Hello! I'm Madi, I'm 23 - a barista, yoga teacher and studying Western Herbal Medicine. I'm a pretty chilled gal: vegetarian, super clean, tidy, easy to live with, friendly, positive, hard working and respectful. I've got a little Pug (Phillip) so I'd love a place where we can both have a little outdoor area to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. :) He's grown up in apartments so is super well behaved and toilet trained - and the sweetest most fun little guy you'll meet. I love the outdoors, travel, ocean, yoga, keeping active, gardening, living sustainably, and relaxing with a wine and good company!
Originally from Wales, UK. Moved to Oz over 5 years ago. Moving interstate from Dubbo NSW to the Brisbane area. I will have little furniture so would be nice to find something furnished. Unfortunately i won't be walking in to a job when i move, so it will be tricky to get work until i am actually living closer, HOWEVER I will be able to support myself and to pay the rent until i do get employment. I have 1 female desexed Husky called Xena. She is very friendly with people but takes a while to warm to other dogs. I rescued her from a shelter so i am not sure of her history. She is house trained. I will be in the Brisbane area between xmas and new year. Would be a great opportunity for a meet n greet if anyone would like to take us in! I can have a good time when the mood suits, but i also respect everyone's privacy and hope you would do the same. I am social and enjoy hanging out with other like minded people. I can be spontaneous!
I am looking for a room with ensuite in a share house (as $200 is around my budget!). I start Masters in Developmental Psychology next year at QUT Kelvin Grove - looking for somewhere comfortable to make home before I start in Feb. I am clean, easy going, friendly but respectful of privacy and reliable!
Hey, I'm Darcy. I work in disability support, usually day shifts but occasionally overnight. I'm looking for somewhere reasonably close to the valley, in my free time I'm usually at Netherworld playing pinball, going to gigs or reading. I'm tidy, respectful, and generally pretty easygoing and easy to live with.
Heya, I’m a bubbly and outgoing person who’s always up to have a friendly chat. I am also a clean and tidy (bit of a neat freak actually) and is fully capable to cook for myself or others. I really enjoy my own time but are also looking for roommates who would like to be friends and occasionally be keen to have a drink once in a while. I recently moved to Brisbane for uni from a small beachy town, so I’m still relatively adjusting to the city life. I'm looking to move around end of Jan/ beginning of Feb, if you are looking around those dates as well then don't be afraid to hmu if interested. Only looking to share a house with 1 or 2 female roommates.
Hi, I'm Dan. I'm a 37 year old single gay guy. I just moved back after travelling for a few months. I'm a bubbly, optomistic guy. I'm not a party animal, but love a glass of red. I'm very clean too. I actually love cleaning. Why i don't know. lol. I lived in Canada and NYC for almost 10 years so i have a kind of aussie / canadian accent apparently. Would love an ensuite, but totally open to the right place with the right flatmate. First world problems right... :) I would love to live with someone who is more extroverted than introverted, someone after a friend more than just sharing a living space together. I'm happy and chatty most of the time, and like similiar. I like optomists, rather than pesimists. Idea of the perfect flatmate: Happy, says " How you doing? ", loves to catch up and chat the end of the day, watch a movie together, not into drugs at all ( I never seen illicit drugs do anything good for anyone ) and loves a glass of red. Non judgemental and gay friendly. Someone who supports the gay community, even better! If you love Rupaul's Drag Race, i will love you. :) - I don't hook up much, maybe once in 3 months - but you would be cool that i'm getting laid and visa versa. lol. Some gay guys can be really snooty and uptight which i dislike. Try living with gay guys in Sydney - you leave one fork in the sink and they need to take a Valium to calm down. I'm a really happy and chatty guy - i am really not into the" i want to talk about all things vegan in your face thing " , or the " i have a political opinion about every topic and i want to annoy you with it for 2 hours and then have a go at you because of yours " Worst flatmate for me: Complete gamers, introverted and shy, rude and just says " Hi " once a day and nothing else, does everything to excess - if your a gay guy that must drink 2 bottles of wine and get smashed every time you have a drink and stumble in at 7am, good for you, but at 37, i'm a little passed that. No judgement - I was like that in my 20's, but not now. So if your LAID BACK and don't have a panic attack and meltdown about everything in life, we will get along. :)
Hello :) I'm 28, easy going, bubbly, trustworthy and considerate. I work as a Personal Assistant in the city and I'm also studying full time. I live a healthy and active lifestyle. In my spare time I enjoy catching up with friends and family over food, coffee, a movie, maybe a show at the powerhouse or some sort of outdoor exercise. I'm preferably looking for a room close to the city with a car park (or street parking) and internet. I'm also clean and tidy. I'm flexible with my move in date (sometime before mid January). Message me if you have any questions xxx
Hey! I have recently moved back from London and am trying to get my life in order before starting work in the New Year. I went to uni here, so I know a few people and the city, but I am always keen to meet new people. I tend to work long hours, so am pretty quiet during the week. But it would be awesome to move in with people who like to hang out occasionally to watch Netflix, go to brunch or drink some decent wine. Looking to live with professionals and in a place with decent sized rooms. Flexible on length of rental, but wouldn't mind starting with 3 months to see how we go.
Well I’m pretty easy going. I like to be active so if Im not indoors im most likely on some outdoor adventure. I love learning and trying to learn Spanish and french, but if your bi lingual in any language I would love to pick your brain. I also like philosophy, I like to be social and generally get along with most people, so would love to live with a house filled with beautiful energy. I have 2 beautiful pooches. That are staying with family. One is a lil blue stuffy and the other is a sharpie x Labrador would love to have them stay with me occasionally but understand if they cant. If you like to know more about me please give me a msg im pretty much an open book :) Im also looking to move in end of Nov and maybe stay 4-6 months.
I'm working for Volvo Truck in Wacol in the engineering area. Free time I'm usually spending with my friends. After work I like to work out in the gym. I love to ride a bike and snowboard in the winter time. I'm tidy and I would like to have a clean apartment. I enjoy cooking as well.
I'm a clean, considerate and laid back guy currently working in market research and studying data science. I also dabble in acting and media production when the opportunity presents itself. In my spare time I like to read, play music (among other creative pursuits) and grow plants. While I enjoy my own space I love to meet new people and have a genuine interest in getting to know the people with whom I live. I'm hoping to connect with interesting people who share an interest in developing a comfortable and nourishing communal living environment.
Hello future roommates! We're Paulina and Ricardo, a couple from Chile living in Brisbane. We've been here for the last six months and we love the city and its surroundings areas. Now we’re searching for a new place to move ideally until mid November 2019 (a little flexible). We're both civil engineers in our late 20s and like to practice sports, especially outdoor sports. We consider ourselves friendly and sociable, but also very respectful with others and their own space. We like to learn about new cultures, meet new people and learn to cook new things. Ricardo works 9 - 5 Monday to Friday in the city and Paulina works part time close to the Matter Hill Hospital. During the week we like to relax at home after work, practice some sport and cook dinner with an occasional glass of wine having a chat. During weekends, we like to search different activities to do such as riding our bicycles, do a picnic or bbq in some beautiful park, escape to the coast, looking for salsa lessons or meeting with friends for sharing a BBQ/drinks. We have some furniture which we would like to bring to the room, but it’s also possible to not take it with us. So we’re very flexible for both options (furnish/unfurnish). A little more about us. We love coffee, especially filtered coffee in the morning and if you want we can teach you our way to prepare it. We like to prepare typical cocktails/food from our country and watching live music bands. If you feel you have a room that will fit good with us, please send us a message. Cheers, Paulina and Ricardo
Hey there, I'm Maia! I'm 30 years old working as a speech pathologist around Brisbane. I will happily sit down at the end of the day and enjoy dinner and a movie with the housemate once in a while as it's always nice to have some semblance of friendship with housemates. However, I do also respect everyone's personal space and quiet time as I need it myself, especially after a long stressful day. I'm looking to move to Teneriffe/Newstead/New Farm area. My lease doesn't end until towards end of April 2019 but I wanted to see if anyone would be keen to team up and find a new place together. Another reason for putting this out early is because applications can take a month or so to be approved so I’m hoping to start looking for places by Feb/March (although if I find the right place and person to move in with before end of lease, I may consider breaking lease). I have a few furnishings but none of the essentials as I always lived in apartments that were fully furnished. I also LOVE dogs, but mine is back home so if you have one you'll make me the happiest housemate ever! Haha If you're interested in knowing more, or think we might make a good team, please feel free to get in touch!
I am happy being social or quiet, getting to know my housemates or keeping to myself. I am like the ultimate puzzle piece that can fit in any part of the puzzle. 😱❤️
Please note that I won't be able to move before 20th January 2019 and I'm only free for viewings from 12th January 2019. I’m coming to Brisbane to study for 2 years and would like to find a nice home to live in. I’m from the UK and will be taking a break from my 12 year career in technology to study at a college in the CBD. I’ve lived on my own before and also own a house in the UK, so I know what it takes to look after a home. I’m not after a party house and prefer something a bit quieter. I'm hoping for a social house that respects quiet time on school nights;) I clean up after myself in common areas and keep my mess in my room. I like to get out in nature during my spare time and hope to do a little bit of travelling too. Sometimes, I may prefer to just chill out at home. Once I have found suitable accommodation to settle in to, I will get some part time office work to help pay the bills. A good functional kitchen is a must, a shared living area would also be ideal and perhaps a garden but the garden isn't essential. Good access to transport links is a must as I won’t have a car of my own. I’ll need access to the internet to enable me to do some home study. I am open to other areas not listed in my profile, the ones I’ve listed are just a few I’m familiar with. Preferably no further than fare zone 2 on the train network. Get in touch! Please only contact me via Flatmates in the first instance. I tend not to respond to unknown messages on my mobile. Thank you.
Hi, I am from Scotland and am here on a working holiday visa hoping to stay until around May. I currently work part-time in a bar on Southbank and travel / explore in my spare time. I currently stay in Indooroopilly and am looking for somewhere equally accessible
Hey there I’m Ally, I’m kind, considerate and fun. Well traveled, well spoken, well mannered. Lived OS for many years. Love to discover new places, like to keep active and have a very positive, happy demeanor. Very clean, tidy and considerate with no personality issues. Looking for someone similar to share with; easy going, tidy people, happy to share a story or a glass of something with occasionally, who also has their own space. Happy for a furnished room with my own bathroom, ideally with a car park and bills included where possible however am flexible on all accounts for the right place. I work weekday evenings and part time during the days. Pretty busy schedule so am not around too much - perfect Flatmate!
ABOUT ME: Hi there, I am an easygoing, respectful, full of common sense, humorous but not rude Sydneysider ;) who is looking for her new home in Brisbane! ABOUT ME & MY FUTURE FLATMATE: I'd love to live with someone that is (similar to me) friendly, sociable, easy-going but also understands the need for privacy when necessary. MY PAST RENTAL HISTORY: I have been a lease-holder myself for the last 8 years, so you know I can pay my rent on time, handle landlords and share with others :) as if that wasn't enough I am more than willing to be flexible around stay length. But I'd prefer somewhere for a minimum of 6 months+ at least. WHAT WILL I BE DOING IN BRISBANE: I will be attending Griffith University to begin a Masters of Speech Pathology at the Nathan campus. I will be extremely busy, study 3-4 days (full time on campus) and in placement 1-2 days a week, in the first year. This is all during normal business hours. MY IDEAL HOME & LOCATION: I am looking for somewhere to live that is homely, easy-going, clean but not obsessive, quiet when it needs to be but not too quiet (I am not a hermit :). Somewhere that is furnished, airconditing is key as I suffer from migraines in extreme heat, would prefer bills/internet to be included in rent. I am looking for an area that doesn't necessarily need to be right next door to Nathan, but rather an area where there is a community field, shops, entertainment, safe, close to transport, close to Brisbane CBD, Nathan campus or in-between! I have my own car and will also need somewhere that I can park easily on the street (if necessary). WHEN CAN I MOVE IN: I will be arriving in Brisbane on the 3rd Jan 2019 staying in temporary accommodation and will be looking for the right person/right place to live. I would be looking to move in immediately, once I find the right flatmate/home. Cheers, Rach :)
