We are wanting to find people who are interested in communal living. We are interested in shared conversations, shared decision making, shared ethics and some shared meals. We are in our 30s and looking for someone of a similar age, or definitely over 25yrs. We like to have communal areas moderately tidy and dishes in the dishwasher. We have been living in the house for 4 years with housemates but looking to make it a little more communal. Would be a great place to put down roots. The house: A homey renovated queenslander with room to share (450m2 I think). Wooden floors throughout, big airy and bright open plan lounge and dining areas- there is even room for a piano if you have one! Two upstairs verandahs to have breaky or a beer on. Renovated kitchen with dishwasher. Renovated upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. Some storage and bike parking under the house. NBN internet. The house is furnished- but there is room for your stuff too for example space where we have previously had another lounge area. The rooms are not furnished. On street parking. The rooms: It’s a 4 bedroom house with 2.5 bathrooms. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one a permanent visitor room for any houseguests. The other two rooms we are looking to rent as a package to someone or a couple looking for a bit more space. I don’t know the exact dimensions but both rooms are reasonable size, both have previously had a queen bed and desk and both have fans and built-in wardrobes. One room could be an office, a studio, a zine den or your own yoga space for example. The backyard is small and mostly the domain of the chickens but there are some raised garden beds if you have a green thumb. The location: On the boarder of Tarragindi and Annerley. Leafy area close to parks and dog parks. Close to south eastern bikepath that goes from Southbank to out as far as 8 mile plains. Buz stop 500m. Bruno’s coffee shop 500m. Café O’Mai 1km or so. Our ideal housemate: queer friendly, likes having communal meals and sharing food, mostly vego, environmentally conscious, people friendly, pet friendly, more pets negotiable. (we secretly would like a cat in the house) While we would like to occasionally have parties, it is not an every night party house- more a tea and craft-a-noon or dinner party friendly house. It is important for us to have a housemate that is also a friend.
We have a room for rent in Tarragindi which about 10km south of the CBD. The downstairs room is a large (5.3m x 3.65m) room with its own entry. It can be furnished or unfurnished depending on your preference, but room can have wardrobe, set of draws, desk, bedside table and queen sized bed. This room would be $160 per week not including bills. Bills are not included in the rent, but the bills are estimated to be around $20 a week (includes share of 100gb/month internet, home phone, gas and electricity). 2 weeks of rent is required as bond. The house situated is a lovely leafy suburb and is well furnished and has a large backyard. House is located within 5mins of the 120, 119, 113, 112 bus lines and 10mins from the Greenslopes busway, which can get you to the city in about 10-15mins. We have been able to get permission for some types of pets but cats and dogs are not allowed. Available to have a look anytime. Please contact me for more information

I see myself as down to earth kind of person, who loves a good laugh. I love animals, and have a small friendly chihuahua. I also love to garden, and collect bromeliads and tillandsias. I keep fit by exercising and eating good wholesome foods. I work fulltime as a horticulturalist, and also study at uni part time. As a flatmate, I pay my rent and bills on time, and keep the house clean and tidy. I guess I'm looking for people who are the same. I don't mind the odd get together to watch a movie or get a pizza. I'm pretty easy going and respect everyone's privacy. I'm originally from Port Douglas, and have been living in Brisbane for over ten years now.
Hi I’m Kali, I am a full time student studying psychology and coaching cheerleading on the side. Due to previously living just with my mum who works full time I’m no stranger to cooking and cleaning independently. Music lover with a friendly, bubbly personality, but also regularly indulges in much needed down time. I also love pets but have none of my own, LGBT+ ally, and just a generally overall sweet gal.
I am a tidy, clean, hard working guy. Super friendly and easy to get along with. Work as a commercial painter, 4th year apprentice.
Currently studying at Qut and working on the side.
Out going guy looking for a housemate that isn't a room dweller. I work full time and study part time so I keep myself busy. When I am not working or studying I spend a lot of time volunteering with services like SES and Orange sky.
Beautiful Queenslander, close to shops and public transport. Small shopping centre next door with a convenience store. Woolworths is a short walk away. Close to parks and busway. Undercover parking available. House is fully furnished with internet available. Washer and dryer. Dishwasher. The room has a queen sized bed in it at the moment but can be unfurnished if you'd prefer. Must like dogs as I have a very friendly blue heeler. She's well behaved but loves a pat.
Hi all! My name's Terry. I'm originally from Adelaide and I've been in Brisbane now for about 2 years. I work full-time as a soil technician for an engineering firm and I have an indoor cat named Stella who would be accompanying me, so I hope you like cats! A large/extra large room would also be ideal because I have a queen size bed and fairly huge desk. Although the desk could be swapped out for a smaller one if necessary. Sport climbing is a big part of my life when I'm not working. I often won't get home until past 8 pm during the week because I'll go climbing straight from work. I like finding new and interesting ways of keeping fit and mobile. Otherwise, I enjoy all the standard things -- getting out and about with friends, or getting out for a Sunday lunch and a cheeky drink or two.. and maybe a swim at South Bank. Mostly, I'm looking for a place I can call home. I want to find people who are proactive about making the home a nice place to coexist. I also appreciate housemates who can pay the rent and bills on time! Without meaning to sound cliche, I do like to keep things relatively clean, but I'm not at all uptight about cleanliness. If I live with super clean freaks, we may clash if you can't handle the odd dish or two being left in the sink.. As long as everyone chips in and everything gets done in a timely manner, I'm cool :) If I sound like someone you could live with, feel free to drop me a line - I'm happy to fill an empty room or do team-ups with the right people :) Hope to hear from you soon! Terry
I will have a room available some time in march. Not sure on exact date. Rent is $140 per week which includes all bills - electricity, gas, water and cable (soon to be nbn) internet. It's an older house but has lots of character. It has 3 bedrooms. Parking available in back yard. There is another house on the same block. The location is perfect - 10 mins from the city. I have lived here over 7 years and would never move unless I had to. Bus stop down the street. Close to shops, walking/cycle tracks, parks and nature reserves.
Ex military. Going back to study at Griffith University, Nathan campus interested in looking for a place to rent around the local area or surrounding burbs.
My name Adil, 34 years full-time worker, mature and respectful. I'm single dad. I have no kids 2 nights a week. I'm looking for a single parent or Familly with kids.
Keep to myself but also enjoy hanging out and doing activities with flatmates. I am tidy and organised. Interests include; music, hiking, camping, 4wding, guitar, gardening. Looking for a room in an existing house or to team up with some people and find a great new rental.
Hey, name’s Bola and I’m looking for 1-2 other people to team up with in share house close to the city. I work a part time legal admin job in the city and study Law and IT at QUT. I like my privacy and keeping the house clean, but Brisbane can be a pretty boring city, so I don’t mind people coming over, as long as their fun and respectful. I'd hope to be friends with my flatmates, and it'd be pretty cool if we could go to gigs or on roadtrips. I’d probably be best described as a night owl and like to spend my time at the gym, relaxing at home or having a night out with friends. I’m looking to move by late feburary/early March but im flexible.
Hi, I’m looking for a room to rent in a sharehouse. I preferred en-suite (room with own bathroom) but it can be compromised with share bathroom in a nice and clean house. A bit about me I moved to Australia almost 6 years ago since then living in Brisbane. I’ve just finished my studies And now working full time in a mixed day and night roster. I'm really neat and clean and I respect everyone's privacy. I am easy going and get along with everyone quickly.
Hi everyone! I just recently moved to Brisbane from Canada to pursue my Masters of Counselling at the University of Queensland and I am looking for somewhere to stay starting in February with some awesome flatmates! I am very clean, respectful, and friendly. I'm hoping to live with others whom are down for a chat, movie nights, the outdoors, or drinks on nights off!
The house is quite big with modern finishes, with a large fully fenced backyard and patio at the rear of property which is perfect for entertaining. House is airconditioned and so is the bedroom. bedroom also comes with lock-up automatic garage and is pet friendly. There are three current housemates you will be living with 2 of which have a small cat.
The house is in a quiet corner of Tarragindi. A spacious room has basic furniture (a wardrobe, a single mattress, and a desk) but we can arrange if you don’t need any of them. It’s very convenient for transportation: next to the bike path, close to 3 different bus stops: 170,120 and Holland Park bus stop station, easily reach either UQ or Griffith or CBD, also could reach highway M3 in just about 3 minutes. There is a gas station nearby within 3 min drive and shopping places can also be reached within 10-15 mins. You can park your vehicle on the street/in the front yard/in the garage. There is storage space underneath, basic gym equipment at the back room and internet provided.
