I've travelled, lived and worked around the world so am used to sharing homes (that's right, homes - not houses). Originally from Europe, I've been calling MelbsTown home since Jan 2017. I love music and "doing things" in this great city - I will tell you about cool events before "Time Out" does. I'm often out and about working, meeting friends, volunteering, exploring, travelling and looking for the next adventure, but I like having a quiet down time at home sometimes as well. In my life I've worked as a flight attendant, teacher, event manager, waitress, interpreter and exhibitor. Oh, and I speak four languages so will give you classes if you're up for it :) I have a good sense of humour but am a terrible cook (sorry!). I'm house-trained and respectful of other people's space - you know, we're all adults when we need to :) I don't have a car so I won't need a parking place. If there's anything else you'd like to know, ask away :)
I am a full time worker and Mat is a student/part time worker, both works as chefs in brunch cafes ! We are respectful, not party type people. Both of us enjoy drinking but in moderate and non smokers. We mostly cook at home on the day we work, still know well how to use kitchen clean and keep the shared space clean after use. When we have dayoffs, we'd love not just to go out and have lunch or dinner outside, but if the weather is sadly cold and rainy, we love to stay in bed, having a netflix-chill-day. We both want to be fit, so, Mat goes to gym and I goes to swimming pool :) However we are not health-geeks more foodies. Plus, we are up for small talk or a glass of wine/beer with anyone at home :) Most importantly, we pay bills and rent ON TIME.
Hey there! My name is Abby. I work full time in South Melb. I own the most friendly and adorable red toy poodle named kumo, he's house trained and his breed doesn't shed hair. I am a dancer, go to church on Thursdays and Sundays and love to explore VIC when uni isn't so hectic. I am clean, a non smoker, don't really party hardcore but I am quite social. I am getting a car in the near future but im flexible with parking options. Ideally I'm looking for a place for me and my poodle. Cheers!
NOT INTERESTED IN SHARED ROOMS. I stay in dorm rooms when I’m travelling, but would like my own bedroom at home, thanks! 😳 Hi. I’m Maddi. 🤗 I’m 26, non smoker and don’t have any pets - but I’ll happily cuddle yours if you’ve got any! I always clean up after myself, pay my bills on time and am considerate of others schedules. I’d like roommates who do the same, but are also open to occasionally spending some time together. I enjoy going out to gigs and having a drink or two. But I’m also happy staying home for Netflix marathons. I’m currently studying Content Creation at Collarts in Collingwood (how’s that alliteration?), so I’m looking for a place nearby or with good public transport options. Would love to have wooden floorboards, but that’s obviously not essential. I just really enjoy that aesthetic. My budget is around $200 a week. Approx $870 a month. Can do a little more if the place is perfect though. Flexible with length of stay. Will consider short and long term options!
Hey friends, Boring things: I work as a teachers aide, but I also do some work in before and after school care for some extra cash! I also compete and coach in calisthenics. I study education at Deakin part time. I'm looking to live somewhere where I have friends for housemates, rather than people who just coexist as I've experienced that before and it was not fun! Fun things: I'm a pretty funny person pretty much all of the time, love some bants. I am a big fan of AFL, calisthenics, reading, socialising, napping, running, animals, bad jokes, dad jokes (are they the same thing?), bad singing, netflix and eating. I'm v clumsy. I come with a boyfriend so he'd be around sometimes, I also come with a digital piano (if there is room) because I play. Obviously. I'm also hearing impaired, you can be as loud as you like while I don't have my hearing aids in (sleep and shower time) and I'd be oblivious.
I’ve just moved to Melbourne from Brisbane and need a place to live! At the moment I am looking for furnished room, for the short term so I can get myself set up here without having to rush. At the moment I'm thinking 2-3 months term, possibly longer too but listings that are okay with short term options would suit me best for the moment. A bit more about me: I currently work in IT as a support engineer/web consultant for a software and web hosting company. I work from home, and very occasionally from library/cafe. I understand if this is a deal breaker, from being home too much.. I am looking for new work but that may take a few months anyway. I’ve lived in share houses before and also lived alone. I like my alone time, but I also like the idea of being friends with my housemates, having dinner parties as I really love to cook! Watching movies, going out on adventures, etc. I love going out for dinner too so I'm in foodie heaven being in Melbourne haha. I like the outdoors a lot, in particularly snowboarding, just got into mountain biking. I also like going to see bands play, having conversations about the state of the world, and doing what I can to live as sustainably as I can. Message me via the Flatmates and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Cheers.
We're two friends who are both busy activists looking to start a new share house. One of us works in teaching and the other in politics. We're both clean, tidy, considerate, easy-going and have geeky interests. We have a cat.
Hey, so I have just moved back to Melbourne from the surf coast- and I come with a gorgeous little puppy! I’m 32, I work full time, but in my spare time I’m doing yoga or running. A also enjoy heading out with friends for a beer on the weekend. Hope to hear from you.
Hi, I'm Louise. I'm 33, have recently moved to Melbourne from Perth, and work in law. I'm enjoying exploring Melbourne so like to get out and about, but can also be a homebody. It would be great to find a place that has a bit of a family vibe - that's always nice to come home to - but also have our own social lives. I'm flexible with that, however, as it's a bit of an ask! Keen for a clean and tidy house, but not OCD.
Hi my name is Paulina, I have been living in Melbourne for almost 2 years now! Im looking for a friendly and respectful place I can call home with housemates I hope to soon call my friends. I am currently looking to rent a 3 bedroom property, preferably in the south east but open to exploring. Both myself and my current house mate have lived in Windsor for 1 1/2 years and we are in search of a house/apartment and another room mate! Both Yvonne and I moved separately to Melbourne and have become housemates and good friends in the process. We're both 23, fun and social! I am a jewellery designer and make up artist. Yvonne is studying her masters in media/marketing. We can both talk for days however we're very respectful of personal space. We are looking for fun, easy going, clean house mates who like balance and wouldn't mind the idea of sharing stories over a glass of wine! To sumarise: 3 Bedroom team up. 2 x 190 pw rent Please feel free to ask further questions! xx P
I'm a lawyer based in the CBD and looking for a place close by to cut down my travel time. Currently in Caulfield, I'm looking to move into a share house closer to the CBD or easily accessible with public transport. I'm outgoing, bubbly, and love to have a cheeky drink on weekends (or anytime really), or alternatively just chill on the couch eating ubereats and watching footy / Netlflix. I'm clean, easy to get along with, and reliable in paying rent/bills. Ideally, I'm looking for a roommate (or roommates!) who are in their 20s-30s, are reasonably outgoing, and who are happy to chill out at home or head out on the town every now and then.
I'm 22 years old and live with my beagle, Alfie. I work, go to uni and play soccer a few days a week. We're pretty quiet and tend to keep to ourselves but are always keen to socialise. I'm generally very tidy, and am more than capable of keeping communal areas tidy too. Alfie is full of love and is great with other dogs and humans. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body and with lick anyone and anything to death. Please don't hesitate to message me if you have any further questions. :-)
I have bunch of share house experience, studying at Melb uni ft and working a couple of hospitality jobs to pay the bills. Generally down for a boogie and social bev while also understanding the value of downtime especially during semester. I am vegetarian but fine sharing kitchens with non veg. I have a cat called Charlie who is super, housetrained and lived with various other animals and humans before. I am also willing to pay EXTRA rent on Charlie's behalf if required. Looking for inner north properties for the start of the year <3
I'm looking for a place to call home in the inner suburbs, ideally near the Cranbourne/Pakenham train line, but will definitely consider another location if the place is right. I'd love to find a couple of housemates that share my values and interests, somewhere we can build a cozy home and enjoy everything Melbourne has to offer. I love cooking, gardening, pets, caping, running, and building things... always up for an adventure. I'm respectful of personal space, but ultimately love sharing these experiences. So I'll probably bully you into letting me cook for you. I work full time as an engineer, so i'm out of the house from 8-6. I also travel interstate for work once a month, so I wont be taking up space for ~1 week out of the month. I'm LGBQTI friendly and open to all lifestyles, well travelled, and always up for a casual drink and banter. Shoot me a message if you think we might be a fit :) Alex
I decided to move from Canada in November of 2016 and have elected to spend my time in Australia in the city of Melbourne! I'm quite clean but not an absolute neat freak as I don't mind organized clutter in the right places, and I'm remarkably easy going and laid back. I'll definitely be a very social house mate and I'm always down for a vino or six after work. I currently manage MANIAX Melbourne and am going on a student visa November/December 2018. The plan is to finish school and get my PR, so I'm not going to be a flaky backpacker that leaves unexpectedly to chase an adventure. Before I left Canada I was a fitness instructor at a trampoline park, so I'm a bit of a health nut with a pasta problem, and before that I was an antiques consigner, so I love design and really old things. I'm extremely passionate about music, listening and recording, but my favourite pastimes are split between napping, working out and drunk baking. Beyond that I actually own my own house back in Canada (I'm currently renting it out) and I believe that that gives me a different perspective on renting with consideration to getting the rent in on time, as well as taking care of the place. Also, I make a mean batch of pancakes, I can supply the Canadian maple syrup, AND I have a Costco card. You cannot go wrong.
Hi i’m Libby, I'm a young motivated lady who works full time in Recruitment. I love a good movie and chocolate session. i am currently study interior design as a hobby. I love cooking and meeting new people. I love my sleep as well haha. I will be moving to Melbourne in early 2019. Hi everyone! I am looking for a single room in a flat or house to share with another lovely WOMAN. I am a 33 year old vegetarian woman and I like to spend my free time studying, on the internet or simply having nice conversations about any interesting subject. As a "young old lady" I rather live in a quite, non-party house and with no smokers. I totally respect who loves it, but I cannot cope with mess and dirty, so am looking for a clean and tidy space! 😆 If you think my profile fits your place, please send me a message. I think that`s all, thank you very much for your time!
