Details about me includes: - name: James Ray; - date of birth: 10/10/1992 (age 24 as of March 2017); - occupation: technical support engineer at Sungrow full-time, and learning C++ and other programming skills to use for local electricity trading with the blockchain; - industry: renewable energy; - Background Nationality: Australian Citzen (born in Katoomba, grew up in Springwood and Winmalee, been in Sydney since I started studying in 2011—finished B Eng in 2014) - days and times for meeting, discussions and viewing: preferably on weekends. I don't drink or smoke. I'm a vegan. I try to avoid imposing my views on others, especially if they don't seem like they'd be receptive or interested in my views. (Doing so is generally a waste of time, I would be better off working on changing myself). I do my best to be friendly and get along with others. As of the 25th of March 2017, I'm working full-time as a technical support engineer at Sungrow, and will probably continue working full-time for the next few months. I'm also learning C++ to use for development of local electricity trading with the blockchain in my spare time. My work days at Sungrow previously varied between two, three and five days per week, depending on demand and staff availability. I do my best to follow Self-Realization Fellowship teachings, meditate and go to a chapel every week (or a few times per week) in Surry Hills for group meditation, listening to a service reading, and chanting. For more information about me, visit Sustergy.co. Currently I live in Surry Hills. I want to live as close as possible to work at 61 Lavender St, Milsons Point NSW 2061, and so that I can live somewhere that is quiet. I'm looking for a place to stay for the long term. Here is my wishlist for a place (most are preferred and not a requirement, althought the more wishes are met the happier I'll be and the more likely I will be to stay long-term!): - have a furnished room with a single bed, chair, desk, wardrobe, and chest of drawers. I'm open to sharing a room so long as the rest of my preferences are met; - have storage space for two bikes (I may be able to get rid of one); - be quiet (ideally no speakers with TVs, computers, music, where tenants use earphones or wireless headphones); - be clean (no problems with pests such as cockroaches, ants, etc.), in reasonable repair (e.g. no leaking roofs, flyscreens so that mosquitoes don't get in), and secure; - have access to a kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and free laundry (i.e. not a washing machine where you put coins in); - have fast, reliable internet that has a data limit that is always higher than the data usage (I don't use a lot of data as I don't watch many videos, download music, or play games); - have some bare soil to put two compost bins on (I make sure it doesn't smell by using a lid and covering it up with leaves or the like, and I don't put fecal matter or urine in) and have some gardening space; - have access to sunlight; - be less than $250/week; - have a landlord who is courteous, willing to do repairs if needed, or failing that, to let tenants do repairs or minor retrofits (like adding flyscreens, wall bookshelves, ceiling fans, external roller blinds, hooks or screws in walls or furniture to hang things); - sharing with spiritually minded, meditative, non-smoking, non-drinking, vegetarian/vegan, conscientious people; - be preferably close to Milsons Pt. Surry Hills is also OK, however Milsons Pt is preferred as of March 2017, as that is where I work; - payment available by bank transfer. Payment in cash only is something that I do not prefer due to tax evasion, inconvenience and insecurity. - OK with regularly letting guests that sleep in vehicles or on the street enter the property to use shared facilities, but not use my room. I am open to finding a vacant place to rent with suitable people who are also looking for a place.
A 31 year old, not-so-Finnish-looking-Finn who has just moved to Sydney after living in London for the past 5 years. I work in a media agency in North Sydney and am looking for a place to call home. I love travelling and exploring new food joints, though do like to cook and bake at home as well ;)
A furnished room in a cute three-bedroom cottage is available on a short-term or long-term, two blocks from the train, with the 265 bus stop across the street. You can get to Wynyard in 15 minutes from your front door if you time it right. It's in a freestanding house/cottage with a small front yard, backyard and private deck. (Message me and I'll send you a link to a Youtube clip of it - I can't include a URL in this profile ) There's also a friendly black cat and two well-house lads living here. Looking for someone who will enjoy a glass of wine while watching Netflix every now and then... but please be know this isn't a "party house" ;) I'd prefer to see the flat as a sanctuary, rather than a spot for entertaining guests every week. There's a cafe two doors down, a couple of restaurants and shops at the train station (2 minutes walk), and a tiny wee beach and a lovely marina a half block away and down some steps. We have a weekly cleaning service that comes to keep the flat tidy.... this is included in the rent. Sorry no couples or siblings or friends sharing the room. >> No exceptions!!! << I should also mention that the property owner has an application before the North Sydney council to redevelop this place. But there's still a lot of permits they need and approval, if granted, is at least four months away "if not longer" (according to property manager). If approval was granted we would have 90 days to find a new place. So we should be free to live here until September, if not longer. There's plenty of off-street parking, not that you necessarily need it with the train so close. I haven't bothered to get a residential parking permit ($52/year and available online) as there's a street nearby where you don't need it. Rent includes all utilities (unlimited internet, Netflix, Fetch TV, water, gas, electric), as well your share of the cleaning service. (The only thing it doesn't include is your share of basic supplies like toilet paper, paper towels etc., which are split) The rooms has a bed, a small table, a wardrobe, and drawers under the bed.
Hi, I'm Thirza! I am a clean, friendly and a really easy going person. I work full time in the city so I need to find a place close enough basically to escape traffic nightmares ☺️ I respect those around me and i always love to help out.
Hey there..I'm Nikita, 26 year old from India. I work with an IT company here in Sydney and soon I would be moving out from my current serviced apartment. I'm looking for an already existing accommodation or a teamup with an Indian girl. On weekdays, I'm totally occupied with my work but on the weekends I love to go out and explore places. I have been in Sydney from last 3 months and will be here till Dec.
Irish guy moving to Sydney from Wellington due to promotion with work. Easy going and laid back attitude. Will be away mid week with work quite often. Tidy and like keeping my space clean. Pretty social - up for a beer or whatever on evenings or weekends.
Hi there, I am a 22 year old student at Macquarie University, studying a Bachelor of Medical Sciences in my first year. I am very quiet and keep to myself, I'm honestly not much of a talker and value my privacy. I consider myself a bit of a phantom housemate - rarely seen or heard. I do have a boyfriend that I like to spend time with, but otherwise I don't party or like to have people over. I spend most of my time studying and listening to music, however you won't have to put up with my tastes as I'm aware that sound travels throughout a house and so keep it down, especially at night. I am also a very strict non-smoker and non-drinker. I am generally tidy and clean up after myself, both in my own room and in common areas. I can happily live with cats, though dogs will have to be on a case-by-case basis. I can supply all of my own things like towels, plates/bowls/cutlery and bedding, so the only things I would need to share would be a washing machine, dryer and fridge. I am looking for a preferably unfurnished room, a large room is preferred, as I am a bit of a hermit and tend to live in my room, so being able to comfortably fit a double bed and a desk is a must, however a furnished room is also okay. Anywhere along the North Shore, Northern and Western line is ideal, from about North Sydney to Epping and Hornsby as that would keep me close to uni. ~15 minutes away from a train station would be ideal. My rental budget is a maximum of $200/week, or $250/week if bills and utilities are included. I hope to meet you and become a great housemate! - Blake
Hello, I'm Su. I'm from Korea and working holiday backpacker. I've been looking for a sharehouse in Sydney. I don't smoke, I do drink occasionally. I'd clean my place always and I'm friendly person. I hope I can find a good sharehouse to live. Thank you for reading.
Hi! I'm Clare! 31 yrs old working in disability. I like to keep fit and healthy and enjoy being outdoors when not working. I try to get to gigs or a theatre show a few times a month and study anthropology part time. Lots of interests but generally I simply enjoy learning new things and meeting new people, different cultures, philosophy and psychology...list goes on!
Relaxed, reliable, considerate housemate, looking for a room in a sharehouse with likeminded people, and open to teaming up. I'm social, into travel, snowboarding, and I'm an amateur stand-up comic. I work full-time in policy at Optus by day, and I tend to have a fair bit on in the evenings. I like to stay active playing soccer, tennis, squash or rockclimbing. I also enjoy social boardgames over a couple of drinks, or heading out to comedy gigs, theatre or art exhibitions. * Don't need a carspace, but need to be near a train station. * Not looking to live with couples or children. * For team-ups - I have access to most of the furniture needed to set up a new home. (I also have another ad on here for the house I'm moving out of... I'm helping the landlord find new tenants).
I'm friendly and tidy up after myself :) I'm on a working holiday visa and my boyfriend will come out to join me for a month from Easter :) We need somewhere wheelchair accessible for the month that my boyfriend is here, so from 13th April to 10th May.
Hello friends! :) I'm looking for a single room in a nice house or flat. I'm a 26 professional, work in Macquarie park. I'm clean, tidy and respect others privacy. Always up for a chat and a dinner or something. Please contact me if you got what am looking for. Preferably close to a train station. I got a car so a spot or free street parking will be needed.! Cheers,
Hello there, my name is Sachi and I’m a 30 year old professional working as a Business Analyst in St Leonards. I LOVE to travel [in fact I think I’m addicted to it :)], dance and discovering new genres of music. I’m also involved in community work and volunteer 1 day a week. The Beach is my happy place (a lover of Snorkelling) and I love beautiful sunny days :) I’m looking for a friendly, considerate and mature person with a positive attitude to life. Someone who is clean and tidy is important because…. Let’s be honest no one likes to live in a messy house :) I’m a strong believer in the saying “ it’s not the 4 walls that make it a home, it’s the people living in it", and therefore would love to meet a new flattie who has a similar view :) Other than that, I’m a clean, tidy and very easy going person. You’ll always hear me playing my jazz/ bossa nova/ soul music (not loud, though) and enjoying the simple things in life such as travelling!! :)
Hi, I'm Madi, 24 years old. I work in media and communications Monday to Friday in the CBD. I love spending time with my friends but also don't mind a few quiet nights in with Netflix and a glass of wine.
I'm a chill bloke with 4 years experience living in share houses. Love cooking, sharing beers, socialising, but also enjoy leading my own life. I'm moving to Sydney from Canberra, and will be working in North Sydney. Looking for a house with 3+ people (in total), off street parking for my bike, and friendly housemates who are comfortable leading independent lives, and catching up when we're hanging around.
Hi , My name is Anmol and I am 25 years old. I am working full time in Sydney CBD. I am looking for a place to share from 1st April 2017 onwards. I am fond of reading, travelling and watching movies. I am quite easy going and open minded and like company and privacy in balanced amounts and am looking for a like minded person to share an apartment with. Thanks
Hi my name is Gabi. I'm 25 and work as a nurse. I am looking for a room to rent with easy-going and friendly flatmates. I am a happy, fun and sociable person. I work a rotating roster, and love to make the most of my days/time off. I am a neat and tidy, considerate person which will respect others space. If this sounds like the person you would like to live with please feel free to get in touch! Looking forward to hearing from you :)
I've lived with others for almost 10 years now, and well understand the value of both being social and having personal space. Moving to Sydney for full-time work from Adelaide. No issues with living with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Hey there! Ok, so I'm looking for a new place and new housemates! I'm currently living in the lower North Shore and I would like to stay in this region. I work full time in Marketing and Communications in the city and during the week have a pretty normal routine (including trying to lie to myself that I'll go to the gym but it doesn't really happen hehe). Jokes aside, I'm pretty easy going and reliable (aka always pay all the bills and rent with no delays) and will always respect your space and privacy.
I work full-time on weekdays. Prefer to spend the weekends outdoors - coastal walks, short hikes, beaches, etc. I have got varied interests including art and literature too. No pets, please!
Hi my name is Joanne, I'm 26 and a biomedical engineer. I'm originally from Melbourne and made the move to Sydney almost 2 years ago for work. I'm a pretty easy going person. I love meeting new people, exploring new places and trying new things. I love travel and I do travel a fair bit for work. I like to socialize and don't mind getting out every now and then. I'm not neat freak but I do like to keep things neat and tidy.
Hey Guys! Im a paid intern at a law firm working full time. Im from NZ, fairly new to sydney having only been here for a few months now.
