Hello! I’m Dąbrówka, I'm a 23 years old PhD student and I am coming to Canberra for 5 months next year to do a University internship at ANU - so I’m looking for a room exactly for the period of 10th Jan to 31st May. Since I'm coming to Australia only for that time I need the room to by fully-furnished, with an equipped kitchen and I would really really appreciate if I could also borrow and use some beddings and linens! I would prefer the room to be with own bathroom, but I'm looking forward to any offer ;) A little bit about myself – I am doing a PhD in physics, I'm passionate about science, but also with many other hobbies - I love travelling, visiting new places and learning about other cultures, love sport (especially cycling and stretching, but any movement is great), good books, psychology, environment and vegan food ;) I am very very tidy (I always keep the room I live in clean) responsible and peaceful person, generally calm and quiet and liking my own private space, but love to make nice conversations and meeting new people too! I’m generally very easy-going and non-problematic, so I'm sure we can get along ;) It's important to me for the apartment to be warm in colder times (since I get chilly quite easily!) and to be within cycling distance to ANU and hopefully not to far from some supermarket. Please contact me if you have any offers! Cheers :)
I'm from Melbourne, moving to Canberra for a grad program in February 2020. I'm friendly, easygoing, tidy and independent. I'm happy doing my own thing but also hope to make new friends (as I don't know many people in Canberra), and am down to hang out/shared dinners/movies/bevs etc. I lived in a 12-person sharehouse in Switzerland for 6 months, so I'm used to sharing my space and contributing to chores etc., and enjoy living in a place where there is plenty going on (but also need my downtime). A bit about me: I love to travel, and have lived in France, Switzerland and Canada. I love animals (but am sadly allergic to cats) and sometimes look after Guide Dog puppies in training. I'm an enthusiastic (but not overly talented) skier and am looking forward to being close to the slopes in Canberra next year. I'm a non-smoker, and prefer to live with non-smokers. I'm looking to find other young professionals or students to share a centrally located house or apartment in 2020. I hope to be able to cycle to work, so would like to be less than 10km from Parliament. Feel free to get in touch if you are also in the same boat! Cheers.
Hi there, i am a 31 year old non smoking Aussie. I have **TWO INDOOR BURMESE CATS** who i love and adore. I have recently moved to Canberra from Northern Australia and have been offered a job within the Woden area. Ideally I am seeking to share a place with one or two others MAX. **I have two beautiful Burmese cats who are INDOOR only as as a result am seeking to share with others who are respectful that they cannot be let outside as well as people who enjoy having cats around the house as my two are very affectionate and love to follow people around the house and be pat.** Ideally, I would like an ensuite room or at the least, my own bathroom and a room large enough to fit a queen bed, desk and personal belongings. I like to get outdoors, am active, love a few drinks with friends on the weekends, love to travel and like to eat well. I also love having a little veggie and herb garden where possible :) Given my ripe old age, I like to keep a quiet home and don't like having parties in my house. I love a happy safe home and am seeking similar in a housemate(s).
Hey! I'm Sandhya. I'm originally from WA and moved to canberra in 2018 to start full-time work with the Australian Public Service next year. I love a good cup of coffee (but I swear I’m not a coffee addict), enjoy watching soccer (and playing it) and am always up for a game of monopoly, cranium or any other boardgame. Looking for a housemate that I can share an occasional meal with when we’re both home or chats over wine. Most importantly, I’m tidy (with a love of on point design aesthetics), respectful of personal space and down time, and can contribute top notch baking skills.
Hi! My name is Jack and I will be starting work as an APS graduate in Feb 2020, so looking to hopefully looking to make the move from Melbourne to Canberra in late Jan 2020. I will be working full time but I am really keen to become good friends with the people who I am moving in with! I am big on cycling and running and would be really keen to go for hikes and trips out of Canberra on the weekend. I am also keen to join some local sports teams and hang out for drinks! I have lived in a number of share houses while completing university in Melbourne and I am neat and organised. Please shoot me a message/give me a call if you would like to look at getting a place together, ideally looking for a house of 3 to 4 people. Thanks!
Hey there! I'm a 23 year old guy moving to Canberra from Hobart to study masters in international relations. I studied Economics and Philosophy as my undergraduate, and have lived in Norway, Germany, and Melbourne. I'm a very laid back person (in a good way), and I love hanging out with friends and meeting new people. I have many interests, such as learning languages (German and Russian), traveling, reading, sport (gym and table tennis mainly, but I enjoy all sports and have played many others), bushwalking, and skiing. I love trying new things and going on adventures. I'm looking for somewhere to stay for the two years of my masters. Ideally I'm looking not just for house mates who are tidy, respectful, and hard workers (with study or work), but also that we have a lot of fun together in our free time and hopefully we can become good friends!
Easygoing, considerate, friendly, responsible, tidy, social (but not excessively so) young-at-heart male. I work in IT. I'm 48, though most people think i'm in my early 40s. I'm a Sydneysider about to commence an initial six month APS contract in early December, so I'm looking for somewhere that is close to or easily reachable to the Parliamentary Triangle. I'm originally from the UK, but have lived in Australia for over 20 years (dual citizenship). I have family in Sydney and will generally be away at weekends, unless work or events require me to stay in Canberra. To relax, in addition to the usual social activities, I do a little bit of photography in my spare time, alongside some music composition (on laptop/headphones only - no loud noises!). I'm also working on improving my fitness, so I would happy to be around active (or trying to be active) people. I'm not much of a TV watcher, so I won't monopolise the lounge room! I'm more of a music and movies buff, though I like some sports - (mostly AFL, some rugby union, cricket, motorsport). I'm a good conversationalist, and if you are into such things I'm an INFP. I'm non-religious, non-ageist, pet-friendly. I am straight, but LGBT+ friendly, I'm a non-smoker, a light social drinker and an omnivore. I'm open to sharing or a sole tenancy / granny flat arrangement, though my preference is sharing.
I'm 22, moving from Brisbane to Canberra for a new job in the APS. I love reading, board game nights, outdoor activities, a good brunch out (and the chance to explore new cafes, of which I'm hoping Canberra has many!). I've just finished up a dual degree while also working at an eco friendly store called Biome for 5 years, and am keen to move to Canberra, make some friends, and work hard. I enjoy having a good chat, but also like a bit of time to myself to recharge, so I reckon I could find a good balance with my fellow flatmates based on their needs as well as mine.
Hi ! I’m Julita, a student from Brussels, Belgium. I’m going to do an internship at the Belgian embassy in Yarralumla and I need to find an accommodation. I'm looking for a place to live from now until February 2nd. I’m 22 yo, easy-going, tidy, respectful and social person. I’ll work full time from 9-4 Monday to Friday in Yarralumla. I would love to be walking distance to the cafes, bars and close to the city. I’m thinking of buying a bike to get around easily. In my spare time I practice tennis and used to dance ballet. On weekends, I like to go out, do sightseeing, hiking or simply reading books. It depends on the mood and things I have to do. During the week, I try to find some time to work on my master’s thesis (I’m in my final year of uni). I guess my English is not perfect as I would like it to be but I’m working on it. I’m looking for a positive and friendly flatmates who doesn’t mind having a glass of wine (or beer) or doing their own thing either. Feel free to send me a message if it's you! About the place, I’m looking for a furnished room and preferably bike ride away from the embassy, max $300/wk bills inc.
My name is Jeremy and I am an easygoing, IT Professional in his 30's who has recently moved to Canberra. I am social but also respect peoples privacy. I am clean and like cooking, so happy to cook an occasional meal for the house.
