I moved to Melbourne from Adelaide over a year ago, and have felt at home in this city every day since. Currently I study full-time in the CBD, and work in retail a few days a week. That may sound like I'm not around a lot, but I enjoy time at home, too. Balance is key: love the outdoors, getting artsy, and going for a good boogie. I'm a social gal for sure, but foremost I respect people in their spaces. Although I'm 20, I have spent the last few years independent. I know what it takes to be considerate of others and responsible for myself, and I'm always willing to discuss household logistics. I have specified that I'm looking to stay for 1 year or more, however I'm happy with 6-9 months if a superb opportunity calls for it.
Hi there! My name is Jac. I'm 23, hailing from Sydney originally. I am a musician and enjoy various creative outlets. I am looking to move in April. I currently study music full time at VCA. my other hobbies include (apart from music) gardening, reading, going to the movies, spending time with my partner, seeing friends, going to gigs, crafting, painting etc. I wish to live in Footscray as I enjoy the area a lot and my partner lives there also. I enjoy socialising with who I live with but I also like my own time and space, and am respectful of other's space also. I am a clean person and I have no trouble contributing to household cleaning/maintenance. If you would like to ask me any other questions please do so :) have a lovely day xx
Hey, i'm a 19 year-old post-graduate student from germany studying at unimelb. I'm in Melbourne as an exchange student and need a room for about 6 month. I consider myself to be a quite calm and laidback person. Not a party person but always available for a chat, hanging out or cooking and sharing a nice meal. I would say that i'm open minded and i am always happy to try something new. As a student i'd spent a lot of my time on campus so that it would be fairly easy for me to respect your privacy and keep things to myself if needed. Im tidy and clean and a little obsessed with keeping my room orderly. Love to do sports - did table tennis for 10 years and climbing- and am now looking for something new. Ideally my flatmates would be students at my age but i dont really mind if they arent.
Hi im a clean and tidy person with a good personality, I respect others privacy and personal space. Im always busy with work as a full time nurse and im usually out. I have 1 small dog thats stays with me thats toilet trained and friendly.
I am 30 yo American relocating to Melbourne for work and am looking for a furnished room to rent. I am very easy going and enjoy reading, movies, and watching and/or participating in just about any sporting event. I love baking desserts and other sweets. I describe myself as an extroverted introvert. I enjoy being social and having a beer or two but also really enjoy a quiet night in.
Hello, Everyone :) I'm Max (21) I'm from the UK, down south. I've been living in Melbourne and travelling Asia on and off since 2014. I've recently come back from a few months travel in Nepal and am looking for a either a shared or private room. I'm currently working in the CBD. Preferably in the CBD or 15min train ride away as the ideal. I frequently get told i'm the "easiest going guy in the world". My main passions and interests are travel, keeping fit, and going out for a drink or two and of course enjoying Melbourne life. I'm vegetarian but not fussy about sharing the dinner table with carnivores. I enjoy meeting new people and learning from others and most importantly leading a drama free life, so looking for like minded people. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
A pair of easy-going yet fun young females looking for either available rooms in existing flats, or team ups with others. Both kiwis, we love to get out and party but at the same time enjoy to chill out and relax. Working full time so not after a party house but definitely something social as we are new to Melbourne. Excellent cooks with great banter - perfect house mates!
Hi my name is Ebony. I am a professional who works in the Marketing and Communications industry. Tidy and respectful, I enjoy having a drink and a chat but also enjoy my own time. I have a Maltese Shitzu named Baxter who loves people and walks.
Hospitality worker/ Musician. Respectful, clean, loves to cook, loves to socialise and have a quiet time. Super friendly... From Morocco but PR in Australia.
Hi, I've just moved and am getting myself settled into Melbourne really. 30 yo, looking at returning to Uni. I fiddle with a guitar from time to time, and cook hearty Cajun meals. I like making home videos and recordings, and play Ice hockey and tennis when I can. I'm generally pretty quiet, but enjoy socializing. Drop me a line! Thanks, Ben
LOOKING TO MOVE IN ASAP! I'm a 24 year old guy working full time in retail. Very easy to get along with, clean and respectful of others. Just looking for a place west of the city to call home :)
My name is Ben Gunn and I am a 22 y/o recent graduate from the University of Canterbury in NZ. I'm moving to Melbourne on March 8 for a change of scenery, work and to meet new people. I have been flatting for the past 4 years while at uni so I know how to keep a place spotless, respect other peoples boundaries, while also having a good time! I love sports (rugby, cricket, basketball etc) and play a bit of cricket and basketball when possible. I do a bit of gaming on ps4, but don't spend countless hours on it! I enjoy a beer or six every now and then, and always like exploring new places. I am also into learning about the world around me, as I think it is important in today's day and age to have an open mind! You will have to excuse my facebook link, I was using my girlfriends computer and it linked her profile, not mine sorry!
From what i've heard, i'm apparently a warm, good natured bloke who loves nothing more than a good yarn and laugh. I'd describe myself as a classic text book introvert; Not much of a party animal, would happily say come down for a good gander but prefer my own company etc... Ideally, I'd like to live within an environment that was relatively quiet, drug free and has a good respect of boundaries.
A large open terrace to enjoy the afternoon sun. The apartment is on the top floor of a secure building. *Females only* *single occupancy* So much food to taste! 8 bit burgers, rudimentary cafe, cheap Asian eats, African cuisine, Indian cuisine, French cuisine, and fresh fruit and vegetable market are all within walking distance. Close to train, tram and buses. Closest shopping centre is Highpoint. 7 min drive Closest beach is Williamstown. 20 min drive.
HI there! My name is Lucy and I just recently moved down to Melbourne to pursue postgraduate studies in Humanitarian Assistance. My passion lies in human rights and English literature. I'm a quiet but very friendly person. I will get along with anyone as long as everyone is treated respectfully and cleanliness is maintained.
Heyhey 🙂 I previously lived in Melbourne for a year and am now moving back on the 8th of march to study here after about a year and a half of traveling. I'm swedish, almost 22 and I'll be working in hospitality(barista) as well as studying. On my free time I play guitar, sketch and paint, make crystal pendants and a bunch of good stuff. I like to laugh and I also make jokes sometimes. I'm a very social person and am also used to living with other people, meaning I love a good chat and bev but also respect other peoples space and will of course be respectful of shared living areas. I enjoy going out for drinks and a boogie but can also spend a full night watching stupid shows in bed. I'm pet free, neat and will be staying in Melbourne for at least two years. I'm looking for a place to call home, meaning I'd love to live with like minded people who don't mind hanging out now and then. Please feel free to shoot me a message if I sound like a person you'd like to live with. ✌
Self employed girl geak engineer and electronic music lover. I am looking for a new home with people who have a life outside of the house but also like to chill and share a wine and chat from time to time. I don't smoke but I don't mind if you do, not fussed on what others eat or sexuality as its all relative, each to their own. Mutual respect is where it's at. Flexible with move dates, ideally mid to late March. If you have a garden, that would be awesome. Again, not a deal breaker though. I love animals but don't have any. It would be cool to live with someone who has a dog, happy to help out walking it sometimes even. 6 months minimum is preferred because it's a bit of a mission changing homes. :)
Hey I'm Dan, 22, full time employed in financial services, laid back, gay, pretty extraverted. I'm relatively new to Melbourne and looking to move near the CBD. Would love to find one or more cool housmates. I like Great food, beer, wine & whisky and I'm told I'm excellent company to binge watch nextflix and drink cheap wine with. If your a fan of Doctor Who, Game of Thrones or South Park that's already a great start. I'm pretty chilled out, like to keep a clean place. I don't have any gender or cultural preferences on who I live with, as long as your friendly and good company I'm we will get along great. Also somewhere with a car park would be great.
Hello flatmates! We are are in a brand new riverside apartment building just 10-15min from the city by train and a short 7-10min walk to the Footscray station. There is a Coles and Kmart within a 15min walk from the apartment along with the Footscray markets and lots of little shops. If that wasn't enough the apartment building comes with gym and pool. We are in a 3 bedroom flat with an open floor plan and balcony overlooking Footscray. We want to find someone to add to the 12 month least that has just commenced as of Friday the 25th of February. That being said, we have just moved in ourselves and are still the the process of moving and setting everything up but are eager to add a 3rd person to our home! The room is a decent size, enough to fit a double bed and wardrobe and comes unfurnished. There is no window but there is a frosted glass door in the room allowing plenty of light in. Because the flat comes with 2 full bathrooms, we are offering the room along with one entire bathroom for the new flatmate. The flat also has a washing machine, dishwasher, and 2 indoor parking spots (both of which will not be used as neither of us have cars so they are free to you).

One master bedroom available in a beautiful townhouse in Footscray. 7 minute walk to Footscray station which takes you straight into the city within 10 minutes, 30 second walk to Nandos around the corner (eating here as we speak, highly recommend their chicken burger it is the bomb.com), 1 minute walk to 8bit (dangerous, i know), 2 minute walk from Kmart and Coles and Highpoint Shopping Centre is a 15 minute tram ride basically out the front. Surrounded by amazing food and cafe's and Anytime Fitness is a 2 minute walk away. The room you'll be taking is large with built in wardrobes and a bathroom shared with one other person on the third level. It comes furnished with a queen sized bed and mattress as well as a chest of drawers and it also has a view of the courtyard. from you!
From Edinburgh, Scotland. Working within events, and also the health and fitness industry. Working full-time, so not looking for a party house, but love a social atmosphere where I can come back from work and have a good chat and maybe a drink or two with housemates. A keen yogi, love going hiking and camping and just generally being outside. Very chilled and laid back, not into drama. Keep everything tidy and clean in general, and have always shared cleaning duties around previous share houses. Please send me a message if you have a vacancy in a house that you think I would be a good addition to.
Hi! I am moving out of this room into my own place around mid march and so, this ad is for a private room in a 3 bed 1 bath (and 2 toilets) house sharing with 2 other girls. Excellent location - 5 minutes to West Footscray station. bus stop 2 minutes from the door, near cafes and restaurants on Barkly St. Spacious house with lots of natural light. Room is 3.4 x 2.5m, can fit a double bed and a desk ( and has a massive closet) 5 minute walk to Western Health Footscray hospital and 10 minute drive to Highpoint Shopping centre and 10 min walk to vic uni. Living w two cool girls, Zahrah and Tash (doctors ... so you know...free meds) who are quite laid back It's best to clarify the costs and duties here to avoid awkward conversations later. ;) Happy for the new housemate to move in at any time (as long as its before March 20th!) ***Pay rent monthly on time - Rent as specified includes internet (unlimited use) - Electricity and water bills are quite negligible(compared to the rent) considering everyone in the house works 5-6 days a week. ***Cleaning common areas on weekends - we take turns. So it'd be once every three weeks. ***Clean kitchen after use (to a reasonable degree) - No overnight dishes in the sink. ***If the garbage is full - empty it :P ***No loud/late night partying inside the house. Get togethers are awesome though. ***No smoking, no drugs. No pets (unfortunately). Parking on the streets is free. There is a 2P limit but we all park there and no one checks. There are untimed parking bays around as well - not an issue. There is a secure car park where we park our car if we aren't going to use it for the day :) We can also get parking permits if needed.
Mini-Mansion! Rent includes ALL bills (yes, the wifi Internet IS included) and household supplies (dishwashing liquid, etc. etc.) and is for a couple. We have a house manager to help you, and we have a cleaner who comes weekly to take care of the house too. 5 min walk to Footscray Train Station (10 min to the CBD by train) 1 min walk to Bus Stop (25 min to the CBD via Queen Victoria Market) 10 minute walk to shops 10 or 20 min walk to Victoria Uni depending on campus. Opposite a small park & Maribyrnong River & lovely bike paths On the same street as the Community Arts Center and Café CHEAP fruits & veggies at the local markets Great coffee nearby. Lots of fun shops There is a large artistic community and it’s an interesting and stimulating place!
