I will be moving to Brisbane from Melbourne as I will be completing my postgraduate degree at UQ. I would ideally like to live in a place that doesn't take too long (~20mins) to ride my bike to and from uni. I am not too fussy with how the place may look, as long as it's comfy and safe. I am a pretty considerate person and I'd like to live with people who are also considerate in terms of keeping common areas clean and tidy and not being too loud and intrusive. I like my alone time but I'd also like to make new friends. Moving interstate will be a big change for me so it would be nice to share a house with kind, welcoming people :)
Hello potential flatmate(s)! I am looking for a house or apartment in the Paddington or Graceville area. I need something that's not too far from the motorway as I work in Ipswich. I am from Munich and a youth and disability worker and do shift work (mornings or overnight sleepovers). I enjoy painting, watching the sunrise and of course watching Netflix. Leeroy is about 5 years old and a lovable kitty. He loves humans and will snuggle up to you once he gets to know you. I am looking for a flat with one other person (maybe two other people),wooden floors,preferably with a renovated kitchen and bathroom. I like socialising but also respect that sometimes one needs a bit of space to themselves. I'm not a huge friend of parties,but love the odd dinner party or casual drinks at home. I have my own furniture including a couch,TV and book shelf as well as all the necessary bedroom furniture.
I'm fairly easy going and relaxed as a person. I keep relatively quiet during the weeks, as I work full time so definitely respect your space and privacy as much as I value my own. I'm kind of quirky and am a good source of free entertainment most of the time, with a dry sense of humour. I prefer a clean and healthy lifestyle also, so I am mostly enjoying the outdoors on weekends, either with friends or spending time with family. I don't mind the odd whiskey here and there (or red wine if you twist my arm), but I don't make a habit of it, so don't expect a big partier. I am ideally looking for a room in a share house with no more than 2 other housemates. I would prefer something with my own bathroom, but am happy to share with one other for the right household. Hi :) I'm a Canadian Masters student at UQ, been in Brisbane a year and a half now. Off to Melbourne area over the winter for an internship and renting out my room while I'm away! Our place is tucked away, so nice and quiet, but still close enough to the shops/transit. About a 7 minute walk to Toowong Village. Close to bus routes, train station and ferry terminal.
