I am a registered nurse at Calvary John James, have a busy lifestyle, very clean and tidy. Looking for a one bed flat or granny flat preferably in South Canberra. Don't mind sharing as long as i can have an ensuit or own bathroom.
Hey there! Moving out of my sharehouse in Hackett in July and looking for a room with some cool people :) Reasons why I reckon I'm great to live with: 1) Love to have conversations about everything. Seriously, from history/political events to the pineapple pizza debate (pro-pineapple btw), just pick a topic and go. 2) Aires; this month I will find a new beginning, so that's something 3) Banter game strong 4) Own a BBQ and cook some mean burgers (American mother, it's in my blood); can lend it to my friend if there's no space as well, no dramas. 5) Lived overseas (HK and Taiwan) for a collective 10 years before moving back to Australia for uni 6) Play a little bit of bass so any drummers/musicians in the house holla at your boy and lets jam 7) Spag bog is also in the repertoire 8) I'm very tall (can reach high shelves on request) 9) Mediocre at all things video game related 10) Board game fanatic (if you play chess, I'll wanna play all the time) 11) Queenslander I've lived in a few sharehouses before so I'm pretty well versed on the general etiquette (clean/tidy), but also know that each place is different and will go in with an open mind, keen to make some friends out of it cause if you can't be friends with the people you live with then that's just sucky. Send me a message if you think we'd get along and we can have a chat over a coffee/wine! Flexible with move in dates past July 1st
I'm 23 and just finishing up my degree. Working part time at the moment, and about to start working full-time at the end of the year. I love to travel and am searching for a place to live in August when I get back from a year in America and Europe. In my spare time I love to go out with friends, do brunch, drink wine, play video games, and watch trashy TV. I love animals, especially dogs, and would prefer a pet-friendly house (although I don't have any pets just yet). I am friendly and easygoing, and would love an environment I can relax in but can also have fun with everyone when we feel like it. I'm looking for flatmates to become a little family with seeing as I don't know that many people in Canberra any more. I'd love to either join a current house or start a new house with like-minded people. I'm looking for a preferably mixed-gender house full of people who would be happy to have a chat after work and share some wines over dinner. I also love to bake desserts so would love people who would eat what I bake so I don't end up eating it all myself! Please feel free to send me a message if you'd be interested in living together
Looking for some cool peeps to live with! Work in Civic so inner North would be great, but I'm fairly flexible. :) About me: - Moved the Canberra from Brisbane in August - INTJ - Tidy, but not OCD clean - Reliable with bills etc - Bearded - Chill AF - Not adverse to a couple of wines after work (and a few more on weekends) Who I’m looking to live with: - Preferably more than just one other person. But I don't mind living with just one person either. - People who are fun - People who are relaxed - People who are open to hanging out occasionally Place I’m looking for: - Location wise I’m looking at Civic, Inner North and anywhere close to Civic really. - Furnished (I’ve only got my own bedroom furniture as well as some kitchen stuff) - Heating/cooling (preferable) - Own bathroom (preferable) - Parking (preferable) - Built in wardrobe (preferable) - Internet Access (MUST) I'm pretty flexible around the place I live so if I sound like someone you could live with, and your place sounds perfect for me, let me know! The bf usually sleeps over a few nights a week so you'd need to be cool with that too 🏳️🌈 :) Cheers Luke
I am 24 and work and study part-time. I am clean, quiet and considerate. I love cooking and having the occasional dinner party, but I also really enjoy quiet nights in. I am looking to set up a place with a like-minded person.
I am moving to Canberra for a role in the public service. I already own enough house essentials (fridge, washing machine, lounge etc) to set up a home, I just need housemate/s to help pay the rent. I am only looking for housemates for a team up so we can rent a house together. I have lived in share houses for the last 15 years. I like a housemate/s who enjoy the community of a house and are willing to share meals and explore Canberra together. I am looking for housemates with secure employment and preferably somewhat near my age. I like board games, computer games, binge watching TV shows (Netflix etc), but also like to ride mountain bikes. I shall be in Canberra from the 10th of July and hope to move into a house in the next 3 weeks. I am happy to talk over email before then, and meet in person once I arrive in Canberra. I don't smoke or do drugs, and am happy to drink on occasions. I identify as LGBTI (m2f transgender). The suburbs I have listed are more of a suggestion, and am willing to consider other suburbs.
I am wanting somewhere to stay that is a self contained, one bedroomed unit or granny flat where I will stay ( mainly Sunday to Thursday) each week. Sometimes my husband will join me. We live in Wagga; I am a professional person, quiet and live in a spotless home in Wagga (our own) so would want a bright and cheerful place with light and off street parking if that was possible. I'll be working in Deakin, ACT.
Chill, professional, open-minded guy seeking a relaxed and fun person/bunch to live with (ideally a gender-balanced house). I usually work on foreign aid projects in warm, exotic places, but will be spending the next 18 months working in Canberra. I tend to be active and love being in the ocean or tearing down a track on my mountain bike. Not into partying much anymore (although I can be coaxed into a night out) but do enjoy a social night in with a few drinks and a good movie, or a good book. Often found trying to cook gourmet dishes, sometimes even known to strum a guitar (poorly). The thought of a Canberra winter terrifies me and I don't really know anyone there yet, so I'll most likely spend my time defrosting in front of the heater until the warmer months roll around :) Some fun facts about me: - Once caught a pig in a swimming race (I won) - Almost tumbled into a lava pit during a holiday - Favourite movies include Dr Strangelove, Casablanca, The Truman Show and Blade Runner - Travelled to about 30 countries, lived in 8 Oh, and I'm open to other suburbs and also higher weekly rents if it's all good.
Hi, I've just moved to Canberra for work and am looking for somewhere to share. I'm tidy, sociable and very understanding of personal space. Please send me a message if you'd like to know more!
I'm a 46 year old professional from Sydney and will be joining a company in Braddon on 5/6/2017. I'm planning to stay in Canberra only 4 week nights (from Monday to Thursday) as I will be travelling to back to Sydney for the weekend. Occasionally I might stay for the weekend. Also I'm looking for a furnished room with an ensuite or separate bathroom (not a shared bathroom). Rent per week - $ negotiable depending on the location..
I am tidy and neat although I don't like doing dishes and cleaning bathrooms, smile. I like listening to the Beatles and relaxing after work. I have two daughters that would come and visit on the odd weekend ... they live in Wollongong, I go back to the Gong every weekend Friday arvo to Sunday early evening. I smoke but only a couple a day .. livke after eating so would have one or two in the afternoon/evening at the place but Always outside and not near any entryways. I am honest and trustworthy and am in need of a place to stay now that I have a job in Canberra again.
I'm a friendly, mature and responsible woman looking for one or more housemates. I don't actually have a place to rent out/share with others at this point - I'm just putting my feelers out to find potential housemates. I would like the company of a friendly housemate, but I'm not in a rush to move. I would rather wait and find the right person (or people). Planning to stay in Canberra for 12-18 months, then move to Melbourne. I would prefer to pay between $150-200 per week, and live in an inner south or inner north suburb (e.g. Kingston, Yarralumla, Griffith, Lyneham, O'Connor). I'm very accepting and non-judgemental, as well as being queer/trans friendly. I'm fairly quiet and often keep to myself, but enjoy chatting with housemates from time to time. I have a partner who visits once a fortnight, but never sleeps over. I don't drink alcohol, smoke or party, so I would prefer to live with people who are similar in lifestyle to me. I want to live with people who have good communication skills, and can raise problems directly and honestly. I'm also fostering a cat for the next few months, and would prefer somewhere pet friendly. P.S. I'm not a vegetarian, and I do eat meat fairly regularly - just thought I'd mention this in case it's a dealbreaker for some people!
Hey, I am a student completing my hospitality internship at The Hotel Kurrajong. Therefore, would be working part time. I am very easy going and adjustable and usually get along just fine. I like to socialize but at the same time respect your individual space. Really love to cook and play sports (cricket, football). Would preferably look for an accommodation near the city center as I do not have a vehicle or near a public transport stop for easy access. Cheers, Arvind
Hi ! I'm a full-time professional who's looking to find a place near work. I'm clean and tidy and hope to find someone who's the same. But more than anything else I would like to find someone I get along with. I'm hoping to start a new place. Hopefully with someone with (or a willingness to purchase) a refrigerator and washing machine. I should have everything else (TV, couch, coffee table, dining table etc.)!
Hi! I'm moving with my current job (environmental consultant) from Sydney to Canberra. I've been living in sharehouses for eight years. Pretty quiet during the week, I try to exercise most nights. I'm respectful of space, but also keen to be social with my housemate/s.
Need a place to stay for my internship from 14th July - 16th of October. The dream location will be Yarralumla (close to the Embassy). I love food: both cooking and eating, I am super sporty: must run or go to gym or any other workout almost every day. I like hanging around, I am a sociable person but not a must that the roommate shares the same. Respect to each other and loyalty are the most important features! I'm pretty outgoing, like get to known new things. I also fancy late night evenings with sunset and early calls.
I'm a 23-year-old soon to be public health grad from Melbourne who will be working full-time from March 2018. I'm looking for housemates/share-house close to Forrest so I can cycle/walk/take public transport. You can expect me to keep my area tidy and clean, contribute to my fair share of the housework and pay rent and bills on time. I love going to musicals, concerts, visiting art galleries and planning future holiday trips. I also enjoy visiting the cinema, exploring the bush/going on road trips whenever I can and spending quality time with friends and family. I plan to visit home often on weekends.
We are a friendly sharehouse with a spare room to let! House features: • 5-10 minutes walk to Yarralumla shops (IGA, restaurants, etc) • 1 minute walk to ACTion bus stop for '1' route to Woden or Civic. • 1 minute walk to Yarralumla Neighbourhood Oval • close to Lake Burley Griffin cycleway (20 minute cycle into Civic) • protected by Earth's magnetosphere • not haunted by ghosts* • share a bathroom with one other person • share a laundry with one other person (there are two laundries in the house) • share a kitchen with one other person (there are two kitchens in the house) • all mod cons already in house: kitchen appliances, crockery, cutlery, etc. • Courtyard, and space for a vegetable patch, should you be a keen gardener The room has a built-in wardrobe, and also a classy wooden writing table. It can potentially be furnished with a single bed, or you can BYO. All utilities (internet, electricity, water, etc) are paid by the other housemates. Your weekly rent would be your only expense. * heh heh heh heh.....
I am in my 50's, single, kids are all grown and flown. I am Canberra born and bred, single, kids have all grown up. I can cook, and being a home renovator I'm pretty good at fixing things I own a 5 year old Jack Russell who is extremely people/kid friendly. She needs to have some secure outside space. If you'd like to know more please give me a call or send a message.
Hey, I’m Jessie. Im a 28yo woman, I study population health at ANU and work as a nurse in the Woden Valley. I have a cat named Beck who is 9yo, she spends most of her time napping by the heater. I am not a clean freak but can adult pretty well. I pay my rent on time. I’m accepting and quite open minded. I like nature and learning, music and yoga. I’m looking for somewhere closer to the city than I currently am, preferably with its own bathroom. I’m looking for a new place to live as the son of the people who own the granny flat I currently live in is moving back to Canberra from interstate. . How does that sound to you?
I'm looking to join or create a mixed sharehouse with a great vibe - ideally one where everyone is keen on the occasional house 'family' dinner and the odd weekend adventure (be it camping down the coast… or brunch). I work as a public servant, play hockey and touch footy, love reading and dancing to old school RnB and enjoy just hanging out. I also come with a foosball table and a tiny bit of competitiveness.
