My friend is vacating the room and I am looking for a responsible, respectful and quiet housemate. The property is large with ample space. The room to let is very large and can fit a table, King or Queen size bed, lamp and cupboards. It has a large window. There are two levels to the property. Yours room will be on the ground floor with shared toilet and bathroom on ground floor with another housemate. However as he is very busy and hardly at home so you would be mostly using the bathroom/toilet yourself only although, please note it is to be shared when he is around. This is a NO smoking, parties or pets household. Sorry- but no couples either. Room comes unfurnished except for one cupboard. However, you can buy a mattress from us at $50 if you need. You can use my washing machine and dryer located in the laundry room with respect. There are two fridges. One is mine and the other for you and the other housemate to use. Well equipped household- has a sofa in lounge, dining table and chairs. Kitchen is equipped too. You can use the cooking utensils but you must wash up so others can use it. Off street parking. Bus and tram 59 near by directly to City and Melbourne University. 10 minutes walk to Glenverbie train station. Close to city. Although the suburb is Essendon, it is actually the borderline of Moonee Ponds side. So we do the Coles/Woolies shopping at Moonee Ponds and many nice cafes around. There are also many food deliveries to the area so you are in a very central area yet also near to the park (Queens Park) where you can exercise and enjoy nature.
Very close to all public transport and CBD and airport. This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom townhouse has a lot to offer, including 2 large separate living areas, large kitchen, study, garage, yard and more. Rent per week is $280.00.
The House: Lovely 3 bedroom house with decent sized back and front yards and veggie garden. Right across the road from some small local shops including a great cafe, hairdresser, florist and convenience store. Close access to the Moonee Ponds creek trail if you like to cycle and some nice parks in the area. Includes air conditioning, ducted heating, and off street undercover parking for two cars (I use one space). Unlimited internet (not included in rent, cost shared) and Optus Fetch TV box (great if you're an EPL fan). Good little kitchen, separate laundry and living and dining spaces. The bathroom is small but neat, and is shared. There's a lovely outdoor patio area which will be soon lacking a table but does have a barbecue and is a great entertaining space :) The house is mostly furnished, however I'll be replacing some stuff that was owned by the previous housemates (washing machine, couch, tv) so if you have thing you'd like to find room for I'm sure we can make it work. The two available bedrooms are unfurnished. The lease is up in July but I'll be looking to extend. The Rooms: The house has three bedrooms, two of which are about to be vacated by my current housemates. I live in the studio room which is detached from the house so there is a large and a smaller room available in the house. The bedrooms are tidy, carpeted and with built in wardrobes. I'd like to make the third bedroom a guest bedroom but if you wanted it as a study or storage space I'd be open to that and we could negotiate the division of the rent accordingly.
Hello, My name is Danish and we are a group of 4 people. We are all Indians and were on holidays for a month and one of our guy is still in Melbourne. We need a house or a place where we can have separate rooms. You can send me a WhatsApp text and my friend will contact you for inspection. Thanks
I've just recently moved over to Melbourne from Hobart to do more music and have a change of scene. I love cooking for friends and have chats over tea and coffee I am vegan and try to be waste conscious. I'm generally a pretty bubbly person but also like my alone time
My name is Allen Sierra. I'm from Florida, USA, just recently moved to Melbourne to pursue my master's degree at UniMelb. I like filming and video production. I am pretty neat and even-tempered.
Hi my name is Nick Just a little about myself: I was born in Tasmania and I moved to Melbourne 12 months ago to pursue my career as a chef. I am looking for a place and currently living in Brunswick. I'm 27 years old currently working as a chef at a restaurant Mr. McCracken in Essendon full-time. I am looking for a place that’s rather quiet and low key so I can focus on my career. If I’m not at work I’m out with friends so I don’t spend much time in the house. I'm a fun, cheerful and easy going guy. I can cook pretty well and always maintain a clean kitchen, house and lifestyle. I also enjoy attending events around the city and experiencing Melbourne's nightlife. I enjoy good music, a fun laugh with friends and keeping a positive demeanour in my lifestyle. Non Smoker Please feel free to contact me via phone or email anytime to discuss further. All the best. Hi lovely people! What am I looking for? - Somewhere fun to stay with awesome housemates - Looking to stay for either a few months or for the long haul with the option of subletting my room when I go off for more than a month at a time (e.g. going to europe sometime this year) - Would be great to have outdoors or sports loving housemates that enjoy things like climbing, cycling, hiking, tennis or whatever else - A backyard would be amazing Why would you want me as a housemate? - I'm out of the house most of the time, working, I have things on most evenings and I'm often out for days or longer at a time on outdoorsy adventures - When I'm around, I like to be social, have a chat, share a beer or a wine, a meal, a movie or anything else happening - Got plenty of board games, and always keen on games nights - I have a car with plenty of space and a towball to help cart around big things - I enjoy working on projects around the house, and keen to do some gardening (by way of experimentation!) Frequently asked questions: - I was born here. Lived in NZ for awhile, and now back in Melbourne - I'm house trained. I'm not a neat freak, but believe things work nicer when dishes are cleaned soon after they are used (or the morning after if it's near bed time), objects are not blocking the walkways, and lawns are mowed - No dramas whatsoever about anyone's race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation - Left leaning, not that others need to be, but we'd probably get along better if we all were :) What you should know that might be an issue: - I would like a place where couchsurfers or visitors (anyone's) are welcome time to time - I like dumpster diving and won't hesitate to join anyone else willing or invite others - I'm mostly vegetarian but don't care what others eat / don't eat. Happy to be vegan in the house if others are
I'm a friendly, quiet, laid-back guy who works nights in retail in Brunswick, so I'd like to live nearby, I don't drink or smoke (I don't mind if you do though) and like to spend my time relaxing back with a good book or spending time with friends and family. I make sure to always clean up after myself and don't shy away from helping out with cleaning. In saying that I do keep to myself a lot and I work nights so you might hardly see me throughout the week. I have a queen size bed and a pretty big computer desk also, the place will have to be flexible with furnishings. I also have a car and drive.
Hi, I’m Vincent! I work at a printing company, and sometimes as a theatre tech as well. I’m from Hong Kong but have lived in Melbourne for over 15 years now. I’m learning Japanese and would love to visit Japan someday :)
Hey guys, My name's Ozan (Turkish. Call me Ozzy!). I'm a 22yo student who's recently moved to Melbourne for studies, and looking for a place inner-north (Brunswick, Essendon, Ascot, Coburg, Pascoe areas). I'm currently working casual in warehousing, but hunting for a job close to the city. My budget is $180pw, but also looking for places around $150-200pw depending on the housing situation. I've NEVER been late with rent & never will be. ABOUT ME: - I'm well educated - Born and raised in Sydney. - I'm gay. 🏳️🌈 - Left-leaning and Atheist (but respectful of all beliefs) - Non-smoker. - I don't own any pets (but will love and cherish yours). - I'm introverted but that doesn't mean I'm shy! I'm generally quiet, reserved, and stay inside my room a lot; however I'm more than happy to join outings and be social for the night. :) - I'm approachable and easy to get along with. - I don't know how to cook, but I'm very tidy, organised, and absolutely love to clean! If I'm what you're looking for, send me a message!
I am clean, tidy and very respectful. I am a social person who loves cooking and physical activity, very well rounded, knowledgable and very easy going. I have a large respect for personal space, and consider myself very easy to live with :)
Hi I'm Sophie! I'm 33 and work full time as a Graphic Designer. I'm a friendly, neat and tidy low key kind of person. Looking for some friendly cheerful housemates who like a chat but also appreciate down time. I love art & design, Netflix & pizza and wine & chats. I’m usually pretty busy at work during the week, some weekends I’m out and about and others I’m relaxing at home. I have a 3 year old whippet, she's very quiet and fully house trained. It would be great if my future housemate has a dog to keep her company but not a deal breaker. My dog has lived with cats before and is fine with them. She's lazy and very affectionate. Looking for a calm, cheerful, quiet & relaxed house. I’m looking to move March 2018.
Hey everyone! I’m a responsible, clean, friendly musical type looking for a long term/permanent home for about 1yr+. Available to move in NOW. Read on for details! I'm a 28 year old friendly & housetrained musician, I have a steady income teaching voice, modelling, & working in events. Been renting for 11 years and never had trouble paying rent or bills. I'm super clean & tidy. I sing a lot but I'm apparently pretty good at it. (I don't mind if you sing badly though! No judgement!) I don't drink much but up for a wine now and then (I drink like 2 glasses max so I’ll ask for your help if I buy a bottle of red), I don't smoke (no indoor smoking houses please). I wanna live in a HOME, not just a house... with friendly people who have their own lives and value time alone, but also want to hang out regularly/chat at the end of the day over a meal or wine or tea and share a meal or do stuff together now and then. I'm done with houses where I hardly ever see anyone, time for a housefam vibe! Bonus points if you're musical/artsy, especially if you like funky music, and the decor style is art & houseplants. Super bonus if the house gets good sunlight…! I need somewhere off-street to chain up my little postie motorbike (garden/side path is fine). I come with hardly any furniture (so I'm looking for an already established place), but I do have a (very small, halfsize upright) piano I would love to bring, so hopefully there's a nook for it somewhere? (you are welcome to play it!) If there’s no room for it / already a piano in the house (!) I can put it in my studio, so no biggie. I'll be away for 2 months in either May/June or June/July, so you'd need to be okay with me sub-letting my room during that time (but I am very protective of my home & belongings, so you can bet your booty I'll be choosy about who comes in, and you get a say in it too of course. Usually I'd get someone I know from Tassie.) Hit me up if you think I might be a good match for your home! xox
I'm a 19 year old student looking for a long term room. I'm studying Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne full time, and working part time as a gymnastics coach. I'm fairly flexible in terms of a move in date.
Hi there! My name is Amelia and I am currently looking to team up with someone in our search for a new place to live. I am a nurse, 29 years old, who also studies part time on top of that. I am a fairly sociable person and am out a couple of nights a week. I am looking for someone who is clean and considerate and is happy to share an occasional meal but happy doing own thing as well. I have essentially a house full of furniture (couch, table, fridge, kitchen stuff, washing machine, dryer, BBQ etc - only do not have TV/ Microwave / stuff for a second bedroom). If that suits and kind-of what you are looking for, let me know. I currently live in Coburg and catch the 58 tram to work. My current housemate and I have been here for over a year, but it's time to find a new place. I am ideally looking for somewhere in the Coburg / Brunswick area.
Two friends looking for a place to move into. Very friendly and clean. Hard workers who are relaxed and enjoy meeting new people.

Hi there, I'm Aarati and I've just started a full time job in Melbourne and I'm looking for a place to rent, by myself (no shared rentals please) in one of the suburbs listed (or any other surrounding suburbs). I'm looking to move in straight away and can have bond to you straight up. I am sensible, mature and an extremely clean girl so the rental/unit etc. will be left in the condition that it was when I moved in. I'm looking for 6-12 months for the rental. Rent and bond will not be an issue as I'm working full time but I need a furnished place please. I don't mind if bills are included in rental price or if they are forwarded to me as they come in. The place doesn't need parking as I will use public transport. Please message on here if you have something suitable and we can talk inspection times. Kind regards, Aarati.
Hi there! My name is Suelin and I'm looking for a room in a friendly sharehouse. I'm relatively new to Melbourne, having relocated from Newcastle in pursuit of career and other opportunities, and I'm looking forward to seeing what this city has to offer! I grew up in Sydney and then lived in Newcastle for most of my adult life, which I loved, but always wanted a chance to live in Melbourne. I love everything about this city! I still have so much left to explore. I will be studying nursing at La Trobe next year, and this year I'm going to focus on working, volunteering, and exploring the city. I'm friendly, easy going, and reliable. My most important values are honesty, compassion, and respect. I'm sociable but also quiet and clean. I have a few friends here but I prefer to go out and do things outside the house, so I don't have friends over often. And I'm always open to making new friends too! I love pets, especially cats, so would welcome a place with pets (cat in photo is not my own). My other interests/hobbies are music, film, gaming, exploring nature, riding my bike (although I'm out of practise), science and maths, plants, playing keyboard and guitar (again, out of practise), just exploring the city, comedy shows, trivia nights, card games, and reading. I'm not picky with location, but I'm hoping for a place near public transport. Either furnished or unfurnished works for me. If you think I would be a good fit for your home, get in touch and I can answer any questions you have and hopefully organise a meetup.
