Hey ladies!
I'm Monique — back in Australia after living overseas and currently navigating what feels like a midlife crisis (cue dramatic sigh). I’m on the hunt for a new place to call home, ideally shared with another women. Sorry fellas, this one's not for you.
A little about me: My friends would describe me as chill, sarcastic, a walking contradiction of resting bitch face and warm vibes. I'm the kind of person who’s somehow always late, yet still arrives exactly on time. I’m super independent — though if life allowed, I’d happily be a WAG sipping lattes after Pilates. One can only dream.
I’m currently job hunting full-time (my background is in aviation, but I’m exploring new horizons). I’ve had multiple interviews recently and should be securing a full-time role in events soon — fingers crossed! In the meantime, I’m working club shifts in the city 3–4 nights a week (Wed–Sun, usually between 8pm–5am), which means I sleep in and won’t be a kitchen-hogger in the mornings.
I'm looking for a calm, respectful home base — somewhere to unwind, not party central. That said, I’m totally fine with the occasional gathering, as long as we communicate ahead of time. Cleanliness, communication, and personal space are really important to me.
I’d love a home where we can vibe together from time to time — maybe a cheeky Netflix night, or self-care evenings that involve way too much takeaway followed by a guilt-driven Pilates class the next day.
I always clean up after myself, keep shared spaces tidy, and I’m open to a cleaning schedule or even splitting a cleaner if that suits the vibe.
Also — if you haven’t found a place yet, I’d be open to teaming up and applying together! I’ve come across some gorgeous 2-bed, 2-bath apartments in Ivanhoe that come with access to a full spa, sauna/steam room, cinema room, and gym. Rent ranges from $550–$700 a week — let me know if that sounds like your vibe too!
