I found the program by googling "architecture programs near surfing" so yeah, surfing is a big motivator for this life choice, as well as escaping bitterly cold winters (and, well, other things happening in the US). I am super outdoorsy and love hiking, running, backpacking, surfing, snowboarding/skiing, etc. I also love working with my hands - woodworking, sewing, gardening, leatherwork, metalwork, etc. I'm lucky enough to have traveled quite a bit - lived in Japan for a year, several months in Costa Rica and Central America, SE Asia, NZ, central Europe.
