Currently: Studying Mon-Fri at Uni and working Saturdays making coffee. Loves: Reading, movie nights, card&board games, cooking (not bad at it), gardening (pretty bad at it), bushwalking (getting better!). Geeky about: Nature & animals, sci-fi & fantasy, food, drag, grassroots living. I'm pretty chill, open-minded & dorky. Also queer & plant-based. Studying full-time, so am usually pretty quiet & to myself but love a friendly chat & the odd shared meal or netflix binge sesh :) A vegan/vegetarian household would be a great bonus but not necessary, & I like the odd house party but would prefer a relatively quiet house for studying & downtime :) Possible deal-breaker: will be moving to Launnie in 2020 for further studies. But if you don't think you'd mind me kicking about your house until then, shoot me a message!
27 Year Old Full time worker - Most nights I am away playing sports, coaching volleyball or catching up with friends. When I am at home I generally read, watch movies, drink wine just to unwind from a days work. I'm clean, tidy (except some busy weeks my room can become a mess) but shared areas I make an effort to clean up after myself / as I go. I respect others privacy as well as your own belongings in the house. If you want peace and quite, a chat, an adventure or a cook up, I am happy and easy to get along with. I pay bills on time, happy to contribute to cleaning bathrooms and garden maintenance on a roster if thats how you roll. Seeking immediate housing as my lease runs out on the 29th of March.
Hi, moved to Hobart in late 2018 and into short term accommodation with friends, now looking to find something more permanent. Working for Tasmanian government full-time, no children and half Kiwi/half English. I can cook, clean and will respect your privacy whilst also being up for a beer and a chat. Looking to move asap.
I am a young guy looking to move closer to my workplace. I am outgoing and also single, so it’s just me to worry about in the house - but I am a pretty clean person and have lots of energy. I will always respect the wishes of my housemates and hope to be treated that in return. I get along well with people my age and all ages. I’ve rented in the past and always upheld a good credit rating. Hit me up if you would consider sharing the rent somewhere in the southern parts of the capital!
I am a responsible, experienced and respectful house sharer. I live a clean, positive, vibrant and healthy lifestyle. I am very aware of the needs of others and the energetic surroundings with sharing living space. I'm currently working in the Music Industry as a musician, studying part time and creating work in other fields. Looking forward to sharing with other like minded ondivuals. :)
Hi I'm relaxed and tidy, not really into partying so I don't make much noise etc. I'm in my 3rd year of a bachelor of science so most of the time I'm studying. When I have time I like to go hiking, and I am usually away every second weekend or so. I can get along with pretty much anyone so if you've got a room I'd love to meet you :) I'm looking for somewhere to live for 6 to 12 months starting at the end of June.
Looking for a 9 to 14 month stay. I'm a self employed Artist with my own Business, and am searching for a part time job. I'm friendly and easy going, kinda shy/introverted but happy to chat :) When I'm not painting and making stuff for my online shop, I love biking and going on long walks, and I'm learning to roller skate. I'm more than happy to help with any housework/chores etc, and like to keep my space and belongings clean and neat. I love some good beer and cider every now and then, but not enough to get tipsy, and I don't smoke. :D
I've moved to Tasmania to study music full-time at the UTAS Conservatorium. Whilst also studying, I like to keep active and fit. I've been rowing for the past two years, and intend to continue this coming season. Given that it's Tasmania, I'd like to go on as many outdoor adventures as I can, so welcome the company for some hikes. I keep a tidy space, and respect household agreements and ownership of chores. Whilst I do like to socialise, I appreciate down-time also. I am a non-smoker.
My girlfriend of 3 years and I are looking for shared accommodation and to create a humble abode. We relish in meeting new like-minded people. We are not party animals, but we do enjoy hanging out with friends for social drinks and game nights. We are both avid cooks, who love getting involved in the kitchen with a willingness to share and learn new recipes. We also know how important it is to keep a clean and tidy household in order to prevent conflict and promote wellbeing, which is something we have practiced in all of the houses we have lived in thus far. I have just finished a bachelor's degree in environmental science on the north coast of NSW, and will be starting a master's in planning at UTAS. I thoroughly enjoy being outdoors and hiking, kayaking and fishing. While I also love taking it easy by watching films, reading books and chatting about philosophical ideas and sharing the human experience. I think you will find that I easily mould into my surroundings and try to avoid conflict through open and clear communication. Cello is currently studying a Bachelor of art and design degree, and will be transferring over to UTAS to finish it off. Cello is a open and creative minded person who is always willing to having a conversation and participate in housemate activities. She takes great pride in cooking for others and sharing her recipes passed down by her Spanish ancestors. We are willing to both occupy a room together, but are also open to having a room each if that is more appropriate. Our current plan is to be in Hobart by around late March.
I'm moving from Melbourne to Hobart to study law full time and have an 11 yo boy who may or may not be with me depending on if he stays with his dad in Melbourne or not. I don’t smoke or drink. Eating organic as much as possible. Health and laughter is important. Love gardening and the beach.
Hello everyone, I am Sunny, I have just started my PhD at UTAS. I am looking for long term accommodation for at least 6 months or more. My partner will be moving to Hobart in a few weeks so I am looking for a place that suites us. We are respectful of others space and belongings. We are an outgoing, friendly couple and also love cooking food. We are very clean and organized. I am happy to pay bond and rent in advance upfront. Please let me know when you can arrange an inspection. Please feel free to contact me on 466639549. Thanks.
Hi, I’m a friendly 18 year old female looking for somewhere to live that's closer to UTAS. I’m very clean, and environmentally conscious. I love cooking and the outdoors, and this year will be studying science and law.
Howdy! I'm Matt, 33 years old, working full time in the city. I play Basketball and Soccer, which means I'm out of the house most nights and on the weekends. I am house trained, friendly and understand the concept of personal space! I hope to hear from you. Cheers, Matt
Earthy eco-friendly strawbale home on 8 acres of bush only 10 minutes to Hobart city centre. If you need to commute to the city, there are no traffic lights until you reach Davey Street in the city. Kingston town centre is less than five minutes drive and Kingston Beach is a great spot to launch a kayak or go for a bush walk along the Alum Cliff track. The rear verandah looks out to the bush and Kingston town Centre below. It is a good spot for coffee in the morning and beer in the evenings, while the sun sets and filters through the Tasmanian blue gum forest. There is a large vegetable garden with a chook pen. Wallabies and pademelons come out on the lawn to feed and take care of lawn mowing needs.
I am an international student from Hong Kong who are studying Cookery. 32 years old, neat, clean, do not smoke and don't do drugs. Quiet but enjoy meeting new friends.
Hi! I'm a 26 year old studying Ancient History at UTAS. I'm looking for a new long-term rental as my current landlord has decided to sell at end of my lease. I am pretty laid-back, respectful, quiet, tidy, friendly but introverted (I tend to read or watch Netflix) I would love a place where people are around in the evenings to catch up. I love books and movies/tv shows (particularly horror and fantasy/sci-fi!) history, pizza and having the odd drink of a good cider. I don't drive, so good access to public transport is a priority
FYI: You will have to submit an application with the real estate agent to be on the lease, and this will include a bond payment. As part of the application, the real estate agent will also need your last 3 payslips and a credit check. The total bond is $1800, and there will be 3 tenants in total, so $600 each. Available from the 1st of April. This is a 3 bedroom brick house, 3km from the CBD and close to the Uni. The middle room on offer is a decent size with a small built in wardrobe. The house has great views of the Derwent river, and the lounge/dining area gets a nice bit of sun during the day. The house has a large but steep backyard. The bathroom has a bit of a nursing home vibe because the previous tenant/owner was an elderly lady, but everything works. Kitchen is old but everything works and there's heaps of cupboard space. Nice big fridge. There is a large area under the house for storage/gym/anything else. unlimited NBN internet included in rent ($5 per person per week).
this is a large, modern, well appointed home close to all facilities. Located on a main bus route which is regular to the CBD and University. Approximately 14 mins to the city by bus but may be quicker especially by car only 7 mins. It is only 1 - 2 mins to the University if you have your own car. Off street parking is available. It is a very quiet, pleasant area with bush walks and sites close to see. Air conditioning available, a view, a chance you may have your own bathroom. NO smoking here. Utilities to be shared
Hi, I'm leaving my current house anytime before March 1st and would either like to join an established share house or apply for 2 bedroom places with 1 other person anywhere from Margate to New Town. (NB: I have lovely old male cat). I am open-minded, green-minded, in my 40s, love music, like questioning the status quo, and care about people and the world we live in :-). Would live with more than 1 person in right house, but if getting new place prefer just one.
Hey Guys 👋🏼 I’d love to either join an existing share house or start my own preferably with a small group either 1-3 other people. I am moving back to Tasmania after working as a teacher on a cattle station for the past 3 years. I love the outdoors, and will often go away on weekends camping. Love to have a quiet beer, but also won’t turn down a bit of a Saturday night disco. Super relaxed, and more than likely I’ll be studying after work 🤪

Dear friend My name is Jing, from China, now studying a diploma of early childhood education in Hobart CBD(school code: 41138) , which will last for two years. I go to school twice per week. I’m a very tidy, clean, quiet, organized and friendly person. Before I have help-x experience. For example, I lived in a grandpa’s house with my friend, doing gardening, housekeeping, mowing, planting vegetables, picking macadamia, rasberry, feeding chickens. I also have been a family assistant in Sydney for three months, doing housekeeping, cooking, gardening, helping take care of a 6-year-old boy. At first, I came to Australia for working and holiday, from northern part of Queensland to Sydney, Melbourne, Devenport, Hobart finally. Many friends of mine who have been to Tasmania before told me it is a place that people will fall in love with especially after you spend more time here. Therefore, I hope to experience and learn more. I’m looking for a clean, tidy and peaceful place to live in with an affordable price. Thanks. Looking forward to your reply. Peace and love. Jing.
