Hi there thanks for checking my profile, I have recently moved to Canberra from sunny Brisbane. I am very easygoing and tidy guy and quiet normal and easily get along with most people. I might seem a little quiet in the beginning until I know people but always love to have a chat and very social. Also love to share a meal and the occasional drink as well as hangout once in a while. I am a software professional and work in Deakin. Looking for a place to move into with friendly and mature flatmates somewhere ideally around Lyneham area or somewhere close to Deakin and Civic. I am fairly active and and keep myself busy most evenings either going to the gym or doing something else and I love Latin dancing. I have been doing that for years and end up going to some of those events few nights a week. I play some sports socially probably pretty bad at all of them I play except in some rare occasions :-) (still like to play for fun)! When I am home I love to watch movies, used to binge watch tv shows on Netflix when I have time. I also cook some nights and relax and have a conversation with flatmates. I do like an occasional drink once in a while over a conversation and I am not a party animal but do party hard once in a while. I would also be away one or two weekends in a month going to Sydney to meet friends or attending dance events. So more space for you on some weekends :-) Please message me if you think I am someone who you would like to live with and have a comfortable room to share :-) We can have a chat and go from there!
Hey! I'm Sandhya. I'm moving to Canberra from Perth, WA to start full-time work with the Australian Public Service next year. I love a good cup of coffee (but I swear I’m not a coffee addict), enjoy watching soccer (and playing it) and am always up for a game of monopoly, cranium or any other boardgame. Looking for a housemate that I can share an occasional meal with when we’re both home or chats over wine. Most importantly, I’m tidy (with a love of on point design aesthetics), respectful of personal space and down time, and can contribute top notch baking skills.
Hello! I am a Belgian student who is going on an adventure in Australia. This adventure consists mostly of fulfilling an internship at the Belgian Embassy in Canberra, which means I will be at the embassy during the week. I was hoping to find some fun roommates to share this experience with. I am a very sociable person, enthusiastic, energetic and on top of that I am tidy with a good sense of Belgian humor.
New to Canberra and looking for a flat with a good social vibe but tidy and respectful flatmates. I'm working full time, on that 9 to 5 office grind, so nothing too crazy. I'm a relaxed kiwi who enjoys cooking, sports, gaming and good conversation. Happy with the counter-culture rebels or urbane elites as long as you are friendly and put your dishes away!
I'm looking for a place to stay Monday night - Friday morning for the next 4 weeks (departing Friday 22 December). The weekends I will head back to Queensland. I am 37, married with two kids (they are staying in Queensland until January now). Normally I like cycling and lots of sports. I am going to be working hard in the daytime and will be no fuss at all.
Working as a hairdresser full time. Love meeting people and hanging out but know about that personal space lovin. Looking to be in a pretty chilled out environment.
Hello! What makes me great to live with... good question Flatmates... I’m pretty tidy, can make delicious food and cocktails and am a very drama free person. I’m an outgoing introvert, so I love company, but will need my own space to chill and recharge at times. I’m well travelled and have been living in Canberra for almost 2 years, but have been away for work almost a year of that collectively. I technically don’t have any pets yet, but my sister has a cat she’s caring for that I’d love to adopt and love animals in general. So I’m definitely pro-pets. I’d prefer a non-smoking household, and while I don’t consider myself a clean freak, would prefer to keep the communal areas pretty clean (dishes in the dishwasher and not left in the sink for days, no popcorn left in the couch... you know, the usual stuff). I’ve got enough furniture for a 2 bedroom apartment but am looking to upgrade to a house and share with people to reduce my rent spendings so I can hopefully afford a house deposit and smashed avo’s on toast. I’m looking to share with cool professionals that are respectful of space but happy to share the occasional meal and a glass of wine. I’m a veggo for intolerance reasons, but don’t mind if you’re a hardcore carnivore or vegan. I’m good to move from January and happy to move into an established home or team up and find a wolf pack to share an awesome house in the inner south or north (I’m not a lake-sideist).
We are a young couple, one of us is a student/part time worker and the other is in the APS. We are looking to move out of our parents' houses. We tend to keep to ourselves as we work, both day and night shifts however we are social on the rare occasion our schedules line up. We would prefer somewhere with our own kitchen/kitchenette as we are vegan and nut free. We both work and go to school in the city so, we are looking for something around that area (basically not Tuggeranong or Belconnen). Thanks for reading!
Sporty life enthusiast from Finland, Europe, looking for a flat/flatmates due to a internship in an Embassy in Canberra. I'm staying from January to April and afterwards going to travel around Australia. Few facts about me: - 26-year-old law student from Finland, Europe, - Respectful, open minded, positive attitude, - I'm neat, tidy and happy to help with house chores, - Non-smoker nor a fan of party life, but a glass of wine on a weekend when served with good company is always welcomed! - Languages: English, Finnish, French, Swedish What I'm looking for my stay: - to meet new people, make friends and experience Australia thoroughly since it's my first time there, - morning runs and other sports, - work full-time, - finalize my Master's thesis under the Oz sun, - enjoy good food (I love cooking!).
CIT environment graduate looking for long-term accommodation. I like to keep my place clean and tidy, and I get along with just about anyone. I enjoy art, photography, gaming and the outdoors.
Ayden & I are both active individuals who enjoy our down time when at home. When we're not training or traveling for competition (we're cyclists) we're usually watching netflix or down the road at a cafe. Other than cycling, I have just recently completed my undergraduate architecture degree in Sydney and plan on starting my masters degree in March at the University of Canberra. I love to cook & bake and appreciate a clean living environment. Ayden is super easy going & can get along with just about anyone (and he knows how to make a good cup of tea)! In between training he works with a catering company. We're looking for a new place as my lease in Sydney ends in November & Ayden's current Canberran flatmates are moving on in February. Ideally looking for a master bedroom with ensuite & also the capacity to store a few bikes. Minimum stay 6 months.
Heyya :) my name is Philipp and I am a German student. I grew up close to Frankfurt but moved south, close to the Swiss border for my studies. I spent my last seven months in Wellington as an exchange student and intern and I'm coming to Canberra in January for another 3-month full-time internship, so I'm looking for a place to stay for that time! :) I am fairly outgoing and really easy to live with, I've been told. :) I'm a rather sportive guy, my favourite sports being Tennis, Soccer, Basketball and a few others. I also really like to go for a beer or two at a pub ;) I would say about myself that I am quite tidy, although my Mom would probably disagree... I don't mind how many people I would be living with or how big the room/apartment is, like I said I'm quite easy-going, Anyway, if I sound like someone that you would like to live and have a yarn with, I would really love to hear from you and maybe we'll be flatmates soon! Cheers, Phil
Hi I am a recent graduate now working full time looking for a room in a sharehouse. I am clean, social and friendly. I love cooking and meeting new people. I am also a sporting person, I play ultimate frisbee competitively and love exploring the outdoors.
Professional working within the government. Friendly, neat, tidy, quiet - I work both as a full-time government employee and as a published novelist. Fully respect privacy but always available to chat with my housemates. Enjoy cooking, keeping productively busy, and the occasional glass of something red and good conversation.
I'm moving to Canberra from Melbourne to start work as a grad in the public service, looking for somewhere clean and relatively close to work. I mostly just read and watch movies at home, so I'll generally keep to myself, but do also enjoy a chat/drink (and not averse to a good party either if that's your thing). I'm a pretty tidy person, and a non-smoker.
I'm a friendly, mature and responsible woman looking for one or more housemates. I don't actually have a place to rent out/share with others at this point - I'm just putting my feelers out to find potential housemates. I would like the company of a friendly housemate, but I'm not in a rush to move. I would rather wait and find the right person(s). Planning to stay in Canberra for 12-18 months, then move to Melbourne. I would prefer to pay between $150-200 per week, and live in an inner south or inner north suburb (e.g. Kingston, Yarralumla, Griffith, Lyneham, O'Connor). I would also be open to living somewhere in Queanbeyan. I'm very accepting and non-judgemental, as well as being queer/trans/ace friendly. I'd like to live with other LGBTI-friendly and open-minded people. My main interests are psychology, visual art and spirituality. I'm fairly quiet and often keep to myself, but enjoy chatting with housemates from time to time. I have a partner who visits but never sleeps over. I don't drink alcohol, smoke or party, so I would prefer to live with people who are similar in lifestyle to me. I want to live with people who have good communication skills, and can raise problems directly and honestly. I'm also a serious night owl, and would probably get along best with other people who stay up late. I'd prefer somewhere pet friendly as I do cat fostering, but it's not essential as I don't have any long-term pets. P.S. I'm not a vegetarian, and I do eat meat fairly regularly - just thought I'd mention this in case it's a dealbreaker for some people!
I’m Haynes, 23 years old, and from Melbourne! I’m working full-time in the APS (in Barton) and I’m looking to move closer to the city. As it's my first time living in Canberra, I’m keen to explore new venues/bars/restaurants and see what the city has to offer. I'm a very respectful, tidy and happy housemate who loves to be social but can also respect others personal space. I don't have any pets or dependents & I'm interested in securing long-term accommodation. Things I like: - Food festivals - Films - Good coffee (basically a pre-requisite to living in Melbourne) - 80’s music - Reading - Hiking/jogging - Cycling Ideally I'm looking for my own room in a friendly house. I’m interested in a long-term rental close to the city or universities – but I’m flexible. Shoot me a message, I’d love to hear from you.
I will be moving to Canberra to start working full time at the Royal Danish Embassy starting end January 2018. I'm currently a political science student from Denmark. I'm pretty easy going, easy to talk to and very sociable.Since I don't know anybody, I would love a roommate who also want to do something and spent time together (I'm not saying that i am going to be clingy, and I do respect and enjoy privacy). I'm very active. I like to play football/soccer and run or go hiking and explore the city. But I kind of also really like candy and Netflix - I get easily addicted to new series.
Hi! My name's Islay, and my partner's name is Jacob. We're looking for a 6 month to 12 month (or more) place that is within around 15mins drive to the city (if possible)! We're laid-back, chill people who are looking forward to a fresh living space. A little about us: We both study at ANU - I study science (biochemistry and cell/molecular biology) and Jacob studies engineering (renewable energy and theoretical physics [he's definitely the smart one!]), which is what takes up most of our time during the week. On weekends, we both work our respective jobs. We're a busy couple, but in our down time we like to cook together, take walks and watch movies (usually sci-fi). Please let us know if we sound like the kind of people you'd like to share with. We're always up for a chat :)
Hi all, Social and considerate 32 y/o with plenty of share housing experience. I don’t smoke, work full time in a science roll for the public service and throw a bit of study in occasionally. In my spare time I enjoy catching up with friends, cooking good food for myself and others, travel, movies, playing sport(professional social sport ring in) and running trails. Looking to move somewhere from November but very flexible
I'm moving to Canberra in January to begin work as a 2018 APS grad. Currently I'm finishing up my psychology degree in Newcastle, then will be travelling in Europe for a couple of months and moving down to Canberra after the new year. I start work on January 31 but happy to move in earlier and get settled into a place. Interested in meeting new people, getting to know Canberra, playing sports etc. I'm looking to a find a place within walking/cycling distance to Civic and ideally close to shops, restaurants. Prefer a place where everyone is clean and tidy, friendly, open for a chat and just generally laid back.
