$450/week•55 year old woman
Home needs to be a positive, nurturing, peaceful environment for me to thrive. I'm surrounded by long term (though busy) friends who I'm in regular contact with but they are not in Melbourne. I am a chatterbox when there are people around but also enjoy solitude. I'm well-educated and have been self-employed for most of my life. Circumstances are that I've had to return to Victoria, from 25 years in WA, to assist my family and now am in hospital regularly with the Austin and allied health myself.
I grew up on Rosanna Rd, went to school at St John's then to Gen etc. So Rosanna/Heidelberg/Ivanhoe/Kew etc is my old stomping ground.
I'm spending time this year spoiling myself immersing in arthouse film and theatre, stand-up comedy and improv, fringe arts festivals etc, Melbourne's attractions, the local aquatic centre, massage, and international cuisine and culture.
In between that and medical commitments, I eat super-healthy (high protein, high energy as per my own needs) and don't drink anymore but do gain vicarious pleasure from others sipping a cocktail, popping bubbles, or sipping a Chivas 21. I spend time with my 80yo dad in East Gippsland when possible but talk with him daily.
I am unable to contribute to gardening or other manual duties but will clean up after myself. Depending on the circumstances I am willing to engage, or contribute to the cost of, a cleaner. I'm also a pretty good cook with Euro heritage so happy to cook meals for you when you need a hand and I'm able to. I'm big on cooking fresh meals in minimal time with minimal mess and maximum colours and flavours and textures.
Ideally, I'd prefer my own space ie bathroom/ensuite etc. I'd prefer to live alone or share with one other non smoker/social drinker who doesn’t use the house as a social thoroughfare. I occasionally require a wheelie-walker for a couple of days so accessibility is important to me. I have a car so parking is brilliant but negotiable - it's not currently in Melbourne and manage comfortably without it. And timing isn't too important to me as I have places to stay until something wonderful comes up. I am an animal lover but if you have a cat or two it's a bonus - I'm up for spoils, treats and shared couch/bed time.
I am a teacher (Secondary) and lawyer (Criminal/Family/Child Protection predominantly) but not currently working.
Even if now is not necessarily on the cards, please make contact and keep me in your back pocket in case your new situation doesn’t pan out as anticipated.
I nominated $450 pw but this would ideally include bills/utilities. I have my own mobile and net/data if there is no wifi available. I'm flexible with stay length but do not have plans to leave Melbourne. Happy to chat and negotiate what will work best - Lisa
