PICTURESQUE RIVER SETTING, ALL COSTS INCLUDED One queen bedroom available in a very roomy, clean and comfortable unit on the river at Toowong. The unit is very much a home where personal space and privacy is very respected and honesty is never an issue. Although it's a personal choice our bedroom doors are only ever closed for privacy, not to keep someone out and it’s a great way to live knowing no one will ever go into our rooms unless asked to. We share a meal when we feel like it but otherwise do our own thing and there's always a friendly word or chat as we come and go. People of all ages and nationalities have lived here and are always welcome as we've found the mix to be great, and feedback is that people have loved living here. Visitors are most welcome and also to stay if it suits all housemates. The walls are of concrete construction so there is no noise disturbance between rooms and the building is also particularly well insulated so is a very comfortable temperature. The unit is secure, has quality furnishings and especially nice beds. The rooms have plentiful storage cupboards and each contains a good desk with drawers and a quality desk chair. There is only one bathroom however with individual storage space for each person in it and a separate toilet with second hand basin, as they're kept very clean this has never been a problem. This will alter shortly though with the addition of one, if not two, more bathrooms. The stated rent includes all costs and is the total amount you'll pay. This includes fast speed internet, all cleaning, all utilities, basic kitchen needs and general shared linen. We have our own personal linen and I keep quality linen that I've bought on special should someone prefer to buy it rather than have to go and buy their own. For short term, linen can be supplied for a small cost. There is no bond but equivalent to 2 weeks basic rent is paid as a deposit and returned when vacating the room. For couples the rent is $390/wk. Transport: Approx 5 mins from the unit to waiting on the train platform, City Cat is approx a 10 min walk and UQ is walking distance away but with buses going past all the time. It's at a lovely spot on the river and handy to everything. I also have a beautiful Beale piano here, that, providing it is looked after, is also available for your use. If you're very honest, clean and good-natured you're very welcome here! Helen.
Perfect location with short walk to bus direct to the city/Uni. Coffee at bus stop is great. A couple of minutes drive to Toowong shopping center for all amenities. Opposite the botanical gardens Mt Coot-Tha, planetarium, and Mt Coot-Tha state park. Very friendly neighborhood. Dogs should be welcome on application. All bills Included in rent, Internet, water, Electricity..

Hi! We're Nikita (23, from Brisbane) and Hilary (24, from Hobart), and are friends from uni who have lived together for the past year. We are looking for one or maybe two other female housemates to team up with and find a house. We're thinking a big ol' Queenslander with plenty of space and a big deck. We both work full time, with Hilary in law, and Nikita works for government (but is going back to uni to do post-grad next year). We have stable jobs and steady income. We're just looking to move as we want to live in a house with more space. Nikita is big on gardening and is looking forward to growing some herbs. We both love to cook a lot, share a wine after a long day or on the weekends and all hang out together, but also equally like to give each other space. Some Sundays we like to host a roast and board games night :) We're looking for housemates who are also social but respectful, tidy and easy going. We like to socialise together and are really welcoming to each other's friends in the house. We would prefer no pets. Our lease ends in mid-January so we are keen to start looking ASAP. Please get in touch if we sound like the housemates for you!
Hi, I’m 24 and looking for a new place to rent peferably close to the city. I’m a causal working at Coles currenlty and looking for a 2nd job. I’m a very quite person normally and prefer to keep to myself a lot of the time. But I’m always up for a chat. I’m not much of a drinker and not one for party’s that go super late. (I like my sleep haha.) I’m a tidy person who likes to attempt to keep things in order. So if I sound like the type of person you would want to live with then feel free to message me.
im very tidy and clean person. Like to talk with people. Sometimes prefer to stay quite. Focus on my own things, not a big fan of show and drinks. Like to cook and travel.

Hi, my name's Tallulah. I'm very friendly and always up for a chat and a drink, but also enjoy my own company :) I've moved from WA this year to study marine biology at UQ, and am working in Toowong. I'd love to find a place in the Toowong/surrounding area or West End, and am happy for mixed gender or all female households. Love pets, music, the beach, movies and everything in between!
!Looking for Aug-Nov 2019! I am just a girl from Germany that loves adventures and wants to make some great memories. Currently I still go to school, but since I’m graduating next year I wanna take one year off and spend parts of it in Brisbane to travel and work there. I am a really tidy and clean person and usually get along with pretty much anyone. I love doing sport and spending time out. Furthermore I love to travel and experience new things. I love to meet new people and hope to find somebody out there I can stay with.
Hi to my future roommate(s) ;) I am David who is studying bachelor of physiotherapy at UQ. I have just finished my first year uni study and will continue my study next year. Because of my busy uni study, I will be at university almost every weekday. Also, I work about 3 times a week and my shifts are most likely in evening, so generally I come back after 9.30 pm. Therefore, we won't see each other that often during weekdays. I am an easy-going, clean, quiet and self-aware type of person. I prefer my roommate(s) is/are also clean and quiet because I still do some studies such as writing essays, finishing assignments when I am in my room. For my hobbies and interests, my favourite is playing the violin. I have just achieved Trinity College diploma for violin last year. As a result, I have to practice violin everyday for an hour. Sports are not my strength but I am pretty good at table tennis, swimming, basketball and footy (really bad at it but really wants to learn to be great). I also love travelling and camping, sometimes I do enjoy walking on the beach near Gold coast on Saturdays. During weekends, as I am most likely free, I am more than happy to have a chat, go clubbing or having a party with roommate(s) to prepare for another busy week of study. My last hobby would be cooking, I always buy fresh ingredients from Coles to make my own lunch and dinner. I am by no means of a good chef but I can ensure to have different dishes each week. You are very welcome to have a taste if my dishes can meet your standard. Anyway, I hope I can hear from you soon and good luck to find your desired rental room. Have a Good Day David
Hiya! We are a couple looking to move in together somewhere near Brisbane. We are both full-time students with part time jobs, and we will both be working full time over the summer. Sophie is studying software engineering at QUT and works at Boeing Defense Australia, and Hamish is a student nurse from UQ that works at PRN Nursing Agency. We are very clean, quiet, and spend most of our time watching Netflix, or with our families. Sophie is very involved in her uni community and has events every other night, and Hamish works a lot of hours, so we won't be home very often. Generally we will cook once or twice a week and eat the leftovers for the rest of the time, so we won't be using the kitchen much. We are both very open to meet new people, and get on well with people in living situations. Neither of us have any allergies, so if you have some, we are super keen to meet your fur-babies! Sophie has been living out of home for the last year, and been on the lease of her current house since March, so she has experience paying rent on time and managing bills. We can't wait to meet you! Sophie and Hamish :)
I'm a radiographer who's just finished a postgraduate writing course at UQ. I'm friendly, sociable, and easy to get along with. I like to cook, and while I love being around people, I'm perfectly happy entertaining myself. I'm gay, so queer-friendly households are a must.
I'm a full-time worker who's bubbly and out-going! I like to keep my place clean and spend my weekends catching up with friends, drinking too much coffee, having drinks/heading out for a night or doing life admin. I play sport a couple nights a week too. I love a good laugh and I get around a few mid-week wines after work (Winesday anyone?). Just got back from a trip overseas so I'm eager to move out of my parents place ASAP! Looking to be mates and not just strangers living together.
My name is Chris. I’m clean and house-trained. I’m vegan, but am totally respectful of others food preferences. I'm not racist, sexist or homophobic. I’m a virgo, if that’s important. I enjoy meeting new people and good chats over coffee, tea, beer, wine, water (or nothing at all!), though I guess I’m mostly a fairly quiet soul. My first passion is music - going to gigs, listening to it and occasionally making it - I’m particularly into indie, dreampop, rock, post-punk, and electronic music plus the odd guilty-pleasure… I’m always on the lookout for new music to fall in love with. I am an atheist. I love bike riding, and walking I respect the environment, love being in nature and do my best to lessen my impact on the planet. I have an interest in politics and the way the world is run. I love photography - I’m always taking photos of random things. Occasionally the photos aren’t bad. I enjoy reading - some fave authors: Will Self, William Gibson, Kurt Vonnegut, Anna Funder... I do love a good film too (but really, doesn’t pretty much everyone?) My favourite film is "Withnail And I”. I like to think that I have a good sense of humour and love to laugh (I really get off on smart British comedy especially), joke and smile, but am fascinated by the darker aspects of life. I have been working for the last 12 years as a public servant, which sometimes feels longer. I have travelled overseas a fair bit in the last 15 years or so, from living in London, Berlin and Canada, to several holidays in Europe and a trip to India. I love animals - cats in particular I really enjoy playing boardgames, and quite like the occasional computer game too. So obviously I just love hanging out at Netherworld. Love trivia nights too I’m not particularly into sport, but I do enjoy cricket, don’t mind a bit of soccer, and enjoy the odd game of squash with one of my besties too, though we're still a bit hazy on all the rules.... There's probably something really obvious about me that I've left out...
This is a unit in Toowong, conveniently located 10 minutes walk to the Wesley hospital bus stop or 8 minutes walk to Aucehnflower train station. It's also close to the Regatta hotel and Brisbane river. Great for someone who loves exercising regularly or just simply enjoying a walk by the river. You will be sharing with one other housemate who studies architecture at UQ. This is a spacious master bedroom with big wardrobes. Bills are split with the housemate and as the lease expires Feburary the 1st you may choose to sign a new contract. Feel free to come inspect the unit. :)
