Hello future housemates! My name is Javs and I'm a full-time young professional working in the defence industry. I'm a healthy eater, and I like to keep myself active and social. I'm honest, responsible, and clean. I respect privacy, but it's also cool to kick it if we vibe. If we don't, that's cool too 🙂. I value open, honest communication and if there are any issues or problems I'd like to get those out in the open and sorted out. If you think we might be good housemates feel free to give me a call. looking forward to meeting you!
I’m a lawyer based in Canberra and looking to team up with some housemates. Looking to find a nice quiet household - I’m pretty flexible on furnishings and who I live with as long as everyone is easy to get along with. Looking forward to meeting you!
Hi there! I'm moving down to Canberra for a 12 month government IT contract, starting November 12. When I lived in Canberra previously, I tended to spend a fair bit of my time mountain biking and motorcycling. These days however I'm more into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and keen to snowboard over winter.
We’re 4 working professionals (2 couples), who have been close friends for 7+ years. 2 of us are undertaking study on-top of working full-time. We’re looking for a 12-month lease with the option to extend as we are looking for a long-term living arrangement.
Hey there! I'm a 26 year old high school teacher looking for a housemate (and a property). Have teamed up with another girl, a grad lawyer from Melbourne moving up in January. I'm fairly quiet to live with, as I am doing full time teaching and doing my masters, so in the afternoons and weekends I am either at the gym, marking work, or studying (or stress eating). I'm very clean, I cook often, and I'm organised. I have two cats who sleep 20 hours a day and currently spend their day split indoors and out. I'd prefer someone who has lived with/likes cats, as mine are very friendly and like company.

G'day, I'm in the process of transferring to ANU for my 3rd yearish studies in IT. I have experience living in shared accommodation, small rooms, and weekly cleanliness inspections. I am excellent at staying tidy and would prefer housemates who keep areas clean. I'm a fun, laid back dude who'd be keen on getting to know new people. On my off time, I enjoy working out, surfing, bouldering, gaming, and all round relaxing. Whilst I enjoy socialising, I am an avid believer of everybody needing their own space and downtime. I'd like fellow flatmates who are also clean, friendly, and sociable but respects other people's private time. Non-smokers ideally. Looking to move into sharehouse/flat, preferably with only 1 or 2 other people or teaming up with someone and hitting up the rental market Unfortunately I'm allergic to all pets known to man except reptiles and fish apparently.
I’m an honest, reliable, clean and tidy professional. Pretty relaxed but do prefer a clean home and to share with others who like the common shared spaces to be kept tidy. I’m friendly and quite happy to share a meal or a glass of wine and have a chat on occasion but I like my own space. I’ve shared with 2 girls in their early 20s the past 2 years; it’s been fun to hang out and it’s worked because we respect each other’s privacy and individuality. I am open to sharing with people of any age if they are mature, respectful, trust-worthy, self-aware with a positive, can-do, friendly attitude. Art, hiking, cycling, Pilates, Netflix, great food, coffee and wine, board games, authenticity and honesty are all up there as things I enjoy and value. I’m really looking to live as near to my workplace as possible so Braddon, Reid, Manuka, Kingston, Red Hill, Garran, Griffith are my preferences. $300/week including utilities is my maximum. ** Im looking for a shorterm share of 4 months starting early January (I’ll be housesitting from May 2019)
I'm moving from Brisbane to take up a job with the department of defence and to complete my degree in IT. I'm a single 22 year old and I'm keen on rowing, cycling and keeping fit. Always keen on having some fun when I've got free time on weekends. Happy to help out with cooking and cleaning around the house and have had experience in a couple of share houses over the past couple of years.
I am Dean, a Graduate in the APS - with previous experience in the Queensland State Government. I hold a Law Degree from Griffith University. I am looking to move into a house/apartment in Canberra in February 2019 - either in the inner north or inner south of Canberra. I am a friendly, outgoing individual who enjoys making friends, going out to bars and having adventures. I am a clean person, who is easy to talk to and get along with. I am originally from Esk (a small country town) in Queensland about 100km's North West of Brisbane.
Hi, I'm Riley! I'm moving up to Canberra from Adelaide in early 2019 to work full-time as a legal grad. Ideal move-in date is early-mid Jan, but can be flexible in starting earlier if necessary. I'll be working in Forrest, and am especially keen on places riding distance from there. I love cooking, indoor plants, campy horror, lentils, hiking, and brunches. I'm looking for a relaxed and reasonably social queer-friendly sharehouse where people chat and share a drink or dinner every so often. I'm tidy (used to work as a cleaner and habits stick!) and reliable, but not pass-agg about it. At the moment I’m living with my partner Cam and three other people. Cam will be staying in Adelaide for 2019, however he'll be coming up to visit on weekends a few times a year and for slightly longer periods twice a year during university breaks (he works as an academic). Ideally this would include about 3 weeks in mid Jan-early Feb, but very happy to discuss how this could work. He bakes and makes excellent cauliflower curry and is very good value. Would love to hear from you! Feel free to message or text.
I'm a friendly, mature and responsible woman looking for one or more housemates. I don't actually have a place to rent out/share with others at this point - I'm just putting my feelers out to find potential housemates. I would like the company of a friendly and quiet housemate, as I'm looking to move around October-November this year. I would prefer to pay between $150-220 per week, and live in either Woden Valley, the inner south or inner north area. I would also be open to living somewhere in Queanbeyan region for a one bedroom rental in my price range. I am looking for a place that has air conditioning for the summer. I'm very accepting and non-judgemental, as well as being queer/trans/ace friendly. I'd like to live with other LGBT-friendly and open-minded people. I'm fairly quiet and often keep to myself, but enjoy chatting with housemates from time to time. I don't drink alcohol, smoke or party, so I would prefer to live with people who are similar in lifestyle to me. I want to live with people who have good communication skills, and can raise problems directly and honestly. I'm a bit of a night owl as well. P.S. I'm not a vegetarian, and I do eat meat fairly regularly - just thought I'd mention this in case it's a dealbreaker for some people!
23 year old female moving to Canberra to start full time work in January at Canberra Hospital. I will also be studying throughout the year, so living with people who respect that would be ideal :) I love sport (particularly cycling and rowing), being active, watching netflix/movies and hanging with friends. I am a very social person and enjoy company but also enjoy downtime and my own space. I should probably mention that my boyfriend lives in Canberra and he may visit 1-2 nights per week
HI, I'm Krystel and currently looking at finding a room for the next 3 to 6 months starting the 7th of January 2019. I'm originally from France but have been living in Australia for the past 7 years so it's pretty much home. I am moving from Sydney to Canberra for work, and was hoping to eventually get my own place, but it'll be easier to get a room to start off with. I'm super easy going, very tidy, a vegan but I don't care what you eat (no joke! I'm not one of the crazy vegans), and don't intend on bringing the part home. I usually keep to myself but happy to hang out and have a chat every now and again. I am very busy outside of work, so don't spend much time at home so you'd barely ever see me yet I would pay rent! Win Win! I'm also looking for a place for 6-9 months as I'll then be trying to get my own place. Any questions, please ask :)
Hi guys, I'm Sophie! I have just finished my degree in Auckland and will be moving to Canberra from New Zealand to start a full-time graduate position in late January. A little bit about myself, I am a friendly and outgoing person who is all about the outdoors. I love snowboarding and will definitely be getting a season pass so bonus points if you know the local mountains and can recommend which one to go to. I'll be new to Canberra so am keen to get out and see what the city has to offer, maybe enjoy a few beers or a strong coffee. I also love Netflix and chill nights at home with good company. I'm tidy, respectful of your space, great with paying bills on time, and won't eat your food. Side note - I have a gorgeous dog who will be joining me in Canberra once I am settled in so a house that allows pets would be ideal.
Hello! Our names are Rae and Sarah and we are a queer couple that have been the exception to the “no couples” listings on many share house advertisements. We have JUST moved to Canberra from Melbourne and are looking to find a place with like-minded people that have room for two, which would preferably be two rooms but we could potentially fit in one if a household can provide room for a shared office/studio working space. We have downsized and don't have any furniture but will sort out what we need for our room/s if they aren't furnished. Rae is an avid cyclist, DIY enthusiast, and a creative who works on their business from home. Sarah is a Science and Maths teacher who loves performance arts, Harry Potter, and pretty much all animals. We like to spend our time roller skating, doing fitness, and dressing fabulously. At home we enjoy a relatively quiet and communal vibe by playing board games with housemates, having occasional shared dinners, and cups of tea. We are mostly vegan but are understanding of all food choices (except maybe sanguinivores). Sometimes we like to have friends over but we honestly don’t have many here yet (please be our friend?!). We are experienced living in share houses respectfully as a couple and are understanding of differing schedules and needs. Respect and good communication in a house is important to both of us. Good house mates are queer/trans friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, SW friendly and have an understanding of mental health. Extra House-Points if you have a garden, chickens and/or other pets!
