My name is Dinuk, I am 22 years old and I am from Melbourne, where I've lived my whole life up until now. I am to start my course in physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle as of February 26th. I am someone who is friendly and sociable but also someone who respects personal space and boundaries. I have previously lived in a shared accommodation in Melbourne so i know what it's like living with others in regards to hygiene and cleanliness. I can also be quiet diligent with studying so you may see notice that I might study till late. I very much love to cook, and would be happy to have cook ups or just spend time with others. I also like watching tv shows, reading, and going for walks and spending time with friends. I am also easy going and very approachable. I hope you may take this all into consideration, thanks.
Large open planned newly renovated home. 2 large living spaces, great for entertaining. Open planned kitchen that extends to back deck. Good sized backyard. Air-conditioning, ceiling fans and fireplace with firewood on property. Bedroom one has double built in wardrobe; bedroom two has built in wardrobe; bedroom three has separate cupboard. Close to university, hospitals, local shops, public transport including bus stop and train station. 10 minute drive to local Newcastle beaches.
Both easy going and social. Study full-time and work casually. Love the beach, going for coffee and don't mind a night out. Also couldn't figure out how to upload a photo of us without it zooming in on one of our heads haha
Hello! I am Marissa, or Missa for short. I currently study at Callaghan and I'm a car-loving gamer and book freak. I'm a clean freak and an introvert so no wild parties from me, but I don't mind to join in with others at times. I don't really drink much but I'm happy to have a glass at times and I like to have one or two friends visit. I study a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design, second year, and I love studying languages (currently in Japanese but also want to study Korean, too). My ideal locations are anywhere within a walk or bus ride from Callaghan campus excluding Jesmond. I prefer to keep costs to a minimum so my absolute maximum is $190/week including bills for the perfect place. If I had to say three main criteria for my perfect place it'd be safety, avoiding Jesmond and off street parking is a must (my car is my baby). Overall, I'm clean and quiet usually, and I both like to hang out with housemates as well as time out to myself. I think I'm fairly easygoing. :) - Marissa
Quiet person non smoker, currently doing an internship in social media marketing. Love animals. Not much of a socialite but wouldn't mind sharing accommodation with a few nice people, good with computers and a little artsy when the itch strikes. Spend a majority of my free time online, mostly gaming, so good internet is a must personally and professionally. Enjoy FFXIV, Overwatch, Dip into WoW on occasion ( Both factions c: ) pubg, little bit of csgo. Great things we could enjoy/get mad at together as roomies, would love to meet someone irl with some shared interests in these. Don't own a car to hog your driveway space and clean up after myself. Don't mind if you're loud (had a roommate that practiced drums every week) or smoker of any kind. Looking to live anywhere in the Newcastle area and suburbs close to bus lines. Prefer bills included in rent, but fine if they aren't. I've got a flawless rental history (3 years) and never been behind on payment, can provide references on request.
Bubbly, Explorer, Honest (written by my friends). Short info: Sensible and considerate. Believer of healthy, non-passive aggressive communication. *Laying it out early to facilitate mutual understanding 🙈: I dislike cluttered/dirty shared environment with items often misplaced (e.g., kitchen, living area). I’m sure we all want to live in a liveable home with considerate members. I don’t mind performing occasional acts of service, but unless the relationship greatly makes up for that, I’d honestly be disappointed and upset if I have to repeatedly clean up after someone. Detailed info: I'm a smiley introvert—albeit an energetic one—who grew up in a small island (country) called Singapore. I'm pretty 'flexible' in the sense where I have a huge range of interests. I love cozying up on the couch or a café with a good book; I'm really outdoorsy at the same time— I love taking walks and I do boxing. I spread my time between outdoor activities, fitness, culinary and my bachelor degree (psych; UoN, honours year). I have high empathy level (ps. I know how to read the atmosphere ;)), and I'm absolutely passionate about spreading love, smiles and joy. I love being the tiny ball of concentrated sunshine amongst my friends even though I'm an introvert and that means my battery does go flat sometimes. But it fills up my heart knowing that I've made someone feel more pleasant— even if it's just for a second! It's all worth it. You may have realized by now after reading all that I've typed that I'm an open book 😊 Hit me up if you think that you’d be happy (not just ‘okay’) living with me!
Hey guys! I’m a 21 year old nanny from the United States as well as an international student at the UON. I lived on campus last semester but am looking for somewhere with a bit more space that is perhaps a bit tidier (lol), but still hope to be around other people my age. I stay pretty busy between my work and studying, but still enjoy being social and going to the beach or enjoying a night out when I can. I am super respectful of shared space and other people’s belongings, and always make sure to clean up after myself. I’m really hoping to find somewhere that is a positive, warm and fun environment, and where everyone is respectful towards each other/ to the space.
Hi, my name is Tom and I'm about to start my final year studying radiation therapy. I'm originally from the central west but I've called Newcastle home for 4 years now. I'm clean, friendly and have always payed my rent and bills on time. I like to keep active, play guitar (during reasonable hours) and sometimes go on outdoor adventures.
I have a medium double bedroom in a morden big house for rent, surrounded by well-cared beautiful garden. It has very big common areas and very nice and big bathrooms. The house have four bedrooms and you will share the house with other four people (one of them just stay in at the weekends). It is very clean house and locates in very nice area, 8 min walking to Waratah Shopping Center and Waratah Park and 3 min walking to bus stop. There is a heap of running/walking paths around... The room is available now, $180 for a single and $210 for a couple incl all bills. Please contact Hanna for further information
Great central location on many bus routes into city and university; just a few minutes walk to Waratah Shopping Village with Kmart, Coles and specialty stores. Each bedroom has a bed, desk and built in wardrobe, and your own key. The house is fully furnished and the kitchen has all the basics.
This is a perfect location: bus stop out the front, train station around the corner, Waratah Shopping Centre just a few minutes walk. Convenient for university, Mater Hospital and CBD. Suitable for workers or students. The room available is large, with queen bed, quite suitable for a couple. ($50 extra for second person).
G'day guys. Im turning 20 and looking to move down to Newcastle from Taree to start studying at university while also working part time. I currently live with my father who is a chef so he's not very often in the house leaving me to fend for myself. This has left me a very easy person to live with as I'm clean, enjoy my time to myself but also love being sociable with my housemates. I regularly housesit with my best friend so I've gotten the gist of living out of home and what it includes AKA doing your own washing, cleaning etc. I would love a housemate/housemates that enjoy personal space but also love to socialise with the house and enjoy a laugh or a movie. My life has had a strong part in sport as well so i could be travelling home to play so I could be away some weekends not only to play sport but to visit my family.
Hi, we are two friends looking for a third person to make up a three bedroom house. I am a Newcastle local who works full time and Demi is moving from North Qld to study med at UON. We would like a friendly and tidy person who has also lived in share housing before. If you like movies/tv, the gym, the beach, music, video games and the occasional night out we will get along just fine. Looking to move early to mid Feb.
Hey! I'm a chill and clean housemate who is a full time engineer in Newy. If I'm not at work, it's the gym, sport or shopping for food. Typically weekends I'm outdoors. Keen to find friendly housemates who like to chat and keep the house in good nick.
I'm easy going, tidy and always pay rent on time. I have a 5 year old golden retriever who is very well trained and very lazy. I have a whole house worth of furniture which can be used or put in storage. I'm in the RAAF and work at Williamtown. I travel to Brisbane about once a month so I need someone who loves dogs to be able to feed him when I'm gone.
Hello! My name is Claudia and I am a 24 year old Speech Pathologist currently living in Newcastle. I am looking for an unfurnished room in a share-house. I am a pretty social person, but also like my own down time to relax. I am really looking forward to meeting new people and hopefully becoming friends with the people I live with!
My name is Brendan I'm 24. I'm studying Medical Diagnostic Radiography. I'm a chilled guy, I like to be clean and organised. Love a good surf. Not keen on a party house, I'm over the getting drunk every weekend thing, all though I do enjoy going out and having a drink, being social and having good people around! Just looking for a nice place with with good people.
Hey, I'm Rachel! I'm a full time uni student and I also work part-time at Genesis Fitness. I enjoy being active or just being outdoors in general but of course I don’t pass up quiet days in! Not much of a drinker nor do I party much so I can be quite the nanny :’). But nonetheless, I’d like to meet some likeminded people and hopefully become great friends/roommates :) I’ll be overseas from the end of January to the 23rd of Feb so looking to try and move ASAP when I get back!
Looking for a third housemate to join us in a neat little house in Waratah as our current third is leaving. So if you or someone you know is looking for a groovy little pad in easy cycling distance to the uni and with good access to public transport, look no further. Rent is $160 a week not including utilities. Not a party house, but still a fun house. House itself is clean and tidy and in great condition. Large living areas, generous bedrooms, quiet street, parking, veg patch, and choice wallpaper you’ll love. You will need to be approved by the real estate and will be on the lease.
From Newcastle looking to move oult hopefully with like minded girls a similar age to me. I'd like to live with people who can socialise not just brush shoulders in the hallway. I have a little dog named Theo who's cute as, I'm hoping that he can come too but we do have family friends he can go too not. I work full time in childcare, I am really easy going, down to earth, friendly and happy to socialise, I don't mind spending my weekends out but I wouldn't turn down a quiet drink at home on the occasion either. I'm respectful of others and am mindful of personal space ☺️ I'm independent and keen to go move out!
