Hello, So I recently leased a BRAND NEW (i.e. no one has lived in it yet). Its a beautiful wooden eco-house on the BEACH in Taroona. The master + ensuite have been gulped up until August; and the medium bedroom has been taken leaving two rooms still up for grabs. Rooms Available: 1. "Small" room - The "small" room is actually the laundry. Currently there is a door on one side and a curtain, and a single mattress and wardrobe space/extra floor space for storage/a small desk. I have cut the rent because I dont feel right renting it out at the proper price until i can get a door in. This room is good for someone looking for a short term place to crash as it far superior to a hostel (clean, only a few people, on the beach) and cheaper! 2. Large room - There is also a large room available. The room is currently furnished with a double bed (can get queen if you really want) and mattress and built in wardrobe. I will be getting in a desk + chair in about 2 weeks. (15 april) This room would suit a couple but you would be sharing the bathroom with one other person. I prefer long termers for this room BUT short stays are welcome. Bills: Parking & unlimited internet available. Rent is ALL BILLS INCLUSIVE (internet too) Toiletries: You will need to chip in an extra $2.50/week for toilet paper, handwash, detergent, laundry powder, softener, disinfectant etc etc. ($10/month) Rest of house: Kitchen, balcony, large living room, undercover parking, garden, direct path 10m to the beach in Taroona, The rest of the house is furnished - dining table, balcony, fridge, microwave, vacuum cleaner, toiletries, cutlery. dinnerware, cooking utensils etc. Length of Stay: There is NO minimum - you can stay one night if you want, provided the room you want is free that night (just divide the weekly rent by 7). However if you do stay less time it will be a little extra - this is negotiable, and we will talk it over. Option to sign lease also available for long-term. Basically if you tell me which room + how long you want to stay we can negotiate rent. Smoking: smokers welcome but you cant smoke in house theres a lovely verandah and garden and beach to do so Pets: indoor dogs, small pets (guinea pigs, mice), and indoor cats only. Housemates: I have leased out the master to a lovely couple, and one of the rooms to an awesome bloke at IMAS. This leaves two rooms for rent. Everyone is between 20-30 but we dont discriminate age-wise.
My house is in Taroona, whichis very close to the bus stop, only need 2min walking, and 15min to go utas and 28min to CBD by bus. The house has 5 rooms, and 5 utas students live in including me(All Chinese). The room is full furnitured, which includes a queen size bed, a large desk, and a great wardrobe. It's only 170 per week for single, and 210 per week for couple. share bills, and I prefer long-term rent (longer than 3 months). Available from Mar. 23 If you are interested, please contact me.
Hi there, I'm a new student of utas,I'm a 25 year old female, I'm quite ,easy-going and confident, I respect others and like to help people. So I think I'm a good housemate. Even though I'm gonna be a student again, but I will get some jobs to do,so maybe I do not stay at home all the time, and I never miss the rental. And other important thing is that I need the room at 23 March or near dates. If u have a room available, plz let me know.Waiting for ur reply.Cheers! Have a good day!
Hey guys, I'm pretty easy going, genuine upfront person. Honest and respectful, and tidy. I enjoy a good chat but also my solo time outdoors bike riding, hiking and doing yoga. I live a healthy organic lifestyle, i don't drink or smoke. Prefer to find natural highs in being creative, active or with music and in meditation. Looking for like minded people to share with that are independant and respectful of personal space, but like to enjoy meals together. Living in Brisbane at the moment but looking for a peaceful share house or flat i could work out of. I'm a therapist specialising in energetic healing and counselling so a quiet, naturally lush environment would be ideal. Also eager to move to Hobart for the ideal place. It's a second home for me and easy for me to relocate to. 😊✌
I desperately need somewhere to live, moved from Adelaide, SA and will be studying at UTAS. My friends would describe me as a friendly, responsible, approachable, tidy, respectful person who is quite laid back.
Hi! My names Cassie, I am 26 years old, studying teaching at Utas and I work casually in a coffee shop in Hobart CBD. My partner James is 29, studying Surveying at UTAS and works casually as a pizza cook. We have a medium sized dog called Boston, he is a Jack Russell X and the friendly-est dog ever, gets along with dogs and children, has lived with a cat before also fine :) Looking for somewhere nice and quiet to be able to throw ourselves into our studies, we have a quiet life with no wild nights out or troves of friends to bring round. Just want to get settled somewhere for as long as we can, had a terrible run of rentals and moving around in the past 12 months.
New apartment close to shop, park, bus stops and university. Top story with a view and large balcony. Available room has an in-built wardrobe (BYO bed). The rest of the house is full furnished so no need to bring anything else. NBN available.
I have been studying at UTAS and soon will graduate. I am quiet, clean, friendly. I have been living in shared houses in the past two years and never had problems with any house mates.
I am a very friendly, flexible, responsible, on my own muslim girl. Currently studying in utas. I am very fun to be around. Want to share apartment with female only. And also we can go around and share food and just have fun.

Hello peoples! So I’m searching for a housemate to share with me in a super-awesome 2 bedroom pad up on Churchill Avenue in Sandy bay. The ground floor flat is neat, clean, well lit, modern, and with a totally boss views of the river, city and mountain. (The photos probably don’t do it justice). The kitchen and bathroom are both modern, with fancy appliances. Your room is unfurnished, but has robes and is big enough to (just) fit a queen sized bed. Parking is available off street, or it’s 15 minute walk into Sandy bay which has everything. Ideally looking for responsible, professional types (I'm an engineer that works in town) and for a longer term housemate (6 months+) If you’re a friendly, fun, decent person I’d love to hear from you. Bonus points if you enjoy the outdoors (hiking, surfing, mountain biking etc. ☺ ...Oh, and I also have a spare car that you would be free to use, as long as you cover the petrol :) The room is available from late March onwards. $200 per week, bills extra.
A large bedroom with 2 sunny windows looking out to the bush in a fully-furnished 3 storey, celery-top pine pole house. Set on a tranquil, private bush block with abundant birds and wildlife above University bushland at the end of the road, a small creek runs down the middle of the block I own. Easy access to: the Uni (walk down the Mt Nelson steps, or bush track), ride (if you're fit!) or bus); Hobart; or Kingston and southern suburbs. $340/week for one person. $440 for a couple. Website showing the house, rooms and floorplan available on request. Non-smoker preferred. The more expensive Room 2 is self-contained plus an ensuite and private balcony which I let out via air bnb. You can find it (and Reviews of the room and me) on air bnb's site, https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/11801820 or I can send you those details. Neither room suitable for pets due to no fencing around the block, and ot protect local birds and wildlife. Bedroom 1 access requires use of internal stairs. A short set of external stairs lead down to the air bnb Room 2 from a large flat concrete driveway for your off-street parking.
I am looking for somewhere to live with my adorable friendly pooch Hank, who is a 4yr Staffy x Jack Russell who I rescued from the RSPCA. I am a friendly, young at heart, very quiet, clean, respectful easy going dog/animal lover and currently working part time (admin/secretary) but moving to full time work after Easter. I also wish to undertake study in the near future. I am financially secure to cover rent etc while working part time. I have recently returned to Tassie after living in Queensland for 6 months or so while caring for my mother who was ill. Hank & I love walking in the bush and dog beach/dog parks. We also love home time too. We are social but not partiers. My main priority is to find a secure & happy place to live for Hank, as he had a bit of a rough time before coming to live with me. Happy to talk to anyone, if we sound like we would be a good fit for your place. (Please note, unfortunately there is no internet access where I am currently staying so I may not respond to a message immediately but will do so as soon as I can.)
