Heya, I'll be moving sometime in the new year, and with way the rental market is these days, I figured I'd start early and suss out if there's any interest in a team-up for someplace actually liveable. You know, instead of paying through the nose and having to squat out of a cardboard box... Me: a 32yo nurse, working the night shift these days, and am keen to start a home, not just a house. You: late 20s to early 30s, gainfully employed, the usual housemate stuff (pays bills, somewhat tidy, not an axe murderer, etc, etc). Ideally looking for two others for a house of three, but also open to 2-bedroom places. Hit me up if anyone else is in a similar spot. Looking at inner north and west suburbs primarily, but nothing definite yet, so if you have a particular area of Melbourne that tickles your fancy, I'm all ears!
Located in the beautiful and quiet tree line street just off Victoria St. You have Collingwood station and North Richmond Station just min walk away with restaurants, popular cafe and bars also mins walk away. It’s all about location
I won't be in Melbourne until January but checking out what's out there before going overseas over Christmas. I'm a considerate housemate who likes to live in a clean and positive environment. I love to socialise but also appreciate some good old 'me-time'. I'm moving to Melbourne to find connection with my creative side and will be working part-time, moving away from my very exciting career in accounting and towards something more fulfilling. Ideally I'll be looking for a furnished room around Yarraville / Footscray or the Brunswick area. I'm a new vegan and would love to live with others who share the same mentality. I also will be living away from my husband and dog and would love to live with kind, considerate people and/or pets :)
I am currently studying science at monash uni and working part time. In my spare time I love baking (huge sweet tooth) , wine n cheese and watching far too much tv.
Hey g'day everyone! My name's Matt, I'm 23 years old and I'm searching for some cool people to live with. Besides being bloody good at paying rent and bills on time, here's a little about me; I work as a salesperson during the week, normally find me at the gym week nights and enjoy getting out of the house on weekends. If the suns out, there's a good chance I'll be at the beach. I enjoy having a couple beers and a night out, but also like to kick back and relax watching a movie with everyone. I'm always down for a chat, but completely understand people's personal space. However I won't be the guy who stays in his room all day. I have a budget about $190pw and looking at areas around hawthorn, kew, glen iris, malvern, camberwell and surrounding. Ready to move early to mid December.
Very easy going & looking for a chill home environment. Working professional, do like quiet times but also like to socialise and looking for a place to call home. Tidy and responsible as I've housesat for many years caring for peoples homes and pets. Originally from Brisbane, now call Melbourne home
I'm a 29yo from Vancouver, Canada and have moved over to Australia! Looking forward to exploring Melbourne. I work in Human Resources/Recruiting and will be looking for a FT position when I move. I have a small cat named Marshmallow... you will hardly even know she is there as she keeps to herself. I like to be active, am social but appreciate my quiet time as well. Really like to cook, swim and yoga and try new things. Always up for an adventure!
I'm Will, I'm from the UK and before I came to Australia I was a furniture salesman. But like many people I was bored of my job and didn't want to spend this part of my life wasted in one place so I decided to pack up and start again. I'm looking for a place to stay in Melbourne as I'm really liking this city's wonderful weather, culture, variety of food and abundance of wifi. And hopefully make a few friends while I'm here =). I'm looking for a private room (with ideally a double/ queen size bed but it's not essential) as I do prefer a bit of personal sleeping space/ somewhere to relax by myself but will happily socialise with and spend time to get to know any future house/ flatmates and don't mind how many people are in the property (the more the merrier =D). I can move in (to the right place) as soon as you need. I think of myself as a pretty chill guy with an excellent sense of humour and a terrible attention span. I enjoy binge watching good TV, Netflix and Youtube videos (massive Game of Thrones fan of course XD), listening to good music, dank memes, socialising with friends i.e drinking, gaming (played a lot of League of Legends before I left... poorly I might add) and going out for meals, films etc. I used to do a lot of running and football and hopefully will get back into it soon, as my old job fattened me up a bit and I'm definitely in need of the exercise =P.
Hi I'm Katie! I'm an easy going gal working in Advertising. I love hanging out for a vino and good chats, and pretty into my fitness as well. Cooking is one of my strong points, I can do a mean arrabiata and pretty decent mexican. I've got vacuuming 101 under my belt and I'm pretty handy with a sponge. I come with limited things (mainly just a bed and clothes!) and can't wait to meet you!
Hello! we have just moved to Melbourne from sunny Brisbane. What were we thinking you might say... we are looking for a place to call home to enjoy the beautiful, albeit freezing city of melbourne. We are down here for work in professional fulltime jobs (Monday and Friday). We are looking for a furnished room so we can try put melbourne before more permanently calling it home. We have been together for 10 years, we love travel and have now lived in 4 Australian cities. We are responsible, independent and well house trained. We enjoy cinema, yoga, bush walking, music and gardening. When we're not at work our exploring or new city, we enjoy cooking a meal, having a wine and watching tv. We look forward to meeting new people, but respect housemates space and privacy and are more than happy to do our own thing. Have to move by January, but could move sooner for the right place.
I'm a 29 yo veterinarian and I've just recently moved back to Australia after travelling around the world for 2.5 years. I'm looking for a place to call home! I'm laid back and I am generally considered very clean and tidy. I have one very friendly 7 yo collie X called Deni who is predominantly an outdoor dog (good behaviour guaranteed by a vet!). My long list of hobbies include: photography, painting, sketching, yoga, krav maga, welding, woodworking, cooking and trying to learn Spanish. If you think we'd make amazing housemates or want to teamup, please get in touch!
Hi there, Looking for someone to fill the second bedroom in my two bedroom townhouse/apartment in Abbotsford. The house is on Trenerry Crescent, and is a convenient two minute walk to Dr Morse, Lulie Street Tavern, Admiral Chen Ho, Rita's (best pizza in Melbourne), and IGA (for late night snacks). For bigger, less expensive grocery shopping the Woolworths on Nicholson street is also walkable distance, as well as all goodies on Johnson, Smith and Gertrude Streets. Victoria Park (Abbotsford) train station, runs about every 6 minutes, is a convenient 2 minute walk from the house, and takes about 10 minutes into Flinders street. There is also a bus stop on the corner of Hoddle Street and Johnson Street, admittedly I don't know the specific routes, but there’s a couple that go into the city and various other places if that sounds like something you need... The house is well kept (see pictures) with a nice aspect from the living room area and balcony which overlooks Victoria Park. Depending on the time of the day, you can watch the footballers train or the puppies play. About the house... Two bedrooms (both double with built in robes), two bathrooms and fully furnished, except for your room, with modern appliances throughout. In short, you’ll have your own bedroom and bathroom which you’re free to make your own. Looking for someone to move in mid-late December. Rent is due on the 24th of each month and is $1150 excluding bills. The successful applicant will need to go on the lease, cover the bond $1560 as well as the lease transfer fee which is $220. If this looks/sounds like something you might be interested in, send me a message with a little bit about yourself and we can go from there! Will look to meet people in early December and get everything finalised shortly after that. Hopefully get to meet some of you soon! Sorry, no couples. And no dogs :(
My friend and I have just arrived back from travelling overseas and looking to move to around richmond/hawthorn/abbotsford. We are looking to move into a 3 or 4 bedroom house or apartment with one or two others and looking to move ASAP! We are both full time working professionals that are social but respect others privacy. Happy to pay $250 each a week
Currently studying and working and love being sociable with my flatmates but of course respect their alone time as I like a bit of it myself. I love cooking and have been deprived of a decent oven at my last residence and would love to be able to finally return to my full cooking potential. I absolutely love dogs, a Harry Potter nerd and the love beach as I grew up in a seaside town in Queensland. I'm a moderate gym goer but far from a junkie and love exploring quirky cafes. I like to keep a relatively clean house and like doing my dishes.
Hey Guys, Its pretty important to me I can set up shop with some rad fellas/gals and hopefully around the listed areas, but open to suggestions. Migrating from Brisbane 4+ years ago I am currently working as a PM/Estimator (Mon-Fri) while looking to further myself within the electrical industry and I consider myself to be a pretty chilled out guy and get along with everyone, big pet lover, Rugby fella with the addition of occasional sporadic furniture making. I come complete list of friday afternoon drinks and my complied best beer and burger combos in Melbourne (subjectively opinionated) Scored pretty well in my house training traineeship so you can expect all the good stuff of a quality housemate and I have lived in all girl houses previously so when you need something squashed, moved or someone to anwser the door my hand will go straight up. I'm always down for a hang or a cheeky pint and will often grab my camera and go on an adventure until I get lost But eventually find myself back home with a good story! I'd love to hear about you if you think I might be a good fit otherwise good luck with the hunt! :)
Hi! My name's Sam and I'm looking for a new place to call home. I’m a 29 year-old male working in tech support and studying physics at RMIT (not to be confused with psychics… I cannot tell the future, sorry in advance). I keep pretty busy during the week, but love to come home to hang out, share a meal (pumpkin pesto pasta is my specialty), have a few drinks, listen to some music or binge watch a TV series or two (currently obsessed with Stranger Things). I also apologise in advance for getting too emotionally invested in the footy. I’m really considerate and clean, especially of all the shared spaces in the house. I’ve lived in share houses before, so I’m pretty comfortable with all the unwritten rules of housemate life. Ideally, I’m looking at anything from $500-760 p/month. Location wise, inner city is good but mostly it’s about finding great housemates who can become great friends. If you’ve got a spare room, or know someone who does, get in touch. Cheers Sam
We are Slava and Olesia and we've been married for a 2 years. I am 33 and my wife is 30. I am software developer and my wife is accountant. We here to study English in order to improve our career success. We are easy going and always up for a good laugh, chats, beach days and the occasional night out. We both are tidy and clean persons. We'd love to find the nice place and good company for the next 3-4 months.
Hi there, I'm a pretty chilled guy who works a lot and is going for his second degree. I like keeping to myself and working on my music but I won't say no to beer and dinner. In general I'm really easy going. I can happily live among quiet people but I can also coop with noisy ones as well. Not great writing about myself so any extra info you need, drop me a line and I'll be happy to reply. Cheers, Raf
I am Danica (mid 30s) old VCA PhD student from Europe. I am kind of a weird mix of intro- and extrovert—like to hang out and to meet new people, but need frequent alone-time moments. Enjoy music, specially old school deep house and techno, and disco. Like to talk about food, to cook and share meal, and enjoy good spirits. Come with a Boston shaker and crepes pan. Probably the most important quality for flatmates is to be open-minded and considerate. I like to live in clean and tidy space (especially kitchen and bathroom), but I am far from being obsessive, so I don't expect others to be any different :)
Hey there! I'm Kate, 31. I work full time in media researching stories for a lifestyle show. I moved back to Melbourne earlier this year after 4 years living/working in Sydney and London so am looking to make friends and rediscover Melbourne. I'm definitely not a party animal but I would like to live with people who would enjoy a post work wine or heading to a nice pub every once in a while. In my spare time (god, this sounds like a dating ad..) I like reading, watching films, exercising, salsa dancing, karaoke (okay I actually haven't done karaoke for about 6 years but I like the idea) and learning new languages. I'm clean and respectful of communal areas and I'd really love to live with similar minded people. My dirty student share house days are behind me! Other than that I'm very laid back, never been into 'drama', just looking to meet some great new people!

Hey my name's Dom, I'm 26 and currently working full time in IT at a school in the CBD. I'm looking for a place to stay until May 2018 as I'll be heading off to Europe for 6 months! I'm a really easy going guy, like to keep tidy and organised without being a clean freak, respectful of personal space and easy to get along with. If you have a silly sense of humor we will become good friends, I'm a pretty good cook too! Most weekends I'm out and about going hiking, camping or filming during the day then socialising with mates at night. Week nights are pretty low key with the occasional beer after work. Looking for a place with easy public transport to the city & to live with someone who enjoys a drink and a laugh from time to time!
Hello! I've just moved to Melbourne on a working holiday visa. Left my job in construction project management in England to come out here and live the dream. I'm a very sociable person but also hard-working. I'm clean and respectful of others. Enjoy watching and playing various sports. Also a keen cook and don't mind mucking in when required. Looking to live with like-minded people.
