I am a vibrant vegan gal with a passion for music, art, culture and the environment :) I'm always cleaning/decorating and spreading the positive vibes through the house with my contagious energy and excitement :D very easy going, friendly with good quality conversation/ connection.
I'm pretty laid back but always up for a good time. Working full-time so tend to not be much of a partier during the week, but love a good night out on the weekends. I'm clean, respectful of other people and love trying to cook. Looking for flatmates I can be friends with and not just people I live with. Looking for a place with about 2-3 people. Flexible move in date
Hi hi, My name is Ash, I work full-time in the city, and am also a freelance graphic designer. Looking for a house for the long-term. I am very well house trained, appreciate a clean and tidy environment - love cooking and socialising but certainly appreciate chill time too. I come with two for the price of one - the second being my cat Willow. She is super placid, affectionate and just a overall big sook - and is wildly independent and low maintenance. Send me a message if you'd like to meet. Cheers, Ash
Hi there, my name is Paulina. I'm 24 yo Polish, arrived to Melbourne 2 months ago. As my sublet is coming to an end with the end Of January I'm looking for a private room. I'd like to stay in the northern suburbs but I'm not really fussy about that. The place should be only more or less convenient with walking distance to tram or train as I work in the cbd. I recently completed studies in Economics, but don't worry! I'm not that boring as it seems assuming by the degree above. I'm pretty laid back, sociable, happy to give you a chance to enjoy your own company. I love music and everything what is related to that. I'm also pretty decent cook, willing to contribute to keep the house tidy. I'm often out if not working but always keen to share a meal or grab a beer if such opportunity shows up. If it seems like we might get along well feel free to ask my any questions and possibly set a meeting. Thanks :)
Great location in Abbotsford with cafes close by and Abbotsford convent and the river precinct at the end of the street. Just a 5 minute walk to both Collingwood and Victoria Park train stations and close to Woolworths, Aldi and IGA. The house is a large 3 bedroom weatherboard property. We have 2 bathrooms and a huge kitchen/lounge area with french doors leading out on to a courtyard which gets all day sunshine. We have a bbq which we like to fire up in the summer time. The room available is a large 3.7 x 4.6 metre room and has a good size walk in wardrobe and comes fully furnished (bed, dresser, desk) If its space you want its space you'll get. We have a little gym room which consists of basic free weights, entertainment wise we have fetch TV, apple tv and unlimited internet, although we are not couch potatoes. Our regular antenna doesn't work so we don't get standard TV channels. As for special terms or rules we just don't want a piss head or party animal, at the same time don't want an anti social introvert. Someone who can have a laugh and hold a decent conversation will fit the bill. We expect that cleaning up after yourself is second nature, thats it really, pretty basic stuff.
Trenerry Crescent Abbotsford, Melbourne (8 min by train to CBD) The cost IS PER PERSON PER WEEK PLUS BILLS (approx $25/week each). Min TWO people. YOU CANNOT RENT THIS ROOM IF YOU ARE ONE PERSON (unless you want to pay double!) Sorry! Contract is initially 5+ months (negotiable) and can be extended. Rent paid 4 weekly in advance. $700 bond each. FROM EXPERIENCE I KNOW HOW HARD IT IS FOR FRIENDS TO FIND ACCOMMODATION TOGETHER SO I AM SAVING THIS ROOM FOR TWO FRIENDS WHO WANT TO LIVE TOGETHER or the right couple (the last couple pushed the beds together to make a massive bed). This private fairly large en-suite room with its own shower, toilet and sink also with a large walk in wardrobe is perfect for friends (working holiday or students) new to Melbourne who want to live together. Only half the room is show in the photo. Our modern, spacious three bedroom, two bathroom (separate bathroom and toilet) house has heating, a dishwasher, gas stove and oven, balcony and a patio outdoor area. There is dedicated designated secure undercover off street locked car park (and bicycle) parking space right behind the house. The room is twice as large as shown in the photo! In front of the house is the green playfield of Victoria Park, behind the Yarra river and the capital city trail⁄bike path and largest green space in Melbourne Studley park. The neighbourhood is safe, friendly and quiet. 5 min walk to Abbotsford Convent and the amazing famous lentils as anything pay what you feel donation restaurant! The housemates are currently me (Andy) an IT professional (but lots of fun!) and a mid 20s Aussie Professional. We are fun, social, laid back and who will keep the house fairly clean. The room is furnished with two good quality single beds, a chest of drawers, bed side tables. (Only half the room is shown in the photo). One complete set of bedding comes with each bed. We have WIFI, water gas and electricity :) Sharing whole large 3 story house with just 2 other people (one who is home only 1 or 2 days a week)! You have a whole floor to yourselves :) Due to design of house, room is very very cool in the summer :) Living on (officially!) the best street in Abbotsford: * 5 minutes walk from Victoria Park Train Station (which is on both the Hurstbridge and South Morang train lines before they split) so lots of services to and from the CBD which takes only 8 minutes - 24 HOUR SERVICE! * 3 minutes walk to Johnston Street with buses 200, 201, 205 and 207 * 6 minutes walk to Hoddle Street with buses 905, 906, 907 and 908 * 5 minutes by bus to the center of Fitzroy (or 20 min walk) * 5 minutes by bus to the center of Richmond (or a 20 min walk) * 5 minutes walk from Lentil As Anything at Abbotsford Convent * 5 minutes walk to Woolworths Express or Coles Express or IGA * 5 minutes cycle to large Woolworths, ALDI and a shopping center and the bars and shops of Victoria Street * On the Yarra river - quick and easy access to the countryside (seriously after a few minutes walk you can’t see any houses or buildings just greenery and the river) * Quick cycle to the CBD - it takes me 15 minutes in peak rush hour * Excellent jogging ⁄ bicycle access to the CBD along bike lanes and then by the Yarra river (or take the Capital City Trail bike path all the way!) If you would like to verify this listing and find out what is like to live here, I can provide the contact details of the last couple who lived in the house for 1 year (only moving out because they wanted to get a puppy). No need to go on the lease Due to number of responses from people who have not read the advert, I reserve the right to not reply if you haven't read it properly! Sorry!
Large fully furnished queen room in a large 3 floor 3 bedroom house (sharing with a lovely couple who live on their own floor with their own en-suite bathroom). Large shared bathroom for the two rooms - with a massive shower and bathtub. Both furnished with large queen bed, desk and chair, built in wardrobe, and armchair. Price is per person per room and does not include bills (gas, water, wifi, electricity) - although bills are cheap due to our choice of green environmental providers and half price electricity at weekends and evenings :) House has a secure covered parking space in Abbotsford and close to many buses on Johnston Street, Victoria Park station (two train lines 24 hours with trains every 10 minutes to the CBD taking 8 minutes) or a 13 minute cycle to the CBD. On the bank of the Yarra river, next to the amazing Abbotsford Convent and famous Lentils as Anything restaurant. Behind the house is the Yarra River and the massive green Yarra Bend / Studley Park. Sorry no couples. Sharing large 3 storey house with just 2 other people :) 4 week bond. Rent paid 4 weeks in advance. No need to go on the lease
Hey guys, I'm Ty, a 39 year old Australian male who is looking for a share house and new friends to live with for 6 months –1 year in Melbourne. I'm clean, housebroken, and know how to do the dishes. I can pull my weight with household chores and am also quite handy. I am an IT Professional from Bendigo who recently left full time long term employment to relocate to the big smoke, looking for a new job and a change of lifestyle, and I'd also like to get out and about and enjoy everything this city has to offer. I enjoy getting out into nature when I can; camping, off-roading, kayaking, and cruising on my motorbike. I am quiet and a bit geeky, but get along with practically everyone.
LEASE TAKEOVER A beautiful 1 bedroom appartment in Abbotsford, right next to the Yarra river. Beautiful walking tracks, close to cafes and Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre. Roof top Cinema, BBQ area, lap pool, sauna, and access to two gyms!! 10 months left on lease with an oppertunity for renewal
Hey flatmate world, I'm 23yo female looking for a new place to live in Feb 2017. I work full time during the week but I'm definitely up for getting together with my housemates for a social drink or bite to eat whenever possible. I love going for brunch, playing different sports and watching trashy telly with others in my spare time. I have lived in share houses before so know how to pull my weight with the cleaning duties! If needed I also have all the furniture needed to furnish a new house so if yours is missing anything, there's a high chance I'll have it. This is also perfect for anyone wanting to team up. If you want to know anything else about me feel free to message!
I'm a 32 year old professional who works full time in Richmond. I mostly just play online games in my spare time, but I also enjoy the occasional social drink. I'm only looking for a 6-8 week stay, this is to assist me to stay close to work whilst searching for a home for myself and my cats. I'm not bringing the cats with me though, don't worry! Preference is a furnished room for this reason though, as it will only be a short stay. Let me know if you have a room available that suits.
Hey i'm a non-judgy, geeky chill gamer (mainly dota) who works consistent casual hours in the cbd in a position i've had for several years. I'm relaxedly looking to move back into Admin work, but fine to keep going in my current job too. Either way, I have savings, so wont be short for rent. I cook healthy, do my part, respect privacy, know how to house-share, and keep messes to my own room. I'm not religious, but tolerant and respectful of others views. I've been living with a pack of 20-25yo dudes for the last 3 years, and with a lovely 27yo vietnamese homeowner girl for a few years before that. I get along with all sorts. I don't smoke (don't mind at all if you're a 420 fan), rarely drink lots. I'm not overly princessy and am flexi with kitchen/bathroom use times. I frequently spend time quietly in my own space; gaming, drawing digitally, reading, but am happily sociable and easy to lure out for a cuppa or a beer. I occasionally like to get crafty, and adore making geeky costumes now and then - love halloween, PAX or other occasion to dress up (as you'll see on insta). I'd like laid back housemates with integrity, independent but friendly, in a comfortable, secure household. I don't need a large room, though reliable Internet is a must! Commute wise: Ideally within 30mins to the cbd via train/tram. Geeks would be cool? <3 Non geeks are fine too! Housemate/s okay with me having my boyfriend sometimes hang out/stayover would be fantastic, as he lives over an hour away~ we are very conscious of not overwhelming shared quarters. Honestly your gender, age, ethnicity, sexual preferences etc. are not an issue to me. But please don't have a carpet of human hair, scary exposed wires near the sink or casual homeless squatters like that one apartment that one time.. lol Check my social media verifications below, (sorry im a bit of a goof on twitter.. hah)
Come back from a 3 month holiday in February - Originally lived in St Kilda East and loved it there so Looking preferably round inner eastern suburbs. Not one to cook up a storm, so don't expect a masterchef, but am a pretty tidy person and like to think I could bring that to the table. I don't bring a party home, but do love having a few beers and judging reality tv stars on tv. Will be continuing my uni degree of Urban Development and working 30+hrs a week.
I'm clean and tidy, work hard during the week, don't mind a few drinks on the weekend but not really a party animal. I like to cook the occasional meal together and have a laugh every now and again. I'm a busy man with my own circle so I appreciate space and privacy. Im all about working at my dreams and goals. Very easy going, kind hearted, respectful down to earth kind of guy that loves to laugh and smile and get the most out of life.
I'm Kelly, I'm looking for a place that's close to public transport as I have Multiple Sclerosis (this explains "retired"). I pay my bills on time and clean and respectful of others. I can also come with a large fridge and/or front loader washer if it's needed. I'm a qualified hairdresser, love gardening and indoor plants, crafts, comics, gaming, and make a great granola. I love going to gigs but marathoning a series is not something I'm inexperienced in. Give me a bell if you are interested in me being your new housie, or want some more information.
Ey Just a regular guy ideally looking for a place on the northside. I'm pretty chilled and get along with people well. I'm very respectful and expect the same from anyone. I'm also clean to live with too! Don't hesitate to message me, I'm also fine to swap digits if that's easier as well. Cheers!

Hi potential housies, I'm looking at joining a social sharehouse around the Collingwood/Fitzroy area. I'm missing a backyard, as I love spending time outdoors, so would prefer that or a decent balcony. Off street parking would be a win but not a deal breaker. I've lived in sharehouses for a while now both in Perth (worked there for a couple years) and Melbourne. I'm sociable, clean and easy going and looking for housemates that are similar in that regard. I'm not looking to join a party house, but more than happy to share a chat, food or a drink or two. I love the outdoors and like to stay active - cycling mainly, but keen to get back into my fencing and get into climbing/bouldering. I also like exploring the local area - cafes, bars and restaurants. If you reckon I sound like a potential housemate please let me know. Cheers Yen-Sen
What makes me great to live with? I'm the typical clean, tidy person, friendly but will give space. Plus, I work at a wine cellar so there will always be nice wine for the bad and the good days. I will be honest, I sing..badly in the shower so beware, it's not all sunshine and lollipops.
Hi my name is Ash, I am in my mid 20s and I am tidy and easygoing. I am going to massage college during the week and work night shift all weekend and sometimes week nights. I've been told I'm super easy to live with and have been referred to as a friendly ghost who pays rent and bills on time and surfaces occasionally with funny stories, good chats and a glass of wine. I don't often have people over as I am always at work or school but don't mind if others entertain and will be as social as I can when I am about.
Hey! My name is Hayley, and I'm looking for a roommate to find a sweet apartment with! I have a full time job so I'm quiet respectful on weeknights and on the weekends I love to have wine/beer nights in the house or go party all weekend! I'm down for a girl or a guy roommate, I'm very down to earth and up for whatever!
My name is Nicole and I work full-time in Digital Content in Fashion. I moved to Melbourne from Brisbane after graduating from uni a year ago. I have fallen in love with the northside having lived in Northcote for the past year and would like to find another place in the area. I'm a super social person but working full-time I keep normal hours on weeknights, going out to the occasional dinner with friends and the movies. But on the weekend I like to go out a bit, I love music so I see a lot of gigs and go to the occasional festival (Meredith/GP that kinda thing), have a bit of a boogie, socialise with friends, hit the Fitzroy markets and the Fitzroy pool on a hot summer's day. I love to cook and during the week I'd be happy to share a few meals. I especially like baking so expect lots of treats if we live together. If you're looking for someone fun, tidy, outgoing and house-trained I'm your gal!
I'm Joanne from Malaysia and have been travelling extensively the past four years all over Europe, SEA, Australia and New Zealand. I LOVE rock climbing, surfing, cooking (and eating) lots of yummy food, and have recently started doing aerial yoga which is amazing. I like being outside - I occasionally work as an outdoor instructor and bring kids out hiking, camping, climbing, kayaking and heaps of other fun things. Most of my time is spent being active outside, or just devouring books on a lazy day. I enjoy checking out music and art festivals and am currently enrolled to study Early Childhood Education so I'd be working with kids a lot. My biggest pet peeve is messy places, so I like to keep things tidy =) Dan is an engineer but not your usual engineer. He loves exploring and creating things - most of what he's done are art installations and he's ran a workshop on making musical pom-poms (for the lack of a better word)! He currently works full time but spends most of his time either brainstorming ideas for his new art project, rock climbing, and sailing. And oh, he makes great food and has amazing music tastes too. Great conversationalist!
Chilled and respectful type of guy. From Darwin originally, studied Physiotherapy in Adelaide and moved to Melbourne to pursue a career in dentistry. Currently working full time. Have a partner who I will spend a lot of time with at their place. Like to keep fit and healthy. Clean and fun and looking for others who are easy to live with and not too uptight :)
Hey! Unfortunately our current flatmates are moving out - so we are on the hunt for a new addition/s to the house! We are looking for a like-minded individual or couple who are social and willing add to our home, but are also chilled out - someone doesn't just consider it another "flat". The house itself has recently been renovated with a new kitchen, bathroom, and laundry, new tiles and carpet throughout. Your new bedroom is lovely and large, but does not have any built in storage. It's a 5 minute walk to Victoria Park Station, 8 minutes to Collingwood, and Victoria Street, The Convent, Rita's, Dr. Morse all just around the corner. The room is available to rent from the 17th of Feb, but we can be flexible. $285/week for a couple, $230/week for a single. Sorry, no pets or smokers. If you're keen on having a look please get in touch!
Hi there! Melbourne born with an Armenian background. Easy going, normal kind of guy. Weekdays 9-5 work, get up early some mornings and go for a run and some nights boxing after work. I try to keep things more low key during the week but like the odd night out. Weekends I like to be out and about. Socialising, eating out, travelling, footy and music. I am a clean guy but not the clean freak type! I act younger than I am and mum says I need to grow up haha
I'm a 31yo guy and I'm looking at moving from the southside to anywhere between Richmond and Fitzroy. I'm looking to spend $200 - $250 depending on the quality of the place. I'm also happy to be flexible with the dates slightly. I'm pretty quiet during the week but happy to have a chat and a meal. I usually venture out on the weekend but can also enjoy a quiet weekend. I'm pretty sociable and ideally the housemates would be the same. If you want to know more then feel free to drop me an email or I'm happy to come and have a chat. Cheers, Dean
Hi! my dog archie and i are seeking short term accommodation in a fully furnished room. He is well trained and quiet and i wok mon-thurs in the cbd. i rented my own room out as i was due to be away until 30th March, and now have no where to stay!
Studying games programming at Swinburne Hawthorn. Interests include coffee, C#, semi-ironic Aussie rock from the 80s/90s and coffee. Worked full-time in software last year, now I'm back on the uni grind for one last year. With all that out of the way - why would you want to live with me? Excellent question. * I'm a pretty decent cook. If you like vego food, I make a fantastic lentil bolognese. * While I'm no neat freak, I always make an effort to keep things clean and in order. * I've got plenty saved up and I'll be working part-time, so you know I'll always pay rent on time. * I'm pretty chill and low-key, so if you're the quiet type I'm sure we'll get along just fine.
We're both recent graduates from the UK looking to move into one of the central suburbs of Melbourne. We'd love to have housemates we could chill out and enjoy a drink with in the evenings but will mostly be out either working or exploring the city during the days so we won't take up too much space. We're both well house trained and have a Netflix account to sweeten the deal.

I have a large bedroom available for one person (no couples) at $230/week (bills are an extra $25/week). The bedroom (3.0 meters by 3.6 meters) is fully furnished and includes large built-in robes, a queen bed, mattress and linen, a large table and office chair. The room is part of a large new townhouse which is beautifully furnished with everything you could need (luxuries include a coffee machine, filtered water dispenser, an ice-machine). The townhouse has a large outdoor balcony on the first floor which overlooks a quiet street. There is also plenty of on-street parking available nearby. The location of the townhouse is just perfect for an inner-city living lifestyle. It is just 2km from the city center and just a few minutes walk to all forms of public transport (trams, trains and buses). The townhouse is right next to the famous 3 Bags Full cafe, the Hive Shopping Center (which has both a Woolworths and ALDI supermarket) and the main road (Victoria St) which has numerous restaurants, pubs, Asian groceries and retail stores. I am looking for a quiet, clean and considerate housemate that will get along with the existing residents. Please contact me if you are interested in the room and would like to find out more about the people staying there.
