Hi there, my name is Evie and I am a 25 year old Counselling Novice and casual childcare worker. I am seeking a self contained space to love and live in, with a vision for a regenerative, gentle, meditative and creative space to call home. Garden space is such a bonus! I lead a busy life studying two days a week and working Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday afternoons. I enjoy a lush social life outside of my home space yet tend not to entertain in my own space, shy of the odd friend or two for cups of tea in the sun. I intended to find a cat to love and call my own early 2019. I look forward to hearing from you.
Hey there I am looking for a place to rent anywhere from Mt Gravatt to Salisbury. I'm also keen on finding a gym bro I enjoy having a laugh with my roommates but I am also respectful of peoples privacy and quite time also i'm great when it comes to keeping the place clean and ill never leave dishes soaking for days on end. If you think we can get along and share some fun times shoot me a message
We are a couple who have just moved back home from the UK after 2 years. I'm 24 y.o. and a barista and Brian is 29 y.o. and a chef. We love travelling, food, socialising and going out for the occasional drink. We are both tidy and respectful people and like to get along with the people we live with.
Hey! I’m looking for accommodation for at least 9 months near the Pacific Motorway for easy travel and preferably as close to the city as I can. I work two jobs in the CBD and go to university at Griffith in Mount Gravatt. I can move out anytime from today (18/10/18) and wish to have found a place by mid-November. I can pay up to $170 per week (all inclusive of bills), anything less than that is amazing! I’m a quiet, clean and respectable person who enjoys my own space as well as having little social get together a with other housemates here and there occasionally on the weekends if it happens! I have no high expectations to the room, I would just like to be able to fit my queen size bed and have a little bit of extra room for possibly a desk or more storage. Parking off the street would be an added bonus but I’m happy to park on the street if I have to. If there’s no parking offers at your room, sorry but it’s not for me! I’m great with pets, I have many friends who are part of the LGBTQI+ community so there’s no issue there and I’m SUPER conscious of cleaning up after myself. What more could you want? 😂 If I sound like someone you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to message me. Looking forward to hearing from everyone and hopefully finding a new place soon!
THE ROOM: - 3x3.1m room with built in wardrobes - hard wooden floors - 2x windows both with blinds / fly screens LOCATION: - 600m walk to Holland Park West Busway - There is also a bus service that stops directly in front of the house - very close to the M3 (Pacific Motorway) with north and south access and exits within a few minutes drive from house - 10minute drive to the city THE HOUSE: The house is a quaint three bedroom home in a very quiet area. There is a carport with space for your own car and ample space underneath for storage. There is a large backyard and a decent sized front yard as well with a lot of trees and greenery. The kitchen is very large and relatively modern with lots of space for preparing and cooking meals. It flows through to a good sized dining and living room which makes for a nice entertaining space. Wide french doors also open up the room to the front porch which means dining outside is a great option for summer. The bathroom is large, clean and tidy with a separate bath tub. There is a small third bedroom in the house also which will be kept spare as a guest room.
I work full-time during the week and have an active social life on the weekends. When I am home I'll be relaxing watching footy. I'm easy to get along with and always down for a chat after work. Looking to live with chill people.
Doing my Masters at Griffith University and working full time so chances are I will be away for 3 days. When I'm not however, I like to cook, read, and practice piano which I recently started and trying to teach myself. I don't smoke, or drink often. I'm pretty neat person and like to be organized, and prefer to maintain the house I live in accordingly. I keep it to myself generally, but always up for a chat and night out, to know the city and people in it more.
Hi everyone, I'm Scott and I am 33 years old and have moved back to Brisbane a couple of months ago for a job, having lived here previously about 6 years ago. I work full time at a university in a role that sees me keeping long-hours during the week and occasionally on weekends. I am friendly and down to earth and have done the shared-living thing for a number of years. I am always keen for a chat, shared meal or a drink together but also respect people's privacy and that sometimes people just want their own space. Outside of work, I head to F45 most mornings, play indoor soccer one night a week and once the season comes around will be playing outdoor soccer as well. If not playing sport, I love watching it so will be aiming to take in live sport whenever possible. Having lived in Brisbane before I have a great network of friends who I catch up with. I moved from Newcastle so I will be missing the beach so now the warmer weather is arriving I will be doing day trips north and south and discovering parts of the coast. Looking for a place that is more than a room, where the housemates all get along and are fairly similar in age, sociable and it feels like home. Not wanting a party house, but one where the visitors are welcome would be nice. Preferably sharing with only one or two others. I do have all my own bedroom furniture and some other personal belongings in storage at the moment, so would prefer to use them and stop paying the storage fees, so my preference is for a unfurnished room. I am ultra-reliable with rent and bills and also like to keep where I live nice and clean, by no means am I OCD about it, but certainly a level where you are comfortable having unexpected guests dropping by. I am looking for a place on the south side of Brisbane but not settled on a particular suburb, it is about the people and the place more than a particular location. I have until late December to find somewhere so not in a rush, but also able to move at short-notice for the right place. If I sound like I could be a match for you, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Thanks, Scott
Hey guys, I am Tobias, 25 years old and come from Germany to Brisbane on 24th of October! I am currently studying my Master in Public Health in Berlin. From November on, I’m going to study at the Griffith University (Nathan Campus) Public Health for one Trimester. Before travelling to Australia, I’ve been to India with the student association AIESEC, to Sri Lanka to attend a Summer School and a lot of European countries for vacation! I love good food and like to cook in company. I’m also a big fan of board game nights, all kind of sports (especially playing Ultimate Frisbee!!), concerts, cinema-visits or just cozy evenings with a good movie/ series on the couch. I'm a decent guy and interested in a flat promising a mix of comfort and fun. Since I do a weekend trip with the Griffith University after my arrival, I am looking for a room from 29th October (but that's flexible). It’s possible for me to skype with you from now on and/or come for a visit between 24th, 25th or 29th to 31st of October.
We are in a tranquil location but not far from the CBD, bus stop right in front of th house. the flat has a front-yard (it is a unit) air con, dryer, dishwasher. No carpet all wooden floor so very easy maintenance. I am easy going and I spend most of my day outside so you get to have the flat all for yourself for most of the day. Cafes are all around the place and shopping Wollies at 15 minutes walk.
I am very laid back, tidy but not neurotic about being clean. I am looking to live with friendly open minded people, preferably in a social household. I love art, teas, gin (sometimes) and animals. Waterfalls, natural swimming holes and rainforresty environments bring me a lot of joy also. I eat mostly plant based at home so if you're vegan you won't have to worry about me bringing non vegan foods into the house. I would prefer to move somewhere in south Brisbane. Open to male and female housemates.
My name is Morgan and I'm on the hunt for a room to rent/board in Brisbane. I am a 24 year old female and my partner, India is also 24. We are a lesbian couple so I'm obviously looking for somewhere LGBT friendly. We moved from Brisbane to Rockhampton a year ago to run a cleaning business (so we are naturally very tidy people 😉) - we have decided to move back to Brisbane and are looking for a room to rent for a few months (open to negotiating on length of stay). We have a 2 year old desexed male ragdoll cat, Louis, who is an absolute gem. He is an inside cat, toilet trained, he usually keeps to himself (or follows me everywhere) and of course we keep his toilet area immaculate. India and I like to keep to ourselves too, however we enjoy cooking and having a few drinks with housemates if you're down for it. We are both responsible and clean people. We work in hospitality and run our business on the side. India also starts her study in midwifery in the next couple of months. Please msg me if you have anything available or would like to ask me more questions. Happy to provide references from people we've rented from in the past. Morgan loves cooking (plant based), animals, gardening, writing, reading, yoga and healthy living. India is a sneaker-head, fashionista who knows every lyric to every song. She is a fantastic cook and specialises in chicken wangs ;)
Owner occupier so not tied by real estate agent visits or sales. Quiet street in leafy suburb close to bus stops. Living with a professional house proud quiet gay couple (48 and 54) who are considered friendly, selfless and down to earth. Foxtel access, no air conditioning but one room is airy and other one has a fan. Choice of two bedrooms. You must be trust worthy as we do go away regularly and will rely on someone looking after the home. Definately not a party home.
My name is Caitlin, I'm currently looking to team up with either 1 or 2 people to share a small house with, around Mt Gravatt, Holland Park West or Greenslopes. My main goal for location is to have excellent access to the southbound on ramps for the M3 as I travel south every day for work. I work full time in Loganholme 8.30am-6pm, I love to do Yoga and Barre classes, I read voraciously and I've applied to do a second degree starting from next year on the side as an external student. I have a busy social calendar, I like going out a couple of times during the week for quiet dinners to see my boyfriend or friends, I usually head out to dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, I take occasional day trips on a Saturday or Sunday to the beach, and love going to the farmers markets on a Sunday morning. My boyfriend does stay over a couple nights a week at varying intervals depending on our work schedules. My partner is an admitted solicitor who works really hard and long hours, so we make the most of the free time we can find. He is extremely tidy and respectful. I do also like to have the occasional dinner party at home as I enjoy trying to cook new things with good company. And of course I love a good night in on the couch catching up on the Block, MAFS or something on Netflix etc. I'm a happy and bubbly person who's always happy to have a chat over a coffee or a glass of wine with housemates. Whilst I have my own friends, I am always happy to make more. I have a tiny Toy Poodle x Maltese dog who is 10 years old, fully toilet trained, and completely adorable. She's an indoor dog but loves to go for walks and a run on the beach. Because she's so small, I do have to consider how good the fencing is when looking at a property - she fits through the tiniest gaps. So a good fence is a must. I've already inspected a few properties in these areas and have seen good 3 bedroom places for about $450 - which is about $150/person between 3 and really ideal! I could stretch up to $200/week but would prefer not to if we don't have to. I have a lot of my own furniture already and can bring a lot of a house set up to the table, eg TV, big share couch, bookcases, cutlery, crockery etc. I don't have a fridge or a washing machine but am willing to consider purchasing additional big items that I would take with me if I was to go. Let me know if you'd be interested in teaming up to rent a property. My move date is extremely flexible as I'm not currently in a lease. Caitlin
Hi, I'm Karina :) I work full time at the rspca (monday to friday). I'm very tidy and respectful of everyone's space. I have a happy rescue dog Willow who can be unsure of new people at first but once she is comfortable with you she is extremely social! I'm wanting to live with people that would be happy to have her around as a part of the family :). She stays outside when no one is home but is used to being allowed in doors to relax when people are around / sleeps inside with me. I'm either at the beach surfing, adventuring with my dog / friends or relaxing at home. As i do work 8+ hours a day I am looking for a home that has grass/ a yard for willow to relax in. I also go away on weekends sometimes for trips in my van. I'm friendly and easy going, always up for a laugh and a wine/beer. I'm not the greatest cook but am definitely trying to learn :) I need full fencing for willow but she has lived with other dogs so doesn't need to be on her own. Thanks!
I'm clean, I like to cook, I enjoy socialising and have a mild obsession with music. I recently moved back from the UK (hence why I'm looking for a place). By day I work as a developer of sorts in the city, its a job that is both massively frustrating and extremely enjoyable. Double edged sword and all that. By night I work on various start ups (not my own). My previous share house experience includes 3 years in Rochedale South, with two dogs and Auchenflower for 2 years. When I'm not working, I enjoy working on cars, exploring, going to the gym and socialising with friends. I also quite like making cocktails and enjoy the odd beer :)
I'm a young professional (Mid-20's) working in the sports industry. It'd be great to find housemates to enjoy downtime with and try new activities. I'd get along best with young, active and health conscious housemates around the same age. In my downtime I enjoy: - Cooking and trying new foods - Going to the gym, Bodyboarding, Ukulele and singing badly - Board Games, Reading, Winding down in front of a view or nature - Watching/playing sports Also: - Pet friendly - During my work season I'm fairly busy and frequently away on weekends - I highly value honesty and reliability and would expect the same from potential roommates
One is a Full time Professional working Monday to Friday and the other roommate works in events and has changing hours every week-this means you may often have the place to yourself or some wonderful company! We enjoy being social, cooking, entertaining, and chatting. You will often find us cooking dinner, drinking wine and eating cheese. We are clean and tidy and looking for someone who has a like minded and fun personality!
Coming back home from a working holiday in Canada, and looking for a great new place to move in to and hopefully make new friends :) I consider myself compliant and flexible, my best housing situations have been where we have all got along, so I like to do my part to contribute to a happy household, happy to share the chores and expenses of course. I am quiet and will keep to myself, but always down to hang out, watch tv, play games or make dinner together (I can make a killer home made spag bol). I am currently in the job application process, but will be working full time as a laboratory assistant. I don't have a car, and will be using my bike and public transit to get around. There is a particular apartment in Moorooka I am interested in teaming up with and applying for with one other room mate, so contact me if you are interested in teaming up, but of course also if you are interested in me joining your sharehouse/apartment.
