Hi! I'm a Canadian student coming to Tasmania to do a PhD program at the Institute of Marine & Antarctic Studies. I love to play sports, partake in athletic activities, hike, swim, and also stay in to watch movies. I'm pretty outgoing and I like to think that I get along with most people :) In terms of living situations, I am a clean person and happy to help do chores around the house. I'm looking for like-minded people to share a space with and can't wait to meet new friends.
I am Zach, originally from Bombay but I have made Hobart my home for little over a year now while pursuing my masters of applied science in biological science. Looking for a safe place with sociable and open-minded roommates. I am open-minded, cooperative and sociable. Love to learn new things and experience new cultures. The presence of your pets is highly favourable. Apart from Biology I enjoy theatre and would love to explore the city and the local wildlife in my free time. Will be at uni or at work most days of the week, but keen to kick back during the weekends. Always down for Harry Potter Movie Marathons!
Mature professional. Easy going. Tidy. Excellent rental and character references. Have 2 adult children who live in Hobart. I'm a Solicitor by occupation and am studying full time again and working part time. Love animals, cooking, gardening and most creative pursuits. I am ideally looking for a self contained independant living space or whole house alternatively either a share place with like minded person or to start a house with a like minded person. I want to live by the beach with water views and will consider South Arm, Dodges Ferry, Taroona, or similar within 40 min of Hobart.
Hi :) I'm a super clean and tidy, generally quiet, green-inclined homely homie seeking a tidy, quiet and green homely home 😁 My lifestyle tends to involve cooking, good local vegetarian/vegan food, markets, dance, dessert (I like to bake!), community connections, drawing, yoga, gardening and other creative dreamings 😊. I desire a *smoke and drug-free* sunny space (not too chic, not too shabby - rustic aok) where I can contribute my energy and create deliciousness in the kitchen, store some stuffs, maybe write and create some stuffs, and grow my own veggies :) I'm also doing my best eco-consciously, aiming for living zero waste. Ideally, a calm space with 1 other, maybe 2, (sans children) would suit me best. I enjoy deep intelligent conversation and equally my own company. 😊 Did I mention I like to cook and feed people? 😉 And did for a couple years at Source Community Wholefoods until recently 😁 I adore animals and if possible, would really like to keep my absolute lovebug of a furry feline friend (rescued from a garbage bin (!)) and his somewhat less social spirit brother (also rescued, after a torturous first few weeks in life), both of whom I am a responsible, wildlife-protecting guardian. I've also raised a couple hens who can supply golden yolks, and their bodyguard (but will rehome if necessary) 💛 For the love of fresh air, stars and energetic solitude, I crave a quiet, green space - preferably less than 30 mins to town - but am certainly open to options and ideas 😀 Please, let's talk 🕉 Smiles, Sufiyo Rubyn
I’m an open and kind person with a love for the outdoors and meeting people. An employed tour guide and vet nurse assistant I’m keen on finding a place to move into and become more independent, whilst also meeting some friendly new faces!
We are looking for a long-term steadiness share house. My name is Edward，We come from China. We are 27 years old. I have a full-time job and work from Monday to Friday at Glenorchy. My wife who Laura is a student and studying at the University of Tasmania. We are tidy ，clean and quiet, not a night owl. We hope roommate or owner easygoing and friendly. My phone number is 0405579961 text only or email email@example.com Thank you so much.
Owner of a small business which takes up majority of my time. I love coffee and keeping active. I do like to keep to myself but also enjoy casual drinks, and relaxing watching a good Netflix series. Very clean and tidy, looking for somewhere safe that allows me to have down time from work and be in a stress free environment.
The room offered is a granny flat WITHOUT ensuite bathroom attached. The main house is just metres away. The granny flat has plenty of space with a separate office and lounge area. It is fully furnished with queen sized bed, a bar fridge, office desk and chair, and a two seater lounge that looks out to the forest. Sorry no couples. The main house has a strawbale extension from a character wooden cottage. It is located high above in Kingston on a 8 acre bushland. Sunsets are great from the rear verandah and many wallabies come out to eat on the lawn. No lawn mowing required! The house also has a wood heater with plenty of wood in the forest!
The house is amazing especially for the price. Located in lower Sandy Bay with an amazing view of the Derwent, Eastern Shore and city. Has two bathrooms both with spa baths, toilets and one shower. Single garage, two lounge rooms and a large deck perfect for summer afternoons. House is practically fully furnished aside from avaliable room. Unlimited NBN. Five minute drive to uni or Sandy Bay.
I work full time in media and comms, and I’m looking for a place that is close to work but is somewhere I can unwind, read, have a chat and live life. I love to paint and draw, I’m ridiculously interested in people and I do a lot of volunteering and ministry through my Catholic parish.
The house is an Art Deco place with awesome old windows and timber floors throughout the main level. This includes a spacious open plan kitchen/dining/and several living spaces, a separate toilet, bathroom/laundry with a bathtub and shower, a shared study, and the room that is becoming available. Underneath the house is a garage/workshop, and upstairs includes 2 more bedrooms (already occupied) and a second bathroom with toilet. The backyard is also decent and backs on to a Crown Land reserve, so you can go for bush-walks if you feel like it. It's also a 5-minute walk down to Long Beach, and both levels of the house have peeks of the water. It's so beautiful to sit in the windows of the lounge area to eat breakfast in the sun... so you'll like the summer here! UTAS Sandy Bay campus is a short bus ride (stop is pretty much outside the house), 10 minute cycling (slowly!) or 20-25 minute walk away. The Sandy Bay shops just a few minutes further, and the CBD a few more minutes past that. If driving, an average trip in to the city is under 15 minutes. There is a dog here which belongs to one of the upstairs guys, so you'll need to be ok with that. He's a big softy though, hardly ever barks unless asked to (it's a 'speak' trick) and is really well trained. Current lease period goes until the end of February 2020, so we're looking for someone who will fit the house/housemates well and wants to stay a while. All rooms are an even split of the rent ($600 total = $200 each per week) plus bills. If you don't have any bedroom furniture, there's a really comfy single bed I'd be willing to leave for the right person moving in. Cheers!!
Although Suburb is listed as Kingston it's actually closer to mount nelson. New House with Air con and peaceful views in a quiet location 5 mins from Hobart cbd and 5mins from UTAS with plenty of parking. Public transport is not an option. I live with my 2 cats and work 11 day fortnights, and like to spend sundays relaxing or getting out and about. I'm a pretty quiet bloke who is looking for someone respectable and easy going.
This is a very nice new house with a spectacular view. You can see the whole beauty of Sandy Bay from the balcony. The house has a indoor car park and surrounded by beautiful garden. The bus stop is about 2 minutes walking distance. Inside the house, there is a lift which can take you from the first floor to the second floor which is the living area. And there are two big living rooms. Your room has an ensuite bathroom and toilet. The house is clean and very comfortable to live in. So welcome to join us! Couples are welcome!
I am offering a spacious, furnished room in my home which attracts lots of sun as it faces North. It is in a quiet area, leafy and green surroundings with some wildlife. Some view of the city and bridge and Derwent from Patio. The home is air conditioned or reverse cycle and is reasonable to run. I do have small dogs who are friendly so you would need to like dogs to live here. This is a no smoking house and a quiet one.
The home is located on a bus route and is close to the CBD and the University. It is in a quiet and safe area and is situated among trees and some wildlife. There is some water views although small. Lots of sun and fresh air, close to shops and on a bus stop and main terminal. I have Netflix and reverse cycle air conditioning and am equipped with a good kitchen and all appliances. The home is modern and clean. 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. Large garden area. This is a non smoking, no drug home.
Available now! We have a lovely large home in a beautiful street in Sandy Bay. We offer a generous sized room (rumpus room size) close to the University (10 min walk) and close to public transport – you would not require a car. The room has a flat screen TV, study desk, and double bed. The room is light, airy and provides you with your own private space. Windows are ceiling to floor and a sliding door opens up on to a small pebble area, making it light and airy. Wifi and power is included. The room has a large heater/air con. The room will provide you with a quiet place to study and relax, in a lovely area of Sandy Bay .
