The generous master-bedroom of this delightfully cosy apartment is the perfect place to come home to! The room is yours to furnish, but the rest of the flat comes with all the necessary and aesthetic bits (BYO flair and fun decor choices). The open plan lounge/kitchen gives the place an airy feel, the large window welcomes the afternoon sun and shiny wooden floors are fun for sock-sliding. The balcony is ace for quick laundry drying. There's a dishwasher, but you might have to bring some more butter knives if you're keen to use it. The lounge room is TV-less, but chill tunes, warm lighting and hearty laughter is encouraged. Just a 2 minute walk from the Summer Hill train station (!!!), an 8 minute walk from the light rail station and around the corner from Paramatta Road buses, we're in the golden-triangle of public transport! But why would you want to leave when Summer Hill is jam-packed with darling cafes, rad bars and an IGA just behind the station (Ashfield mall feat. Aldi and K-Mart is nearish too).
The house is 5 bedrooms with two bathrooms, large living/dinning room and lounge room. The upstairs bathroom has been renovated within the last 18 months and the kitchen is less than 6 months old. We are less than two minute walk to Summer Hill station and the even closer to the vibrant cafes & restaurants, including Andiamo Pizzeria (arguably the best pizza in Sydney!). Summer Hill is a 15 minute train ride to Central. Rent includes internet and a cleaner (you didn't misread that - a cleaner!). About the room: The room is quite spacious and will easily fit a queen size bed, dresser and other furniture About the housemates: We like to think our house is more of a home. Everyone is very easy going and we have a good mix of people: Michael, Aimee, Elline and Tom. We enjoy a glass of wine and good conversation in our beautiful courtyard (pictured) however we still enjoy our own space. This is definitely not a party house. If you have any questions or would like to come and say hi please let me know. Tom
The unit is timber floor throughout, air-con, spacious kitchen, large living space and a balcony. We are moving into this property in mid-January 2019 and honestly, I'm amazed by the fact how convenience to go to all funky neighbours such as Newtown, St Peters, Stanmore, Leichhardt and just catch train pretty much door to door all the way to the CBD. We also have a Burmese cat which we love very much - you can check her out on IG: Shiro_theburmese :) No parking in the building, but you can find off street parking around the area
Felipe, 31, Male Full time Graphic Designer; Looking forward for a clean, and nice single place which I could call home. Responsible, easy going, clean & pet friendly. I am open to share/cook the occasional meal, have a conversation, or share a good beer once in a while. Pay rent and bills on time Feel free to send me a buzz anytime
I'm an Israeli-Australian ESL teacher. I'm quiet and easy-going.
Hey guys! Just graduated from architecture, looking to move out into a comfortable place with some friendly people, I'm really easy going and love to have fun but also know how to keep to myself. Currently interviewing for full-time architectural positions, and planning to get a casual job over the christmas break (I've worked in hospitality for years so won't have any problems with that). I'm totally fine with dogs, I used to have one myself (but don't anymore sadly). Ideally I'd be looking to be a third addition to a household in a mid-sized room, but I'm not too fussed as long as things are affordable.
Hi! I'm open-minded and friendly. I enjoy both a chill night-in and night-out. I'm a recent graduate, working casually while looking for a full-time job. I'm looking to move around early Jan, so I hope that I can find a nice place to stay! I respect other's privacy and I treat shared spaces well :)
Hi, my name is Monica, I'm from Sydney and I am 28 years old. I am a qualified interior designer currently working in the property styling industry full time. I am respectful and tidy and love to make the space I live in beautiful (thanks to my job!) I am punctual and pay all my bills on time so you won't have to worry about me at all. I mostly like somewhere clean and quiet to relax after a day at work but can be quite social so would be happy to have a chat and share a beer or wine after a busy day. I’m not big on parties but don’t mind guests as long as they are respectful. I am currently renting a studio and have all the furniture required to furnish a living/dining area plus cutlery and appliances such as a fridge, washing machine, microwave etc so potential flat mates do not need to worry about organising these items - I have it all!
I'm an art and design high school teacher by trade and serial hobbyist by night. I dabble in woodwork and printing on the side. I've had my fair share of house sharing days and am ready to start my quiet own little nook to call home with a reliable good human-to-be-friend. I'm very into communal work spaces within the house, a clean living space and a good kitchen for cheeky cook ups. I'd ideally like to find a smallish house in a leafy area with 1 or 2 others in early 2019 (dates flexible). Hit me up if this sounds like your jam!
I will be starting a graduate program on February 4 for Lendlease in a Health, Safety & Environment role. I will be moving over to Sydney from Perth for this new job and would ideally like to move in a few days before the start date so I can settle in and get to know my surroundings. I like to regularly go to the gym to stay fit, go and see music acts especially at festivals, and I enjoy binge watching tv shows and playing video games.
I am a 52 year old male with a very friendly medium sized dog. So I am looking for a flatmate who likes dogs and has a house with a backyard. He is an inside dog when I am home. Flexible at the moment with moving date. I am looking for a house with a relaxed atmosphere.
Laid-back, chilled and very open. I pride myself on understanding and knowing people, and being friendly. I have a passion for music, writing and video games. Love a kick-back with a couple drinks with friends, but am a fairly quiet keep-to-myself type as well.
Easy going mid 20's male looking to move into the city from the blue mountains, respectful. Loves music and meeting people. Wants to get a bit more out of life so moving closer to the city seems like the logical choice. I work part time at a factory in lidcombe. Cant wait to check out some venues, cafes and overall experience of living near the city. Would preferably like to live with outgoing, fun people similar in age. I do smoke but currently trying to quit. Give us a bell if this sounds like your guy! 😁
I'm an easy going man coming from France, I respect people space, which is a thing I consider very important. Then I like to netflix and chill, going out for a drink, simple things of life. I'm not great at cooking so you won't see me a lot in the kitchen area haha I used to live Sydney last year and I'm coming back here as a student for at least 3 years. Feel free to contact me ;-)
We are a young couple who are laid-back and passionate about our work and study. Adrian is an engineer and Aly works in education. We both work in the city and study part time. We are quiet and like time to ourselves but also enjoy the occasional drink and are looking for flatmates who are open to casually socialising. Both of us enjoy board game and card nights! We are friendly people who enjoy a relaxed lifestyle. Both of us grew up in Sydney, and are moving from the Hills District. - LGBT+ friendly - Non-smokers
I would like to talk and interact with other people and always love to mingle with all culture, my previous room mates say I am easy-going and sociable guy whom u can trust like a family member.
I'm from Brazil and I've been in Australia for 6 month now. I'm studying Leadership and Management 2 days a week in the city and I work full time as a driver delivering supplies for a tiler. I'm a peaceful, respectful and very tidy person. I like yoga, meditation and I don't eat meat. I like beaches, camping and all outdoor stuff. I like exercising and i go to the gym at least 4 days a weak. I'm looking for a clean and organised place that I can share with good people.
I am quiet, respectful, polite and I like to keep things neat and tidy. I’m a nutritionist so I’m pretty busy most days mon-fri and usually like to chill on the weekends or catch up with friends. I’m studying part time at Sydney Uni and saving for my home deposit and would like to share with other like minded people. I’m into sustainability, saving money, kirribilli markets, and like pets dogs and cats do not bother me as long as they are toilet trained! I’ve lived in shared accomodation mostly in London when I lived there. Whilst I do lead a busy life I am not opposed to having a chat or the occasional flat mates dinner. Look forward to hearing from you.
Hi, I'm Melissa. I've been living in Summer Hill for nearly 6 years now and I really love the area, but my apartment is very old, so I'm looking for something new. About me: I've just started working at The Salvation Army which is amazing and have just finished an Arts degree at MQ uni. I'm now hoping to turn my attentions to various creative pursuits (crafts, performance, side hustle) with my newfound free time. I'd love to travel more and have been to the South Pacific and Portugal, with brief stopovers in Spain, Abu Dhabi and Germany. I am absolutely fascinated with psychology and why people do what they do, but I'm also equally fascinated with spirituality and all things woo-woo. (I have crystals and card decks for every mood and occasion). I love arts and crafts, although procrastinate actually doing anything with that, and I'd love to get into acting, more dancing, writing and fashion design, amongst other things. I consider myself to be intelligent, witty, fluent in sarcasm and smartassery, but also a sincere, loving, genuine, caring and supportive friend. What I'm looking for: Preferably female, ideally 2, but I'm open and flexible, depending on the vibe of the place and the people. Not fussed about employment status, although we might have more to talk about if you're a student/professional or both. Ideally non-smoker. Pet friendly (I've love one but my lease doesn't allow it). Like-minded. I love to have a chat at the end of the day and hang out, but also really enjoy my own private time and space (empath problems, also living solo for 12 months decreases tolerance levels towards other people for long periods of time, but gets kinda lonely and isolating, hence looking for somewhere new with good people). I'm looking for somewhere that's quite spacious and secure, ideally first floor (my current place has a garage underneath making it almost 2 story level, but still first floor), with plenty of light, separate internal laundry, large private balcony (to be shared with flatmates that is), lock up garage, separate shower and bath preferred, relatively short walk to the station and bus stop (around 5 mins would be awesome, but nothing more than 10 mins would still work), quiet tree-lined street with parks within walking distance, about 15 mins to the CBD, city/park views would be amazing. Modern and spacious kitchen (preferable electric cook top and neutral tones), less than 10 mins walk to supermarket/shopping centre, close to bike/walking track, unfurnished, good quality unlimited internet and utilities. Ideally I was looking to find someone/s to start a team up with as I've got a fairly solid idea of what I want in a place and can just get existing utilities redirected, I just need to find that place and flatmate/s to share with. I'm open to sharing in an already established flat share if your place sounds like what I've described above and you feel like I would be a good fit/someone you'd like to share with. I'm not in any particular hurry to move out, but am keen to move into the next stage of my life which I feel means moving on from my current place. However, I want to make sure I find the right place and person/s to share with before doing so. Feel free to contact me either way to discuss further. Thanks. :-)
I am from Canada moving to Sydney to pursue my Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. I enjoy staying active whether it be through sports or the gym. I am a pretty easy going, tidy person who would love to catch up with my other flatmates over dinner or drinks, but also respect everyone's need for alone time. I love to travel and am excited to explore the city and beaches of Sydney on the weekends! Looking for a place to move into early February 2019.
Hello Everyone! Originally from Wagga, I moved to Sydney to study engineering and I have been share housing in the Inner West for a few years now. Living within walking distance to a train station is ideal but not necessary. I like to cook and meal prep as well as clean my dishes! I am looking for a room to rent in a house that is relatively chill, I consider myself somewhat of an introvert and I value housemates that respect privacy and study time. When I am not busy with uni work, I'm more than happy to chill. I don't drink much (student budget) but I won't say no to a free beer!
