city, marina and Castle Hill. Private and secure, everywhere in Townsville is just a short drive away. Palmer street is buzzing with pubs, restaurants and bars and its a 5 minutes walk to Flinders street (where all the clubs and bars are.) There is a gym and twenty-five metre pool for residents. Air-conditioned and living with tidy young professional. Netflix and a PlayStation are also in the apartment, which not including the room for rent is fully furnished.
House to share with three other people and one friendly and cute dog named Wally. One single guy in one room and a couple in another. Ages range from 24 - 34. We can sometimes get busy doing our own things but we are also social and friendly and love going on camping adventures or sharing a dinner. The house has a small yard with gardens and some herbs and fruit trees, a nice park across the road (rather than more houses) and a deck. The room that is available has plenty of cupboard and storage space and also has a mattress. Utility estimates are for internet ($15 per month), electricity and gas. Electricity and gas are an estimate based on past use. Electricity is usually around 350-400 per quarter (3months) and is shared between four people. Gas is a very small cost that comes ~ once per year. We calculate and pay electricity and gas as they come - they are not collected weekly. There is a bus stop on the corner and the house is a 10 min walk or ride to Palmer Street and the city. Uni and the hospital (next to each other) are a 40 minute bike ride by the river or a 20 minute drive. For students, there is also a JCU city campus nearby to study at that is a 5 minute bike ride. Please note: It is very important for us to have a harmonious house and every housemate living in the house is a central aspect of that. We want to make sure we add another person who is tidy, friendly and cooperative. We need a housemate to take responsibility for tidying up after themselves in shared spaces like the kitchen, deck or living room and also share in the general cleaning tasks. Also, we would like our new housemate to be friendly and become a part of the household as a collective rather than living insular lives from the same house. This just means being up for a chat and maybe sharing a meal every now and then. We are all interested in sustainability, going on outdoor adventures, cooking, and relaxing, among other things :)

Our idea is to find a well communicated house in Townsville city center or surroundings, but the most important thing… a place with good energy and positive vibes !!!
The house has a large deck which is great for entertaining, an open plan living/dining area with plenty of couch space and a stunning kitchen ready to cook up a storm. The main bathroom houses a large bath tub great for relaxing and the huge yard is home to the best mango tree in Townsville (unconfirmed) and a citrus orchard. The house is in a quite neighbourhood, but is only minutes from Palmer St and the City. The view is amazing looking over the mangroves of Ross River on one side and the city skyline peeping over the beautiful green trees the other. Sitting out on the deck taking in the breezes is incredibly relaxing. The room available is enormous. it's large enough to split into multiple areas to allow for a bedroom and a lounge/study. It has air-conditioning and a separate toilet downstairs. There are three bedrooms upstairs with one of them acting as a spare room.
We (that's Jack, Anja and Mila) are looking for someone to move in with us. Jack has bought the house a couple of years ago and we've been doing lots of renovation on it since, to make it a paradise everyone wants to call home. The house has got 3 bedrooms in total. One of them could be yours! It is a friendly room with lots of light coming in trough 2 windows and a balcony overlooking our back yard and veggie patch! Right next to your bedroom is our bathroom with a big shower, toilet and lots of storage room for everyone's belongings. The two front rooms are Jack and my bedroom and a little office. The heart of the house is a big open living space where we like to chill on the couch, listen to music and dance through the kitchen whilst cooking amazing dishes for ourselves and sometimes for friends. From the kitchen/livingroom there are sliding windows facing the big deck and views onto our beloved garden. The deck invites to chill in one of the hammocks, do yoga on, have breakfast/lunch and dinner, be creative , read a book and listen to the birds. Because there really is not much else in our soundscape. We're very lucky to have a quiet neighbourhood. Downstairs there is a big garden, which is ever evolving and growing into a more and more beautiful space for everyone. Jack is a landscaper so he's got the vision, know-how and passion to create wonderful landscape in the back yard. Underneath the house is our storage space, the washing machine and washing line, as well as Jack's workbench. There is still a few projects we have in mind to transform the house and garden even more, but it is already a homely haven that everyone who comes and stays with us loves a lot.

The rent is all inclusive and covers: rent, broadband internet (basically unlimited), yard maintenance, a cleaner once a fortnight, and electricity. The house: a lovely high-set Queenslander in Railway Estate. Less than 5 minute drive to town, and about 10-15 minutes to JCU and the Hospital. A block away from a boat ramp and a park, and also very close to the bus stop (route 208, I think). The space underneath the house is lockable, and provides plenty of storage space. One shared bathroom. I also have a cat, who is pretty friendly and likes company. The room has floor to ceiling built-in cupboards, (and they're really high ceilings!), and is air-conditioned and has a ceiling fan. There is also a lock on the door. Hardwood timber floors.
