Huge sunny room in freestanding house with timber floors and high ceilings. Quiet tree lined street with bus/train 3 mins walk. CBD is 10 minutes by train. Super clean house. Fully equipped cooks kitchen. Cleaner and unlimited internet included. Large front and rear gardens, with lawn and veggie patch. Prefer a student. Must be pet friendly. We have a cat and 2 dogs part time. Looking for someone independent who wants to live in a home, not just a house. This is a quiet house, ideal as a retreat from the hustle and bustle of Sydney.
We call it Heaven on Earth - a charming little house in Stanmore, super close to public transport (as in, walking distance) and not far from Newtown and the city. High ceilings and a generous kitchen await you.
Very laid back, considerate and generally pretty quiet guy. Those are all ideal tenant/roommate things right? During the work week I will like to lay low BUT I will try not to be a hermit MON-THURS if yours is a social house. Some wine and conversation will never go astray. Definitely up for fun on the weekends, going out, movie-nights, drinks etc but like I said I tend to like my space too..
I am a 24 year old who works full time (mon-fri working hours). I am an easygoing no fuss person who is down for a chat but is respectful of the house environment. I am social and spend my weekends catching up with friends but am fairly quiet during the week. I enjoy a glass of wine or a few beers but not a crazy party person. My two favourite things are traveling and food.
I’m a primary school teacher at home :). Quited my job to start traveling. I love to be around people but also like to have time for myself :). I love playing Korfball and I like to sing.
24, female. Big fan of vegetables and music and skincare. Work full time. I have a 7 year old border collie who is my best buddy. He is super smart, doesn’t bark and is obsessed with playing fetch.
I work full time in the city for a Government agency but I'm from Western Sydney. I'm financially stable and a very easy-going person. I'm more than happy to pitch in and do housework, up-keep of the place, do communal grocery shopping etc. I'm a pretty quiet person during the week - after work I really just like to chill and watch TV or go out to dinner with friends. I do want to be more active on weekends so I likely won't be home. I don't smoke and I don't drink but I'm more than happy to have a post-work chat (I'll just be the one drinking coke while you lot drink wine haha) I have a background in political science and gender theory but I'm not someone who likes to convert people or anything of the sort though happy to have a chat if you're interested. I'm also studying law at the moment part-time. I also volunteer with a couple of different projects/organisations so I try and keep busy. What i'm looking for: Rent+bills: preferably 350 max but might go higher for ensuite or private bathroom Flatmates: all women or majority women Room: private not shared but has room for queen bed and drawers/wardrobes/extra space Internet: better than the ADSL 2 (more like ADSL zero) I have now House: with as many windows as possible, i'm a sucker for natural light places and ones that are homey/comfortable (seriously willing to buy a comfy couch to contribute to this)
Hi my name is Daniel, I'm 28 and I'm currently working as a policy officer at a national LGBTI health organisation in Newtown. I'm friendly and outgoing and enjoy reading, exercising, music, going to the beach and movies, as well as drinking copious amounts of tea. I'm considerate of others, take initiative with keeping a clean home environment and respectful and considerate of people's personal space and privacy. I love having a good yarn but also appreciate having some quiet time, especially after work and towards bed time. I am an open and honest housemate who can communicate clearly about figuring out the house dynamics.
Clean, considerate, experienced in share housing, pays bills and rent on time, quiet when needed, but also a keen conversationalist. I am a people person, enjoy living with housemates and getting to know them :)
Hello! My name is Lyla, I'm studying Social Work. My current rental lease is about to run up but I’m heading to South Africa for allof October so looking to move around the 5th of November! I'd say I'm laid back, I'd consider myself open minded and easy to get along with. I'm tidy and respect where I'm living and I'm always keen to do my bit around the house. I can respect personal space but also love to get together. I paint a bit and am very into my music and try to get out and see as much as possible of Sydney's live music scene, would love to live with people who are as equally passionate about it. I bartend most nights and tend to go away most weekends so I would love a social and relaxed home! I moved to Australia 6 years ago from Ireland and before that I was in South Africa and if you have an outdoor area thats a major plus, I'm also keen to team up, so if you think we might be like minded people I'd love to grab a coffee with potential housemates and see if we get along! (Preferably no units/apartments as Im terrified of elevators) Thanks!!
Hi! I'm Tania, 35, work full time in events (with the occasional travel during the year). I like chilling out at home during the week, and then most weekends are spent catching up with family or friends. I am a sociable housemate who is always up for a chat, but totally respect your privacy. Happy for a communal dinner or glass of wine. Most of my time is spent either at work (during the week, with the occasional weekend shift or travel), or catching up with family or friends. Would also like some more brunch recommendations.
HI There :) I'm Steph and i'm moving to Sydney for work. I'm a speech pathologist and will be working at the hospitals. I'm easy going, easy to get along with and i think a bit of fun too! I'm respectful of others and shared spaces and happy to have a chat or share a meal after work but also mindful of individual space! Steph :)
I'm looking for an unfurnished room (with own bathroom, or not shared with more than one person) in a very clean home close to public transport. I work full time on weekdays so they’re pretty low key for me. I’m a bit of a hygiene freak, so I like a clean and tidy place and would like to live with similar people. I really enjoy alone time, but always up for a chat with drinks. I have a cute little cavoodle puppy living with me part time. He's toilet trained and I intend to keep him indoors. He’d go to work with me during the day, so he’s basically only ever home when I am. Definitely interested in teaming up with other dog owners to find a pet friendly place and set up a new home. I have a place in mind if anyone's interested.
I'm a design consultant working in the CBD. I'm a creative that's low-key, easy going and enjoys some banter. I'm looking for a quiet place, long-term that's walkable to a train line. Let me know if you've got a spot in mind.
I am a 35 year-old professional female looking to either find a female flatmate to move into my existing apartment (as my flatmate is moving out) or find someone that I could team up with to find a new place. The lease on my current apartment comes to an end on 9 October 2018. I would consider myself an open-minded, considerate, , spiritual, inquisitive, and quirky individual that values my own space but also enjoys sharing a bottle of wine and meal with a flatmate and discuss random topics like reality TV shows and American politics. I am an economist by background, and recently returned from working in Asia for around 5 years. I spent the first 13 years of my life in Germany, then migrated to Australia, I would consider myself a global citizen (sorry, I know that's sounds wanky..but can't think of a better term). I love exposure to different culture, food and people. I am also very passionate about social issues. I work long hours at work, and bring sometimes work home, and therefore would like to live with someone that is a full-time student or full-time work that understands the importance of silence after 11pm on a work day. The most important thing for me is: 1) to live in a place that is close to public transport. I am open to consider places outside of the nominated places, provided its close to public transport. 2) I work in Martin Place and work late hours, so accessing public transport is important. 3) I like the idea of having my own bathroom, but am happy to consider a shared bathroom. 4) Live with someone that can avoid being a passive aggressive. You will always encounter some issues when you live with a person, and the best way to address them is to be open and honest and articulate expectations and concerns. I have quite a bit of my own furniture (really nice furniture...if i may say so), and am happy to bring it along to the new place or put it in storage. I have my own car, so would like to have a place to park the car. I am looking to move into an existing place, or find a suitable flatmate and look for a place together. I am looking for a long-term housing solution. So happy to consider anything above a 6 month period. Not sure whether the above is useful to give a picture what I am about. I feel there is only a limited value in writing a profile, and the rest is really about talking to a potential flatmate and seeing whether you connect.
I am a pretty relaxed person,I feel like I'm at work alot more than I am at home! I do shiftwork and can have a variety of start times so im looking for someone similar to rent with so we can both respect each other's sleep requirements. I dont entertain at home much and prefer to spend my days off either out having meals with friends or catching up on my laundry and watching tv.When I am at home I spend the bulk of my time on my computer or reading so generally I am a quiet person and am looking for someone similar. I'm currently looking at getting a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment somewhere along the t2 inner west line and am looking for one other person to live there with me.my current lease has expired and I can move with 3 weeks notice, I am happy to go on the bond alone. I'm currently looking for a place to rent in the petersham area. And would like to find a flatmate beforehand. I am happy to take your input and requirements on board in the place I choose.
Hi, I'm Melissa. I've been living in Summer Hill for nearly 6 years now and I really love the area, but my apartment is very old, so I'm looking for something new. About me: I work part-time for a security company which I'm hoping to change out of very soon. I'm in the final stretch of an arts degree at MQ uni and hope to get into various forms of performance and creative endeavours once I've completed it. I'd love to travel more and have been to the South Pacific and Portugal, with brief stopovers in Spain, Abu Dhabi and Germany. I am absolutely fascinated with psychology and why people do what they do, but I'm also equally fascinated with spirituality and all things woo-woo. (I have crystals and card decks for every mood and occasion). I love arts and crafts, although procrastinate actually doing anything with that, and I'd love to get into acting, more dancing, writing and fashion design, amongst other things. I consider myself to be intelligent, witty, fluent in sarcasm and smartassery, but also a sincere, loving, genuine, caring and supportive friend. What I'm looking for: Female only (Max 2). Professional preferred, but also open to student. Ideally non-smoker. Pet friendly (I've love one but my lease doesn't allow it). Like-minded. I love to have a chat at the end of the day and hang out, but also really enjoy my own private time and space (empath problems, also living solo for 6+ months decreases tolerance levels towards other people for long period of time). I'm looking for somewhere that's quite spacious and secure, ideally first floor (my current place has a garage underneath making it almost 2 story level, but still first floor), with plenty of light, separate internal laundry, large private balcony (to be shared with flatmates that is), lock up garage, separate shower and bath, less than 5 mins walk to the station and bus stop, quiet tree-lined street with parks within walking distance, about 15 mins via transport to the CBD, city/park views, electric stove top, modern and spacious kitchen (preferably all white), less than 10 mins walk to supermarket/shopping centre, close to bike/walking track, unfurnished, good quality unlimited internet and utilities. Ideally I was looking to find someone to start a team up with as I've got a fairly exact idea of what I want in a place and can just get existing utilities redirected, I just need to find that place and a flatmate to share with. I'm open to sharing with someone in an already established flat share if your place sounds like what I've described above and you feel like I would be a good fit/someone you'd like to share with. I'm not in any particular hurry at present to move out. I just want to make sure I find the right place and person/s to share with before doing anything else. Feel free to contact me either way to discuss further. Thanks. :-)
