$190/week•22 year old female
Hi! :) I'm Leah, 22, female, looking for a cozy spot to live while I work and save to move to Devonport in a year or 2. I'm always happy to help out with the housework, and I always keep my space tidy and neat. I love the beach in all weathers, cooking, animals, going on long nature walks with my sketchbook, and spending the evenings snuggled up with a good book ^_^

Hey! Need a new housemate? Would you like a 31yo musician / vocal coach / artist who is financially responsible, friendly, playful, very clean & considerate, and considers good communication a priority? Want to maybe build something beautiful together, dance in the kitchen and support & celebrate each other? Read on! I generally go by my surname, call me Tilley! (she/her) I’m originally from here, just moved back from Melbourne. (Completed my 2 week quarantine and have negative COVID test results.) At this stage I’ll be staying in Hobart til about Feb, possibly longer, we’ll see. The house I'm looking for will have: Decent sunlight, decent insulation/heating, somewhere off street for me to secure my small motorbike (this can be shed or just a side path or backyard). If the room included BIR, bed, desk, or any other furniture that’d be super helpful, but not essential. I just need enough space for a bed, some storage, some rolling-on-the-floor space, and a desk - or, if the house has a shared office space I could use, that’d be awesome! I’m working from home teaching voice via video call at the moment, only about 5-15hrs a week. Hoping to live with at least 2 others, who are not all male. Hoping to be less than 10min walk away from PT. Keen to continue living without much TV, (Netflix is ok, just not heaps of commercial TV/sports/reality TV). My desired home vibe: Clean, communicative, kind, collaborative, caring, compassionate... and maybe this time a little bit communal? (I've sampled the household-dinners-together vibe at friends' places recently and decided I'm super into it, not essential though). Love a social house with friends coming over for activities, dinners & movie nights, but not a "party house" (occasional parties are fine! Just not people over getting smashed every weekend.) My home is my sanctuary and I love my alone time and downtime but also, being connected to others is what makes me feel alive. I’d be up for trips to nature especially, having just moved back from 5 years in Melbourne! But this isn’t essential - I know everyone has their own busy lives, just saying I’m up for joining up for fun times if that’s your vibe. More about me: Queer, left-leaning politics, intersectional feminism, currently learning about what it means to be antiracist. Friendly, silly/a total dork, love art/music, real-life philosophy & learning about people & psychology. I'm always singing or listening to music but happy to be asked to be quiet when needed. Usual hours: in bed by 12ish and up around 8am, though it varies. Keen to go on longterm lease. Been renting since age 17, never had bond withheld, never had issues paying rent or bills. I do eat meat, although I am keen to learn more vego recipes/work towards being vego at home. Don't care what you eat, just don't cook fish in the microwave plz (ew). I’m happy to help out in the garden (limited experience / knowledge but can follow instructions!) and with watering houseplants (v sad I had to leave my green babies back in Melbs). We are hopefully all: - Capable of honest, open and clear communication like adults... when something is bothering you you can bring it up and we can negotiate any issues in a collaborative way... no passive aggressive notes or silent treatment. Setting boundaries verbally in a timely manner is cool. - Considerate, clean. Do our share, wiping surfaces after cooking/eating and doing dishes usually straight after eating, etc - Environmentally and energy usage conscious (tending to put some layers on first), but also not stingy, ok with putting on the heating when it’s cold. - Careful with security (diligent with locking doors & windows when leaving). - Keen to know our neighbours & feel connected to community. - Not big drinkers or heavy partiers. - Not working nights and needing to sleep all day (as I will often be making/playing music in the daytime). Bonus points if the home has a piano and/or a bath! Bonus points for any creative types! If you’d describe yourself as a “balanced” person, who doesn’t over-identify with a particular subculture but has varied interests, this might be a good match. Final note: Sadly incense, sage, palo santo etc all make me quite ill, so you’d need to be ok with not using these. If this sounds like a good match, let me know when I can check out the place and meet everyone! Cheers :)
$350/week•33 year old male
Hi my name is Luke, I was booked in to relocate to WA next month and the lease on my house end at the same time. Obviously due to covid I will be staying till it all blows over. I can safely say at least 3 months maybe longer as I have taken on more work in hobart now. Im 33 and work for myself landscaping, I'm down to earth and enjoy a chat. I have a very charming dog called 'Wal' who comes to work with me and spends a lot of time at my Ex partners house during the week or if I go away. Be sure to meet my dog Wal if you have any reservations about the pet aspect, he is a great fella, placid and a charming companion to anyone who is in his company, 100% house trained and not destruction or loud in any way. perfect dog really. Im hope I can find a place that is comfortable and has space for people to engage and have some quiet time. People id like to live with would be positive and respectful. A good sense of humour is a bonus. Cheers Luke

I’m a 20 year old first year student, studying a bachelor of science at UTAS Sandy Bay campus. I am originally from Launceston and moved in with my grandparents here in Hobart at the start of 2020 for university. As everything has moved online things have become pretty lonely, so I am looking for a new, more productive environment closer to the CBD and UTAS campus, in hopes to get myself out of my currently little bubble, meet new people and make some friends! I am a clean and tidy person, I’m a vegetarian, I love hiking and I’m a sucker for coffee! I’m currently working Friday's and weekends and I start anywhere from 5am and can finish as late as 11pm, my shift are always changing. When I have time off on weekends I’m usually studying or out in nature!

$220/week•22-25 year old male and female
Just a quick introduction about ourselves. My names Andrew and I'm a 25 year old who moved over from Melbourne a year ago. I decided to move to Tassie as I felt like I needed a change from the hustle and bustle of big city life. I currently work full-time at Howards storage world in Hobart. My partner, Ruby, is 22 and has worked in hospo for the past several years. She has enrolled in study and will be starting her course next year. We're very respectful of others and will never make a mess without cleaning it up pretty much immediately. We usually spend weekends skateboarding, cycling and long drives to explore new bush trails (wouldn't say no to a beer with the housemates though!). We both have excellent references from past rentals over several years and will be happy to provide them. If you think we'd be a good fit for the place, feel free to chuck us a message on here or call/message me.. Thanks!
